2Surface Activities of Calix [4]resorcinarenes Bearing Four Hydrophobic Chains and Its Solubilization for Organic Compounds显示文摘Calix resorcinarenes bearing four hydrophobic side chains ( Ar-Rn, Ar-Ph, and Ar-N) orient stably on water oil interface and show high solubilization capacities for organic compounds, such as long chain alcohols, benzene, toluene and dyes. The capacities are high even near the cmc of polyalkylated calix resorcinarenes, but the solubilities of organic compounds(solubilizates) decrease with the increase of the size of the solubilizates. Ar-R 6, with a chain length of six carbons, is the most effective among Ar-R n , Ar-Ph, and Ar-N; 11 fold mol of hexanol is dissolved in 2×10 -3 mol/L Ar-R 6. Moreover, Ar-R n bearing four alkyl side chains solubilizes the chain alcohols of the same chain length mostly. 3Chemotherapy of cerebral gliomas directed by the chemosensitivity test in vitro: a clinical study显示文摘Objective: To evaluate correlation between chemosensitivity of tumor cells in vitro and their clinical responsive- ness in vivo by comparing the difference of curative effect between chemotherapy of cerebral gliomas directed by chemo- sensitivity test in vitro and its routine chemotherapy. Methods: Sixty-two patients with cerebral gliomas were recruited as the experiment group, who had received total resection or subtotal resection of the tumor. The resected tumor cells were cultured in vitro, followed by chemosensitivity test using colorimetric MTT assay. Finally, chemotherapeutic protocol was made based on the results of the chemosensitivity test. Fifty patients with cerebral gliomas subjected to the routine chemotherapeutic protocol were simultaneously recruited as the control group, whose age, gender, survival functional status and operational fashion were matched with the experiment group. The two groups were equally followed up for the survival functional status, recurrence and death. All data were analyzed using SPSS 10.0 software. Results: At the time of evaluation, KPS values of 64.52 ± 35.84 were seen in the experiment group, and 33.60 ± 36.24 in the control group, showing statistical difference between the two groups (t = 4.5163, P = 0.000). During 2–4 years of follow up, a recurrence rate of 32.26% was seen in the experimental group, and 60.00% in the control group, showing a statistical difference between the two groups (χ2 = 8.620, P = 0.003). The fatality was 22.58% in the experiment group, and 48.00% in the control group, showing a statistical difference between the two groups (χ2 = 7.978, P = 0.005). The survival rate of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group, showing a statistical differences between the two groups (χ2 = 7.29, P = 0.0069). Conclusion: Chemotherapy of glio- mas under the guidance of chemosensitivity test in vitro contributes to obvious improvement on the current survival functional status, a clear decline of the recurrence rates and fatality rate, and raised survival rates of the patients. 13Synthesis of Highly ordered Large Size Mesoporous Silica and Effect of Stabilization as Enzyme Supports in Organic Solvent显示文摘FSM 16, MCM 41 and SBA 15 types of hexagonal mesoporous silica with a highly ordered 2 dimensional structure were synthesized by using different silicon sources and surfactants. In the 2 dimensional silicate framework, pore size can be uniformly controlled by the combined use of the surfactants having different alkyl chain lengths and the swelling agents(triisopropyl benzene). The pore diameter of FSM 16 and MCM 41 can be expanded to be 10 nm, SBA 15 to be 15 nm. The crystal regularity was decreased with the increase of the pore diameter. In FSM 16 derived from kanemite(silicon source) and MCM 41 from water glass, their anionic characteristics on the pore wall may be stronger than those of SBA 15 derived from oligomeric tetramethoxysilane(TMOS). We have successfully used FSM 16 and MCM 41 to immobilize the enzyme having cationic residues below isoelectric point. The level of adsorption of enzymes in FSM 16 and MCM 41 was relatively high, but was low in SBA 15 support. The mechanism of enzyme to be adsorbed in mesoporous silica was suggested to be the ionic interactions. In aqueous solutions, horseradish peroxidase(HTP) was immobilized in FSM 16 with 8.9 nm mesopores and the highest loading amount(183 mg/mg FSM) was obtained, but for the FSM 16 of pore diameter 30 nm only an amount of 28 mg/mg FSM was obtained. In this context, the focus on the reaction of the synthesis of spiropy-rimidine, catalyzed by natural phosphate (NP) and by fluoroapatite (Fap), are used alone or doped by cobalt. These phosphate catalysts were characterized by XRD, IR and SEM, while the synthesized spiropyrimidine was identified by IR, GC-MS and NMR.
