3MdATG18a overexpression improves basal thermotolerance in transgenic apple by decreasing damage to chloroplasts显示文摘High temperature is an abiotic stress factor that threatens plant growth and development.Autophagy in response to heat stress involves the selective removal of heat-induced protein complexes.Previously,we showed that a crucial autophagy protein from apple,MdATG18a,has a positive effect on drought tolerance.In the present study,we treated transgenic apple(Malus domestica)plants overexpressing MdATG18a with high temperature and found that autophagy protected them from heat stress.Overexpression of MdATG18a in apple enhanced antioxidase activity and contributed to the production of increased beneficial antioxidants under heat stress.Transgenic apple plants exhibited higher photosynthetic capacity,as shown by the rate of CO_(2) assimilation,the maximum photochemical efficiency of photosystem II(PSII),the effective quantum yield,and the electron transport rates in photosystems I and II(PSI and PSII,respectively).We also detected elevated autophagic activity and reduced damage to chloroplasts in transgenic plants compared to WT plants.In addition,the transcriptional activities of several HSP genes were increased in transgenic apple plants.In summary,we propose that autophagy plays a critical role in basal thermotolerance in apple,primarily through a combination of enhanced antioxidant activity and reduced chloroplast damage.Liuqing Huo Xun Sun Zijian Guo Xin Jia Runmin Che Yiming Sun Yanfei Zhu Ping Wang Xiaoqing Gong Fengwang Ma 2020Horticulture Research2020,7,1:9
4Landscape planning and ecology construction of wetland comprehensive protected area system in the Sanjiang Plain显示文摘Wetland is one of the richest biodiversity areas in the earth. In order to protect regional ecosystem and landscape, it is a good way to establish wetland comprehensive protected area which connected wetland nature reserves by habitat corridors. 6COVID-19 Outbreaks Linked to Imported Frozen Food in China:Status and Challege显示文摘Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)RNA contamination was reported on China’s imported frozen foods and packaging materials.However,there was no evidence of this disease initiated by environment-to-human transmission until the outbreak of coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)in Beijing in June 2020.This article aimed to analyze and summarize COVID-19 outbreaks related to cold-chain foods to provide a scientific basis for tracing the epidemiological trajectory of the pandemic,providing risk assessments,and mitigation policies.Overall,37 COVID-19 outbreaks and 5,741 infected cases were reported within the study period.It was found that 7 outbreaks and 689 cases were linked to imported frozen foods.The first index case among the 7 outbreaks was exposed to SARS-CoV-2-contaminated outer packaging of frozen food,triggering the subsequent community transmission.This study supported the speculation that cold-chain foods act as a pathway for SARS-CoV-2 and might present a risk for virus transmission between countries and regions.Handlers and processors exposed to the imported frozen foods should be effectively self-protected,daily monitored for clinical manifestations of COVID-19,and tested for SARS-CoV-2 nucleic acid at regular intervals.Jiahui Wang Fengqin Li Zhaoping Liu Ning Li 2022China CDC weekly2022,4,22:2

8In-situ Protection Management and Conservation Study of Some Medicinal Plants显示文摘In-situ study on eleven commercially important species viz; Adiantum capillus-veneris L, Bergenia ciliata (Haw) Sternb, Colchicum luteum Baker, Polygonum amplexicaule D.Den, Cuminum cyminum L, Dioscorea deltoidea Wall Kunth,L Morchella esculenta L, Paeonia emodi Wall ex H Kf, Podophyllum hexandrum (Royle) Chatt & Mukh, Valeriana wallichii DC and Viola serpens Wall ex Roxb was conducted in four locations viz; Malam (1 400 to 2 000?m),Bargin (1 700 to 2 300?m),Biakand (1 500 to 2 100?m) and Shinko (2 100 to 2 700?m).The data was recorded from both protected and unprotected sites of each site.Each site had 3 altitudinal sampling point.The density, herbage coverage and fresh biomass were determined in each locations for every species.All the investigated parameters generally showed an increase of 3 to 6 times over unprotected sites in each locations. Morchella esculenta,Dioscorea deltoidea,Colchicum luteum and Podophyllum hexandrum were absent in all unprotected sites while other species had low values in these sites.The investigated parameters of Colchicum luteum,Bergenia ciliata,Paeonioa emodi,Dioscorea deltoidea and Podophyllum hexandrum generally increased with the increasing elevation.Soil analysis,soil and air temperatures were recorded for each site.The air and soil temperature were slightly higher in open areas than in the protected site and showed decrease with increasing elevation.While the soil fertility was relatively high in protected sites as compared to unprotected area.The study shows that protection promotes the growth, distribution and occurrence of medicinal plants.It is possible with the participation of local communities to conserve these resources.Hassan SHER Z.D.KHAN A.U.KHAN Farrukh HUSSAIN 2005云南植物研究2005,27,1:2
9Nature Conservation versus Scenic Quality:A GIS Approach towards Optimized Tourist Tracks in a Protected Area of Northwest Yunnan,China显示文摘Development of appropriate tourism infrastructure is important for protected areas that allow public access for tourism use.This is meant to avoid or minimize unfavourable impacts on natural resources through guiding tourists for proper use.In this paper,a GIS-based method,the least-cost path(LCP) modelling,is explored for planning tourist tracks in a World Heritage site in Northwest Yunnan(China),where tourism is increasing rapidly while appropriate infrastructure is almost absent.The modelling process contains three steps:1) selection of evaluation criteria(physical,biological and landscape scenic) that are relevant to track decision; 2) translation of evluation criteria into spatially explicit cost surfaces with GIS,and 3) use of Dijkstra's algorithm to determine the least-cost tracks.Four tracks that link main entrances and scenic spots of the study area are proposed after optimizing all evaluation criteria.These tracks feature lowenvironmental impacts and high landscape qualities,which represent a reasonable solution to balance tourist use and nature conservation in the study area.In addtion,the study proves that the LCP modelling can not only offer a structured framwork for track planning but also allow for different stakeholders to participate in the planning process.It therefore enhances the effectivenss of tourism planning and managemnt in protected areas.YANG Ming-yu VAN COILLIE Frieke HENS Luc DE WULF Robert OU Xiao-kun ZHANG Zhi-ming 2014Journal of Mountain Science2014,11,1:2

11中国国家自然保护地的空间分布特征(英文)显示文摘This paper investigated spatial structures of 3418 national protected areas(NPAs)grouped into 13 types using GIS and quantitative analysis,including point patterns,Ripley’s K function,hotspot clustering,quadrat analysis,and Gini coefficient.Spatial accessibility was calculated for all NPAs from matrix raster data using cost weighted distance on the Arc GIS platform.The results are as follows:(1)The NNI of NPAs is 0.515,Gini is 0.073,all of which indicates distribution was shown to be a spatially dependent agglomeration,and more balanced in the provinces.The national key parks and the national water conservancy scenic spots had present the strongest aggregation,with NNI of 0.563 and 0.561 respectively,and K index indicates reducing aggregation when distance exceeds 600 km.(2)The national forest parks account for the largest proportion of 22.87% of all NPAs,and the world biosphere reserves the least of 0.77%.The number of NPAs in Shandong with 240 had been the largest one in all the provinces,while Tianjin had the least number including 9 NPAs.(3)There is only one hot spot in the first-class zone,5 in the second-class zones,and 51 in the third-class zones,which indicates NPAs are also aggregated at microscopic scales.(4)The hotspot NPA regions were mainly concentrated in the middle and lower reaches of the Yellow and Yangtze rivers,east of 100°E.High density of NPAs were generally in flat,water-rich,broad-leaved forest dominated plains and low mountain areas,with fertile soil,pleasant weather,long cultural history,and high transportation accessibility.(5)Average NPA accessible time is 60.05 min,with 70.76%regions being within 60 min,and the furthest was 777 min.The distribution of accessibility was positively related to the traffic lines.Interdepartmental protectionism has meant the various departments developed different management systems,standards,and technical specifications.徐柏翠 潘竟虎 2019Journal of Geographical Sciences2019,29,12:2
12Direct quantification of topological protection in symmetry-protected photonic edge states at telecom wavelengths显示文摘Topological on-chip photonics based on tailored photonic crystals(PhCs)that emulate quantum valley-Hall effeas has recently gained widespread interest owing to its promise of robust unidirectional transport of classical and quantum information.We present a direct quantitative evaluation of topological photonic edge eigenstates and their transport properties in the telecom wavelength range using phase-resolved near-field optical microscopy.Experimentally visualizing the detailed sub-wavelength structure of these modes propagating along the interface between two topologically non-trivial mirror-symmetric lattices allows us to map their dispersion relation and differentiate between the contributions of several higher-order Bloch harmonics.Selective probing of forward-and backward-propagating modes as defined by their phase velocities enables direct quantification of topological robustness.Studying near-field propagation in controlled defects allows us to extract upper limits of topological protection in on-chip photonic systems in comparison with conventional PhC waveguides.We find that protected edge states are two orders of magnitude more robust than modes of conventional PhC waveguides.This direct experimental quantification of topological robustness comprises a crucial step toward the application of topologically protected guiding in integrated photonics,allowing for unprecedented error-free photonic quantum networks。Sonakshi Arora Thomas Bauer Rene Barczyk Ewold Verhagen L.Kuipers 2021Light(Science & Applications)2021,10,1:2
13Conserving plants within and beyond protected areas-still problematic and future uncertain显示文摘Against a background of continuing loss of biodiversity, it is argued that for the successful conservation of threatened plant species we need to ensure the more effective integration of the various conservation actions employed, clarify the wording of the CBD targets and provide clearer operational guidance as to how they are to be implemented and their implementation monitored. The role and effectiveness of protected areas in conserving biodiversity and in particular plant species in situ are discussed as are recent proposals for a massive increase of their extent. The need for much greater effort and investment in the conservation or protection of threatened species outside protected areas where most plant diversity occurs is highlighted. The difficulties involved in implementing effective in situ conservation of plant diversity both at an area-and species/population-based level are discussed. The widespread neglect of species recovery for plants is noted and the desirability of making a clearer distinction between species recovery and reintroduction is emphasized. Key messages from a global overview of species recovery are outlined and recommendations made, including the desirability of each country preparing a national species recovery strategy. 14Status and Suggestions of the Pesticide Use in the Protected Vegetable Fields in Shandong Province显示文摘This paper briefly introduced the issues of food safety and environmental pollution caused by pesticide residues in protected vegetables, discussed the status and problems of pesticide use in the protected vegetables in Shandong Province, and analyzed the main factors leading to the pesticide residues, including the low education of most farmers, lack of correct identification of diseases and insect pests, use of pesticides based on personal experience, pesticide preparation by bare hands, large dose of pesticide, frequent application, pesticide spraying without protection, uneven spraying, leakage of pesticide from the sprayers, etc.. 17Characteristics of lightning‐induced voltages based on experimental data显示文摘This paper presents an analysis of 64 lightning‐induced voltage waveforms recorded in an experimental system implemented in the campus of the University of São Paulo,Brazil.The voltages were measured on a 10 m high,2.7 km long un‐energized overhead line consisting of two conductors installed on 6 m crossarms.One of the conductors had surge arresters,while the other one was left unprotected.Strictly speaking,all the recorded voltages on the unprotected conductor were bipolar,but in many cases only one semi‐cycle could be considered important for practical purposes.Different criteria are discussed for the determination of the waveshape parameters,which may differ signifi-cantly from those of the standard lightning impulse voltage(1.2/50μs).Based on the proposed criterion for classifying the induced voltages,unipolar waveforms accounted for 67%of the total and,except for one case,all of them had positive polarity.The median values of the front time and time‐to‐half‐value were,respectively,5.2μs and 15.8μs.Bipolar waveforms were 33%of the total and in approximately 62%of the cases the first semi‐cycle was of positive polarity.In 91%of the cases the voltage peak occurred either in the first or the second semi‐cycle.Michele N.N.Santos Alexandre Piantini 2021High Voltage2021,6,3:1

19Community livelihood and its dependence on nature resources under pressure of conservation显示文摘Conflict between conservation and community livelihood is a significant issue in China.Based on Sustainable Livelihood Framework(SLA),this study systematically analyzed livelihoods assets of a community in a Yunnan snub-nosed monkey conservation area and found that the livelihood pentagon of the community was shaped by multiple but frail and unstable income sources,abundant natural resources with restricted use right,underutilized labors,inadequate financial resources,inconvenient physical capital and weak social capital.Villagers'income heavily depended on forest,and grazing and nontimber forest products(NTFP)collection are common and major income sources for villagers.However,differentiation of income dependence on forest among villagers'groups showed that there is no close correlation between the level of income and the level of income dependence on forest.Households'daily life also heavily depended on the forest due to heating and pig-feed cooking;hence,fuelwood cannot be easily replaced by any other energy resource for a long period.Kui Cai Ziling Gong 2014Chinese Journal of Population,Resources and Environment2014,12,1:1
