1Microscopic structures of ionic liquids 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate in water probed by the relative chemical shift显示文摘The relative chemical shifts (△δ) △δwere put forward to investigate the microscopic structure of 1-ethyl-3-methyl-imidazolium tetrafluoroborate (EmimBF4) during the dilution process with water.The concentration-dependent △δ(C2)H-(C4)H,△δ(C2)H-(C5)H and △δ(C4)H-(C5)H were analyzed.The results reveal that the variations of the microscopic structures of three aromatic protons are inconsistent.The strength of the H-bond between water and three aromatic protons follows the order:(C2)H···O > (C4)H···O > (C5)H···O.The concentration-dependent △δ(C6)H-(C7)H and △δ(C6)H-(C8)H indicate the formation of the H-bonds of (Calkyl)H···O is impossible,and more water is located around (C6)H than around (C7)H or (C8)H.The concentration-dependent △δ(C2)H-(C4)H and △δ(C2)H-(C5)H both increase rapidly when xwater > 0.9 or so,suggesting the ionic pairs of EmimBF4 are dissociated rapidly.The turning points of concentration-dependent △δ(C2)H-(C4)H and △δ(C2)H-(C5)H indicate that some physical properties of the EmimBF4/water mixtures also change at the corresponding concentration point.The microscopic structures of EmimBF4 in water could be clearly detected by the relative chemical shifts.XU YingJie GAO Yan ZHANG LiQun YAO Jia WANG CongMin LI HaoRan 2010Science China Chemistry2010,53,7:8
2ZrOCl_2·8H_2O: An Efficient and Cheap Catalyst for Esterification of Free Fatty Acids to Methyl Esters显示文摘The esterification of lauric acid with methanol could be efficiently catalyzed by ZrOCl2·8H2O, and this reaction was studied to develop a green method for biodiesel production. The influencing factors, such as amount of catalyst, reaction time and molar ratio of acid to methanol, were investigated. The results indicated that the ZrOCl2·8H2O catalyst showed high catalytic activity, and gave a 97.0% methyl laurate conversion rate under the following optimized conditions, viz.: a lauric acid/methanol molar ratio of 1:10, a catalyst dosage of 4%, and a reaction duration of 2 h at methanol refluxing temperature. The catalyst could be easily recovered while its activity could be well retained after three cycles. The ZrOCl2·8H2O catalyst also exhibited excellent catalytic activity for the esterification of different free long-chain fatty acids(including nonedible oils with high acid value) with different short carbon chain alcohols. 3A multicenter retrospective cohort study of ketogenic diet therapy in 481 children with infantile spasms显示文摘Background:Ketogenic diet(KD)therapy is one of the main treatments for drug-resistant epilepsy.However,the KD therapy has been applied in only a small number of infantile spasm cases.In this large multicenter study,we investigated the efficacy of KD therapy in the treatment of infantile spasms.Methods:In this retrospective,multicenter cohort study,clinical data from main epilepsy centers were analyzed.Patients were classified into different groups according to age,type of drug and whether glucocorticoid was used before initiation of KD.Results:From October 2014 to March 2020,481 patients(308 males and 173 females)with infantile spasms were treated with the KD therapy.The age of the patients ranged from 2 months to 20 years,with a mean age of 1 year and 10 months.The number of anti-seizure medications(ASMs)used before KD initiation ranged 0-6,with a median of 3.In different time from initiation(1,3,6,and 12 months),the rates of seizure freedom after KD were 6.9,11.6;16.0 and 16.8%,respectively(x^(2)=27.1772,P<0.0001).There was a significant difference in the rate of seizure freedom between 3 months and 1 month(x^(2)=6.5498,P=0.0105)groups,and 6 months and 3 months(x^(2)=3.8478,P=0.0498)groups,but not between 12 months and 6 months(x^(2)=0.1212,P=0.7278)groups.The rates of effectiveness were 44.7;62.8,49.1 and 32.0%(x^(2)=93.2674,P<0.0001),respectively.The retention rates were 94.0,82.5,55.7 and 33.1%(x^(2)=483.7551,P<0.0001),correspondingly.The rate of effectiveness and the retention rate of KD were significantly different among the 1,3,6 and 12 months.KD treatment was the first choice in 25 patients(5.2%),55 patients(11.4%)started KD after the failure of the first ASM,158 patients(32.8%)started KD after the failure of the second ASM,157 patients(32.6%)started KD after the failure of the third drug,and 86 patients(17.9%)started KD after the failure of the fourth and more.The KD effect was not related to the number of ASMs used before KD startup(P>0.05).Two hundred and eighteen patients(45.3%)failed to respond to corticotropin or glucocorticoid before initiation.There was no significant difference in the effectiveness rate at different time points between the group of KD therapy after glucocorticoid failure and the group after non-hormone failure (x^(2)=0.8613,P=0.8348).The rate of adverse events of KD in 1,3,6,and 12 months after KD initiation were 22.3,21.7,16.8 and 6.9%,respectively.The adverse events mainly occurred during the first 3 months of KD,and the main adverse events were gastrointestinal disturbance and constipation.Conclusions:The efficacy of the KD treatment for infantile spasms was not affected by age,medication,and glucocorticoid use before initiation.KD is one of the effective treatments for infantile spasms.Yuanzhen Ye Dan Sun Hua Li Jianmin Zhong Rong Luo Baomin Li Dengna Zhu Dan Li Shaoping Huang Yuwu Jiang Nong Xiao Yucai Chen Yuqin Zhang Mei Yu Xiaoyun Shen Li Gao Guo Zheng Congmin Zhao Baoqiang Yuan Jianxiang Liao Jiong Qin CAAE KD group 2022Acta Epileptologica2022,5,1:2

6Synergistic effect of polyoxometalate solution and TiO_2 under UV irradiation to catalyze formic acid degradation and their application in the fuel cell and hydrogen evolution显示文摘The synergistic effect of H_3PMo_(12)O_(40) or H_3PW_(12)O_(40) polyoxometalate solution(POM) and TiO_2 to catalyze formic acid oxidation was investigated. Under UV irradiation, hole and electron were photogenerated by TiO_2. Formic acid was oxided by the photogenerated hole and photogenerated electron was transferred to reduce polyoxometalate. With this design, formic acid can be converted into electricity in the fuel cell and hydrogen can be generated in the electrolysis cell without noble metal catalyst. Unlike other noble metal catalysts applied in the fuel cells and electrolysis cell, POM and TiO_2 are stable and low cost. The maximum output power density of liquid formic acid fuel cell after 12 h UV irradiation is 5.21 mW/cm^2 for phosphmolybdic acid and 22.81 m W/cm^2 for phosphotungstic acid respectively. 8Induction of human β-defensin-2 in airway epithelial cells by Streptococcus pneumoniae:involvement of IP3-dependent intracellular calcium release and NF-jB显示文摘Human β-definsin-2(hBD-2)is mainly induced by bacterial factors and pro-inflammation mediators in epithelial cells.As the major cause of community-acquired pneumonia,whether Streptococcus pneumoniae(S.pneumoniae)stimulation induces hBD-2 expression in airway epithelial cells is elusive.In this study,we found that S.pneumoniae stimulation induced hBD-2 expression in a time-and concentration-dependent manner in primary human airway epithelial cells.To further reveal the mechanism of S.pneumoniae inducing hBD-2,we found that S.pneumoniae stimulation activated NF-jB signaling pathway.Specific NF-jB inhibitor,PDTC,could reverse the induction of hBD-2 by S.pneumoniae.We also found that cellular inner Ca2+ signaling is involved in the S.pneumoniae-induced hBD-2.Taken together,our findings indicated that S.pneumoniae can stimulate the expression of hBD-2 in airway epithelial cells and NF-jB and inositol triphosphate-dependent intracellular calcium release is involved in this induction.Wei Liao Yan Wang Fang Zhang Congmin Zhao 2014Chinese Science Bulletin2014,59,16:1

10Surface modification of MoS_(2) nanosheets by single Ni atom for ultrasensitive dopamine detection显示文摘Single atom catalysts have been recognized as potential catalysts to fabricate electrochemical biosensors,due to their unexpected catalytic selectivity and activity.Here,we designed and fabricated an ultrasensitive dopamine(DA)sensor based on the flower-like MoS_(2) embellished with single Ni site catalyst(Ni-MoS_(2)).The limit of detection could achieve 1 pM in phosphate buffer solution(PBS,pH=7.4),1 pM in bovine serum(pH=7.4),and 100 pM in artificial urine(pH=6.8).The excellent sensing performance was attributed to the Ni single atom axial anchoring on the Mo atom in the MoS_(2) basal plane with the Ni-S_(3) structure.Both the experiment and density functional theory(DFT)results certify that this structural feature is more favorable for the adsorption and electron transfer of DA on Ni atoms.The high proportion of Ni active sites on MoS_(2) basal plane effectively enhanced the intrinsic electronic conductivity and electrochemical activity toward DA.The successful establishment of this sensor gives a new guide to expand the field of single atom catalyst in the application of biosensors.Xuejiao Sun Cai Chen Can Xiong Congmin Zhang Xusheng Zheng Jin Wang Xiaoping Gao Zhen-Qiang Yu Yuen Wu 2023Nano Research2023,16,1:0
11Effect of calcination temperature on B-site vacancy content of La0.75Sr0.25Mn0.92△0.08O3-δperovskite显示文摘Lanthanum manganite with cation vacancies from nominal La_(0.75)Sr_(0.25)Mn_(0.92)△_(0.08)O_(3-δ) nanocrystalline powder was successfully prepared at different calcination temperatures using the sol-gel method. X-ray diffraction shows that as the calcination temperature(T_(Cal)) increases, the crystal particle diameter increases, but the B-site vacancy content decreases. According to a powder diffraction profile fitting technique and transmission electron microscopy results, the vacancy content can be estimated as 0.08,0.01, and 0.005 for T_(Cal) = 1073,1273, and 1473 K, respectively. Magnetization versus temperature curves show that the magnetic transition temperatures, including the Curie temperature, are influenced by both B-site vacancies and double-exchange interaction between Mn^(3+) and Mn^(4+) cations. A core-shell model is proposed for vacancies located on the surfaces of the crystal particles. 13Flow fuel cell powered by combustible agricultural waste显示文摘Combustible agricultural waste is a potential source of energy because of its high organic content and heating value.As China’s economy develops,energy demand increases while environmental protection becomes more stringent.These competing demands make it urgent to find environmentally acceptable ways to extract energy from agricultural wastes.In this study,a liquid catalyst flow fuel cell(FFC)directly powered by combustible agricultural waste is investigated.This type of flow fuel cell can directly convert combustible agricultural waste at atmospheric pressure to electricity at 80-150℃and it is environmentally friendly.Polyoxometalates act as catalysts and charge carriers to drive the FFC.Wheat straw and wine residues were used to represent the main components of combustible agricultural waste.Experiment results indicated that the power density reached as high as 111 mW/cm^(2),hundreds of times higher than the output of a microbial cell.Congmin Liu Zhe Zhang Wei Liu Dong Xu Hua Guo Guangli He Xianming Li Yulin Deng 2018Clean Energy2018,2,1:0
