| 2 | Implementation and security analysis of practical quantum secure direct communication显示文摘Rapid development of supercomputers and the prospect of quantum computers are posing increasingly serious threats to the security of communication.Using the principles of quantum mechanics,quantum communication offers provable security of communication and is a promising solution to counter such threats.Quantum secure direct communication(QSDC)is one important branch of quantum communication.In contrast to other branches of quantum communication,it transmits secret information directly.Recently,remarkable progress has been made in proof-of-principle experimental demonstrations of QSDC.However,it remains a technical feat to bring QSDC into a practical application.Here,we report the implementation of a practical quantum secure communication system.The security is analyzed in the Wyner wiretap channel theory.The system uses a coding scheme of concatenation of lowdensity parity-check(LDPC)codes and works in a regime with a realistic environment of high noise and high loss.The present system operates with a repetition rate of 1 MHz at a distance of 1.5 kilometers.The secure communication rate is 50 bps,sufficient to effectively send text messages and reasonably sized files of images and sounds. | Ruoyang Qi Zhen Sun Zaisheng Lin Penghao Niu Wentao Hao Liyuan Song Qin Huang Jiancun Gao Liuguo Yin Gui-Lu Long | 2019 | Light(Science & Applications)2019,8,1: | 15 |

| 6 | Adaptive sliding-mode path following control system of the underactuated USV under the influence of ocean currents显示文摘The path-following control of the asymmetry underactuated unmanned surface vehicle(USV) under external disturbances such as unknown constant and irrational ocean currents is discussed, and an adaptive sliding-mode path-following control system is proposed, which comprises a path-variable updated law,a modified integral line-of-sight(ILOS) guidance law based on a time-varying lookahead distance and adaptive feedback linearizing controllers combined with sliding-mode technique. A more accurate USV model without the assumption of having diagonal inertia and damping matrices is first presented, aiming at improving the performance of the path-following control. Next, the coordinate transformation is adopted to decouple the sway dynamic from the rudder angle, and the path-following errors dynamics without non-singular problem are presented in the moving Frenet-Serret frame. Then, based on the cascaded theorem and the adaptive sliding-mode method, the adaptive control law of position errors and course error are designed, among which the lookahead distance and integral gain are all computed as different functions of cross-track error to estimate and compensate the sideslip angle caused by external disturbances adaptively. Finally, according to the Lyapunov and cascaded theorem, the control system proposed is proved to be uniform globally asymptotic stability(UGAS) and uniform semiglobal exponential stability(USGES) when the control objectives are all achieved. | 12 | Miura-origami-inspired electret/triboelectric power generator for wearable energy harvesting with water-proof capability显示文摘One of the critical issues for electret/triboelectric devices is the poor charge viability and stability in humid environments.Herein,we propose a new origami-inspired“W-tube”-shaped triboelectric nanogenerator(W-TENG)with two thin-film electrets folded based on Miura-origami.The Miura-origami fold is capable of transforming flat materials with large surface areas into reduced and compressed complex 3D structures with parallelogram tessellations.The triboelectric power generation components can thus be hermetically sealed inside the“W-tube”to avoid contact with the external humid environment.Furthermore,the elastic nature of the Miura-origami fold endows the proposed W-TENG device with excellent deformability,flexibility,and stretchability.Therefore,it is capable of harvesting kinetic energy from various directions and forms of movement,including horizontal pressing,vertical tapping,and lateral bending.The compact,light weight,and self-rebounding properties of the origami structure also make it convenient for integration into wearable devices.Various parameters of the W-TENG are intensively investigated,including the number of power generation units,original height of the device,acceleration magnitude,excitation direction,and water-proof capability.Triggered by hand tapping impulse excitation in the horizontal and vertical directions,the instantaneous open-circuit voltages can reach 791 V and 116 V with remarkable optimum powers of 691μW at 50MΩand 220μW at 35 MΩ,respectively.The outcomes of this work demonstrate the fusion of the ancient art of origami,material science,and energy conversion techniques to realize flexible,multifunctional,and water-proof TENG devices. | Kai Tao Haiping Yi Yang Yang Lihua Tang Zhaoshu Yang Jin Wu Honglong Chang Weizheng Yuan | 2020 | Microsystems & Nanoengineering2020,6,1: | 6 |
| 13 | Inverse-designed photonic fibers and metasurfaces for nonlinear frequency conversion[Invited]显示文摘Typically, photonic waveguides designed for nonlinear frequency conversion rely on intuitive and established principles, including index guiding and bandgap engineering, and are based on simple shapes with high degrees of symmetry. We show that recently developed inverse-design techniques can be applied to discover new kinds of microstructured fibers and metasurfaces designed to achieve large nonlinear frequency-conversion efficiencies. As a proof of principle, we demonstrate complex, wavelength-scale chalcogenide glass fibers and gallium phosphide three-dimensional metasurfaces exhibiting some of the largest nonlinear conversion efficiencies predicted thus far,e.g., lowering the power requirement for third-harmonic generation by 104 and enhancing second-harmonic generation conversion efficiency by 107. | 20 | Self-evident Automated Proving Based on Point Geometry from the Perspective of Wu's Method Identity显示文摘The algebraic methods represented by Wu's method have made signi?cant breakthroughs in the ?eld of geometric theorem proving. Algebraic proofs usually involve large amounts of calculations, thus making it diffcult to understand intuitively. However, if the authors look at Wu's method from the perspective of identity, Wu's method can be understood easily and can be used to generate new geometric propositions. To make geometric reasoning simpler, more expressive, and richer in geometric meaning, the authors establish a geometric algebraic system(point geometry built on nearly 20 basic properties/formulas about operations on points) while maintaining the advantages of the coordinate method, vector method, and particle geometry method and avoiding their disadvantages. Geometric relations in the propositions and conclusions of a geometric problem are expressed as identical equations of vector polynomials according to point geometry. Thereafter, a proof method that maintains the essence of Wu's method is introduced to ?nd the relationships between these equations. A test on more than 400 geometry statements shows that the proposed proof method, which is based on identical equations of vector polynomials, is simple and e?ective.
