1A mathematical modeling study of the HIV epidemics at two rural townships in the Liangshan Prefecture of the Sichuan Province of China显示文摘Background:As a response to a severe HIV epidemic in the Liangshan Prefecture,one of the worst in China,population based HIV interventions,including two population-wide HIV screening,have been carried out since 2005 at two townships in a remote mountainous region of Liangshan.The objective of our mathematical modeling study is to assess the temporal dynamics of the HIV epidemic in the two townships based on the data collected in the study area during the period 2005e2010.Methods:A mathematical model was set up to describe the population dynamics of HIV transmission in study area.The model was calibrated by fitting it to the HIV testing and treatment data from 2005 to 2008.Validation of the model was done by comparing its predicted value of HIV prevalence in 2010 to the prevalence data obtained in the 2010 population wide HIV testing.The validated model was used to produce estimation of HIV incidence,prevalence and death.Results:Our model estimations show that population-based HIV interventions have significantly slowed down the rise of the HIV epidemic in the two townships.Over the five-year period from 2005 to 2010,the year-over-year rate of increase in HIV incidence,prevalence,and death has declined by 91.5%,28.7%,and 52.3%,respectively.Conclusion:Mathematical models,when integrated with epidemiological and surveillance data,can be an effective tool for predicting the temporal dynamics of HIV and assessing the impacts of HIV interventions.Zhimin Su Caiting Dong Ping Li Hongxia Deng Yuhan Gong Shiyong Zhong Min Wu Yuhua Ruan Guangming Qin Wen Yang Yiming Shao Michael Li 2016Infectious Disease Modelling2016,1,1:2
2The Geographical Rotation of Local Officials and Enterprise Cross-city Mergers and Acquisitions in China显示文摘The economic impact of the geographical rotation of local officials is important in China's official management system.This study used a zero-inflated Poisson regression model and found that the geographical rotation of local officials significantly increased cross-city mergers and acquisitions(M&As)of enterprises.The impact of local officials'geographical rotation on M&As was more pronounced under certain conditions.These conditions included:(i)when officials were transferred from cities with a higher development level to cities with a lower development level;(ii)when the outflow cities were municipalities directly governed by the central government,provincial capitals,or separately listed cities;(iii)when the transfers of officials occurred within the same province;(iv)when the transfers took place before 2012;and(v)when the transfers happened in the years following significant central government conferences,which provided strong political incentives for M&As.Liangxiong Huang Peilun Li Xianbin Wang Caiting Yang 2023China & World Economy2023,31,4:0
3A pyrazine based metal-organic framework for selective removal of copper from strongly acidic solutions显示文摘The selective capture of copper from strongly acidic solutions is of vital importance from the perspective of sustainable development and environmental protection.Metal organic frameworks(MOFs)have attracted the interest of many scholars for adsorption due to their fascinating physicochemical characteristics,including adjustable structure,strong stability and porosity.Herein,pz-UiO-66 containing a pyrazine structure is successfully synthesized for the efficient separation of copper from strongly acidic conditions.Selective copper removal at low pH values is accomplished by using this material that is not available in previously reported metal–organic frameworks.Furthermore,the material exhibits excellent adsorption capacity,with a theoretical maximum copper uptake of 247 mg/g.As proven by XPS and FT-IR analysis,the coordination of pyrazine nitrogen atoms with copper ions is the dominant adsorption mechanism of copper by pz-UiO-66.This work provides an opportunity for efficient and selective copper removal under strongly acidic conditions,and promises extensive application prospects for the removal of copper in the treatment for acid metallurgical wastewater.Jiachuang Shao Penghui Shao Mingming Peng Min Li Ziwei Yao Xiuqin Xiong Caiting Qiu Yufan Zheng Liming Yang Xubiao Luo 2023Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2023,17,3:0
