2Direct-impact of sieving coal and gangue显示文摘Gangue from underground separation of coal can directly be used for filling mined out areas, saving transport capacity and reducing the amount of waste polluting the environment above the ground. We introduced a structure and operating principle of an underground direct-impact sieving device by which a separation experiment was carried out. By means of high speed conveyer belts, coal and gangue impacted the breaking board at high speeds ranging from 6 to 14 m/s. Given the differences of hardness between coal and gangue, after selective crushing, the gangue with the higher hardness was crushed less and coal with lower hardness crushed more, which could be separated by a 50 mm sieving plate. The material above the sieving plate was disposed of as gangue and the material below as coal. The results indicate that the crush ratio below the 50 mm sieving plate increases linearly with an increase in impact velocity and decays exponentially with an increase in hardness. Employing this equipment to separate coal and gangue, the hardness of coal f should be <2. 3A new bone repair scaffold combined with chitosan/ hydroxyapatite and sustained releasing icariin显示文摘Icariin, a plant-derived flavonol glycoside, has been proved as an osteoinductive agent for bone tissue engineering. A new bone repair scaffold was generated by thorough mixing of icariin and chitosan/ hydroxyapatite (icariin-CS/HA) using freeze-drying technigue. Characteristics of morphology, mechanical properties, biocompatibility, drug release behavior and bone repair abilities in vivo were evaluated. The results show that drug loading process of icariin did not affect physical structure of CS/HA composite significantly but decreased mechanical properies of CS/HA composite, which happened with a high dosage; icariin-CS/HA had favorable cell compatibility and promoted osteogenic differentiation of hBMSCs; the controlled release of icariin was satisfactory and the release retained after 90 d in vitro. In addition, icariin-CS/HA scaffolds had favorable osteoconduction and osteoinduction in vivo, and could fill bone defect sites and stimulate newborn bone tissues formation at early stage. 5Effect of a Traditional Chinese Medicine combined therapy on adolescent idiopathic scoliosis:a randomized controlled trial显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the effectiveness of a combined Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) therapy versus conventional treatment on adolescent idiopathic scoliosis.METHODS:One hundred twenty outpatients with mild and moderate adolescent idiopathic scoliosis were randomly divided into a TCM group(TCMG)and a brace group(CG).TCMG patients underwent Daoyin,Tuina,and acupotomology therapies.CG patients were treated with a Milwaukee brace.Each patient's Cobb angle was measured after 12 and 24 months of treatment,and pulmonary function was determined after 12 months of treatment.Average electromyogram(AEMG) ratio of the surface electromyogram was measured after 6 and 12 months of treatment and followed-up after 18 and 24 months.RESULTS:The Cobb angle significantly decreased in both groups after 12 months of treatment compared with before treatment(P< 0.05).The percentages of original Cobb angle in TCMG and CG were51.4%and 47.8%(P > 0.05) after 12 months and62.5%and 34.7%(P < 0.05) after 24 months,respectively.Pulmonary function significantly improved after 12 months in TCMG(P < 0.05) but significantly decreased in CG(P < 0.05).The AEMG ratio was significantly lower(P < 0.01) and tended to remain at1 after stopping treatment in TCMG,but increased in CG(P<0.05).CONCLUSION:TCM combined therapy can prevent the progression of scoliosis.The AEMG ratio is a promising index that could replace radiography in the evaluation of treatment effect and progression in scoliosis.Wei Hui Xu Jinyuan Jiang Zhong Ye Shuliang Song Hongquan Ning Xitao Huang Huanmin Chen Wei Pei Jianwei Jiang Nengyi Chen Shao Du Honggen 2015Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2015,35,5:9

9The mechanosensitive lncRNA Neat1 promotes osteoblast function through paraspeckle-dependent Smurf1 mRNA retention显示文摘Mechanical stimulation plays an important role in bone remodeling. Exercise-induced mechanical loading enhances bone strength,whereas mechanical unloading leads to bone loss. Increasing evidence has demonstrated that long noncoding RNAs(lnc RNAs) play key roles in diverse biological, physiological and pathological contexts. However, the roles of lnc RNAs in mechanotransduction and their relationships with bone formation remain unknown. In this study, we screened mechanosensing lnc RNAs in osteoblasts and identified Neat1, the most clearly decreased lnc RNA under simulated microgravity. Of note, not only Neat1 expression but also the specific paraspeckle structure formed by Neat1 was sensitive to different mechanical stimulations, which were closely associated with osteoblast function. Paraspeckles exhibited small punctate aggregates under simulated microgravity and elongated prolate or larger irregular structures under mechanical loading. Neat1 knockout mice displayed disrupted bone formation, impaired bone structure and strength, and reduced bone mass. Neat1 deficiency in osteoblasts reduced the response of osteoblasts to mechanical stimulation. In vivo, Neat1 knockout in mice weakened the bone phenotypes in response to mechanical loading and hindlimb unloading stimulation. Mechanistically, paraspeckles promoted nuclear retention of E3 ubiquitin ligase Smurf1 m RNA and downregulation of their translation, thus inhibiting ubiquitination-mediated degradation of the osteoblast master transcription factor Runx2, a Smurf1 target. 10Trace Amounts of Triple-Functional Additives Enable Reversible Aqueous Zinc-Ion Batteries from a Comprehensive Perspective显示文摘Although their cost-effectiveness and intrinsic safety,aqueous zinc-ion batteries suffer from notorious side reactions including hydrogen evolution reaction,Zn corrosion and passivation,and Zn dendrite formation on the anode.Despite numerous strategies to alleviate these side reactions have been demonstrated,they can only provide limited performance improvement from a single aspect.Herein,a triple-functional additive with trace amounts,ammonium hydroxide,was demonstrated to comprehensively protect zinc anodes.The results show that the shift of electrolyte pH from 4.1 to 5.2 lowers the HER potential and encourages the in situ formation of a uniform ZHS-based solid electrolyte interphase on Zn anodes.Moreover,cationic NH^(4+)can preferentially adsorb on the Zn anode surface to shield the“tip effect”and homogenize the electric field.Benefitting from this comprehensive protection,dendrite-free Zn deposition and highly reversible Zn plating/stripping behaviors were realized.Besides,improved electrochemical performances can also be achieved in Zn//MnO_(2)full cells by taking the advantages of this triple-functional additive.This work provides a new strategy for stabilizing Zn anodes from a comprehensive perspective.Ruwei Chen Wei Zhang Quanbo Huang Chaohong Guan Wei Zong Yuhang Dai Zijuan Du Zhenyu Zhang Jianwei Li Fei Guo Xuan Gao Haobo Dong Jiexin Zhu Xiaohui Wang Guanjie He 2023Nano-Micro Letters2023,15,6:2

12Epidemic status of Angiostrongylus cantonensis in Hainan island,China显示文摘Objective:To understand the current epidemiological status of Angiostrongylus cantonensis in Hainan island and provide the scientific evidences for prevention and control of the disease.Methods:The investigation on nature infection condition of intermediate hosts and final hosts of Angiostrongylus cantonensis were carried out in five counties,Hainan Province, and enzyme linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA) was employed to detect antibodies of Angiostrongylus cantonensis in human hosts.Results:A total of 1 612 molluscs were examined, 21.3%of which harbored L3 of Angiostrongylus cantonensis.Among them,the infection rates of Pomacea canaliculata,Achatina fulica,Cepaea and Phlegm bilineatus were 12.3696(64/518), 22.66%(121/534),20.93%(9/43),and 28.24%(146/517),respectively.Of the 118 rats trapped,13 Rattus norvegicus were found to be infected with Angiostrongylus cantonensis.A total of 459 serum samples were collected and tested.92 serum samples were Angiostrongylus cantonensis antibody-positive.Conclusions:The survey revealed a wide distribution of Angiostrongylus cantonensis in Hainan island.Pomacea canaUculata and Achatina fulica are main intermediate hosts of Angiostrongylus cantonensis.Rattus novegicus is a nature definitive host,indicating that a considerable number of people are at risk of angiostrongyliasis.Health education,rigorous food inspection and surveillance are all needed to prevent angiostrongyliasis outbreaks in future.Ximin Hu Jianwei Du Chongjin Tong Shanqing Wang Jian Liu Yuchun Li Changhua He 2011Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Medicine2011,4,4:2

17Chitin derived nitrogen-doped porous carbons with ultrahigh specific surface area and tailored hierarchical porosity for high performance supercapacitors显示文摘In this study,we report the fabrication of nitrogen rich activated nanosized carbon with hierarchical micro/mesoporous and ultrahigh specific surface area by template-free and one-step carbonization-activation method,which greatly simplified the process and avoided the waste of reagents.Chitin nanoparticles were prepared by a mechanical induced sol-gel transition process in NaOH/Urea solvent and a subsequent carbonization utilizing NaOH for activation and urea for N doping,resulting in activated carbon(ACNC-800)with extraordinary specific surface area(2631 m^(2)/g)and high nitrogen content(7.1%).Further characterization and electrochemical tests demonstrate high electrochemical performance of the activated nanocarbon.Under the current density of 0.5 A/g,the specific capacitance of the three-electrode system is 245 F/g and that of the two-electrode system is 227 F/g.The assembled capacitors exhibit superior rate performance and good cycle stability(98%capacitance retention after 10000 charge-discharge cycles).This work introduces a simple and efficient strategy to prepare N-doped carbon with hierarchical porosity applied to high performance supercapacitors.Si Zheng Jianwei Zhang Hongbing Deng Yumin Du Xiaowen Shi 2021Journal of Bioresources and Bioproducts2021,6,2:1
18Sequential separation of Cu(Ⅱ)/Ni(Ⅱ)/Fe(Ⅱ)from strong-acidic pickling wastewater with a two-stage process based on a bi-pyridine chelating resin显示文摘A self-synthesized bi-pyridine chelating resin(PAPY)could separate Cu(Ⅱ)/Ni(Ⅱ)/Fe(Ⅱ)sequentially from strong-acidic pickling wastewater by a two-stage p H-adjusted process,in which Cu(Ⅱ),Ni(Ⅱ),and Fe(Ⅱ)were successively preferred by PAPY.In the first stage(p H 1.0),the separation factor of Cu(Ⅱ)over Ni(Ⅱ)reached 61.43 in Cu(Ⅱ)-Ni(Ⅱ)-Fe(Ⅱ)systems.In the second stage(p H 2.0),the separation factor of Ni(Ⅱ)over Fe(Ⅱ)reached 92.82 in Ni(Ⅱ)-Fe(Ⅱ)systems.Emphasis was placed on the selective separation of Cu(Ⅱ)and Ni(Ⅱ)in the first-stage.The adsorption amounts of Cu(Ⅱ)onto PAPY were 1.2 mmol/g in the first stage,while those of Ni(Ⅱ)and Fe(Ⅱ)were lower than 0.3 mmol/g.Cu(Ⅱ)adsorption was hardly affected by Ni(Ⅱ)with the presence of dense Fe(Ⅱ),but Cu(Ⅱ)inhibited Ni(Ⅱ)adsorption strongly.Part of preloaded Ni(Ⅱ)could be replaced by Cu(Ⅱ)based on the replacement effect.Compared with the absence of Fe(Ⅱ),dense Fe(Ⅱ)could obviously enhance the separation of Cu(Ⅱ)-Ni(Ⅱ).More than 95.0%of Cu(Ⅱ)could be removed in the former 240 BV(BV for bed volume of the adsorbent)in the fixed-bed adsorption column process with the flow rate of 2.5 BV/h.As proved by X-ray photoelectron spectrometry(XPS)and density functional theory(DFT)analyses,Cu(Ⅱ)exerted a much stronger deprotonation and chelation ability toward PAPY than Ni(Ⅱ)and Fe(Ⅱ).Thus,the work shows a great potential in the separation and purification of heavy metal resources from strong-acidic pickling wastewaters.Yingzhi Lv Lidan Zong Zicheng Liu Jianwei Du Fenghe Wang Yanhong Zhang Chen Ling Fuqiang Liu 2021Chinese Chemical Letters2021,32,9:1
