1CIVB flashback analysis of hydrogen flame based on azimuthal vorticity at mixing zone exit显示文摘Swirl-premixed combustion systems exhibit potential to meet future regulations on pollution emissions. However, combustion induced vortex breakdown(CIVB) flashback is frequently observed in these systems, especially for high hydrogen content fuel. In this study, a swirl-premixed burner with diverging centerbody was used to investigate CIVB flashback based on azimuthal vorticity at mixing zone exit. Through 2D axisymmetric model, it was found that there was a maximal azimuthal vorticity at mixing zone exit for each equivalence ratio. The physical meaning of these maximal azimuthal vorticity values was the minimally required azimuthal vorticity to trigger CIVB flashback. At the same time, the required azimuthal vorticity declined with the increase of equivalence ratio since turbulent burning velocity started to control flashback. 2Effect of acid phosphatase produced by Trichoderma asperellum Q1 on growth of Arabidopsis under salt stress显示文摘Salt stress is a major environmental factor that inhibits crop growth.Trichoderma spp.are the most efficient biocontrol fungi and some of the strains can stimulate plant growth.Phosphate solubilization is known as one of the main mechanisms in promoting plant growth,but the underlying mechanisms of phosphate solubilization in the salinity still need to be explored.The Trichoderma asperellum Q1 isolated and identified in our lab is a beneficial rhizosphere biocontrol fungus with a high phosphate solubilization activity.It could produce acid and alkaline phosphatases when using insoluble organic phosphorus as the sole phosphorus source,the salt stress increased the phosphorus-solubilization ability of the strain and the activities of the two enzymes.Furthermore,an acid phosphatase was purified from the fermentation broth by ammonium sulphate precipitation,ion-exchange,and gel filtration chromatography.Its molecular weight was 55 k Da as determined by SDS-PAGE.The purified acid phosphatase was used to investigate growth performance of Arabidopsis thaliana by plate assay and the result showed that it contributed to Arabidopsis growth by transforming organic phosphate into a soluble inorganic form under salt stress.To our knowledge,this is the first report on acid phosphatase purification from T.asperellum and its function in regulation of plant growth under salt stress.ZHAO Lei LIU Qun ZHANG Ya-qing CUI Qing-yu LIANG Yuan-cun 2017Journal of Integrative Agriculture2017,16,6:6
3X-box-binding protein 1-modified neural stem cells for treatment of Parkinson's disease显示文摘X-box-binding protein 1-transfected neural stem cells were transplanted into the right lateral ventricles of rats with rotenone-induced Parkinson's disease. The survival capacities and differentiation rates of cells expressing the dopaminergic marker tyrosine hydroxylase were higher in X-box-binding protein 1-transfected neural stem cells compared to non-transfected cells. Moreover, dopamine and 3,4-dihydroxyphenylacetic acid levels in the substantia nigra were significantly increased, α-synuclein expression was decreased, and neurological behaviors were significantly ameliorated in rats following transplantation of X-box-binding protein 1-transfected neural stem cells. These results indicate that transplantation of X-box-binding protein 1-transfected neural stem cells can promote stem cell survival and differentiation into dopaminergic neurons, increase dopamine and 3,4-dihydroxyphenylacetic acid levels, reduce α-synuclein aggregation in the substantia nigra, and improve the symptoms of Parkinson's disease in rats.Lihui Si Tianmin Xu Fengzhang Wang Qun Liu Manhua Cui 2012Neural Regeneration Research2012,7,10:6
4A New Cytotoxic Compound from Penicillium auratiogriseum, Symbiotic or Epiphytic Fungus of Sponge Mycale plumose显示文摘A new compound, (S)-2, 4-dihydroxy-1-butyl (4-hydroxy) benzoate (1), and a known compound, fructigenines A (2), were isolated from fungus Penicillium auratiogriseum derived from sponge Mycale plumose, by bioassay-guided fractionation. Their structures were established by spectroscopic and chemical methods. 6Frequency-modulated continuous waves controlled by space-time-coding metasurface with nonlinearly periodic phases显示文摘The rapid development of space-time-coding metasurfaces(STCMs)offers a new avenue to manipulate spatial electromagnetic beams,waveforms,and frequency spectra simultaneously with high efficiency.To date,most studies are primarily focused on harmonic generations and independent controls of finite-order harmonics and their spatial waves,but the manipulations of continuously temporal waveforms that include much rich frequency spectral components are still limited in both theory and experiment based on STCM.Here,we propose a theoretical framework and method to generate frequency-modulated continuous waves(FMCWs)and control their spatial propagation behaviors simultaneously via a novel STCM with nonlinearly periodic phases.Since the carrier frequency of FMCW changes with time rapidly,we can produce customized time-varying reflection phases at will by the required FMCW under the illumination of a monochromatic wave.More importantly,the propagation directions of the time-varying beams can be controlled by encoding the metasurface with different initial phase gradients.A programmable STCM prototype with a full-phase range is designed and fabricated to realize reprogrammable FMCW functions,and experimental results show good agreement with the theoretical analyses.Jun Chen Ke Jun Yan Dai Jun Wei Zhang Zhanye Chen Ming Zheng Chen Yunfeng Lu Lei Zhang Li Wang Qun Yan Zhou Long Li Jin Shan Ding Qiang Cheng Tie Jun Cui 2022Light(Science & Applications)2022,11,10:4
7Rapid Non-destructive Detection for Molds Colony of Paddy Rice Based on Near Infrared Spectroscopy显示文摘Near infrared spectrometer technology under a wavelength range of 918-1045 nm was used to rapidly detect paddy rice that was stored at 5℃, 15℃ and 25℃. A total of 121 paddy rice samples were collected from artificial infection with moulds to build the calibration models to calculate the total number colony of moulds based on the principal component regression method and multiple linear regression method. The results of statistical analysis indicated that multiple linear regression method was applicable to the detection of the total number colony of moulds. The correlation of calibration data set was 0.943. The correlation of prediction data set was 0.897. Therefore, the result showed that near infrared spectroscopy could be a useful instrumental method for determining the total number colony of moulds in paddy rice. 8Variable stiffness design of redundantly actuated planar rotational parallel mechanisms显示文摘Redundantly actuated planar rotational parallel mechanisms(RAPRPMs) adapt to the requirements of robots under different working conditions by changing the antagonistic internal force to tune their stiffness.The geometrical parameters of the mechanism impact the performances of modulating stiffness.Analytical expressions relating stiffness and geometrical parameters of the mechanism were formulated to obtain the necessary conditions of variable stiffness.A novel method of variable stiffness design was presented to optimize the geometrical parameters of the mechanism.The stiffness variation with the internal force was maximized.The dynamic change of stiffness with the dynamic location of the mechanism was minimized,and the robustness of stiffness during the motion of the mechanism was ensured.This new approach to variable stiffness design can enable off-line planning of the internal force to avoid the difficulties of on-line control of the internal force.Li Kangkang Jiang Hongzhou Cui Zuo Huang Qun 2017Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2017,30,2:4
9Referred Somatic Hyperalgesia Mediates Cardiac Regulation by the Activation of Sympathetic Nerves in a Rat Model of Myocardial Ischemia显示文摘Myocardial ischemia(MI)causes somatic referred pain and sympathetic hyperactivity,and the role of sensory inputs from referred areas in cardiac function and sympathetic hyperactivity remain unclear.Here,in a rat model,we showed that MI not only led to referred mechanical hypersensitivity on the forelimbs and upper back,but also elicited sympathetic sprouting in the skin of the referred area and C8–T6 dorsal root ganglia,and increased cardiac sympathetic tone,indicating sympathetic-sensory coupling.Moreover,intensifying referred hyperalgesic inputs with noxious mechanical,thermal,and electro-stimulation(ES)of the forearm augmented sympathetic hyperactivity and regulated cardiac function,whereas deafferentation of the left brachial plexus diminished sympathoexcitation.Intradermal injection of the α_(2) adrenoceptor(α_(2)AR)antagonist yohimbine and agonist dexmedetomidine in the forearm attenuated the cardiac adjustment by ES.Overall,these findings suggest that sensory inputs from the referred pain area contribute to cardiac functional adjustment via peripheral α_(2)AR-mediated sympathetic-sensory coupling.Xiang Cui Guang Sun Honglei Cao Qun Liu Kun Liu Shuya Wang Bing Zhu Xinyan Gao 2022Neuroscience Bulletin2022,38,4:4
10Characterization and mapping of the multi-component release kinetics of a Traditional Chinese Medicine dosage form using a modified LC/MS/MS method and chemomic release kinetic theory显示文摘It is essential to develop effective methods for the quality control of the traditional medicine with multiple components.However,few researches on the quality control have been conducted to interpret the holistic characteristics of the traditional medicine in terms of dissolution/release.In this study,the multi-component release kinetics of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)dosage forms was characterized and mapped by multivariate analysis techniques in the field of‘‘-omics’’.The Liuweidihuang pill was used as a model formulation.The multi-component release kinetics of the concentrated and water-honeyed Liuweidihuang pills at rotation speeds of 50 and 100 rpm were analyzed by chemomic release kinetic theory and modified LC/MS/MS method.Mass features of 103(concentrated pills)and 101(water-honeyed pills)were selected with a linear correlation coefficient Z0.99 between mass responses and concentrations.To compose the chemomic standard spectrum,the relative abundance of both mass features was no less than 1%as compared with an internal standard.The correlation coefficients between six samples of various solutions were in line with analytical requirements of precision(rZ0.985).The score plots of principal component analysis showed that the concentrated Liuweidihuang pills presented better chemomic release reproducibility than the water-honeyed pills.Conversely,the impact of rotation speed on the chemomic release was less obvious.The heat maps of hierarchical clustering analysis did not show significant changes in individual clusters of mass features along different time intervals,reflecting the release integrity of the mass features.Therefore,both multivariate analysis methods,the principal component analysis and the hierarchical clustering analysis,seemed to be effective techniques to demonstrate the multiple component release performance of TCM.The research provided the basis of a new strategy for the quality control procedures of the dissolution/release for the traditional medicine and multi-component natural products to address increasing regulatory requirements and scrutiny across the world.Hai-yan Li Xiang-yong Cui Feng Gao Peter York Qun Shao Xian-zhen Yin Tao Guo Zhen Guo Jing-kai Gu Ji-wen Zhang 2011Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2011,1,2:3

12Time-dependent matrix metalloproteinases and tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinases expression change in fusarium solani keratitis显示文摘AIM: To investigate matrix metalloproteinases(MMPs)and tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinases(TIMPs)expression during the progress of fusarium solani(F.solani) keratitis in a rat model.· METHODS: A rat model of F.solani keratitis was produced using corneal scarification and a hand-made contact lens. MMPs and TIMPs expressiond were explored in this rat model of F.solani keratitis using real-time polymerase chain reaction(PCR) and DIF.GM6001(400 μmol/m L) was used to treat infected corneas. The keratitis duration, amount and area of corneal neovascularization(CNV) were evaluated.·RESULTS: MMP-3 expression was 66.3 times higher in infected corneas compared to normal corneas. MMP-8,-9,and-13 expressions were significantly upregulated in the mid-period of the infection, with infected- to-normal ratios of 4.03, 39.86, and 5.94, respectively. MMP-2 and-7expressions increased in the late period, with the infected-to-normal ratios of 5.94 and 16.22, respectively.TIMP-1 expression was upregulated in the early period,and it was 43.17 times higher in infected compared to normal corneas, but TIMP-2,-3, and-4 expressions were mildly downregulated or unchanged. 14Infection with severe fever with thrombocytopenia virus in healthy population:a cohort study in a high endemic region,China显示文摘Background: Severe fever with thrombocytopenia (SFTS) caused by SFTS virus (SFTSV) was a tick-borne hemorrhagic fever that posed significant threat to human health in Eastern Asia. The study was designed to measure the seroprevalence of SFTSV antibody in healthy population residing in a high endemic region.Methods: A cohort study was performed on healthy residents in Shangcheng County in Xinyang City from April to December in 2018, where the highest SFTS incidence in China was reported. Anti-SFTSV IgG was measured by indirect enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay and neutralizing antibody (NAb) was detected by using PRNT50. The logistic regression models were performed to analyze the variables that were associated with seropositive rates.Results: Totally 886 individuals were recruited. The baseline seroprevalence that was tested before the epidemic season was 11.9% (70/587) for IgG and 6.8% (40/587) for NAb, which was increased to 13.4% (47/350) and 7.7% (27/350) during the epidemic season, and further to 15.8% (80/508) and 9.8% (50/508) post epidemic. The IgG antibody-based seropositivity was significantly related to the patients aged ≥ 70 years old [adjusted odds ratio (OR) = 2.440, 95% confidence interval (CI): 1.334-4.461 compared to the group of < 50 years old,P = 0.004], recent contact with cats (adjustedOR = 2.195, 95%CI: 1.261-3.818,P = 0.005), and working in tea garden (adjustedOR = 1.698, 95%CI: 1.002-2.880,P = 0.049) by applying multivariate logistic regression model. The NAb based seropositivity was similarly related to the patients aged ≥ 70 years old (adjustedOR = 2.691, 95%CI: 1.271-5.695 compared to the group of < 50 years old,P = 0.010), and recent contact with cats (OR = 2.648, 95%CI: 1.419-4.941,P = 0.002). For a cohort of individuals continually sampled with 1-year apart, the anti-SFTSV IgG were maintained at a stable level, while the NAb level reduced.Conclusions: Subclinical infection might not provide adequate immunity to protect reinfection of SFTSV, thus highlighting the ongoing threats of SFTS in endemic regions, which called for an imperative need for vaccine development. 16Influence of Polluted SY River on Child Growth and Sex Hormones显示文摘Objective To investigate the influence of the polluted SY River on children's growth and sex hormones,and provide scientific data for assessment of the polluted status of the SY River.Methods The study areas were selected randomly from the SY River Basin.Lead (Pb),mercury (Hg),arsenic (As),phthalates (DEP,DBP,DMP,DEHP),and bisphenol A (BPA) were measured both in the river water and in the drinking water.School children were selected by cluster sampling (n=154).Physical development indexes (height,weight,bust-circumference,and skinfold thickness) and sex hormones [testosterone (T) and estradiol (E2)] were measured for all the children.Results The contents of Pb and Hg exceeded Class V standards of surface water quality in each section of the river and other indicators exceeded Class III.Compared to the control area,the concentrations of Pb,Hg,As,BPA,DEP,and DBP in the drinking water were significantly higher than in the polluted area (P<0.05).Children from the control area had significantly lower E2 and T than children from the polluted area (P<0.05).Among anthropometric results,only skinfold thickness had statistically significant difference between the two groups (P<0.05),while the other indexes showed no significant differences between the two groups (P>0.05).Conclusion The drinking water has been polluted by the SY River and affected serum sex hormone levels of children living in the polluted area.TANG Chun Yu LI An Qi GUAN Yong Bo LI Yan CHENG Xue Min LI Ping LI Shi Qun LUO Yi Xin HUANG Qi CHEN Hong Yang CUI Liu Xin 2012Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2012,25,3:2

18Optimization Design of the Grate Cooler Based on the Power Flow Method and Genetic Algorithms显示文摘As an important process during the cement production,grate cooler plays significance roles on clinker cooling and waste heat recovery.In this paper,we measured experimentally the heat balance of the grate cooler,which provided initial operating parameters for optimization.Then,the grate cooler was simplified into a series-connected heat exchanger network by power flow method.Constructing the equivalent thermal resistance network provided the global constraints by Kirchhoff’s law.On this basis,with the objectives of the minimum entropy generation numbers caused by heat transfer and viscous dissipation,solving a multi-objective optimization model achieved the Pareto Front by genetic algorithm.Then selecting the scheme of the lowest fan power consumption obtained the optimal operating parameters of the grate cooler.The results showed that the total mass flow of the optimized scheme did not change significantly compared with the original scheme,but the fan power consumption was 25.44%lower,and the heat recovery efficiency was 88.43%,which was improved by 11.35%.Furthermore,the analysis showed that the optimal operating parameters were affected by the local heat load.After optimizing the diameter of clinker particles within the allowable industrial range,the clinker with particle diameter of 0.02 m had the optimal performance.MA Xiaoteng CAO Qun CUI Zheng 2020Journal of Thermal Science2020,29,6:2
