| 1 | Recent developments in nanofiltration membranes based on nanomaterials显示文摘Nanofiltration membranes are the core elements for nanofiltration process. The chemical structures and physical properties of nanofiltration membranes determine water permeability, solute selectivity, mechanical/thermal stability, and antifouling properties, which greatly influence the separation efficiency and operation cost in nanofiltration applications. In recent years, a great progress has been made in the development of high performance nanofiltration membranes based on nanomaterials. Considering the increasing interest in this field, this paper reviews the recent studies on the nanofiltration membranes comprising various nanomaterials, including the metal and metal oxide nanoparticles, carbon-based nanomaterials, metal–organic frameworks(MOFs), water channel proteins, and organic micro/nanoparticles. Finally, a perspective is given on the further exploitation of advanced nanomaterials and novel strategy for fabricating nano-based nanofiltration membranes. | 5 | Preparation and characterization of the micro-arc oxidation composite coatings on magnesium alloys显示文摘The magnesium alloys attract the light-weight manufacture due to its high strength to weight ratio,however the poor corrosion resistance limits the application in automobile industry.The Micro-arc Composite Ceramic(MCC)coatings on AZ91D magnesium alloys were prepared by Micro-arc Oxidation(MAO)and electrophoresis technologies.The microstructure,corrosion resistance,abrasion resistance,stone impact resistance and adhesion of MCC coatings were studied respectively.The cross section morphologies showed that the outer organic coating was filled into the hole on surface of MAO coating,and it acted as a shelter against corrosive products.The copper-accelerated acetic acid salt spray Test,abrasion resistance test,stone impact resistance test,thermal shock resistance test and adhesion test were used to evaluate the protective characterization by the third testing organization which approved by GM.The test results showed the composite coatings meet all the requirements.The MCC coating on Mg presents excellent properties,and it is a promising surface treatment technology on magnesium alloys for production vehicles. | Yanfeng Ge Bailing Jiang Ming Liu Congjie Wang Wenning Shen | 2014 | Journal of Magnesium and Alloys2014,2,4: | 3 |
| 6 | Phylogenetic diversity of dinoflagellates in polar regions显示文摘Because of the limitations of sampling and seasonal study in polar regions,knowledge of dinoflagellate diversity,distribution and ecology are limited.Dinoflagellates have been incidentally reported from polar regions during some seasons and some populations have been reported as components of microalgae.Surveys of molecular diversity link the genotype of dinoflagellates from polar regions with environmental adaptation.In this study,37 positive clones of dinoflagellates collected from different sites were used for genotype analysis,providing new insights into the biodiversity and distribution of these species based on 18S rRNA sequencing.Diverse genotypes were recorded for the summer season in Kongsfjorden (high Arctic) whilst a single novel genotype of dinoflagellate was recorded from winter samples from the Antarctic Ocean.Data from ice cores suggests that this single dinoflagellate genotype was adapted to extreme cold and clone library screening found that it was occasionally the only microbial eukaryotic genotype found in winter ice cores.The findings of this study could improve our understanding of the diverse dinoflagellate genotypes occurring in these perennially cold microbial ecosystems. | LUO Wei DAI CongJie LI HuiRong GAO XiaoYan | 2011 | Chinese Journal of Polar Science2011,22,1: | 3 |
| 7 | Separation of mixed salts(Cl-/SO42-) by ED based on monovalent anion selective membranes显示文摘The industrial products or wastewater rich in the mixed salts(Cl-/SO4^2-) not only causes the environmental damage, but also induces waste of resource. In this study, an ED stack with monovalent selective AEMs and conventional CEMs was employed to separate the Cl-and SO42-from simulated wastewater. The effect of current density and mass fraction percentage was investigated in order to optimize the experimental conditions during ED process. It was found that at a concentration ratio between NaCl and Na2SO4 of 95/5(wt%/wt%) and a current density of40 m A·cm^-2, a current efficiency of 72%, an energy consumption of 1.6 k W·h·kg^-1 Na Cl and a Cl-/SO4^2-concentration(67.5/3.5 g·L^-1) were obtained. | 9 | Optimal design of nanofiltration system for surface water treatment显示文摘Both reverse osmosis(RO) and nanofiltration(NF) membranes have been increasingly used for water purification and desalination. However, the salt rejection of NF membranes is quite different from that of RO membranes,which makes a significant distinction in their process designs. This work started from the performance investigation of a single NF membrane element and then focused on the process design of the NF system for surface water treatment. In experimental tests, it was found that the observed rejection of the NF element becomes nearly constant when the concentrate flow is large enough, while the membrane flux of the NF element is quite stable regardless of the water flow across the membrane surface. These findings can be used to instruct the process design of the NF system for surface water treatment. | 10 | Using bipolar membrane electrodialysis to synthesize di-quaternary ammonium hydroxide and optimization design by response surface methodology显示文摘Bipolar membrane electrodialysis(BMED) has already been described for the preparation of quaternary ammonium hydroxide. However, compared to quaternary ammonium hydroxide, di-quaternary ammonium hydroxide has raised great interest due to its high thermal stability and good oriented performance.In order to synthesize N,N-hexamethylenebis(trimethyl ammonium hydroxide)(HM(OH)_2) by EDBM,experiments designed by response surface methodology were carried out on the basis of single-factor experiments. The factors include current density, feed concentration and flow ratio of each compartment(feed compartment: base compartment: acid compartment: buffer compartment). The relationship between current efficiency and the above-mentioned three factors was quantitatively described by a multivariate regression model. According to the results, the feed concentration was the most significant factor and the optimum conditions were as follows: the current efficiency was up to 76.2%(the hydroxide conversion was over 98.6%), with a current density of 13.15 m A·cm^(-2), a feed concentration of 0.27 mol·L^(-1) and a flow ratio of 20 L·h^(-1):26 L·h^(-1):20 L·h^(-1):20 L·h^(-1) for feed compartment, base compartment, acid compartment, and intermediate compartment, respectively. | 14 | Identification and characterization of loop7 motif and its role in regulating biological function of human APOBEC3G through molecular modeling and biological assay显示文摘Human APOBEC3G(h A3G) is a cytidine deaminase which inhibits HIV-1 replication. The HIV-1 accessory protein viral infectivity factor(Vif) counteracts with hA3G by targeting it for proteasomal degradation. In this work, we constructed and optimized molecular models of the hA3G dimer and the h A3G–Vif complex. The molecular modeling study revealed that the loop7 motif of hA3G appears on the interfaces of both the h A3G–Vif complex and the hA3G dimer. Biochemical analysis provided evidence suggesting that binding of Vif to hA3G results in steric blocking of hA3G dimerization, implying that monomeric hA3G serves as a substrate for Vif-mediated degradation.Furthermore, we presented evidence for the important roles of the loop7 motif, especially the central residues within the region, in hA3G dimerization, h A3G–Vif interaction, Vif-mediated hA3G degradation as well as subcellular localization of hA3G.
