1On the timing and duration of the destruction of the North China Craton显示文摘The timing and duration of the destruction of the North China Craton, which is pivotal to understanding the destruction mechanism and its geodynamic controlling factors, still remain controversial. On the basis of the principles of magma genesis and evolution, first we outline magmatic expressions that can be related to cratonic destruction, then use magmatic and basin evolution trends to constrain the timescale of the lithospheric thinning in North China. The main conclusions include: (1) the thinning of the lithosphere beneath the North China Craton might have started, at least locally, since late Carboniferous-late Triassic, attained its climax during the late Jurassic-early Cretaceous, and continued till the end of late Cretaceous-early Cenozoic. The destruction of the North China Craton was a relatively slow, rather than a dramatic process. (2) The weakened lithospheric zones along the margins and interiors of the craton played an important role in cratonic destruction, partly accounting for the heterogeneous pattern of cratonic destruction. (3) The tectonic factors that controlled the destruction of the North China Craton may be multiple. The late Carboniferous southward subduction of the Paleo-Asian plate and the late Triassic collision between North China and South China may have re-activated the craton by influencing the thermal and integral structure of the craton. The Pacific subduction underneath the eastern Asian continent played a determinant role in the cratonic destruction, governing the distribution patterns of post-Mesozoic basins and major tectonic configuration, temporal change of magmatism and formation of the North-South gravity lineament.XU YiGang LI HongYan PANG ChongJin HE Bin 2009Chinese Science Bulletin2009,54,19:70
2High-resolution palmprint minutiae extraction based on Gabor feature显示文摘Extracting effective minutiae is difficult for high-resolution palmprint, because of the strong influence from principal lines, creases, and other noises. In this paper, a novel minutiae detection and reliability measurement method is proposed for high-resolution palmprint minutiae extraction. Firstly, we propose the Gabor Amplitude-Phase model for palmprint representation, which contains sufficient palmprint information and consists of the phase field and amplitude field. Because of the explicit meanings of minutiae in phase field,a minutiae descriptor is constructed to detect them directly. Also, to measure minutiae reliability and remove the unreliable ones, the Gabor Amplitude-Phase feature vector is designed. It can be used for describing the local area of a minutia redundantly. Then, the Adaboost algorithm is introduced in model training to select best features and corresponding weak classifiers for minutiae authenticity discriminant. Finally, the response value of weighted linear combination of selected weak classifiers is used for minutiae reliability measurement and unreliable ones removal. According to our analysis, the selected features are meaningful and useful for describing the minutiae area and measuring their reliability. 3Epidemic status of Angiostrongylus cantonensis in Hainan island,China显示文摘Objective:To understand the current epidemiological status of Angiostrongylus cantonensis in Hainan island and provide the scientific evidences for prevention and control of the disease.Methods:The investigation on nature infection condition of intermediate hosts and final hosts of Angiostrongylus cantonensis were carried out in five counties,Hainan Province, and enzyme linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA) was employed to detect antibodies of Angiostrongylus cantonensis in human hosts.Results:A total of 1 612 molluscs were examined, 21.3%of which harbored L3 of Angiostrongylus cantonensis.Among them,the infection rates of Pomacea canaliculata,Achatina fulica,Cepaea and Phlegm bilineatus were 12.3696(64/518), 22.66%(121/534),20.93%(9/43),and 28.24%(146/517),respectively.Of the 118 rats trapped,13 Rattus norvegicus were found to be infected with Angiostrongylus cantonensis.A total of 459 serum samples were collected and tested.92 serum samples were Angiostrongylus cantonensis antibody-positive.Conclusions:The survey revealed a wide distribution of Angiostrongylus cantonensis in Hainan island.Pomacea canaUculata and Achatina fulica are main intermediate hosts of Angiostrongylus cantonensis.Rattus novegicus is a nature definitive host,indicating that a considerable number of people are at risk of angiostrongyliasis.Health education,rigorous food inspection and surveillance are all needed to prevent angiostrongyliasis outbreaks in future.Ximin Hu Jianwei Du Chongjin Tong Shanqing Wang Jian Liu Yuchun Li Changhua He 2011Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Medicine2011,4,4:2

10Spalling failure of deep hard rock caverns显示文摘Spalling is a typical brittle failure phenomenon of hard rock in deep caverns under high geostress.In this study,key issues are systematically studied concerning the spalling failure of deep hard rock caverns.First,the prismatic rock specimens with small thicknesses(i.e.width×thickness×height:20 mm×50 mm×100 mm)are employed in our tests which not only successfully simulate the spalling failure of hard rock in the laboratory but also obtain a reasonable spalling strength similar to that of the rock mass.Then,a series of spalling experiments is carried out to investigate the mechanism of spalling failure of deep hard rock caverns.Our results show that the intermediate principal stress,weak dynamic disturbances,and rock microstructure have significant effects on the spalling failure.The spalling strength is approximately(0.3–0.8)UCS,where UCS is the uniaxial compressive strength of the cylindrical rock sample with a diameter of around 50 mm.The spalling strength increases first and then decreases with increasing intermediate principal stress.Moreover,an empirical spalling strength criterion and a numerical method of spalling failure are proposed.This numerical method can not only simulate the spalling failure zone formed by tangential compressive stress concentration after excavation under different intermediate principal stresses,but also successfully simulate the failure transition from tensile mode to shear mode associated with confinement change in deep hard rock caverns.Furthermore,an acoustic emission-based early warning method using neural network is proposed to predict the spalling failure.Finally,a technical roadmap for preventing and controlling spalling failure of deep hard rock caverns is presented after summarizing the successful experiences in a typical engineering case.Guoshao Su Yanxiang Chen Quan Jiang Chongjin Li Wei Cai 2023Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2023,15,8:1

16Targeting tumor endothelial hyperglycolysis enhances immunotherapy through remodeling tumor microenvironment显示文摘Vascular abnormality is a hallmark of most solid tumors and facilitates immune evasion.Targeting the abnormal metabolism of tumor endothelial cells(TECs)may provide an opportunity to improve the outcome of immunotherapy.Here,in comparison to vascular endothelial cells from adjacent peritumoral tissues in patients with colorectal cancer(CRC),TECs presented enhanced glycolysis with higher glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase(GAPDH)expression.Then an unbiased screening identified that osimertinib could modify the GAPDH and thus inhibit its activity in TECs.Low-dose osimertinib treatment caused tumor regression with vascular normalization and increased infiltration of immune effector cells in tumor,which was due to the reduced secretion of lactate from TECs by osimertinib through the inhibition of GAPDH.Moreover,osimertinib and anti-PD-1 blockade synergistically retarded tumor growth.This study provides a potential strategy to enhance immunotherapy by targeting the abnormal metabolism of TECs.Yunlong Shan Qi Ni Qixiang Zhang Mengying Zhang Bin Wei Lingge Cheng Chongjin Zhong Xinyu Wang Qingqing Wang Jiali Liu Jingwei Zhang Jingjing Wu Guangji Wang Fang Zhou 2022Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2022,12,4:0
17INFLUENCE OF THE UPSTREAM RESERVOIRS ON THE ADJUSTMENT OF DOWNSTREAM ALLUVIAL CHANNEL显示文摘From the systematic analysis of field data of the existing reservoirs on the main stem of the Yellow River it has been found that different modes of operation of the reservoirs have different effects on the regulation of runoff and sediment load, and consequently, on the self-adjustment of the downstream channel. If a reservoir functions as water impoundment or flood detention, the sediment transport capacity will decrease because of the reduction of flood peaks. Espeially when large amount of sediment load are brought into the river by sediment-laden tributaries downstream of the reservoir, the deposition on the downstream channel will be getting serious, the conveyance capacity will decrease and the channel itself will degenerate. Under the operation of storing the clear flow and releasing the muddy the reservior capacity can be maintained for long-term use and the sediment transport capacity of the downstream channel can be increased.
