| 1 | Th17 cells and their associated cytokines in liver diseases显示文摘T helper 17(Th17)cells are a newly identified subset of T helper cells that play important roles in host defense against extracellular bacteria as well as in the pathogenesis of autoimmune disease.The functions of Th17 cells are mediated via the production of several cytokines including interleukin(IL)-17 and IL-22.Recent studies show that the frequency of IL-171 cells is significantly elevated in a variety of chronic liver diseases including alcoholic liver disease,viral hepatitis and hepatocellular carcinoma.IL-17 receptor is expressed virtually on all types of liver cells,while IL-22 receptor expression is restricted to epithelial cells including hepatocytes in the liver.IL-17 seems to play an important role in inducing liver inflammation via stimulating multiple types of liver nonparenchymal cells to produce proinflammatory cytokines and chemokines,while IL-22 appears to be an important factor in promoting hepatocyte survival and proliferation. | Fouad Lafdil Andrew M Miller Sung Hwan Ki Bin Gao | 2010 | Cellular & Molecular Immunology2010，7，4： | 29 |
| 2 | Spatial-temporal Pattern and Population Driving Force of Land Use Change in Liupan Mountains Region, Southern Ningxia, China显示文摘The Liupan Mountains is located in the southern Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region of China, which forms an important dividing line between landforms and bio-geographic regions. The populated part of the Liupan Mountains region has suffered tremendous ecological damages over time due to population pressure, excessive demand and inappropriate use of agricultural land resources. In this paper, datasets of land use between 1990 and 2000 were obtained from Landsat TM imagery, and then spatial models were used to characterize landscape conditions. Also, the relationship between the population density and land use/cover change (LUCC) was analyzed. Results indicate that cropland, forestland, and urban areas have increased by 44,186ha, 9001ha and 1550ha, respectively while the grassland area has appreciably decreased by 54,025ha in the study period. The decrease in grassland was most notable. Of the grassland lost, 49.4% was converted into cropland. The largest annual land conversion rate in the study area was less than 2%. These changes are attributed to industrial and agricultural development and population growth. | 3 | Susceptibility variations of multiple origins of loess from the Ily Basin(NW China)显示文摘The magnetic susceptibility of loess from the Ily Basin,northwestern China shows maximum values in S0 paleosols but minimum values in other paleosols,the mechanism of which has been well debated.In this work,systematic magnetic measurements were made on a representative section from Neleke county.The results show that the loess horizons(L1,L2 and L3) have multi-domain magnetite grains of aeolian origin,S0 is characterized by production of pedogenetic ultrafine-grained ferrimagnetic minerals,and the other paleosols(S1,S2,and S3) are characterized by the formation of nonferrimagnetic minerals associated with waterlogging.The correlation between the low concentration of ferrimagnets,high paramagnetic content,high magnetic coercivity remanence,fine ferrimagnetic grain size and intensified pedogenesis suggest two competing processes of pedogenetic enhancement and pedogenetic depletion in the lower paleosols.Pedogenetic depletion dominates and is responsible for the low susceptibility.Changes in magnetic grain size distribution occur during pedogenetic depletion.The susceptibility variations are of multiple origins in the loess of the Ily Basin.Pedogenetic enhancement,pedogenetic depletion,and allochthonous input of magnetic minerals should all be taken into account to explain the variations of magnetic parameters. | CHEN Qu LIU XiuMing HELLER F HIRT Ann M LU Bin GUO XueLian MAO XueGang ZHAO GuoYong FENG Hua GUO Hui | 2012 | Chinese Science Bulletin2012，57，15： | 9 |
