| 1 | Electrochemical CO_(2) reduction to C_(2+) products using Cu-based electrocatalysts:A review显示文摘With the disruptive carbon cycle being blamed for global warming,the plausible electrocatalytic CO_(2)reduction reaction(CO_(2)RR)to form valuable C_(2+)hydrocarbons and feedstock is becoming a hot topic.Cu-based electrocatalysts have been proven to be excellent CO_(2)RR alternatives for high energy value-added products in this regard.However,the selectivity of CO_(2)RR to form C_(2+)products via Cu-based catalysts suffers from a high overpotential,slow reaction kinetics,and low selectivity.This review attempts to discuss various cutting-edge strategies for understanding catalytic design such as Cu-based catalyst surface engineering,tuning Cu bandgap via alloying,nanocatalysis,and the effect of the electrolyte and pH on catalyst morphology.The most recent advances in in situ spectroscopy and computational techniques are summarized to fully comprehend reaction mechanisms,structural transformation/degradation mechanisms,and crystal facet loss with subsequent effects on catalyst activity.Furthermore,approaches for tuning Cu interactions are discussed from four key perspectives:single-atom catalysts,interfacial engineering,metal-organic frameworks,and polymer-incorporated materials,which provide new insights into the selectivity of C_(2+)products.Finally,major challenges are outlined,and potential prospects for the rational design of catalysts for robust CO_(2)RR are proposed.The integration of catalytic design with mechanistic understanding is a step forward in the promising advancement of CO_(2)RR technology for industrial applications. | Touqeer Ahmad Shuang Liu Muhammad Sajid Ke Li Mohsin Ali Liang Liu Wei Chen | 2022 | Nano Research Energy2022,1,2: | 5 |
| 2 | Wind-induced hydrodynamic changes impact on sediment resuspension for large, shallow Lake Taihu, China显示文摘The internal sediment release is a key factor controlling eutrophication processes in large,shallow lakes.Sediment resuspension is associated with the wave and current induced shear stress in large,shallow lakes.The current study investigated the wind field impacts on sediment resuspension from the bottom at Meiliang Bay of large,shallow Lake Taihu.The impacts of the wind field on the wave,current,and wave-current combined shear stresses were calculated.The critical wind speed range was 4–6 m/s after which wave and current shear stress started to increase abruptly,and onshore wind directions were found to be mainly responsible for greater shear stress at the bottom of Lake Taihu.A second order polynomial fitting correlation was found between wave(R^2 0.4756)and current(R^2 0.4466)shear stresses with wind speed.Wave shear stress accounted for 92.5% of the total shear stress at Meiliang Bay.The critical wave shear stress and critical total shear stress were 0.13 N/m^2 for sediment resuspension whereas the current shear stress was 0.019 N/m^2 after which suspended sediment concentrations(SSC)increased abruptly.A second order polynomial fitting correlation was found between wave(R^2 0.739),current(R^2 0.6264),and total shear stress(R^2 0.7394)with SSC concentrations at Meiliang Bay of Lake Taihu.The sediment resuspension rate was 120 to 738 g/m^2/d during 4–6 m/s onshore winds while offshore winds contributed ≥ 200 g/m^2/d.The study results reveal the driving mechanism for understanding the role of the wind field in sediment resuspension while considering wind speed and direction as control parameters to define wave and current shear stresses. | Abdul Jalil Yiping Li Ke Zhang Xiaomeng Gao Wencai Wang Hafiz Osama Sarwar Khan Baozhu Pan Salar Ali Kumud Acharya | 2019 | International Journal of Sediment Research2019,34,3: | 4 |

| 4 | Preliminary study of microstructure, mechanical properties and corrosion resistance of antibacterial Ti-15Zr-xCu alloy for dental application显示文摘Ti-15 Zr-xCu(3≤x≤7,wt.%) novel antibacterial and antibiofilm alloys with competitive mechanical properties,biological responses and corrosion resistance were designed and fabricated.Annealing heat treatment on Ti-15 Zr-7 Cu(TZC-7 A),after holding for 2 h at slightly above their beta transus temperature(BTT) ensured their tensile strength(UTS),yield strength(YS) and hardness(HRV) were improved by31.2%,20% and 12.3% respectively compared to the control without Cu,Ti-15 Zr(T-15 ZA).Although the3 wt.% Cu alloy displayed the highest elongation(26%),the TZC-7 A alloy also possessed a good ductility.Presence of evenly dispersed Ti2 Cu and Zr2 Cu Cu-rich intermetallic phases formed as interwoven and alternating lamellae within the α+β matrix as a result of Cu addition,as revealed by X-ray diffraction(XRD),scanning electron microscopy(SEM) and transmission electron microscopy(TEM).These greatly contributed to their strengthening and bactericidal properties.Over 98% antibacterial effect against E.coli and S.aureus have been imparted,coupled with excellent biofilm inhibition.Potentiodynamic polarization curves showed that the TZC-7 A alloy possessed higher corrosion resistance than commercially pure titanium,cp-Ti;contact angle test revealed enhanced hydrophilicity;while confocal laser scanning microscopy(CLSM) and cell counting kit(CCK-8) assays also displayed drastically lowered bacterial adhesion rate with comparatively no cytotoxicity.Cell attachment on all alloys was similar but the best spread was obtained on TZC-7 A after 24 h.The developed alloy has good potential as an antibacterial implant material with combination of optimized properties. | Sharafadeen Kunle Kolawole Wang Hai Shuyuan Zhang Ziqing Sun Muhammad Ali Siddiqui Ihsan Ullah Wei Song Frank Witte Ke Yang | 2020 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2020,47,15: | 2 |
| 5 | Structural Comparison and Drug Screening of Spike Proteins of Ten SARS-CoV-2 Variants显示文摘SARS-CoV-2(severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2)has evolved many variants with stronger infectivity and immune evasion than the original strain,including Alpha,Beta,Gamma,Delta,Epsilon,Kappa,lota,Lambda,and 21H strains.Amino acid mutations are enriched in the spike protein of SARS CoV-2.which plays a crucial role in cell infetion.However,the impact of these mutations on protein structure and function is unclear.Understanding the pathophysiology and pandemic feaures of these SARS-CoV-2 variants requires knowledge of the spike protein structures.Here,we obtained the spike protein structures of 10 main globally endemic SARS CoV-2 strains using AlphaFold2.The clustering analysis based on structural similarity revealed the unique features of the mainly pandemic SARS CoV-2 Delta variants.indicating that structural clusters can reflect the current characteristics of the epidemic more accurately than those based on the protein sequence.The analysis of the binding afinities of ACE2-RBD,antibody-NTD,and antibody-RBD complexes in the different variants revealed that the recognition of antibodies against SI NTD and RBD was decreased in the variants,especally the Delta variant compared with the original strain,which may induce the immune evasion of SARS-CoV-2 variants.Furthermore,by virtual screening the ZINC database against a high-accuracy predicted structure of Delta spike protein and experimental validation,we identified multiple compounds that target S1 NTD and RBD,which might contribute towards the development of clinical anti-SARS-CoV-2 medicines.Our findings provided a basic foundation for future in vitro and in vivo investigations that might speed up the development of potential therapies for the SARS-CoV-2 va riants. | Qiangzhen Yang Xuemin Jian Ali Alamdar Shah Syed Aamir Fahira Chenxiang Zheng zijia Zhu Ke Wang Jinmai Zhang Yangin Wen Zhiqiang Li Dun Pan Tingting Lu Zhuo Wang Yongyong Shi | 2022 | Research2022,,2: | 2 |

| 19 | Preliminary study of adsorption behavior of bovine serum albumin(BSA) protein and its effect on antibacterial and corrosion property of Ti-3Cu alloy显示文摘The adsorption behavior, antibacterial, and corrosion properties of a Ti-3 Cu alloy were studied in a phosphate-buffered saline solution containing 0, 1, 3, and 6 gL^(-1) bovine serum albumin protein at 37℃ and pH = 7.4(±0.2). The protein adsorption behavior was examined via cyclic voltammetry, secondary ions mass spectroscopy(SIMS), and angle-resolved X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(ARXPS). The corrosion property was analyzed by the open circuit potential(OCP), potentiodynamic polarization(PD),and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS) examinations. The antibacterial test was conducted according to the GB/T 21510 China Standard. It was observed that the surface charge density(QA DS) was directly proportional to the amount of the adsorbed BSA protein, signifying that the protein adsorption was accompanied by the charge transfer, pointing to chemisorptions phenomena. BSA amino groups and other organic species were observed in the surface analysis examinations. It was shown that the formation of barrier complexes between the TiO_(2) oxide-layer and PBS solution resulted in decreasing the release of Cu-ions, which consequently reduced the antibacterial activity.
