| 1 | NUMERICAL STUDIES ON RESONANT AND ENHANCEMENT EFFECTS FOR COUPLING OF MICROWAVE PULSES INTO NARROW SLOTS显示文摘In this paper, modifications to the finite-difference time-domain(FD-TD) method for modeling microwave pulse coupling into a slot, which is much narrower than one conventional FD-TD cell, are discussed. The coupling process of microwave pulse into a slot is studied by using the modified FD-TD method, and the dependence of microwave coupling on slot sizes, the carrier frequencies and the polarization directions of the incident waves is analysed. Resonant and enhancement effects which occur in this process are observed. | 2 | Coupling Effect of Heat Transfer and Flow Resistance in the Rifled Tube Water Wall of a Ultra-Supercritical CFB Boiler显示文摘The coupling factor is used in this study to characterise the combined effect of the heat transfer and resistance characteristics of a rifled tube. Boundary layer theory is utilised to investigate the relationship between the comprehensive coefficient and Reynolds number in two regions, namely, higher and lower than pseudo-critical enthalpy. Results indicate that mass flux exerts a decisive negative influence on the coupling effect, and the impacts of pressure and heat flux are weak. The overall effect decreases rapidly as the mass flux increases, but it increases in the area behind the quasi-critical enthalpy. The coupling effect is also affected by specific heat ratio, thermal acceleration and buoyancy. | 3 | Plasmon-exciton interaction in colloidally fabricated metal nanoparticlequantum emitter nanostructures显示文摘When quantum emitters and plasmonic nanoparticles are in close vicinity,the energy exchange,termed as plasmon-exciton coupling,can make the absorption and emission behavior of the hybrid structure very different from those of the two constituents alone.The coupling strength between the two constituents highly depends on how the hybrid structure is constructed.As a result,a diverse range of coupling effect arise including plasmon induced fluorescence quenching/enhancing (weak coupling),Fano interference (intermediate coupling),Rabi-splitting and lasing (strong coupling).The emergence of different coupling behavior can be controlled by the different combinations of quantum emitters and plasmonic nanoparticles as well as the spatial arrangement of the individual components.Colloidal assembly/synthesis methods are essentially delicate strategies that can build the hybrid nanostructures with nanometer precision and allow for large-scale processing.In this review,we discuss the theoretical models that apply to different coupling behaviors,the optical properties of the hybrid systems,and the advancement of colloidal methods to manipulate the plasmon-exciton in the hybrid structures.We also provide perspectives on the challenges and future directions of the research in coupled plasmon-exciton nanosystems. | Yi Luo Jing Zhao | 2019 | Nano Research2019,12,9: | 3 |

Tests are conducted in the U-shaped water tunnel, which generates an oscillatory flow, simulating the water particlemovements with periodically changing direction under the wave action. Effects ofinitial embedment and loading history are observed. Test results between the wave-soil-pipe interaction and pipe-soil interaction under cyclic mechanical loading arecompared. | 6 | Coupling between the Grain for Green Program and a household level-based agricultural eco-economic system in Ansai,Shaanxi Province of China显示文摘The implementation of the Grain for Green Program(GGP)has changed the development track of the agricultural eco-economic system in China.In response to the results of a lag study that investigated the coupling between the GGP and the agricultural eco-economic system in a loess hilly region,we used a structural equation model to analyze the survey data from 494 households in Ansai,a district of Yan’an City in Shaanxi Province of China in 2015.The model clarified the direction and intensity of the coupling between the GGP and the agricultural eco-economic system.The coupling benefits were derived through linkages between the program and various chains in the agricultural eco-economic system.The GGP,the agroecosystem of Ansai and their potential coupling effects were in a state of general coordination.The agroecosystem directly affected the coupling effect,with the standardized path coefficient of 0.87,indicating that the agroecosystem in Ansai at this stage provided basic material support for the coupling between the GGP and the agricultural eco-economic system.The direct path coefficient of agroeconomic system impacted on the coupling effect was-0.76,indicating that partial contradictions occurred between the agroeconomic system and the coupling effect.Therefore,although the current agroecosystem in Ansai should be provided sufficient agroecological resources for the benign coupling between the program and the agricultural eco-economic system,agricultural development failed to effectively transform agroecological resources into agricultural economic advantages in this region,which resulted in a relative lag in the development of the agricultural economic system.Thus,the coupling between the GGP and the agricultural eco-economic system was poor.To improve the coupling and the sustainable development of the agricultural eco-economic system in cropland retirement areas,the industrial structure needs to be diversified,the agricultural resources(including agroecological resources,agricultural economic resources and agricultural social resources)need to be rationally allocated,and the chain structure of the agricultural eco-economic system needs to be continuously improved. | LI Yue WANG Jijun HAN Xiaojia GUO Mancai CHENG Simin QIAO Mei ZHAO Xiaocui | 2020 | Journal of Arid Land2020,12,2: | 2 |

| 10 | Numerical analysis of thermal impact on hydro-mechanical properties of clay显示文摘As is known,high-level radioactive waste(HLW) is commonly heat-emitting.Heat output from HLW will dissipate through the surrounding rocks and induce complex thermo-hydro-mechanical-chemical(THMC) processes.In highly consolidated clayey rocks,thermal effects are particularly significant because of their very low permeability and water-saturated state.Thermal impact on the integrity of the geological barriers is of most importance with regard to the long-term safety of repositories.This study focuses on numerical analysis of thermal effects on hydro-mechanical properties of clayey rock using a coupled thermo-mechanical multiphase flow(TH2M) model which is implemented in the finite element programme OpenGeoSys(OGS).The material properties of the numerical model are characterised by a transversal isotropic elastic model based on Hooke's law,a non-isothermal multiphase flow model based on van Genuchten function and Darcy's law,and a transversal isotropic heat transport model based on Fourier's law.In the numerical approaches,special attention has been paid to the thermal expansion of three different phases:gas,fluid and solid,which could induce changes in pore pressure and porosity.Furthermore,the strong swelling and shrinkage behaviours of clayey material are also considered in the present model.The model has been applied to simulate a laboratory heating experiment on claystone.The numerical model gives a satisfactory representation of the observed material behaviour in the laboratory experiment.The comparison of the calculated results with the laboratory findings verifies that the simulation with the present numerical model could provide a deeper understanding of the observed effects. | Xuerui Wang Hua Shao Jürgen Hesser Chunliang Zhang Wenqing Wang Olaf Kolditz | 2014 | Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2014,6,5: | 0 |

Taking the concrete-filled steel tube frame-buckling-restrained brace structure system as the research object, the wind speed time histories at different heights of the structure with recurrence periods of 1 year, 10 years and 50 years are simulated. Based on the OpenSees finite element software, the nonlinear dynamic time history analysis of the structure under four working conditions of earthquake single action and wind-earthquake coupling action with recurrence periods of 1 year, 10 years and 50 years respectively is carried out, and the vulnerability curves of the structure under different working conditions are generated based on the seismic demand analysis method. The results show that with the increase of wind action, the structural response and vulnerability have an increasing trend.
