1Landslide susceptibility mapping using the infinite slope,SHALSTAB,SINMAP,and TRIGRS models in Serra do Mar,Brazil显示文摘Slope failure triggered by heavy rainfall is very common in tropical and subtropical regions and a cause of major social and economic damage.Landslide susceptibility maps can be generated using geographical information systems(GIS)and limit equilibrium slope stability models coupled or not to hydrological equations.This study investigated the efficacy of four models used for slope stability analysis in predicting landslide-susceptible areas in a GIS environment.The selected models are the infinite slope,the shallow slope stability model(SHALSTAB),the stability index mapping(SINMAP),and the transient rainfall infiltration and grid-based regional slope-stability(TRIGRS).For comparisons,the authors(a)included the infinite slope equation in all models,(b)clearly defined input parameters and failure triggering mechanisms for each simulation(soil depth,water table height,rainfall intensity),(c)determined appropriate values for each model to obtain stability levels that represented similar hydrogeotechnical conditions,and(d)considered upper-third areas of landslide scars to estimate the reliability of susceptibility maps using validation indices.An intense rainfall event occurred in Serra do Mar,Brazil in January 2014 triggered hundreds of landslides and was used for back analysis and evaluation of the slope stability analysis models.When rainfall intensity is not considered,the four models produced very similar results.The most reliable landslide susceptibility map was generated using TRIGRS and considering the granite residual granite soils geological-geotechnical unit,subjected to a rainfall intensity of 210 mm for 2 h under unsaturated conditions.Thiago Machado do PINHO Oswaldo AUGUSTO FILHO 2022Journal of Mountain Science2022,19,4:5
2Perspectives on new biomarkers in gastric cancer: Diagnostic and prognostic applications显示文摘Gastric cancer is considered one of the most deadly tumors worldwide. Even with the decline in its incidence, the mortality rate of this disease has remained high, mainly due to its late diagnosis and to the lack of precise prognostic markers. The main purpose of this review is to present genetic, epigenetic and proteomic molecular markers that may be used in a diagnostic and prognostic manner and to discuss the pros and cons of each type of marker for improving clinical practice. In this sense, we observed that the use of genetic markers, especially mutations and polymorphisms, should be carefully considered, as they are strongly affected by ethnicity. Proteomic-based markers show promise, but the higher costs of the associated techniques con-tinue to make this approach expensive for routine use. Alternatively, epigenetic markers appear to be very promising, as they can be detected in bodily fluids as well as tissues. However, such markers must be used carefully because epigenetic changes may occur due to environmental factors and aging. Despite the advances in technology and its access, to date, there are few defined biomarkers of prognostic and diagnostic use for gastric tumors. 8基于GIS方法与综合城市规划计算城市林地损失--以巴西Jo§io Pessoa为例显示文摘Urban forests play an important role in the thermal comfort and overall life of local populations in large-and medium-sized cities.This study analyzes urban forest loss and maps land use and land cover(LULC)changes between 1991 and 2018 by evaluating the use of urban planning instruments for the mitigation of urban forest loss in Jo?o Pessoa,Brazil.For this purpose,satellite-derived LULC images from 1991,2006,2010 and 2018 and data on urban forest loss areas obtained using the Google Earth Engine were used.In addition,this paper also discusses the instruments used for integrated urban planning,which are(a)the legal sector,responsibility and nature;(b)the urban expansion process;and(c)the elements of urban infrastructure.The results show a clear shift in land use in the study area.The major changes in LULC classes occurred in urban areas and herbaceous vegetation,while the greatest loss was in arboreal/shrub vegetation.Thus,an increase in the pressure to occupy zones intended for environmental preservation could be estimated.Our results showed similar accuracies with other studies and more spatial details.The characteristics of the patterns,traces,and hotspots of urban expansion and forest cover loss were explored.We highlighted the potential use of this proposed framework to be applied and validated in other parts of the world to help better understand and quantify various aspects of urban-related problems such as urban forest loss mapping using instruments for integrated urban planning and low-cost approaches.Leandro Ismael de Azevedo LACERDA JoséAugusto Ribeiro da SILVEIRA Celso Augusto Guimarães SANTOS Richarde Marques da SILVA Alexandro Medeiros SILVA Thiago Victor Medeiros do NASCIMENTO Edson Leite RIBEIRO Paulo Vitor Nascimento de FREITAS 2021Journal of Geographical Sciences2021,31,10:0

10Comparison of the systemic action of electroacupuncture and laserpuncture in experimental injuries on the back skin of Wistar rats(Rattus novergicus)显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the systemic action of electroacupuncture and laserpuncture in the repair of excisional cutaneous injuries on the back of adult female Wistar rats.METHODS:Ninety animals were divided into three experimental groups:C-control;E-treated with electroacupuncture[acupoints:Feishu(BL13),Geshu(BL17),Zusanli(ST36)];L-treated with laserpuncture(same acupoints)and euthanized on the 7 th,14 th and 21 st days for tissue removal and preparation for histomorphometric and biochemical(dosages,zymography and Western blotting)analysis.RESULTS:The number of fibroblasts in the E and L groups presented higher values than the C on the14 th and 21 st days.The number of granulocytes was lower than C on the 21 st day in groups E and L.The total number of newly formed vessels increased on the 21 st day and was higher in both treatments when compared to C.The birefringent collagen fibers detected on the 21 st day was lower in groups E and L than group C.The glycosaminoglycans and hydroxyproline amount was similar among groups throughout the experimental period.The active isoform of matrixmetallo proteinase(MMP)-2 and the latent isoform of MMP-9 did not show any differences among all groups and experimental periods.The amount of collagenⅠpresented higher values in the L group on the 14 th day and in the E and L groups on the 21 st day.For typeⅢcollagen,groups E and L presented values lower than C in all experimental periods.The amount of transforming growth factor-β1 in the E and L groups showed higher amounts than C on the 7 th day and lower on the 14 th and 21 st days.For vascular endothelial growth factor,E and L groups presented similar and lower values than C on the 7 th and 14 th days,respectively,and similar on the 21 st day.CONCLUSION:The therapies evaluated in this article stimulated fibroblast proliferation,neoangiogenesis and altered the reorganization of collagen fibers in the repair of excisional injuries in female adult rats.Ivens Takechi Nakagawa Hamilton Ricardo Alonso Fabrício Campos Kuroda JoséRoberto Passarini Junior Juan Guzman Quispe Cabanillas Fernanda Aparecida Sampaio Mendonça Gláucia Maria Tech dos Santos Andrea Aparecida de Aro Edson Rosa Pimentel Maria Esméria Corezola do Amaral Marcelo Augusto Marretto Esquisatto 2021Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2021,41,5:0
