1Transmission routes of 2019-nCoV and controlsin dental practice显示文摘A novel β-coronavirus(2019-nCoV) caused severe and even fatal pneumonia explored in a seafood market of Wuhan city, Hubei province, China, and rapidly spread to other provinces of China and other countries. The 2019-nCoV was different from SARS-Co V,but shared the same host receptor the human angiotensin-converting enzyme 2(ACE2). The natural host of 2019-nCoV may be the bat Rhinolophus affinis as 2019-nCoV showed 96.2% of whole-genome identity to Bat Co V Ra TG13. The person-to-person transmission routes of 2019-nCoV included direct transmission, such as cough, sneeze, droplet inhalation transmission, and contact transmission, such as the contact with oral, nasal, and eye mucous membranes. 2019-nCoV can also be transmitted through the saliva, and the fecal–oral routes may also be a potential person-to-person transmission route. The participants in dental practice expose to tremendous risk of 2019-nCoV infection due to the face-to-face communication and the exposure to saliva, blood, and other body fluids, and the handling of sharp instruments. Dental professionals play great roles in preventing the transmission of2019-nCoV. 9Variation character of stagnation point heat flux for hypersonic pointed bodies from continuum to rarefied flow states and its bridge function study显示文摘This paper is a research on the variation character of stagnation point heat flux for hypersonic pointed bodies from continuum to rarefied flow states by using theoretical analysis and numerical simulation methods. The newly developed near space hypersonic cruise vehicles have sharp noses and wingtips,which desires exact and relatively simple methods to estimate the stagnation point heat flux. With the decrease of the curvature radius of the leading edge,the flow becomes rarefied gradually,and viscous interaction effects and rarefied gas effects come forth successively,which results in that the classical Fay-Riddell equation under continuum hypothesis will become invalid and the variation of stagnation point heat flux is characterized by a new trend. The heat flux approaches the free molecular flow limit instead of an infinite value when the curvature radius of the leading edge tends to 0. The physical mechanism behind this phenomenon remains in need of theoretical study. Firstly,due to the fact that the whole flow regime can be described by Boltzmann equation,the continuum and rarefied flow are analyzed under a uniform framework. A relationship is established between the molecular collision insufficiency in rarefied flow and the failure of Fourier's heat conduction law along with the increasing significance of the nonlinear heat flux. Then based on an inspiration drew from Burnett approximation,control factors are grasped and a specific heat flux expression containing the nonlinear term is designed in the stagnation region of hypersonic leading edge. Together with flow pattern analysis,the ratio of nonlinear to linear heat flux Wr is theoretically obtained as a parameter which reflects the influence of nonlinear factors,i.e. a criterion to classify the hypersonic rarefied flows. 14Fabrication of sharp silicon hollow microneedles by deep-reactive ion etching towards minimally invasive diagnostics显示文摘Microneedle technologies have the potential for expanding the capabilities of wearable health monitoring from physiology to biochemistry.This paper presents the fabrication of silicon hollow microneedles by a deep-reactive ion etching(DRIE)process,with the aim of exploring the feasibility of microneedle-based in-vivo monitoring of biomarkers in skin fluid.Such devices shall have the ability to allow the sensing elements to be integrated either within the needle borehole or on the backside of the device,relying on capillary filling of the borehole with dermal interstitial fluid(ISF)for transporting clinically relevant biomarkers to the sensor sites.The modified DRIE process was utilized for the anisotropic etching of circular holes with diameters as small as 30μm to a depth of>300μm by enhancing ion bombardment to efficiently remove the fluorocarbon passivation polymer.Afterward,isotropic wet and/or dry etching was utilized to sharpen the needle due to faster etching at the pillar top,achieving tip radii as small as 5μm.Such sharp microneedles have been demonstrated to be sufficiently robust to penetrate porcine skin without needing any aids such as an impact-insertion applicator,with the needles remaining mechanically intact after repetitive penetrations.The capillary filling of DRIE-etched through-wafer holes with water has also been demonstrated,showing the feasibility of use to transport the analyte to the target sites.Yan Li Hang Zhang Ruifeng Yang Yohan Laffitte Ulises Schmill Wenhan Hu Moufeed Kaddoura Eric J.M.Blondeel Bo Cui 2019Microsystems & Nanoengineering2019,5,1:4

18Double balloon enteroscopy to retrieve an accidentally swallowed dental reamer deep in the jejunum显示文摘Accidentally swallowed foreign objects are not uncommon but difficult to manage without complications. We describe the case of a 68 year old man who accidentally a swallowed sharp-pointed dental reamer that had reached deep in his jejunum. Double balloon enteroscopic retrieval was performed with polypectomy snare but the reamer was entangled in the wire loop of the snare and penetrated the jejunal wall. After releasing the reamer by pushing and pulling the snare for approximately 30 min, the reamer was retrieved with biopsy forceps. This is the first report of double balloon enteroscopic removal of a dental reamer. 20TaCML36, a wheat calmodulin-like protein,positively participates in an immune response to Rhizoctonia cerealis显示文摘Sharp eyespot,mainly caused by the soil-borne fungus Rhizoctonia cerealis,affects wheat(Triticum aestivum L.)production worldwide.In this study,we isolated TaCML36 gene encoding a wheat calmodulin-like protein,and studied its defense role in protection against R.cerealis.Transcription of TaCML36 was significantly elevated by both R.cerealis infection and exogenous ethylene treatment.Transcription was higher in resistant wheat lines than in susceptible ones.There were copies of TaCML36 on chromosomes 5A,5B,and 5D.The TaCML36 protein is composed of 183 amino acids and contains two calcium-binding EFhand domains.Subcellular localization assays in wheat indicated that TaCML36 localizes in both the cytoplasm and nucleus.Virus-induced gene silencing and disease assessment indicated that compared to the controls,TaCML36-silenced wheat plants displayed significantly reduced resistance to R.cerealis and had greater fungal biomass,suggesting that knockdown of TaCML36 impaired host resistance.Knockdown of TaCML36 also significantly repressed expression of pathogenesis-related genes such as Chitinase 1,PDF35,and PR17C,the ethylene response factor-encoding gene TaPIE1,and ethylene biosynthesis gene ACO2.Collectively,our results suggest that TaCML36 positively participates in the innate immune response to R.cerealis infection by modulating expression of defense-associated genes possibly in the ethylene signaling pathway.Lin Lu Wei Rong Ronghua Zhou Naxin Huo Zengyan Zhang 2019The Crop Journal2019,7,5:3
