3Stipa steppes in scantily explored regions of the tibetan Plateau:classification,community characteristics and climatic distribution patterns显示文摘Aims As a unique geographical unit of the earth,the tibetan Plateau is extensively covered by various Stipa communities.However,their vegetation features have not been reported systematically till now,especially in some scantily explored regions.In this study,we endeavor to reveal the community types,quantitative charac-teristics and climatic distribution patterns of Stipa steppes in these areas based on primary relevés obtained from fieldwork.Methods We collected a total of 223 plots in 79 study sites in the Changthang Plateau and the Yarlung Zangbo Valley,ranging from 79°E to 91°E.the categories of Stipa formations were identified according to the classification scheme in Vegetation of China and then verified by Nonmetric Multidimensional Scaling.We performed detrended correspondence analysis and detrended canonical correspondence analysis to hunt for the alteration of Stipa communities along the precipitation gradient.Quantitative characteristics including species richness,coverage,biomass as well as importance values(IV)of dominant species were calcu-lated and visualized,respectively.Important Findings Stipa steppes in scantily explored regions of the tibetan Plateau are classified into 11 formations but major formations are rather limited in number.Formation(form.)Stipa purpurea is the most widespread Stipa assemblages not only in scantily explored regions but also across the whole tibetan Plateau.the characteristics of Stipa com-munities,including coverage,species richness,productivity and IV of dominant species,demonstrate the features of typical alpine steppes on the tibetan Plateau.Precipitation proves to be the prime climatic factor controlling the distribution patterns of Stipa assemblages.Form.Stipa subsessiliflora var.basiplumosa and form.Stipa glareosa normally distribute in arid habitats,but rainfall for the former is of greater variance.Form.Stipa roborowskyi and form.Stipa capillacea favor moderately moist environment.Form.Stipa purpurea and form.Stipa roborowskyi can tolerate a fairly broad range of precipitation.Haiwei Zhao Ke Guo Yao Yang Changcheng Liu Liqing Zhao Xianguo Qiao Dongjie Hou Chenguang Gao 2018Journal of Plant Ecology2018,11,4:4

6Prognostic tumor microenvironment gene and the relationship with immune infiltration characteristics in metastatic breast cancer显示文摘The aim of this study was to reveal genes associated with breast cancer metastasis,to investigate their intrinsic relationship with immune cell infiltration in the tumor microenvironment,and to screen for prognostic biomarkers.Gene expression data of breast cancer patients and their metastases were downloaded from the GEO,TCGA database.R language package was used to screen for differentially expressed genes,enrichment analysis of genes,PPI network construction,and also to elucidate key genes for diagnostic and prognostic survival.Spearman’s r correlation was used to analyze the correlation between key genes and infiltrating immune cells.We screened 25 hub genes,FN1,CLEC5A,ATP8B4,TLR7,LY86,PTGER3 and other genes were differentially expressed in cancer and paraneoplastic tissues.However,patients with higher expression of CD1C,IL-18 breast cancer had a better prognosis in the 10 years survival period,while patients with high expression of FN1,EIF4EBP1 tumors had a worse prognosis.In addition,TP53 and HIF1 genes are closely related to the signaling pathway of breast cancer metastasis.In this study,gene expression of ATP8B4 and CD1C were correlated with cancer tissue infiltration of CD8^(+)T lymphocytes,while GSE43816,GSE62327 and TCGA databases showed that CD8^(+)T lymphocytes were closely associated with breast cancer progression.Functional enrichment analysis of genes based on expression differences yielded key genes of prognostic value in the breast cancer microenvironment.LU YANG YUN LIU BOKE ZHANG MENGSI YU FEN HUANG YANG WEN JIANGZHENG ZENG YANDA LU CHANGCHENG YANG 2022BIOCELL2022,46,5:1

11Genomic Surveillance for SARS-CoV-2—China,September 26,2022 to January 29,2023显示文摘Introduction:The severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)has generated 2,431 variants over the course of its global transmission over the past 3 years.To better evaluate the genomic variation of SARS-CoV-2 before and after the optimization of coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)prevention and control strategies,we analyzed the genetic evolution branch composition and genomic variation of SARS-CoV-2 in both domestic and imported cases in China(the data from Hong Kong and Macao Special Administrative Regions and Taiwan,China were not included)from September 26,2022 to January 29,2023.Methods:Analysis of the number of genome sequences,sampling time,dynamic changes of evolutionary branches,origin,and clinical typing of SARS-CoV-2 variants submitted by 31 provincial-level administrative divisions(PLADs)and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps(XPCC)was conducted to assess the accuracy and timeliness of SARS-CoV-2 variant surveillance.Results:From September 26,2022 to January 29,2023,20,013 valid genome sequences of domestic cases were reported in China,with 72 evolutionary branches.Additionally,1,978 valid genome sequences of imported cases were reported,with 169 evolutionary branches.The prevalence of the Omicron variants of SARS-CoV-2 in both domestic and imported cases was consistent with that of international epidemic variants.Conclusions:This study provides an overview of the prevalence of Omicron variants of SARS-CoV-2 in China.After optimizing COVID-19 prevention and control strategies,no novel Omicron variants of SARSCoV-2 with altered biological characteristics or public health significance have been identified since December 1,2022.Shiwen Wang Peihua Niu Qiudong Su Xiaozhou He Jing Tang Ji Wang Yenan Feng Cao Chen Xiang Zhao Zhixiao Chen Wenling Wang Zeyuan Yin Yuchao Wu Changcheng Wu Lili Li Aili Cui Yan Zhang Caiyun Long Xiaoyu Yang Zhongxian Zhang Hong Bo Wenbo Xu SARS-CoV-Genome Working Group 2023China CDC weekly2023,5,7:1

13Photosynthesis adaption in Korean pine to gap size and position within Populus davidiana forests in Xiaoxing’anling, China显示文摘Forest gaps restrict the restoration of temperate secondary forest to broad-leaved Korean pine forest in zonal climax vegetation by affecting the growth of Korean pine(Pinus koraiensis).However,the photo synthetic adaptability of Korean pine to gap size and position within the gap is unclear.In order to explore the adaptability of young Korean pine(35 years) to different gap sizes in Xiaoxing’anling,photo synthetic capacity and microenvironmental factors(leaf temperature,light transmittance) of Korean pine needles in three positions in the gap(central,transition,and edge areas) were investigated.Three gaps were identified in the secondary Populus davidiana forest:a large 201 m^(2) gap,a middle 112 m^(2) gap,and a small 50 m^(2) gap;12 m^(2) of the understory was sampled as a control.The results show that:(1) maximum net photosynthetic rate(P_(max)) in needles of Korean pine growing in the large gap was higher than in the small gap,and P_(max) in the centre in the same gap was higher than in the transition and edge areas;(2) light saturation point(LSP) and photosynthetic quantum yield(AQY)of needles in the large gap were higher than in the small gap,while the light compensation point(LCP) and chlorophyll contents of needles were lower in the small gap;and,(3)P_(max) had a significant positive correlation with temperature and light transmittance.It is suggested that the larger the gap in secondary Populus davidiana forests,the greater the change in light intensity and temperatures,the stronger the light adaption of Korean pine needles and the higher the photosynthetic capacity.Therefore,in the recovery of broadleaved/Korean pine forests,suitable gaps should be created and gap microhabitats fully utilized to accelerate the restoration process.Xuannan Li Yahui Wang Zhihui Yang Ting Liu Changcheng Mu 2022Journal of Forestry Research2022,33,5:1

16Detecting SARS-CoV-2 BA.2,BA.4,and BA.5 Variants Utilizing a Robust RT-RPA-CRISPR/Cas12a-Based Method-China,2023显示文摘Introduction:Since 2019,numerous variants of concern for severe acute respiratory syndrome virus 2(SARS-CoV-2)have emerged,leading to significant outbreaks.The development of novel,highly accurate,and rapid detection techniques for these new SARSCoV-2 variants remains a primary focus in the ongoing efforts to control and prevent the coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)pandemic.Methods:Reverse transcription-recombinase polymerase amplification combined with the clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeatsassociated protein 12a(CRISPR/Cas12a)system was used to validate the detection of the Omicron BA.2,BA.4,and BA.5 variants of SARS-CoV-2.Results:Our results demonstrate that the CRISPR/Cas12a assay is capable of effectively detecting the SARS-CoV-2 BA.2,BA.4,and BA.5 variants with a limit of detection of 10,1,and 10 copies/μL,respectively.Importantly,our assay successfully differentiated the three SARS-CoV-2 Omicron strains from one another.Additionally,we evaluated 46 SARS-CoV-2 positive clinical samples consisting of BA.2(n=20),BA.4(n=6),and BA.5(n=20)variants,and the sensitivity of our assay ranged from 90%to 100%,while the specificity was 100%.Discussion:This research presents a swift and reliable CRISPR-based method that may be employed to track the emergence of novel SARS-CoV-2 variants.Meihui Luo Yang Pan Yaqing He Ruhan A Changcheng Wu Baoying Huang Roujian Lu Li Zhao Bo Peng Fei Ye Huijuan Wang Yuda Chen Zhen Li Daitao Zhang Wenling Wang Wenjie Tan 2023China CDC weekly2023,5,26:0

19Rapid identification of full-length genome and tracing variations of monkeypox virus in clinical specimens based on mNGS and amplicon sequencing显示文摘The monkeypox virus(MPXV)has triggered a current outbreak globally.Genome sequencing of MPXV and rapid tracing of genetic variants will benefit disease diagnosis and control.It is a significant challenge but necessary to optimize the strategy and application of rapid full-length genome identification and to track variations of MPXV in clinical specimens with low viral loads,as it is one of the DNA viruses with the largest genome and the most AT-biased,and has a significant number of tandem repeats.Here we evaluated the performance of metagenomic and amplicon sequencing techniques,and three sequencing platforms in MPXV genome sequencing based on multiple clinical specimens of five mpox cases in Chinese mainland.We rapidly identified the full-length genome of MPXV with the assembly of accurate tandem repeats in multiple clinical specimens.Amplicon sequencing enables cost-effective and rapid sequencing of clinical specimens to obtain high-quality MPXV genomes.Third-generation sequencing facilitates the assembly of the terminal tandem repeat regions in the monkeypox virus genome and corrects a common misassembly in published sequences.Besides,several intra-host single nucleotide variations were identified in the first imported mpox case.This study offers an evaluation of various strategies aimed at identifying the complete genome of MPXV in clinical specimens.The findings of this study will significantly enhance the surveillance of MPXV.Changcheng Wu Ruhan A Sheng Ye Fei Ye Weibang Huo Roujian Lu Yue Tang Jianwei Yang Xuehong Meng Yun Tang Shuang Chen Li Zhao Baoying Huang Zhongxian Zhang Yuda Chen Dongfang Li Wenling Wang Ke-jia Shan Jian Lu Wenjie Tan 2024Virologica Sinica2024,39,1:0
20Modeling and simulation of twin-tube hydraulic shock absorber thermodynamic characteristics and sensitivity analysis of its influencing factors显示文摘In order to find out the sensitivity of the thermophysical and structural parameters to the thermodynamic characteristics of twin-tube hydraulic shock absorbers,based on the bench test,a method for calculating the time-varying rate of the external work on the shock absorber oil is proposed.And then,a thermodynamic model of the twin-tube hydraulic shock absorber is established by using the basic thermodynamic principles.By analyzing the influence of each parameter on the thermodynamic characteristics of the shock absorber,it can be seen that,the radius of the working cylinder outer wall has the greatest influence on the temperature rise of the shock absorber,followed by the thermal conductivity of the oil,the height of the oil,the heat transfer length of the cylinder barrel,the radius of the oil storage cylinder outer wall,the emissivity of the oil storage cylinder outer wall,the height of the nitrogen,the thermal conductivity of the nitrogen,the specific heat capacity of the oil,the density of the oil,the thermal conductivity of the cylinder,and the mass of the working oil.The kinematic viscosity of the oil has the least influence on the temperature rise of the shock absorber.The research can provide an effective theoretical guidance and reference for the design of the twin-tube hydraulic shock absorber.Yuewei Yu Leilei Zhao Changcheng Zhou Lin Yang 2020International Journal of Modeling, Simulation, and Scientific Computing2020,11,2:0
