Sedum alfredii H:A new Zn hyperaccumulating plant first found in China显示文摘Field survey and greenhouse experiments were carried out to identify and characterize zinc (Zn) uptake and accumulation by a new Zn hyperaccumulating plant species (Sedum alfredii Hance) native to China. Zinc concentration in the shoots of Sedum alfredii Hance grown on an ancient mined area ranged from 4134 to 5000 mg/kg, with a mean of 4515 mg/kg. It suggests that Sedum alfredii could not only grow on heavily Pb/Zn contaminated soils, but also could accumulate extraordinarily high concentration of Zn. Under nutrient solution culture conditions, Sedum alfredii Hance grew healthy at Zn supplying levels from 0.006 to 240 mg · L-1. Zinc concentration in the shoots increased with external Zn levels increasing. The Zn concentration and accumulation in the shoots reached the highest at Zn supply level of SO mg/L, with 19.67 g/kg and 19.83 nig/plant, respectively. All the results showed that Sedum alfredii Hance is a new Zn hyperaccumulating plant. | 2 | Real-time collision dynamics of vector solitons in a fiber laser显示文摘Particle-like structures of solitons, as a result of the balance between dispersion and nonlinearity, enable remarkable elastic and inelastic soliton collisions in many fields. Despite the experimental observation of temporal vector-soliton collisions in birefringent fibers, collision dynamics of vector solitons in fiber lasers have not been revealed before, to the best of our knowledge. Here, the real-time spectral evolutions of vector solitons during collisions in a dual-comb fiber laser, which generates vector solitons with slightly different repetition rates, are captured by a time-stretch dispersive Fourier transform technique. We record the whole process of vector-soliton collisions, including the formation of weak pulses induced by cross-polarization coupling, opposite central wavelength shifts of both vector solitons, distinct intensity redistribution and dissipative energy, and gradual recovery to initial states. Furthermore, extreme collisions with strong four-wave mixing sidebands are observed by virtue of coherent coupling between the orthogonal polarization components of vector solitons. Numerical simulations match well with the experimental observations. The experimental and numerical evidences of vector-soliton collision dynamics could give insight into the understanding of nonlinear dynamics in fiber lasers and other physical systems, as well as the improvement of laser performance for application in dual-comb spectroscopy. | Kangjun Zhao Chenxin Gao Xiaosheng Xiao Changxi Yang | 2021 | Photonics Research2021,9,3: | 4
Origin of High Efficiency and Long-Term Stability in Ionic Liquid Perovskite Photovoltaic显示文摘Environment-friendly protic amine carboxylic acid ionic liquids(ILs)as solvents is a significant breakthrough with respect to traditional highly coordinating and toxic solvents in achieving efficient and stable perovskite solar cells(PSCs)with a simple one-step air processing and without an antisolvent treatment approach. However,it remains mysterious for the improved efficiency and stability of PSCs without any passivation strategy. Here,we unambiguously demonstrate that the three functions of solvents, additive, and passivation are present for protic amine carboxylic acid ILs.We found that the ILs have the capability to dissolve a series of perovskite precursors, induce oriented crystallization, and chemically passivate the grain boundaries. This is attributed to the unique molecular structure of ILs with carbonyl and amine groups, allowing for strong interaction with perovskite precursors by forming C=O…Pb chelate bonds and N-H…I hydrogen bonds in both solution and film. This finding is generic in nature with extension to a wide range of IL-based perovskite optoelectronics. | Lingfeng Chao Tingting Niu Hao Gu Yingguo Yang Qi Wei Yingdong Xia Wei Hui Shouwei Zuo Zhaohua Zhu Chengjie Pei Xiaodong Li Jing Zhang Junfeng Fang Guichuan Xing Hai Li Xiao Huang Xingyu Gao Chenxin Ran Lin Song Li Fu Yonghua Chen Wei Huang | 2020 | Research2020,,1: | 2

Incorporation of a histone mutant with H3K56 site substitution perturbs the replication machinery in mouse embryonic stem cells显示文摘Sense mutations in several conserved modifiable sites of histone H3 have been found to be strongly correlated with multiple tissuespecific clinical cancers. These clinical site mutants acquire a distinctively new epigenetic role and mediate cancer evolution. In this study,we mimicked histone H3 at the 56th lysine(H3K56)mutant incorporation in mouse embryonic stem cells(mESCs)by lentivirus-mediated ectopic expression and analyzed the effects on replication and epigenetic regulation. The data show that two types of H3K56 mutants, namely H3 lysine 56-to-methionine(H3K56M)and H3 lysine 56-to-alanine(H3K56A),promote replication by recruiting more minichromosome maintenance complex component 3 and checkpoint kinase 1 onto chromatin compared with wild-type histone H3 and other site substitution mutants.Under this condition, the frequency of genomic copy number gain in H3K56M and H3K56A cells globally increases, especially in the Mycl1 region,a known molecular marker frequently occurring in multiple malignant cancers.Additionally,we found the disruption of H3K56 acetylation distribution in the copy-gain regions, which indicates a probable epigenetic mechanism of H3K56M and H3K56A.We then identified that H3K56M and H3K56A can trigger a potential adaptation to transcription;genes involved in the mitogen-activated protein kinase pathway are partially upregulated, whereas genes associated with intrinsic apoptotic function show obvious downregulation. The final outcome of ectopic H3K56M and H3K56A incorporation in mESCs is an enhanced ability to form carcinomas. This work indicates that H3K56 site conservation and proper modification play important roles in harmonizing the function of the replication machinery in mESCs. | Xuan Kang Xiaomei Yang Xiaobo Guo Yabin Li Chenxin Yang Huimin Wei Jianfeng Chang | 2022 | Journal of Molecular Cell Biology2022,14,3: | 0
Clustering compression-based computation-efficient calibration method for digital twin modeling of HVAC system显示文摘Digital twin is regarded as the next-generation technology for the effective operation of heating, ventilation and air conditioning(HVAC)systems. It is essential to calibrate the digital twin models to match them closely with real physical systems.Conventional real-time calibration methods cannot satisfy such requirements since the computation loads are beyond acceptable tolerances. To address this challenge, this study proposes a clustering compression-based method to enhance the computation efficiency of digital twin model calibration for HVAC systems. This method utilizes clustering algorithms to remove redundant data for achieving data compression. Moreover,a hierarchical multi-stage heuristic model calibration strategy is developed to accelerate the calibration of similar component models. Its basic idea is that once a component model is calibrated by heuristic methods, its optimal solution is utilized to narrow the ranges of parameter probability distributions of similar components.By doing so,the calibration process can be guided,so that fewer iterations would be used. The performance of the proposed method is evaluated using the operational data from an HVAC system in an industrial building. Results show that the proposed clustering compression-based method can reduce computation loads by 97%,compared to the conventional calibration method. And the proposed hierarchical heuristic model calibration strategy is capable of accelerating the calibration process after clustering and saves 14.6%of the time costs. | Jie Lu Xiangning Tian Chenxin Feng Chaobo Zhang Yang Zhao Yiwen Zhang Zihao Wang | 2023 | Building Simulation2023,16,6: | 0
Intracavity spatiotemporal metasurfaces显示文摘Optical metasurfaces are endowed with unparallel flexibility to manipulate the light field with a subwavelength spatial resolution.Coupling metasurfaces to materials with strong optical nonlinearity may allow ultrafast spatiotemporal light field modulation. However, most metasurfaces demonstrated thus far are linear devices. Here,we experimentally demonstrate simultaneous spatiotemporal laser mode control using a single-layer plasmonic metasurface strongly coupled to an epsilon-near-zero(ENZ)material within a fiber laser cavity. While the geometric phase of the metasurface is utilized to convert the laser’s transverse mode from a Gaussian beam to a vortex beam carrying orbital angular momentum, the giant nonlinear saturable absorption of the ENZ material enables pulsed laser generation via the Q-switching process. The direct integration of a spatiotemporal metasurface in a laser cavity may pave the way for the development of miniaturized laser sources with tailored spatial and temporal profiles, which can be useful for numerous applications, such as superresolution imaging,high-density optical storage, and three-dimensional laser lithography. | Wenhe Jia Chenxin Gao Yongmin Zhao Liu Li Shun Wen Shuai Wang Chengying Bao Chunping Jiang Changxi Yang Yuanmu Yang | 2023 | Advanced Photonics2023,5,2: | 0
Spatiotemporal mode-locking and dissipative solitons in multimode fiber lasers显示文摘Multimode fiber(MMF)lasers are emerging as a remarkable testbed to study nonlinear spatiotemporal physics with potential applications spanning from high energy pulse generation, precision measurement to nonlinear microscopy. The underlying mechanism for the generation of ultrashort pulses, which can be understood as a spatiotempoal dissipative soliton(STDS),in the nonlinear multimode resonators is the spatiotemporal mode-locking(STML)with simultaneous synchronization of temporal and spatial modes. In this review,we first introduce the general principles of STML,with an emphasize on the STML dynamics with large intermode dispersion. Then,we present the recent progress of STML,including measurement techniques for STML,exotic nonlinear dynamics of STDS,and mode field engineering in MMF lasers. We conclude by outlining some perspectives that may advance STML in the near future. | Bo Cao Chenxin Gao Kewei Liu Xiaosheng Xiao Changxi Yang Chengying Bao | 2023 | Light(Science & Applications)2023,12,11: | 0
PRMT6 promotes tumorigenicity and cisplatin response of lung cancer through triggering 6PGD/ENO1 mediated cell metabolism显示文摘Metabolic reprogramming is a hallmark of cancer, including lung cancer. However, the exact underlying mechanism and therapeutic potential are largely unknown. Here we report that protein arginine methyltransferase 6(PRMT6)is highly expressed in lung cancer and is required for cell metabolism, tumorigenicity, and cisplatin response of lung cancer.PRMT6 regulated the oxidative pentose phosphate pathway(PPP)flux and glycolysis pathway in human lung cancer by increasing the activity of 6-phosphogluconate dehydrogenase(6PGD)and a-enolase(ENO1).Furthermore,PRMT6 methylated R324 of 6PGD to enhancing its activity;while methylation at R9 and R372 of ENO1 promotes formation of active ENO1 dimers and 2-phosphoglycerate(2-PG)binding to ENO1,respectively.Lastly,targeting PRMT6 blocked the oxidative PPP flux, glycolysis pathway, and tumor growth,as well as enhanced the antitumor effects of cisplatin in lung cancer.Together, this study demonstrates that PRMT6 acts as a posttranslational modification(PTM)regulator of glucose metabolism, which leads to the pathogenesis of lung cancer. It was proven that the PRMT6-6PGD/ENO1 regulatory axis is an important determinant of carcinogenesis and may become a promising cancer therapeutic strategy. | Mingming Sun Leilei Li Yujia Niu Yingzhi Wang Qi Yan Fei Xie Yaya Qiao Jiaqi Song Huanran Sun Zhen Li Sizhen Lai Hongkai Chang Han Zhang Jiyan Wang Chenxin Yang Huifang Zhao Junzhen Tan Yanping Li Shuangping Liu Bin Lu Min Liu Guangyao Kong Yujun Zhao Chunze Zhang Shu-Hai Lin Cheng Luo Shuai Zhang Changliang Shan | 2023 | Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2023,13,1: | 0
