| 7 | Mineralogical and geochemical variation in hydrothermal sulfides from Vienna Woods field,Manus Basin,Papua New Guinea:constraints on their evolution显示文摘Polymetallic sulfides from two hydrothermal chimneys and talus deposit from the Vienna Woods field of Manus Basin were studied for mineralogy, elemental composition, and S-isotope ratio to understand their evolution. The factors including the nature of source fluid, mineral paragenesis, and related geochemical processes have been discussed.Mineralogy and elemental concentration of Cu and Fe-rich large chimney at the central part of this hydrothermal field was completely different from the smaller Zn-rich peripheral chimney and Fe-rich talus deposit, suggesting the variable degree of alterations generate physico-chemically different source fluids responsible for these hydrothermal structures.Similarly,S-isotope ratios also indicate chemically diverse fluids and different modes of precipitation were involved in their evolution.Distinct mineral zonings and associated elemental and isotopic compositions within individual deposit confirm paragenetic shifts were involved during their growth process. | RAY Durbar BANERJEE Ranadip MAZUMDER Aninda PAROPKARI Anil L. | 13 | A feasibility study of seabed cover classification standard in generating related geospatial data显示文摘This article assesses the feasibility of generating the geospatial data from a national classification standard. In this case, the National Standardization Agency(Badan Standardisasi Nasional)of Indonesia created and published a national seabed cover classification standard called SNI 7987–2014 but has not developed corresponding geospatial data.Geospatial data on seabed cover can be generated by integrating related thematic data, such as those on seafloor surficial sediments, coastal ecosystems, and coastal infrastructure. With consideration for these issues, this research evaluated the feasibility of using SNI 7987–2014 as a means of generating seabed cover geospatial data at scales of 1:250,000 and 1:50,000.To this end,the documentation accompanying the standard was evaluated via descriptive quantitative analysis through weighted scoring, and logical testing, after which overlay, feature selection based on the scored method and remote sensing analysis were carried out to develop the geospatial data prototypes. Results showed that the feasibility levels of using the prototypes for generating data at scales of 1:250,000 and 1:50,000 were 87.5%and 86.5%,respectively,indicating that SNI 7987–2014 can be fully used as the basis for generating geospatial data on seabed cover. | Dewayany Sutrisno Rizka Windiastuti Nadya Octaviani Aninda W.Rudiastuti | 2019 | Geo-Spatial Information Science2019,22,4: | 0 |
| 14 | f(R,L(X))-gravity in the context of dark energy with power law expansion and energy conditions显示文摘The objective of this work is to generate a general formalism of f(R,L(X))-gravity in the context of dark energy under the framework of K-essence emergent geometry with the Dirac-Born-Infeld(DBI) variety of action, where R is the familiar Ricci scalar,L(X) is the DBI type non-canonical Lagrangian with X=1/2g^(μν)▽_(μ)φ▽_(ν)φ,and φ is the K-essence scalar field. The emergent gravity metric(G_(μν)) and the well known gravitational metric(g^(μν))are not conformally equivalent. We have constructed a modified field equation using the metric formalism in f(R,L(X))-gravity incorporating the corresponding Friedmann equations into the framework of the background gravitational metric, which is of Friedmann-Lemaitre-Robertson-Walker(FLRW) type. The solution of the modified Friedmann equations have been deduced for the specific choice of f(R,L(X)),which is of Starobinsky-type,using the power law expansion method. The consistency of the model with the accelerating phase of the universe has been shown when we restrict ourselves to consider the value of the dark energy density as φ^(2)=8/9=0.888 <1,which indicates that the present universe is dark-energy dominated.Graphical plots for the energy density(ρ),pressure(p),and equation of state parameter(ω) with respect to(w.r.t.) time(t) based on parametric values are interestingly consistent with the dark energy domination theory, and hence the accelerating features. We also highlight the corresponding energy conditions and constraints of the f(R,L(X)) theory with a basic example. | Goutam Manna Arijit Panda Aninda Karmakar Saibal Ray Md.Rabiul Islam | 2023 | Chinese Physics C2023,47,2: | 0 |
