| 1 | The long-term trend of the sea surface wind speed and the wave height (wind wave, swell, mixed wave) in global ocean during the last 44 a显示文摘Utilizing the 45 a European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts(ECMWF)reanalysis wave data(ERA-40),the long-term trend of the sea surface wind speed and(wind wave,swell,mixed wave)wave height in the global ocean at grid point 1.5×1.5 during the last 44 a is analyzed.It is discovered that a majority of global ocean swell wave height exhibits a significant linear increasing trend(2–8 cm/decade),the distribution of annual linear trend of the significant wave height(SWH)has good consistency with that of the swell wave height.The sea surface wind speed shows an annually linear increasing trend mainly concentrated in the most waters of Southern Hemisphere westerlies,high latitude of the North Pacific,Indian Ocean north of 30 S,the waters near the western equatorial Pacific and low latitudes of the Atlantic waters,and the annually linear decreasing mainly in central and eastern equator of the Pacific,Juan.Fernandez Archipelago,the waters near South Georgia Island in the Atlantic waters.The linear variational distribution characteristic of the wind wave height is similar to that of the sea surface wind speed.Another find is that the swell is dominant in the mixed wave,the swell index in the central ocean is generally greater than that in the offshore,and the swell index in the eastern ocean coast is greater than that in the western ocean inshore,and in year-round hemisphere westerlies the swell index is relatively low. | ZHENG Chongwei ZHOU Lin HUANG Chaofan SHI Yinglong LI Jiaxun LI Jing | 2013 | Acta Oceanologica Sinica2013,32,10: | 23 |

| 3 | Light absorption properties and potential sources of brown carbon in Fenwei Plain during winter 2018–2019显示文摘A distinctive kind of organic carbon aerosol that could absorb ultraviolet-visible radiation is called brown carbon(Br C),which has an important positive influence on radiative budget and climate change.In this work,we reported the absorption properties and potential source of Br C based on a seven-wavelength aethalometer in the winter of 2018–2019 at an urban site of Sanmenxia in Fenwei Plain in central China.Specifically,the mean value of Br C absorption coefficient was 59.6±36.0 Mm^(-1) at 370 nm and contributed 37.7%to total absorption,which made a significant impact on visibility and regional environment.Absorption coefficients of Br C showed double-peak pattern,and Br C had shown small fluctuations under haze days compared with clean days.As for the sources of Br C,Br C absorption coefficients expressed strong correlations with element carbon aerosols and primary organic carbon aerosols,indicating that most of Br C originated from primary emissions.The linear correlations between trace metal elements(K,As,Fe,Mn,Zn,and Pb)and Br C absorption coefficients further referred that the major sources of Br C were primary emissions,like coal burning,biomass burning,and vehicle emissions.The moderate relationship between Br C absorption coefficients and secondary organic aerosols suggested that secondary production of Br C also played an important role.The 120 hr backward air mass trajectories analysis and concentration-weighted trajectories analysis were also used to investigate potential sources of Br C in and around this area,which inferred most parts of Br C were derived from local emissions. | Wenyu Zhang Weigang Wang Jie Li Shuangliang Ma Chaofan Lian Kun Li Bo Shi Mingyuan Liu Yanyu Li QingQing Wang Yele Sun Shengrui Tong Maofa Ge | 2021 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2021,33,4: | 6 |
| 4 | Decadal Variability of Global Ocean Significant Wave Height显示文摘This paper presents the long-term climate changes of significant wave height(Hs) in 1958–2001 over the entire global ocean using the 45-year European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts(ECMWF) Reanalysis(ERA-40) wave data. The linear trends in Hs and regional and seasonal differences of the linear trends for Hs were calculated. Results show that the Hs exhibits a significant increasing trend of about 4.6 cm decade-1 in the global ocean as a whole over the last 44 years. The Hs changes slowly during the periods 1958–1974 and 1980–1991, while it increases consistently during the periods 1975–1980 and 1995–1998. The Hs reaches its lowest magnitude in 1975, with annual average wave height about 2 m. In 1992, the Hs has the maximum value of nearly 2.60 m. The Hs in most ocean waters has a significant increasing trend of 2–14 cm decade-1 over the last 44 years. The linear trend exhibits great regional differences. Areas with strong increasing trend of Hs are mainly distributed in the westerlies of the southern Hemisphere and the northern Hemisphere. Only some small areas show obvious decreasing in Hs. The long-term trend of Hs in DJF(December, January, February) and MAM(March, April, May) is much more stronger than that in JJA(June, July, August) and SON(September, October, November). | 5 | Early specializations for mimicry and defense in a Jurassic stick insect显示文摘Mimicry and secondary defense are staples among predator–prey interactions.Among insects,the stick and leaf insects are masters of camouflage.Nonetheless,a meager understanding of their origin and early mimetic evolution persists.Here,we report the earliest mimetic and defensive strategies of a stick insect from the Middle Jurassic of China,Aclistophasma echinulatum gen.et sp.nov.,exquisitely preserving abdominal extensions and femoral spines.The distribution of these characteristics mapped onto the phylogeny of Phasmatodea reveals that abdominal extensions and femoral spines developed multiple times during the evolution of stick insects,and indicates that the origin of abdominal extensions predates other modifications,while tergal extensions predate other expansions of the body,such as those of the sterna and pleura,as well as defensive femoral spines.The new fossil provides clues into early antipredator defensive strategies,allows inferences as to the potential environment and predators,and reveals the mimetic and defensive mechanisms of stick insects from 165 million years ago. | Hongru Yang Chaofan Shi Michael S.Engel Zhipeng Zhao Dong Ren Taiping Gao | 2021 | National Science Review2021,8,1: | 1 |
| 6 | High-frequency enhanced response based on Sb_(2)Te_(3)topological insulators显示文摘Topological insulators represent a new quantum phase of matter with spin-polarized surface states that are protected from backscattering, exhibiting electronic responses to light, such as topological quantum phase transitions. However, the effects of high-frequency driving topological intrinsic systems have remained largely unexplored challenges experimentally for high-sensitivity terahertz detection. In this study, by integrating Sb2Te3 topological insulators with subwavelength metal antennas through micro-nano processing, a high-frequency terahertz detector with high sensitivity is proposed. The enhanced response originates from the asymmetric scattering of the surface electrons in the Sb_(2)Te_(3) flakes induced by the terahertz wave. The device displays room-temperature photodetection with a responsivity of 192 mA/W and equivalent noise power of less than 0.35 nW/Hz^(1/2) in the frequency range from 0.02 to 0.3 THz. | 7 | How urbanization affect the ecosystem health of Tibet based on terrain gradients:a case study of Shannan,China显示文摘Urbanization has significant impacts on ecosystem health(ESH)by affecting land-use patterns.The evaluation of the ESH and the spatial correlations between human interference provides an insight into sustainable development as a response to potential ecological degradation if ESH is threatened by further urbanization.We applied the Vigor-Organization-Resilience-Services(VORS)modelto detect the responses of ESH of Shannan Prefecture in the Tibet to urbanization from 1990 to 2015,based on different levels of terrain gradients.The results show that the ESH of the most areas in Shannan reaches the levels of highest health and average health during the study period.By 2015,the area proportion at the highest health level increased by 0.68%,while that of degraded level decreased by 1.51%.Overall,the ESH of areas tends to shrink at higher-level TGs,and urban sprawl with ESH shrinking existed in middle-level TGs in Shannan.Furthermore,a significant spatial aggregation effect was found concerning that low ESH-high CUL type is mainly distributed on the middle-level TGs with dense human population.The results highlight the needs to rationally organize urbanization process in plateau regions based on different TGs,which contribute to maintain ESH advancing people livelihood improvement. | Ji Zhang Yu Shi Chaofan Xian Lu Zhang Ziying Zou | 2022 | Ecosystem Health and Sustainability2022,8,1: | 1 |
