1Possible early Neoproterozoic magmatism associated with slab window in the Pingshui segment of the Jiangshan-Shaoxing suture zone: Evidence from zircon LA-ICP-MS U-Pb geochronology and geochemistry显示文摘We report here geochemical data, U-Pb zircon ages, and Hf isotopes for the high-Mg diorites (HMDs), Nb-enriched basaltic porphyrys (NEBPs) and plagiogranites (PLAGs) in the Pingshui segment of the Jiangshan-Shaoxing suture zone. The HMDs are characterized by high Mg# (>60), high Na and LREE contents, depletion of HREE and HFSE, and pronounced positive εNd(t) values of 7.0 to 7.7, similar to some adakitic high-Mg andesites. The NEBPs are relatively Na-rich (Na2O/K2O>6) and display high abundances of P2O5 (~1.00%), TiO2 (~3.08%) and HFSE (e.g., Nb=9.53-10.27 ppm). Their Nd isotopic compositions (εNd(t)=6.8-8.0) are comparable to those of the HMDs. The PLAGs are metaluminous (A/CNK=0.84-0.89) and sodic (Na2O/K2O>10). Their depletion in HFSE (e.g., Nb, Ta) is consistent with 'SSZ-type' plagiogranite. Zircon LA-ICP-MS U-Pb dating yields an age of 932±7 Ma for the HMD, 916±6 Ma for the NEBP, and 902±5 Ma for the PLAG, respectively, indicating that they were products of early Neoproterozoic magmatism. The PLAGs exhibit relatively high zircon Hf isotopes and positive εHf(t) values of 11.0 to 16.2, consistent with their Nd isotopic data (εNd(t)=7.5-8.4). Such features are similar to those of oceanic plagiogranites in ophiolites and distinct from those of crust-derived granites. The PLAGs were most likely derived from partial melting of subducted oceanic crust in an active continental margin. Considering these results in the context of the regional geology, we suggest that a slab window in the subducting oceanic crust between the Yangtze Block and Cathaysia Block was possibly the principal cause for the unique arc magmatism in the area. 2Analogic China map constructed by DNA显示文摘In this research,a nanoscale DNA structure of analogic China map is created. The nanostructure of roughly 150 nm in diameter with a spatial resolution of 6 nm is purely constructed by folding DNA. The picture observed by atomic force microscopy (AFM) is almost identical with the de-signed shape. 3Electrochemical single nucleotide polymorphisms genotyping on surface immobilized three-dimensional branched DNA nanostructure显示文摘An electrochemical assay for single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) genotyping is reported. Although electrochemical method is sensitive for DNA detection on surfaces, the ability of surface assay to precisely recognize DNA hybridization event is sacrificed to some extent due to the crowded confined surfaces environments that disfavor DNA hybridization. In the present study, we employed branched tetrahedron structure probes (TSPs) to replace regular linear single stranded DNA capture probes that were immobilized on solid surfaces. This three-dimensional DNA nanostructure lowers the density of immobilized DNA probes on confined surfaces, providing a hybridization environment that is similar to homogenous solution. 4Relationships between vegetation and stomata,and between vegetation and pollen surface soil in Yunnan,Southwest China显示文摘Surface pollen and stomata of 61 samples collected in a study area ranging from tropical seasonal rainforest to oak forest(Quercus spinosa) in the Yulong Snow Mountain region in Yunnan,China,are used to distinguish vegetation communities.The results show that tropical seasonal rainforest(and mountain rainforest),south subtropical evergreen broad-leaved forest,and Quercus shrub are distinguished effectively from other vegetation types by analysis of surface pollen.The south subtropical evergreen broad-leaved forest,Pinus kesiya forest and evergreen broadleaf forest are distinguished effectively from other types of vegetation by pollen analysis.However,P.yunnanensis forest is not distinguished from other vegetation types,and P.armandii,P.densata forest and temperate deciduous conifer mixed forest are not distinguished.The over-representation of Pinus pollen is the main reason that these vegetation communities are not distinguished from each other.Conifer stomata analysis is an effective tool for identifying and distinguishing different types of coniferous forest,and this method performs well even with a small number of sampling points.SHEN HuaDong LI ChunHai WAN HeWen TONG GuoBang LIU JinSong DAN Johnson 2013Chinese Science Bulletin2013,58,15:12

6Experimental demonstrations of high-Q superconducting coplanar waveguide resonators显示文摘We successfully designed and fabricated an absorption-type of superconducting coplanar waveguide (CPW) resonators. The resonators are made from a niobium film (about 160 nm thick) on a high-resistance Si substrate, and each resonator is fabricated as a meandered quarter-wavelength transmission line (one end is short to the ground and another end is capacitively coupled to a through feedline). With a vector network analyzer we measured the transmissions of the applied microwave through the resonators at ultra-low temperature. The obtained loaded quality factors are significantly high, i.e. up to ~10 6 . When the temperature increases slowly from the base temperature (20 mK), the resonance frequencies of the resonators are blue shifted and the quality factors are lowered slightly. 7Regional eco-efficiency evaluation and spatial pattern analysis of the Yangtze River Economic Zone显示文摘The environmental ecology of the Yangtze River Economic Zone(YREZ)faces ecological function decline,deterioration and degradation under intense human activities,long-term development and utilization and its economy has developed rapidly over recent decades.Eco-efficiency is considered as a measure of coordinated development of economy,resources,environment and ecology,and is currently considered a very important issue.In this paper,based on the slack-based measure and data envelope analysis model,we take 129 prefecture-level cities of the YREZ as the study unit and measure the eco-efficiency of the YREZ in 2000,2005,2010 and 2015,which considers undesired output.The evaluation of the status quo of the regional eco-efficiency development was carried out at provincial,prefectural and city scales.The spatial autocorrelation test model and standard deviation ellipse were used to analyze the spatially distributed characteristics and the evolutionary regularity of eco-efficiency.Our study suggested that the eco-efficiency value varied significantly at different spatiotemporal scales and the overall distribution presented an'N-shaped'pattern,the value is the largest downstream and the smallest upstream.Regional eco-efficiency presented certain volatility in growth and a clear spatial positive agglomeration trend from 2000 to 2015.The spatial distribution of each agglomeration area was also significantly different,forming some high-high agglomeration areas at the center of the shaft with Shanghai and surrounding cities,and some low-low agglomeration areas at the center with middle reaches and upstream cities.The low-high over-aggregation and high-low polarization clusters were fewer.At the same time,with the change of the research period,the degree of positive agglomeration became increasingly pronounced and the eco-efficiency gap of the neighborhoodunit reduced.The regional eco-efficiency value of the YREZ presented a spatial distribution pattern in the northeast-southwest axis and the evolutionary pattern of the regional eco-efficiency similarly showed a northeast-southwest orientation.HA Lin TU Jianjun YANG Jianping XU Chunhai PANG Jiaxing LU Debin YAO Zuolin ZHAO Wenyu 2020Journal of Geographical Sciences2020,30,7:8
8Design of a Carbon Nanotube/Magnetic Nanoparticle-Based Peroxidase-Like Nanocomplex and Its Application for Highly Efficient Catalytic Oxidation of Phenols显示文摘We report a novel nanotechnology-based approach for the highly efficient catalytic oxidation of phenols and their removal from wastewater.We use a nanocomplex made of multi-walled carbon nanotubes(MWNTs)and magnetic nanoparticles(MNPs).This nanocomplex retains the magnetic properties of individual MNPs and can be effectively separated under an external magnetic fi eld.More importantly,the formation of the nanocomplex enhances the intrinsic peroxidase-like activity of the MNPs that can catalyze the reduction of hydrogen peroxide(H2O2).Significantly,in the presence of H2O2,this nanocomplex catalyzes the oxidation of phenols with high effi ciency,generating insoluble polyaromatic products that can be readily separated from water.Xiaolei Zuo Cheng Peng Qing Huang Shiping Song Lihua Wang Di Li Chunhai Fan 2009Nano Research2009,2,8:8
9Graphene-based nanomaterials in biosystems显示文摘Graphene-based nanomaterials have emerged as a novel type of materials with exceptional physicochemical properties and numerous applications in various areas. In this review, we summarize recent advances in studying interactions between graphene and biosystems. We first provide a brief introduction on graphene and its derivatives, and then discuss on the toxicology and biocompatibility of graphene, including the extracellular interactions between graphene and biomacromolecules, cellular studies of graphene, and in vivo toxicological effects. 10Dependability analysis of the data communication system in train control system显示文摘Communication based train control (CBTC) system is based on mobile communication and overcomes fixed blocks in order to increase track utilization and train safety. The data communication system (DCS) between trains and wayside equipment is a crucial factor for the safe and efficient operation of CBTC system. The dependability under various transmission conditions needs to be modeled and evaluated. In this paper,a stochastic reward net (SRN) model for DCS based IEEE 802.11 standard was developed,which captures all relevant failure and failure recovery behavior system aspects in a concise way. We compared the reliability,availability for DCS with and without access point (AP) and antenna redundant configuration. We also quantitatively evaluated and compared the frame loss probability for three DCS configurations with different train velocities and train numbers in one radio cell. Fixed-point iteration was adopted to simplify the analysis. 11Mechanism of the interaction between Au nano-particles and polymerase in nanoparticle PCR显示文摘Nanoparticle PCR is a novel method to optimize DNA amplification. It performs well in improving specificity, enhancing sensitivity and speed. Several mechanisms were proposed in previous studies: one was based on the interaction between gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) and DNA while the other was attributed to the heat transfer property of AuNPs. In this paper, we propose that the interaction between AuNPs and DNA polymerase can significantly influence PCR. First, the addition of DNA polymerase can eliminate the inhibitory effects of excess AuNPs. Second, the addition of AuNPs will increase yield of the desired PCR product and make the optimum concentration of DNA polymerase move to higher value. Third, while excess polymerase might inhibit amplification efficiency, AuNPs can reverse this process and the yield of PCR amplification. 12Aptamer-wrapped gold nanoparticles for the colorimetric detection of omethoate显示文摘Organophosphorous pesticide(OP) contamination has serious adverse effects on human health and the environment. Due to the toxicity of OPs and the threat presented by their accidental or intentional release in populated areas, the determination and monitoring of these OPs in food products and environment is of great importance. OPs are present in very small quantities and therefore, methods for their detection need to be highly sensitive and selective. Here, we aimed to develop a simple and selective aptamer-based colorimetric assay for the detection of omethoate, which is one of the commonly used OPs. The principle of the assay is that single-stranded DNA(ss DNA)-wrapped gold nanoparticles(Au NPs) are resistant to salt-induced aggregation. By employing an 'artificial antibody' organophosphorous pesticide-binding aptamer(OBA) as the recognition element, aptamer-wrapped Au NPs(Au-apta) show high selectivity towards omethoate, resulting in the disconnection of aptamers from Au NPs and the aggregation of Au NPs. As there is a significant color change from the interparticle plasmon coupling during the aggregation of Au NPs, the established assay showed good linearity between 0.1 and 10 μmol/L, with a low detection limit of 0.1 μmol/L. Other OPs such as profenofos, phorate, and isocarbophos would not interfere with the detection of omethoate despite having similar structures. 14Hydrochlorination of Acetylene Using SiC Foam Supported Structured C/Au Catalysts显示文摘AUCI_3 loaded structured catalysts were prepared on SiC foam supported with pre-coated activated carbon layers.The catalytic properties of the structured catalysts towards hydrochlorination of acetylene were tested in a fixedbed reactor with the AuCI_3 loaded on activated carbon pellets as a reference.For isopyknic catalysts,the structured catalyst with only one fifth of the Au amount as that was used on the reference catalyst exhibited even a little higher acetylene conversion and much better stability than the latter no matter what the gas hourly space velocities of acetylene were used.The results indicated that the more homogeneous distribution of AUCI_3 particles and better heat transfer along the fixed-bed reactor originated from the low pressure drop and high thermal conductivity of the SiC foam supported structured catalysts might be able to account for their improved efficiency and stability.It is believed that these novel structured C/Au catalysts can be potentially applied in VCM industrialization in view of their greatly reduced cost and much prolonged life.Xiaodan Yang Chunhai Jiang Zhenming Yang Jinsong Zhang 2014Journal of Materials Science & Technology2014,30,5:6
15Characterization of aroma compounds of Pu-erh ripen tea using solvent assisted flavor evaporation coupled with gas chromatography-mass spectrometry and gas chromatography-olfactometry显示文摘Pu-erh ripen tea becomes popular worldwide owing to its unique taste and aroma.In the present study,volatile compounds from Pu-erh ripen tea were extracted using a solvent assisted flavor evaporation(SAFE)and analyzed with a gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(GC-MS)and a gas chromatography olfactometry(GC-O).Results demonstrated that 58 major volatile compounds and 24 aroma active substances of Pu-erh ripen tea were identified by GC-MS and GC-O analysis.Among volatile compounds identified,methoxyphenyl compounds were considered as the dominate compounds in the aroma of Pu-erh ripen tea.Further investigation showed that 6 methoxybenzenes were responsible for the aging aroma in Pu-erh ripen tea;α-ionone,3,4-dimethoxytoluene,1,3-dimethoxybenzene,etc.were responsible for the wood-like aroma.Linalool,α-terpineol,α-ionone,β-ionone,and benzeneacetaldehyde were responsible for the floral odor.Compared the odor detection threshold(ODT)among the 8 methoxyphenyl compounds in water,1,2,3-trimethoxybenzene showed the highest ODT,followed by 3,4-dimethoxyphenol.1,3-dimethoxybenzene(105μg/L)and 1,2,3-trimethoxy-5-methylbenzene(100μg/L)were present at relatively low odor threshold values.The result indicated that methoxyphenyl compounds play a vital role in the unique flavor of Pu-erh ripen tea.Bei Wang Qing Meng Lin Xiao Ruili Li Chunhai Peng Xueli Liao Jingna Yan Honglin Liu Guanhua Xie Chi-Tang Ho Huarong Tong 2022Food Science and Human Wellness2022,11,3:6
16Detection of infrared photons with a superconductor显示文摘A superconductor single photon detector based on NbN nanowire was fabricated using electron beam lithography (EBL) and reactive ion etching (RIE) for infrared photon detection. When biased well below its critical current at 4.2 K, NbN nanowire is very sensitive to the incident photons. Typical telecommunication photons with a wavelength of 1550 nm were detected by this detector. 17Design and fabrication of superconducting HEB mixer显示文摘This paper describes the design and fabrication of superconducting hot electron bolometer (HEB) mixer based on ultra-thin superconducting NbN films. The high quality films were epitaxially grown on high resistance Si substrates. The device was fabricated by magnetron sputtering, electron beam lithography (EBL), reactive ion etching (RIE), lithography, and so on. The device's resistance-tempera-ture (R-T) curves and current-voltage (I-V) curves were studied. The results of THz response of the device are presented. Y-factor technique was used to measure the device's noise temperature. 18Numerical Simulation Study on Cooling Characteristics of a New Type of Film Hole显示文摘A new type of film cooling hole with micro groove structure is presented in this paper.Based on the finite volume method and the Realizable k-εmodel,the film cooling process of the hole in a flat plate structure is simulated.The surface temperature distribution and film cooling effect of different film cooling holes were analyzed.The effects of micro-groove structure on wall attachment and cooling efficiency of jet were discussed.The results show that under the same conditions,the transverse coverage width and overall protective area of the new micro-groove holes are larger than those of the ordinary cylindrical holes and special-shaped holes.Compared with ordinary holes,the new micro-groove holes can better form the film covering on the surface and enhance the overall film cooling efficiency of the wall.For example,when the blowing ratio M=1.5,the effective coverage ratio of micro-groove holes is 1.5 times the dustpan holes and is 8 times the traditional cylindrical holes.It provides reference data and experience rules for the optimization and selection of advanced cooling structure of high performance aero-gas engine hot-end components.GUO Chunhai WANG Bin KANG Zhenya ZHANG Wenwu ZHENG Huilong 2021Journal of Thermal Science2021,30,1:4
19Character and fabrication of Al/Al_2O_3/Al tunnel junctions for qubit application显示文摘The superconductive Josephson junction is the key device for superconducting quantum computation. We have fabricated Al/Al2O3/Al tunnel junctions using a double angle evaporation method based on a suspended shadow mask. The Al2O3 junction barrier has been formed by introducing pure oxygen into the chamber during the fabrication process. We have adjusted exposure conditions by changing either the oxygen pressure or the oxidizing time during the formation of tunnel barriers to control the critical current density Jc and the junction specific resistance Rc.
