Current-induced degradation and lifetime prediction of 310 nm ultraviolet light-emitting diodes显示文摘The impact of operation current on the degradation behavior of 310 nm UV LEDs is investigated over 1000 h of stress. It ranges from 50 to 300 mA and corresponds to current densities from 34 to 201 A/cm^2.To separate the impact of current from that of temperature, the junction temperature is kept constant by adjusting the heat sink temperature. Higher current was found to strongly accelerate the optical power reduction during operation. A mathematical model for lifetime prediction is introduced. It indicates that lifetime is inversely proportional to the cube of the current density, suggesting the involvement of Auger recombinati on. | Jan Ruschel Johannes Glaab Batoul Beidoun Neysha Lobo Ploch Jens Rass Tim Kolbe Arne Knauer Markus Weyers Sven Einfeldt Michael Kneissl | 2019 | Photonics Research2019,7,7: | 3
Acute ischaemic stroke interventions: large vessel occlusion and beyond显示文摘Care for acute ischaemic stroke is one of the most rapidly evolving fields due to the robust outcomes achieved by mechanical thrombectomy.Large vessel occlusion(LVO)accounts for up to 38%of acute ischaemic stroke and comes with devastating outcomes for patients, families and society in the pre-intervention era.A paradigm shift and a breakthrough brought mechanical thrombectomy back into the spotlight for acute ischaemic stroke;this was because five randomised controlled trials from several countries concluded that mechanical thrombectomy for acute stroke offered overwhelming benefits. This review article will present a comprehensive overview of LVO management, techniques and devices used, and the future of stroke therapy. In addition,we review our institution experience of mechanical thrombectomy for posterior and distal circulation occlusion. | Ahmad Sweid Batoul Hammoud Sunidhi Ramesh Daniella Wong Tyler D Alexander Joshua Harrison Weinberg Maureen Deprince Jaime Dougherty Dimitri Jean-Mickael Maamari Stavropoula Tjoumakaris Hekmat Zarzour Michael R Gooch Nabeel Herial Victor Romo David M Hasan Robert H Rosenwasser Pascal Jabbour | 2020 | Stroke & Vascular Neurology2020,5,1: | 2

Dental stem cell-conditioned medium for tissue regeneration: Optimization of production and storage显示文摘BACKGROUND Mesenchymal stem cells(MSC)effects on tissue regeneration are mainly mediated by their secreted substances(secretome),inducing their paracrine activity. This Conditioned medium(CM),including soluble factors(proteins, nucleic acids, lipids)and extracellular vesicles is emerging as a potential alternative to cell therapy. However, the manufacturing of CM suffers from variable procedures and protocols leading to varying results between studies.Besides, there is no welldefined optimized procedure targeting specific applications in regenerative medicine.AIM To focus on conditioned medium produced from dental MSC(DMSC-CM),we reviewed the current parameters and manufacturing protocols,in order to propose a standardization and optimization of these manufacturing procedures.METHODS We have selected all publications investigating the effects of dental MSC secretome in in vitro and in vivo models of tissue regeneration,in accordance with the PRISMA guidelines.RESULTS A total of 351 results were identified. And based on the inclusion criteria described above,118 unique articles were included in the systematic review.DMSC-CM production was considered at three stages:before CM recovery(cell sources for CM),during CM production(culture conditions)and after production(CM treatment).CONCLUSION No clear consensus could be recovered as evidence-based methods, but we were able to describe the most commonly used protocols:donors under 30 years of age, dental pulp stem cells and exfoliated deciduous tooth stem cells with cell passage between 1 and 5,at a confluence of 70%to 80%.CM were often collected during 48 h,and stored at-80°C.It is important to point out that the preconditioning environment had a significant impact on DMSCCM content and efficiency. | Batoul Chouaib Frédéric Cuisinier Pierre-Yves Collart-Dutilleul | 2022 | World Journal of Stem Cells2022,14,4: | 1
Effects of nitric oxide on the prefrontal cortex in stressed rats显示文摘BACKGROUND:Nitric oxide (NO) exhibits both protective and detrimental effects in the central nervous system.OBJECTIVE:To investigate the effect of NO on the prefrontal cortex in neonatal stressed rats.DESIGN, TIME AND SETTING:A randomized, controlled, animal study was performed at the Anatomical Department of Iran University of Medical Sciences from May 2007 to August 2008.MATERIALS:Forty-eight male, Wistar rats were obtained from Pasteur's Institute, Tehran, Iran.METHODS:Rat stress models were established by immobilization and randomly received intraperitoneal injection of 2 mL physiological saline, L-arginine (200 mg/kg) as a NO precursor, N(G)-nitro-L-arginine methyl ester (20 mg/kg), or subcutaneous injection of 7-nitroindazole (25 mg/kg) as a NO synthase inhibitor.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES:After the rats were treated for 4 weeks, the frontal cortex was harvested for histological observation and NO detection.RESULTS:Subcutaneous administration of N(G)-nitro-L-arginine methyl ester or 7-nitroindazole resulted in significantly lower prefrontal cortex thickness and NO production compared with subcutaneous administration of L-arginine (P<0.05).Prefrontal cortex thickness significantly increased in rats following L-arginine treatment, compared with physiological saline intervention (P<0.05).CONCLUSION:NO exhibited protective effects on the prefrontal cortex of stressed rats. | Batoul Ebadi Mehdi Mehdizadeh Arezoo Nahavandi Tabandeh Shariati Sara Soleimani Asl Hamdolah Delaviz | 2010 | Neural Regeneration Research2010,5,14: | 1
Platinum-Group Elements Geochemistry and Chromian Spinel Composition in Podiform Chromitites and Associated Peridotites from the Cheshmeh-Bid Deposit, Neyriz, Southern Iran: Implications for Geotectonic Setting显示文摘Dunite and serpentinized harzburgite in the Cheshmeh-Bid area, northwest of the Neyriz ophiolite in Iran, host podiform chromitite that occur as schlieren-type, tabular and aligned massive lenses of various sizes. The most important chromitite ore textures in the Cheshmeh-Bid deposit are massive, nodular and disseminated. Massive chromitite, dunite, and harzburgite host rocks were analyzed for trace and platinum-group elements geochemistry. Chromian spinel in chromitite is characterized by high Cr~#(0.72-0.78), high Mg~#(0.62–0.68) and low TiO_2(0.12 wt%-0.2 wt%) content. These data are similar to those of chromitites deposited from high degrees of mantle partial melting. The Cr~# of chromian spinel ranges from 0.73 to 0.8 in dunite, similar to the high-Cr chromitite, whereas it ranges from 0.56 to 0.65 in harzburgite. The calculated melt composition of the high-Cr chromitites of the Cheshmeh-Bid is 11.53 wt%–12.94 wt% Al_2O_3, 0.21 wt%–0.33 wt% TiO_2 with FeO/MgO ratios of 0.69-0.97, which are interpreted as more refractory melts akin to boninitic compositions. The total PGE content of the Cheshmeh-Bid chromitite, dunite and harzburgite are very low(average of 220.4, 34.5 and 47.3 ppb, respectively). The Pd/Ir ratio, which is an indicator of PGE fractionation, is very low(0.05–0.18) in the Cheshmeh-Bid chromitites and show that these rocks derived from a depleted mantle. The chromitites are characterized by high-Cr~#, low Pd + Pt(4–14 ppb) and high IPGE/PPGE ratios(8.2–22.25), resulting in a general negatively patterns, suggesting a high-degree of partial melting is responsible for the formation of the Cheshmeh-Bid chromitites. Therefore parent magma probably experiences a very low fractionation and was derived by an increasing partial melting. These geochemical characteristics show that the Cheshmeh-Bid chromitites have been probably derived from a boninitic melts in a supra-subduction setting that reacted with depleted peridotites. The high-Cr chromitite has relatively uniform mantle-normalized PGE patterns, with a steep slope, positive Ru and negative Pt, Pd anomalies, and enrichment of PGE relative to the chondrite. The dunite(total PGE = 47.25 ppb) and harzburgite(total PGE =3 4.5 ppb) are highly depleted in PGE and show slightly positive slopes PGE spidergrams, accompanied by a small positive Ru, Pt and Pd anomalies and their Pdn/Irn ratio ranges between 1.55–1.7 and 1.36-1.94, respectively. Trace element contents of the Cheshmeh-Bid chromitites, such as Ga, V, Zn, Co, Ni, and Mn, are low and vary between 13–26, 466–842, 22-84, 115–179, 826–-1210, and 697–1136 ppm, respectively. These contents are compatible with other boninitic chromitites worldwide. The chromian spinel and bulk PGE geochemistry for the Cheshmeh-Bid chromitites suggest that high-Cr chromitites were generated from Cr-rich and, Ti-and Al-poor boninitic melts, most probably in a fore-arc tectonic setting related with a supra-subduction zone, similarly to other ophiolites in the outer Zagros ophiolitic belt. | Batoul TAGHIPOUR Farhad AHMADNEJAD | 2018 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2018,92,1: | 1

Geochemistry of platinum-group elements in the podiform chromitites and associated peridotites of the Nain ophiolites,Central Iran:Implications for geotectonic setting显示文摘The Nain ophiolite complex with an extent of[600 km2 is a part of the Central Iranian ophiolite, which is related to the opening and subsequent closure of the Neo-Tethys Ocean.Dunite and serpentinized harzburgite in the Nain area host podiform chromitites that occur as three(eastern Hajhossein, western Hajhossein, and Soheil Pakuh)schlieren-type tabular and aligned massive lenses with various sizes. The most common chromitite ore textures are massive, nodular, disseminated, and banded, reflecting crystal settling processes. The Cr#[Cr/(Cr+Al)]ranges from 0.43 to 0.81(average 0.63).The Mg#[Mg/(Mg+Fe2+)]varies from 0.25 to 0.78(average0.62).The Nain ophiolite and hosted chromitite are generally characterized by high Cr#,reflecting crystallization from a very hot boninite magma in a MORB setting. The high Cr#in the Nain chromitite also indicates a high degree of melting(15%–35%)of the depleted peridotite. The average total PGE content in the ophiolitic host rock(harzburgite and dunite)and chromite are 107 and 221 ppb, respectively. The Nain ophiolite and chromitite have high IPGE/PPGE and negative Pt*(Pt/Pt*=0.6)anomaly,which is a characteristic of high Cr#chromitite. The U-shaped REE pattern of dunite host rock suggests the interaction of depleted mantle peridotite with boninitic melt.Geochemical data suggest that the Nain chromitites are related to the boninitic magma emplacement in a suprasubduction zone. | Batoul Taghipour Somayeh Shabani Alireza K Somarin | 2021 | Acta Geochimica2021,40,5: | 0
