2PhaseⅡstudy of induction chemotherapy followed by concurrent chemoradiotherapy with raltitrexed and cisplatin in locally advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma显示文摘Objective:For locally advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma(LA-NPC)patients,high incidences of distant metastases and severe treatment related toxicities are the main obstacles needed to be overcome.Raltitrexed,a specific thymidylate synthase inhibitor with a convenient administration schedule,has an acceptable and manageable toxicity,and possesses radio-sensitizing properties.To investigate the efficacy and safety of raltitrexed and cisplatin induction chemotherapy and concurrent chemoradiotherapy(IC+CCRT)in patients with LA-NPC,a phaseⅡclinical study was conducted.Methods:Sixty eligible patients with LA-NPC were enrolled into this study.A raltitrexed-cisplatin combination was used as part of an IC+CCRT regimen.Raltitrexed-cisplatin IC was given once every 3 weeks(q3 w)for two cycles,followed by raltitrexed-cisplatin based CCRT q3 w for two cycles.Intensity-modulated radiotherapy(IMRT)was given for all enrolled patients.Results:All patients were included in survival analysis according to the intent-to-treat principle.The objective response rate(ORR)3 months after treatment was 98%.The 2-year overall survival(OS)rate was 92%.The median relapse-free survival(RFS)time was 30.5[95%confidence interval(95%CI),28.4-32.3]months.The 2-year RFS rate was 85%.The 2-year local failure-free survival(LFFS)rate was 97%and the 2-year distant metastasis-free survival(DMFS)rate was 88%.Acute toxicities were mostly grade 2 and 3 reactions in bone marrow suppression,gastrointestinal side effect and oropharyngeal mucositis.Only two patients occurred grade 4 acute toxicities,one was bone marrow suppression and the other was dermatitis radiation.Conclusions:The combination of raltitrexed and cisplatin has a comparable efficacy to those in standard firstline therapy.Yuan Wu Xueyan Wei Zilong Yuan Hongbin Xu Yanping Li Ying Li Liu Hu Guang Han Yu Qian Desheng Hu 2020Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2020,32,5:4
3Ionospheric polarization electric field guiding magnetopause reconnection: A conceptual model of throat aurora显示文摘Frequently observed throat auroras have been suggested to be correspondent to indentations on the subsolar magnetopause,but how these indentations can be generated is unknown yet.Based on analyzing the detailed observational features of throat aurora,a conceptual model for generation of throat aurora is proposed.This model suggests that precipitation of a north-south aligned stripy diffuse aurora can lead to an ionospheric conductivity enhancement and thus produce a polarization electric field in dusk-to-dawn direction in the ionosphere.After mapping to the magnetosphere along closed field lines,this electric field can guide a magnetopause reconnection to develop inward the magnetosphere and result in a throat aurora.Because this model can comprehensively explain all the observational results that have been presented up to now,we argue that the assumption of ionospheric polarization electric field affecting magnetopause reconnection should be true and be worthy of further investigations.Desheng HAN 2019Science China Earth Sciences2019,62,12:3
4Study on Commercial Application of FP-DSN Sulfur Transfer Additive in FCC Unit显示文摘The FCC unit with addition of various inventories of the FP-DSN type sulfur transfer additive was tested in a commercial scale. The effect of the sulfur transfer additive was analyzed by investigating the indicators related with the regenerator flue gas composition,the dry gas composition before desulfurization,the LPG composition before desulfurization,the acid gas,and the yield of gasoline and diesel. 5Optical and SuperDARN radar observations of duskside shock aurora over Zhongshan Station显示文摘We present observations of a duskside shock aurora occurred on 21 April 2001 by the SuperDARN radar at Syowa Station and the all-sky camera at Zhongshan Station (ZHS) in Antarctica when the radar was operated in fast-scan mode covering the ZHS region. With the two independent data sets, we examine ionospheric plasma convection and aurora arising from a sudden impulse (SI) event associated with an interplanetary shock. During the transient shock compression, the aurora was quiescent without any optical emission at the preliminary impulse of the SI. About 7 min later, a new thin auroral arc with brighter emissions and a lifetime of~14 min expanded westward from the region above ZHS during the main impulse of the SI. SuperDARN radar line-of-sight measurements showed periodical oscillation in the flow direction with ultra-low-frequency waves having a period of~8 min during the shock compression. We suggest that downward field-aligned current during the preliminary impulse stage of the SI was the main driver of the first plasma flow reversal, and the subsequent new discrete auroral arc may be associated with field-aligned acceleration in the region of the main impulse related upward field-aligned currents. 6Progress and prospects of carbon dioxide capture,EOR-utilization and storage industrialization显示文摘Carbon dioxide capture,EOR-utilization and storage(CCUS-EOR)are the most practical and feasible large-scale carbon reduction technologies,and also the key technologies to greatly improve the recovery of low-permeability oil fields.This paper sorts out the main course of CCUS-EOR technological development abroad and its industrialization progress.The progress of CCUS-EOR technological research and field tests in China are summarized,the development status,problems and challenges of the entire industry chain of CO_(2) capture,transportation,oil displacement,and storage are analyzed.The results show a huge potential of the large-scale application of CCUS-EOR in China in terms of carbon emission reduction and oil production increase.At present,CCUS-EOR in China is in a critical stage of development,from field pilot tests to industrialization.Aiming at the feature of continental sedimentary oil and gas reservoirs in China,and giving full play to the advantages of the abundant reserves for CO_(2) flooding,huge underground storage space,surface infrastructure,and wide distribution of wellbore injection channels,by cooperating with carbon emission enterprises,critical technological research and demonstration project construction should be accelerated,including the capture of low-concentration CO_(2) at low-cost and on large-scale,supercritical CO_(2) long-distance transportation,greatly enhancing oil recovery and storage rate,and CO_(2) large-scale and safe storage.CCUS-EOR theoretical and technical standard system should be constructed for the whole industrial chain to support and promote the industrial scale application,leading the rapid and profitable development of CCUS-EOR emerging industrial chain with innovation.YUAN Shiyi MA Desheng LI Junshi ZHOU Tiyao JI Zemin HAN Haishui 2022Petroleum Exploration and Development2022,49,4:2

8Simultaneous optical and radar observations of poleward moving auroral forms under different IMF conditions显示文摘Using high temporal resolution optical data obtained from three-wavelength all-sky imagers at Chinese Yellow River Station in the Arctic, together with the EISCAT Svalbard radar (ESR) and SuperDARN radars, we investigated the dayside poleward moving auroral forms (PMAFs) and the associated plasma features in the polar ionosphere under different interplanetary magnetic field (IMF) conditions, between 0900 and 1010 UT on 22 December 2003. Simultaneous optical and ESR observations revealed that all PMAFs were clearly associated with pulsed particle precipitations. During northward IMF, particles can precipitate into lower altitudes and reach the ionospheric E-region, and there is a reverse convection cell associated with these PMAFs. This cell is one of the typical signatures of the dayside high-latitude (lobe) reconnection in the polar ionosphere. These results indicate that the PMAFs were associated with the high-latitude reconnection. 9Dayside poleward moving auroral forms and ionospheric convection under stable interplanetary magnetic field (IMF) conditions显示文摘Using high temporal resolution optical data obtained from three-wavelength all-sky imagers over six winters continuously at Yellow River Station (78.92°N,11.93°E) in Arctic,we statistically investigated the dependence of location of poleward moving auroral forms (PMAFs) on the interplanetary magnetic field (IMF) B z and B y components as a function of MLT and MLAT under stable IMF conditions.It is found that more PMAFs occurred in lower latitude for Bz<0 and there was less evident IMF B y-related prenoon-postnoon asymmetry for Bz<0 than for Bz>0.We found that the PMAFs were distributed over a wide range of MLT when Bz<0,which indicates that the reconnection X-line might spread like an 'S' shape.However,during northward IMF,PMAFs were observed predominantly prenoon for IMF By>0 and postnoon for IMF By<0 associating with the effect of the high-latitude reconnection,which is largely consistent with the theoretical model of the convection flow.XING ZanYang YANG HuiGen HAN DeSheng WU ZhenSen LIU JunMing HU ZeJun ZHANG QingHe HU HongQiao LIU YongHua 2013Science China(Technological Sciences)2013,56,4:2
10Interplanetary shock-associated aurora显示文摘Interplanetary shocks or solar wind pressure pulses have prompted impacts on Earth's magnetospheric and ionospheric environment, especially in causing dynamic changes to the bright aurora in the polar ionosphere. The auroral phenomenon associated with shock impingements, referred to as shock aurora, exhibits distinct signatures differing from other geophysical features on the dayside polar ionosphere. Shock aurora provides a direct manifestation of the solar wind–magnetosphere–ionosphere interaction. Imagers onboard satellites can obtain the associated large-scale auroral characteristics during shock impingement on the magnetopause. Therefore, auroral data from satellites are very useful for surveying the comprehensive features of shock aurora and their general evolution. Nonetheless, the ground-based high temporal-spatial resolution all-sky imagers installed at scientific stations play an essential role in revealing medium-and small-scale characteristics of shock aurora. 19Throat aurora observed by DMSP/SSUSI in a global view显示文摘Throat aurora was defined based on the ground observations near local noon and has been suggested to be the ground signature of an indentation on the subsolar magnetopause.A global view of the auroral oval with throat aurora will be critical for inferring global processes at the magnetopause,but it has never been achieved.Using imaging spectrograph observations from Defense Meteorological Satellite Program satellites,for the first time,here we show typical throat auroras in a global view and reveal some important observational facts as follows.(1)The throat auroras can be as long as^8 degrees in latitudinal direction,which is hardly to be fully seen in the ground-based camera.(2)The plasma flows and field aligned currents associated with throat aurora show consistences with previous radar observations,which have been suggested to be the observational evidence of magnetopause reconnection.(3)Most importantly,we confirmed that the electron and ion precipitations associated with throat aurora are always spatially separated,i.e.,electrons in the east and ions in the west.The observational results not only establish a new picture of the aurora oval near local noon,but also provide important support to a conceptual model of throat aurora.Su ZHOU Desheng HAN Sneha AGOKANI Ravindran SELVAKUMARAN Yongliang ZHANG 2020Science China Earth Sciences2020,63,6:1
20Effect of interplanetary shock on an ongoing substorm:Simultaneous satellite-ground auroral observations显示文摘Substorm processes have been studied in detail,and it is well known that interplanetary(IP)shock encountering the terrestrial magnetosphere causes global responses.However,how IP shock compression to the magnetosphere affects the development of an ongoing substorm remains uninvestigated.Herein,the simultaneous satellite and ground-based auroral evolutions associated with an IP shock impact on the magnetopause during an ongoing substorm on May 7th,2005,were examined.The IMAGE satellite over the Southern Hemisphere captured the global development substorm,which was initiated at 17:38:47 UT.The poleward branch of the nightside auroral oval was fortuitously monitored by an all-sky camera at the Zhongshan Station(-74.5°magnetic latitude,ZHO)in Antarctica.The satellite imager observed continuous brightening and broadening of the nightside auroral oval after the IP shock arrival.The simultaneous ground-based optical aurora measurement displayed the intensification and expansion of a preexisting auroral surge poleward of the aurora oval.The geomagnetic field variations and the instantly increased PC indices indicated an elevated merging rate and enhanced the convection-related DP-2 currents.Therefore,this IP shock transient impact did not significantly change the ongoing development of the substorm,although it meets the magnetospheric precondition hypothesis.LIU JianJun CHEN XiangCai WANG ZhiQiang HU ZeJun ZHAO XingXin HU HongQiao HAN DeSheng LUI A.T.Y 2023Science China(Technological Sciences)2023,66,3:1
