| 1 | Geochemistry of Two Types of Basalts in the Emeishan Basaltic Province: Evidence for Mantle Plume-Lithosphere Interaction显示文摘Based on the temporal-spatial distribution and geochemical characteristics, the Emeishan basalts can be divided into two types: high-P2O-TiO2 basalt (HPT) and low-P2O5-TiO2 basalt (LPT), which differ distinctly in geochemistry: the LPTs are characterized by relatively high abundances of MgO, total FeO and P2O5 and compatible elements (Cr, Ni, Sc), and relatively low contents of moderately compatible elements (V, Y, Yb, Co), LREE and other incompatible elements compared with the HPT. On the diagrams of trace element ratios, they are plotted on an approximately linear mixing line between depleted and enriched mantle sources, suggesting that these two types of basalts resulted from interactions of varying degrees between mantle plume and lithospheric mantle containing such volatile-rich minerals as amphibole and apatite. The source region of the LPT involves a smaller proportion of lithospheric components, while that of the HTP has a larger proportion of lithospheric components. Trachyte is generated by partial melting of the basic igneous rocks at the base of the lower continental crust. | 6 | Properties and characterization of Au^(3+)-adsorption by mycelial waste of Streptomyces aureofaciences显示文摘Mycelial waste of Streptomyces aureofaciences procured from the aureomycin fermentation industry is used as biosorbent for Au3+. The properties of Au3+ adsorption by the mycelial waste are studied. The results indicate that the optimum pH value of Au3+ adsorption is 3.5. The biosorption is a rapid and non-temperature-dependent process. The bio-sorptive capacity with 45.6 mg/g and efficiency with 91.2% are achieved under the conditions of pH 3.5 and 30℃ for 45 min, in which the ratio is 50 mg/g dry weight for the concentrations of initial Au3+ and the mycelial waste. The Au3+ ions adsorbed on the mycelial waste can be eluted. The observation in a transmission electron microscope shows that the Au3+ ions can be reduced to Au particles by the mycelial waste and the Au can become gold crystals with differentforms and sizes. | 8 | Water contents and deformation mechanism in ductile shear zone of middle crust along the Red River fault in southwestern China显示文摘Using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), we measured water contents of quartz and feldspar for four thin sections of felsic mylonite and two thin sections of banded granitic gneiss col- lected from a ductile shear zone of middle crust along the Red Rivers-Ailaoshan active fault. The ab- sorbance spectra and peak position suggest that water in quartz and feldspar of granitic gneiss and felsic mylonite occurs mainly as hydroxyl in crystal defect, but also contains inclusion water and grain boundary water. The water contents of minerals were calculated based on the absorbance spectra. Water content of feldspar in granitic gneiss is 0.05 wt%-0.15 wt%, and that of quartz 0.03 wt%-0.09 wt%. Water content of feldspar ribbon and quartz ribbon in felsic mylonite is 0.095 wt%-0.32 wt%, and those of fine-grained feldspar and quartz are 0.004 wt%-0.052 wt%. These data show that the water content of weakly deformed feldspar and quartz ribbons is much higher than that of strongly deformed fine-grained feldspar and quartz. The cobalt atoms are bridged by p-CPOA2- groups, forming a one-dimensional chain structure along a axis. The adjacent Co...Co atoms distance is 0.996 8 nm. Compared to most other nanophase materials that derive from inorganic materials, our products are prepared from natural cotton fibers. The products are of spherical shape with mixed crystal forms of cellulose Ⅰ and Ⅱ. The preparation conditions determine the properties of the products. Prior treatment is a critical procedure. The properties of the products are also strongly affected by such conditions as the kinds of acids used, the ratio of the acid mixture, the acid concentration, the ultrasonic agitation time and hydrolysis temperature. The number average molecular weight of NCC is determined by gel permeation chromatography (GPC). The particle size and shape were determined by transmission electron microscopy (TEM). | 13 | Microstructure evolution of single crystal copper wires in cold drawing显示文摘The deformation microstructure evolution of single crystal copper wires produced by OCC method has been studied with the help of TEM, EBSD and OM. The results show that there are a small number of dendrites and twins in the undeformed single crystal copper wires. However, it is difficult to observe these dendrites in deformed single crystal copper wires. The structure evolution of deformed single crystal copper wires during drawing process can be divided into three stages. When the true strain is lower than 0.94, macroscopic subdivision of grains is not evident, and the microscopic evolution of deformed structure is that the cells are formed and elongated in drawn direction. When the true strain is between 0.94 and 1.96, mac- roscopic subdivision of grains takes place, and the number of microbands located on {111} and cell blocks is much more than that with the true strain lower than 0.94. When the true strain is larger than 1.96, the macroscopic subdivision of grains becomes more evident than that with the true strain between 0.94 and 1.96, and S-bands structure and lamellar boundaries will be formed. From EBSD analysis, it is found that part of <100> texture resulting from solidifying is transformed into <111> and <112> due to shear deformation, but <100> texture component is still kept in majority. When the true strain is 0.94, the misorientation angle of dislocation boundaries resulting from deformation is lower than 14°. | 15 | Research on crystal growth and properties of a new nonlinear optical crystal:Bismuth borate BiB_3O_6显示文摘BiB3O6 (BIBO) single crystals with sizes of 44 mm × 24 mm × 10 mm and weight of 24.7 g have been successfully grown by the top-seeded method. In this note, the preparation of seed, the growth of crystal and some problems encountered are reported. The lattice parameters of BIBO are a =7.1203(7)A, b = 4.9948(7)A, c = 6.5077(7)A, β= 105.586(8) ', V=222.93(5)A3, which were determined by BRUKER-P4 four-circle diffractometer. BIBO is biaxial crystal and the relative orientation of (X, Y, Z) with regard to (a, b, c) is: X|| b, (Y, c) =47.2°, (Z, a) = 31.6°, determined by the X-ray analysis combined with polarized microscopy. The second-harmonic-generation (SHG) conversion efficiency of the sample for 1.064 μm light is up to 67.7%. We have also obtained the third harmonic generation (THG) of 1.064 μm, namely, 1.064 μm + 0.532 μn →0.355 μm. | 17 | Effect of hierarchical ZSM-5zeolite crystal size on diffusion and catalytic performance of n-heptane cracking显示文摘Hierarchical ZSM-5zeolite aggregates with different sizes of nanocrystals were synthesized using different amounts of the mesoporogen 3-aminopropyl- triethoxysilane.The effect of the crystal size on the catalytic cracking of n-heptane was investigated and the Thiele modulus and effectiveness factor were used to determine the reaction rate-limiting step.The crystal size affected the textual properties of the catalysts but not the acidic properties of the catalysts.The reaction rate was first order with respect to the n-heptane concentration.Cracking over hierarchical zeolites with nanocrystal sizes larger than about 50nm took place under transition-limiting conditions,whereas the reaction over hierarchical zeolites with nanocrystal sizes of 15 or 30nm proceeded under reaction control conditions.Hierarchical ZSM-5 zeolite aggregates with smaller nanocrystals had better selectivity for light olefins which can be ascribed to the shorter diffusion path lengths and lower diffusion resistance in these catalysts. | 20 | Bi2O3晶体结构和氧缺陷协同作用:促进中间产物的吸附活化、转化途径和光催化反应效率显示文摘在两种不同晶体结构的Bi2O3表面构造了人工氧缺陷,采用实验与模拟计算相结合的方法,从分子层面证实了特定晶体结构和氧缺陷的协同作用可以提高光催化效率,并有效调控光催化转化NO的反应路径,进而加快了整个反应历程.优化后的α-Bi2O3-X可见光净化NO去除率从7.3%增长至20.1%,而β-Bi2O3-X可见光光催化性能从25.2%提高至52.0%,活性增强的差异与不同的晶体结构、氧缺陷有关.
