1Mobile-Edge Computing Framework with Data Compression for Wireless Network in Energy Internet显示文摘Under the situations of energy dilemma, energy Internet has become one of the most important technologies in international academic and industrial areas. However, massive small data from users, which are too scattered and unsuitable for compression, can easily exhaust computational resources and lower random access possibility, thereby reducing system performance. Moreover, electric substations are sensitive to transmission latency of user data, such as controlling information. However, the traditional energy Internet usually could not meet requirements. Integrating mobile-edge computing makes energy Internet convenient for data acquisition,processing, management, and accessing. In this paper, we propose a novel framework for energy Internet to improve random access possibility and reduce transmission latency. This framework utilizes the local area network to collect data from users and makes conducting data compression for energy Internet possible. 2An Optimal Feed Interpolator Based on G^2 Continuous Bézier Curves for High-Speed Machining of Linear Tool Path显示文摘A numerical control (NC) tool path of digital CAD model is widely generated as a set of short line segments in machining. However, there are three shortcomings in the linear tool path, such as discontinuities of tangency and curvature, huge number of line segments, and short lengths of line segments. These disadvantages hinder the development of high speed machining. To smooth the linear tool path and improve machining efficiency of short line segments, this paper presents an optimal feed interpolator based on G^2 continuous Bézier curves for the linear tool path. First, the areas suitable for fitting are screened out based on the geometric characteristics of continuous short segments (CSSs). CSSs in every area are compressed and fitted into a G^2 Continuous Bézier curve by using the least square method. Then a series of cubic Bézier curves are generated. However, the junction between adjacent Bézier curves is only G^0 continuous. By adjusting the control points and inserting Bézier transition curves between adjacent Bézier curves, the G^2 continuous tool path is constructed. The fitting error is estimated by the second-order Taylor formula. Without iteration, the fitting algorithm can be implemented in real-time environment. Second, the optimal feed interpolator considering the comprehensive constraints (such as the chord error constraint, the maximum normal acceleration, servo capacity of each axis, etc.) is proposed. Simulation and experiment are conducted. The results shows that the proposed method can generate smooth path, decrease the amount of segments and reduce machining time for machining of linear tool path. 3Wavelet-based data compression for wide-area measurement data of oscillations显示文摘This paper proposes a wavelet-based data compression method to compress the recorded data of oscillations in power systems for wide-area measurement systems. Actual recorded oscillations and simulated oscillations are compressed and reconstructed by the waveletbased data compression method to select the best wavelet functions and decomposition scales according to the criterion of the minimum compression distortion composite index, for a balanced consideration of compression performance and reconstruction accuracy. Based on the selections, the relationship between the oscillation frequency and the corresponding optimal wavelet and scale is discussed, and a piecewise linear model of the base-2 logarithm of the frequency and the order of the wavelet is developed, in which different pieces represent different scales. As a result, the wavelet function and decomposition scale can be selected according to the oscillation frequency. 5Chaos Criteria Design Based on Modified Sign Functions with One or Three-Threshold显示文摘The complexity measures of chaotic or periodic signals are perpetual topics of interest to data scientists. This work adheres to the framework of the traditional 0-1 test for chaos and replaces sine and cosine functions by modified sign functions. The compressive mapping rules chosen are one-threshold of three-value or three-threshold of five-value. In new criteria for chaos in forms of the 3s plot and Ks metric compared with 0-1 test results, the periodic state of data features a short beeline instead of a big ring in the pq plot and signs the nearest zero mark, while the chaotic state signs a simple curve instead of a random-walking shape in the pq plot, and shows the nearest one mark. 6ULF electromagnetic precursors before the 1999 Jiji, Taiwan, earthquake and the comparison with results of simulating experiments显示文摘There are many reports about the abnormal electromagnetic signals observed before great earthquakes. In particular, the signals of electromagnetic anomalies before the Hyogo-Ken Nanbu, Japan, MS=7.2 earthquake on January 17, 1995 (Hayakawa, et al, 1996) and those before the Loma Prieta, USA, MS=7.1 earthquake on October 19, 1989 (Fraser-Smith, et al, 1990) are especially remarkable. However, what the above authors reported are only the phenomena of one or two observatories. In order to confirm this phenomenon, the authors studied the results obtained by nine observatories in the southeast coastal areas of Chinese mainland within a range of 256~858 km to the epicenter of the 1999 Jiji, Taiwan, earthquake using instruments of the same type (the ULF/VLF electromag-netic wave observation system). 7Robust and Efficient Data Transmission over Noisy Communication Channels Using Stacked and Denoising Autoencoders显示文摘We study the effects of quantization and additive white Gaussian noise(AWGN) in transmitting latent representations of images over a noisy communication channel. The latent representations are obtained using autoencoders(AEs). We analyze image reconstruction and classification performance for different channel noise powers, latent vector sizes, and number of quantization bits used for the latent variables as well as AEs’ parameters. The results show that the digital transmission of latent representations using conventional AEs alone is extremely vulnerable to channel noise and quantization effects. We then propose a combination of basic AE and a denoising autoencoder(DAE) to denoise the corrupted latent vectors at the receiver. However, the conventional MSVQ is suboptimal with respect to the overall performance measure. 14IR SPECTRA RETRIEVAL FOR INORGANIC COMPOUNDS AND MINERALS——FEATURE SELECTION AND DATA COMPRESSION显示文摘Spectral feature channels are selected based on the optimization theory and by makinguse of Shannon’s formula with main effective wavenumber regions ranging from 1600 cm-1to 400 cm-1. Ten characteristic codes are sufficient for retrieving a spectrum using the spec-tral data re-compressed in the selected channels. Results of retrieving 50 substances includ-ed in the databank show that the accuracy and the precision of the system are 1.00 and 0.85respectively. Results of retrieving substances not included in the databank show a credibleinterpretative capacity of the system. 18METHODS OF RADAR DATA COMPRESSION AND TARGET IDENTIFICATION BASED ON BIORTHOGONAL FDWT显示文摘In this paper, by using the biorthogonal quadrature filters, the biorthogonal mul-tiresolution analysis of finite dimension space equipped with inner product and the fast discrete wavelet transform (FDWT) are constructed. The dual transform method is proposed and the radar data storage is reduced by it. 20AN EFFICIENT ECG DATA COMPRESSION METHOD显示文摘-An efficient ECG (Electrocardiogram) data compression algorithm called KPDEC (key point detection and error compensation) is presented in this pa-Per. With tkis KPDEC method only the key points (KPs) of ECG signals are con-sidered to be saved to make the compression more efficient. These KPs can be ex-tracted from ECG samples by calculating the second-ordered central difrerences.Then an error pre-correcting technique is used to let the saved sample having a rea-sonable compensation berore it is stored. This technique is able to reduce the PRD (Percentage Root Mean Square Difference) obviously. In the paper we describe an optimal cording sckeme for getting higer compression rate. Furthermore, an adap-tive filtering tecknique is designed for reconstructed ECG signals to get better fi-delity waves.
