| 1 | Synthesis and characterization of Sb-doped SnO_2-(CeO_2-TiO_2) composite thin films deposited on glass substrates for antistatic electricity and UV-shielding显示文摘Sb-doped SnO2(ATO)-(CeO2-TiO2) thin Films were deposited on glass substrates using the mixed solution including CeO2-TiO2 precursor and ATO particles by sol-gel dip coating process.ATO particles were prepared using low-temperature hydrothermal process.The mixed molar ratio of ATO to(CeO2-TiO2) vs the properties of CeO2-TiO2 thin film was investigated.The optical properties of the films were characterized by UV-visible transmission and infrared reflection spectra,the sheet resistance of ATO particles and films were measured by rubber sheeter(MYI-50) and four-point probe(HisuperGroup Inc,SDY-5),the surface morphology and structure of the films were analyzed using 3D Digitale Mikroskop and X-ray diffraction(XRD),respectively.The results showed that the ATO precursor solution lost weight completely at about 500 oC,and the ATO particles was obtained,which indicated the same rutile lattice structure as SnO2.The glass substrates coated with ATO-(CeO2-TiO2) thin films showed better properties in antistatic electricity(104-106 Ω/),shielding UV(almost 100%),visible light transmission(70%) and infrared reflection(>30%). | WU Shuo1,ZHAO Qingnan1,MIAO Dengkui1,DONG Yuhong2(1.Key Laboratory for Silicate Materials Science and Engineering of Ministry of Education,Wuhan University of Technology,Wuhan 430070,China 2.Jiangsu Xiuqiang Glasswork CO.,Ltd.,Suqian 223800,China) | 2010 | Journal of Rare Earths2010,28,S1: | 14 |
| 2 | Preparation of novel bovine hemoglobin surface-imprinted polystyrene nanoparticles with magnetic susceptibility显示文摘In this research, a surface imprinting strategy has been adopted in protein imprinting. Bovine hemo-globin surface-imprinted polystyrene (PS) nanoparticles with magnetic susceptibility have been syn-thesized through multistage core-shell polymerization system using 3-aminophenylboronic acid (APBA) as functional and cross-linking monomers. Superparamagnetic molecularly imprinted polystyrene nanospheres with poly(APBA) thin films have been synthesized and used for the first time for protein molecular imprinting in an aqueous solution. The magnetic susceptibility is imparted through the successful encapsulation of Fe3O4 nanoparticles. The morphology, adsorption, and recognition prop-erties of superparamagnetic molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs) have been investigated using transmission electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, thermogravimetric analysis, and vibrating sample magnetometer. Rebinding experimental results show that poly(APBA) MIPs-coated superparamagnetic PS nanoparticles have high adsorption capacity for template protein bovine hemoglobin and compara-tively low nonspecific adsorption. | 4 | Optimization of the process for preparing Al-doped ZnO thin films by sol-gel method显示文摘Transparent and conducting Al-doped ZnO thin films with c-axis-preferred orientation were prepared on glass substrate via sol-gel route. The physical and chemical changes during thermal treatment were analyzed by TG-DSC spectra and the crystallization quality was characterized by XRD patterns. The optimized preheating and post-heating temperatures were determined at ~420℃ and ~530℃, respec-tively. From thermodynamic and kinetics views, we investigated the mechanism of orientation growth with (002) plane parallel to the substrates. The surface morphologies of the films, post-heated at 420℃, 450℃, 530℃ and 550℃, respectively, were observed by SEM micrographs. The film post-heated at 530℃ shows a homogenous dense microstructure and exhibits the minimum sheet resistance of 140 Ω/Sq. The visible optical transmittance of all the films is beyond 90%. | 5 | Novel self-assembled films of La-based phosphonate 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane显示文摘Silane coupling reagent (3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane (APTES)) was prepared on single-crystal silicon substrates to form two-dimensional self-assembled monolayer (SAM). The terminal-NH2 groups in the film were in situ phosphorylated to -PO(OH)2 group to endow the film with good chemisorption ability. Then La-based thin films were deposited on phosphorylated APTES-SAM in order to make good use of the chemisorption ability of -PO(OH)2 groups. The thickness of the film was determined with ellipsometer, while phase transformation and surface morphology, surface energy, phase composition were analyzed by means of atomic force microscope (AFM), contact angle measurements and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The results indicated that the terminal-NH2 groups could be completely transformed into desirable-PO(OH)2 groups after phosphorylation of APTES-SAM. Detailed XPS analysis of the La3+ peaks revealed that lanthanum element existed in the films in different states. As a result, conclusion could be made that lanthanum reacted with -PO(OH)2 groups on the surface of the substrate by chemical bond which would improve the bonding strength between the film and silicon substrate. | 6 | A fast method to diagnose phase transition from amorphous to microcrystalline silicon显示文摘A series of hydrogenated silicon thin films were prepared by the radio frequency plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition method (RF-PECVD) with various si-lane concentrations. The influence of silane concentration on structural and elec-trical characteristics of these films was investigated to study the phase transition region from amorphous to microcrystalline phase. At the same time,optical emis-sion spectra (OES) from the plasma during the deposition process were monitored to get information about the plasma properties,Raman spectra were measured to study the structural characteristics of the deposited films. The combinatorial analysis of OES and Raman spectra results demonstrated that the OES can be used as a fast method to diagnose phase transition from amorphous to microcrystalline silicon. | 7 | Optical characterization of ZnO thin films deposited by RF magnetron sputtering method显示文摘This study investigated the process parameter effects on the structural and optical properties of ZnO thin film using radio frequency (RF) magnetron sputtering on amorphous glass substrates. The process parameters included RF power and working pressure. Results show that RF power was increased to promote the crystalline quality and decrease ZnO thin film defects. However, when the working pressure was increased to 3 Pa the ZnO thin film crystalline quality became worse. | 8 | Preparation and tribological properties of Sol-Gel TiO_2-ZrO_2 composite thin films显示文摘High oriented TiO2-ZrO2 composite thin films on Si (100) and glass sheet were suc-cessfully prepared by sol-gel process followed by dip-coating the ethanol solution of zirconiumoxychloride and titanium tetrachloride. The sol-gel process, microstructure, morphology and tri-bological properties of TiO2 -ZrO2 films were investigated using TGA, DSC, XPS, XRD, AFM anddynamic-static tribometer. The results show that the TiO2-ZrO2films are dense, homogeneous andat a complete tetragonal phase with an excellent antiwear and friction reduction performance. Un-der 0.5N applied load, the friction coefficient is 0.14-0.20 and the antiwear life is more than 5000sliding cycles for both TiO2-ZrO2/ AISI 52100 steel and TiO2-ZrO2/ Si3N4. SEM observation sug-gests that wear mechanism of TiO2 -ZrO2 composite film under low load was fatigue wear, andunder high load was adhesive wear. | 10 | Effect of oxygen partial pressure and transparent substrates on the structural and optical properties of ZnO thin films and their performance in energy harvesters显示文摘Zinc oxide(ZnO) thin films were deposited onto different substrates — tin-doped indium oxide(ITO)/glass, ITO/polyethylene naphthalate(PEN), ITO/polyethylene terephthalate(PET) — by the radio-frequency(RF) magnetron sputtering method. The effect of various O2/(Ar+O2) gas flow ratios(0, 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.4, 0.5, and 0.6) was studied in detail. ZnO layers deposited onto ITO/PEN and ITO/PET substrates exhibited a stronger c-axis preferred orientation along the(0002) direction compared to ZnO deposited onto ITO/glass. The transmittance spectra of ZnO films showed that the maximum transmittances of ZnO films deposited onto ITO/glass, ITO/PEN, and ITO/PET substrates were 89.2%, 65.0%, and 77.8%, respectively. Scanning electron microscopy(SEM) images of the film surfaces indicated that the grain was uniform. The cross-sectional SEM images showed that the ZnO films were columnar structures whose c-axis was perpendicular to the film surface. | 14 | Pulsed laser deposited Al-doped ZnO thin films for optical applications显示文摘Highly transparent and conducting Al-doped Zn O(Al:Zn O) thin films were grown on glass substrates using pulsed laser deposition technique.The profound effect of film thickness on the structural, optical and electrical properties of Al:Zn O thin films was observed. The X-ray diffraction depicts c-axis, plane(002) oriented thin films with hexagonal wurtzite crystal structure. Al-doping in Zn O introduces a compressive stress in the films which increase with the film thickness. AFM images reveal the columnar grain formation with low surface roughness. The versatile optical properties of Al:Zn O thin films are important for applications such as transparent electromagnetic interference(EMI) shielding materials and solar cells. The obtained optical band gap(3.2–3.08 e V) was found to be less than pure Zn O(3.37 e V) films. The lowering in the band gap in Al:Zn O thin films could be attributed to band edge bending phenomena. The photoluminescence spectra gives sharp visible emission peaks, enables Al:Zn O thin films for light emitting devices(LEDs) applications. | 15 | Ordering and disordering of in situ grown MgAl-layered double hydroxide and its effect on the structural and corrosion resistance properties显示文摘A MgAl-layered double hydroxide(MgAl-LDH)protective film was developed on AA6082 substrates via the in situ hydrothermal growth method to obtain a distinct cauliflower-like LDH structure,and coated substrates were further heat-treated in air at temperatures from 100 to 250℃ to further improve the corrosion resistance of MgAl-LDH by taking advantage of the LDH memory effect;also,the effect of calcination on MgAl-LDH structural stability and the corresponding corrosion resistance properties were investigated.The structural characterization of uncalcined and calcined LDH films were examined using scanning electron microscopy,energy-dispersive spectroscopy,X-ray diffraction,thermogravimetric analysis,differential scanning calorimetry,and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy.The corresponding corrosion protection efficiency of the developed coating was studied through potentiodynamic polarization experiments and by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy.Compared with uncalcined MgAl-LDH,the calcined film showed a relatively lower corrosion current density and a higher impedance value,especially after heat treatment at 250℃.The findings demonstrate that calcination strongly affects the oriented growth of the LDH and causes an increase in the surface area and contraction of the basal spacing,which in turn caused a compact structure that substantially influenced the LDH corrosion resistance properties. | Muhammad Ahsan Iqbal Michele Fedel | 2019 | International Journal of Minerals,Metallurgy and Materials2019,26,12: | 2 |

| 17 | Effect of RF power on the structural and optical properties of ZnS thin films prepared by RF-sputtering显示文摘Zinc sulphide(ZnS) thin films have grown on glass and Si substrates by reactive cathodic radio frequency(RF) sputtering. The RF power was varied in the range of 100 to 250 W, while the deposition time is set at75 min. The optical, structural, and morphological properties of these thin films have been studied. The optical properties(mainly thickness, refractive index,absorption coefficient, and optical band gap) were investigated by optical transmittance measurements in the wavelength range of ultraviolet-visible-near infrared spectroscopy and spectroscopy infrared with Fourier transform. Fourier(FT-IR) and XRD analysis indicated that all sputtering ZnS films had a single-phase with a preferred orientation along the(111) plane of the zinc sphalerite phase(ZB). The crystallite size ranged from 11.5 to 48.5 nm with RF power getting a maximum of 200 W. UV-visible measurements exhibited that the ZnS film had more than 80% transmission in the visible wavelength region. In addition, it has been observed that the band gap energy of ZnS films is decreased slightly from 3.52 to 3.29 eV, and as the RF power is increased, the film thickness increases with the speed of deposit growth. Scanning electron microscopy observations revealed the types of smooth-surfaced films. The measurements(FT-IR) revealed at wave number1118 and 465.02 cm^(-1) absorption bands corresponding to the symmetrical and asymmetric vibration of the Zn-S stretching mode. | 20 | Investigations of ZnO thin films deposited by a reactive pulsed laser ablation显示文摘Highly transparent ZnO thin films were deposited at different substrate temperatures by pulsed laser deposition in an oxygen atmosphere. The thin films were characterized by various techniques including X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, optical absorption, and photoluminescence. We demonstrated that oriented wurtzite ZnO thin films could be deposited at room temperature using a high purity zinc target.
