| 6 | PyWRKY26 and PybHLH3 cotargeted the PyMYB114 promoter to regulate anthocyanin biosynthesis and transport in red-skinned pears显示文摘Red pear is favored because of its bright appearance and abundant anthocyanins.Anthocyanin biosynthesis is controlled by transcription factors(TFs)forming regulatory complexes.In red-skinned pears,the WRKY TFs have a significant relationship with anthocyanin biosynthesis,but the molecular mechanism of the WRKY TFs involved in regulating color formation in red-skinned pear is unclear.In this study,the TFs PyWRKY31 and PyWRKY26 were screened as candidate genes for controlling anthocyanin biosynthesis by transcriptome data and bioinformatics analysis.The effect of anthocyanin accumulations after cotransformation of PyWRKY31 or PyWRKY26 with its partners PyMYB10,PyMYB114,and PybHLH3 was verified in tobacco leaves and strawberry receptacles by a transient expression system.RT-qPCR analysis and a dual-luciferase reporter system further confirmed that this cotransformation activated the expression of PyDFR,PyANS,and PyUFGT in anthocyanin biosynthesis and PyGST in anthocyanin transport instead of the PyABC transporter and PyAVP.Furthermore,the cotransformed PyWRKY26 and PybHLH3 could bind to the PyMYB114 promoter,and PyWRKY26 directly activated the transcription of PyMYB114.In addition,the TF PyWRKY26 could interact with PybHLH3,as confirmed by firefly luciferase complementation and yeast two-hybrid(Y2H)assays.These results showed that the interaction of PyWRKY26 and PybHLH3 could cotarget the PyMYB114 promoter,which resulted in anthocyanin accumulation in red-skinned pear.This study further strengthened the understanding of the regulatory mechanism of anthocyanin accumulation and contributed to improving the appearance of red-skinned pears. | Chuang Li Jun Wu Kang-Di Hu Shu-Wei Wei Hong-Ye Sun Lan-Ying Hu Zhuo Han Gai-Fang Yao Hua Zhang | 2020 | Horticulture Research2020,7,1: | 5 |

| 8 | Effects of Sb Content on Solidification Pathways and Grain Size of AZ91 Magnesium Alloy显示文摘The phase constitution and solidification pathways of AZ91+xSb(x = 0, 0.1, 0.5, 1, in wt%) alloys were investigated through ways of microstructure observation, thermal analysis technique, and thermodynamic calculation. It was found that the non-equilibrium solidification microstructure of AZ91+xSb(x = 0.1, 0.5, 1) is composed of a-Mg matrix, b-Mg17Al12 phase, and intermetallic compound Mg3Sb2. The grain size of the alloys with different Sb contents was quantitatively determined by electron backscattered diffraction technique which shows no grain refinement in Sb-containing AZ91 alloy. Thermodynamic calculations are in reasonable agreement with thermal analysis results, showing that the Mg3Sb2 phase forms after a-Mg nucleation, thus impossible acts as heterogeneous nucleus for a-Mg dendrite. | 10 | Decrease in DNA methylation 1(DDM1) is required for the formation of ~mCHH islands in maize显示文摘DNA methylation plays a crucial role in suppressing mobilization of transposable elements and regulation of gene expression. A number of studies have indicated that DNA methylation pathways and patterns exhibit distinct properties in different species, including Arabidopsis, rice, and maize.Here, we characterized the function of DDM1 in regulating genome-wide DNA methylation in maize. Two homologs of Zm DDM1 are abundantly expressed in the embryo and their simultaneous disruption caused embryo lethality with abnormalities in cell proliferation from the early stage of kernel development. We establish that Zm DDM1 is critical for DNA methylation, at CHG sites, and to a lesser extent at CG sites, inheterochromatic regions, and unexpectedly, it is required for the formation ofmCHH islands. In addition, Zm DDM1 is indispensable for the presence of 24-nt si RNA, suggesting its involvement in the Rd DM pathway. | 12 | Hot Deformation Behavior and Workability of(SiC_p + Mg_2B_2O_(5w))/6061 Al Hybrid and SiC_p/6061 Al Composites显示文摘The hot deformation behavior of(3 vol%SiC_p + 3 vol%Mg_2B_2O_(5w))/6061 Al(W_3P_3) hybrid composite and6 vol%SiCp/6061 Al(P_6) composite have been characterized in the temperature range of 300-450 ℃ and strain rate range of 0.0001-0.1 s^(-1) using isothermal constant true strain rate tests.The flow behavior and processing maps have been investigated using the corrected data to eliminate the effect of friction.Under the same deformation conditions,the compressive resistance of the singular composite remains superior to that of the hybrid composites.The processing map of W_3P_3 hybrid composite exhibits a single hot working domain at the temperature between 350 and 450 ℃ with strain rate between 0.0001 and 0.003 s^(-1)(domain A).Two hot working domains exist for P_6 composite:(i) 300-400 ℃/0.0001-0.003 s^(-1)(domain Bl);(ii) 380-450 ℃/0.01-0.1 s^(-1)(domain B2).The processing maps also reveal the flow instability of the two composites,which is associated with whiskers breakage,whisker/matrix interfacial debonding,SiCp/matrix interfacial decohesion,adiabatic shear bands or flow localization,and wedge cracking in the corresponding regions.The estimated apparent activation energies are about 224 kJ mol^(-1) in domain A for W3P3 hybrid composite,177 kJ mol^(-1) in domain Bl and 263 kJ mol^(-1) in domain B2 for P_6 composite,respectively.These values are higher than that for self-diffusion in Al(142 kJ mol^(-1)),suggesting that there is a significant contribution from the back stress caused by the presence of particles and/or whiskers in the matrix.The deformation mechanisms corresponding to domain Bl and domain B2 are dislocation climb controlled creep and cross-slip for P_6 composite,respectively.For W_3P_3 hybrid composite,the deformation mechanisms contain dislocation climb controlled creep and grain boundary sliding caused by DRX in domain A. | Mingliang Wang Peipeng Jin Jinhui Wang Li Han Chuang Cui | 2014 | Acta Metallurgica Sinica(English Letters)2014,27,1: | 2 |

| 14 | A model of NSCLC microenvironment predicts optimal receptor targets显示文摘Background:Tumor microenvironment plays an essential role in the growth of malignancy.Understanding how tumor cells co-evolve with tumor-associated immune cells and stromal cells is important for tumor treatment.Methods:In this paper,we propose a logistic population dynamics model for quantifying the intercellular signaling nebvork in non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC).The model describes the evolutionary dynamics of cells and signaling proteins and was used to predict effective receptor targets through combination strategy analysis.Then,we optimized a multi-target strategy analysis algorithm that was verified by applying it to virtual patients with heterogeneous conditions.Furthermore,to deal with acquired resistance which was commonly observed in patients with NSCLC,we proposed a novel targeting strategy-tracking targeted therapy,to optimize the treatment by improving the therapeutic strategy periodically.Results:The synergistic effect when inhibiting multiple signaling pathways may help significantly retard carcinogenic processes associated with disease progression,compared with suppression of a single signaling pathway.While traditional treatment (surgery,radiotherapy and chemotherapy) tends to attack tumor cells directly,the multi-target therapy we suggested here is aimed to inhibit the development of tumor by emasculating the relative competitive advantages of tumor cells and promoting that of normal cells.Conclusion:The combination of traditional and targeted therapy,as an interesting experiment,was significantly more effective in treatment of virtual patients due to a clear complementary relationship between the two therapeutic schemes. | Chuang Han Yu Wu | 2019 | Frontiers of Electrical and Electronic Engineering in China2019,7,2: | 1 |

| 19 | Fluorobenzene diluted low-density electrolyte for high-energy density and high-performance lithium-sulfur batteries显示文摘The mass fraction of electrolytes is the crucial factor affecting the energy density of lithium-sulfur(Li-S)batteries. Due to the high porosity within the C/S cathode, high concentration of polysulfides, and side reaction in lithiun metal anode under lean electrolyte, it is extremely challenging to improve performance while reducing the electrolyte volume. Here, we report a novel electrolyte with relatively low density(1.16 g cm^(-2)), low viscosity(1.84 m Pa s), and high ionic conductivity, which significantly promotes energy density and cyclability of Li-S batteries under practical conditions. Moreover, such electrolyte enables a hybrid cathode electrolyte interphase(CEI) and solid electrolyte interface(SEI) layer with plentiful Li F, which leads to fast kinetics of ions transport and stable cyclability even under low temperatures.Compared to Li-S batteries in electrolyte employing 1,1,2,2-tetrafluoroethyl 2,2,3,3-tetrafluoropropyl ether(TTE) diluent, the ultra-thick cathode(20 mg cm^(-2)) shows a high capacity of 9.48 m Ah cm^(-2)and excellent capacity retention of 80.3% over 191 cycles at a low electrolyte-to-sulfur ratio(E/S = 2) and negative-to-positive capacity ratio(N/P = 2.5), realizing a 19.2% improvement in energy density in coin cells(from 370 to 441 Wh kg^(-1)) and a high energy density up to 467 Wh kg^(-1) in pouch cells.
