| 1 | Baicalin influences the dendritic morphology of newborn neurons in the hippocampus of chronically stressed rats显示文摘Chronic stress models,established in adult Sprague-Dawley rats through a 14-day subcutaneous injection of 40 mg/kg corticosterone,once per day,were given a daily oral feeding of 50 mg/kg baicalin.The study was an attempt to observe the effect of baicalin on neurogenesis in chronically stressed rats.Results showed that subcutaneous injection of corticosterone significantly decreased the total number of doublecortin-positive neurons in the hippocampus.The reduced cell Ⅰ number caused by corticosterone was mainly due to the decrease of class Ⅱ doublecortin-positive neurons,but the class doublecortin-positive neurons were unaffected.Baicalin treatment increased the number of both class Ⅰ and class Ⅱ doublecortin-positive neurons.In addition,doublecortin-positive neurons showed less complexity in dendritic morphology after corticosterone injection,and this change was totally reversed by baicalin treatment.These findings suggest that baicalin exhibits a beneficial effect on adult neurogenesis. | Xinghua Jiang Junmei Xu Dingquan Zou Lin Yang Yaping Wang | 2013 | Neural Regeneration Research2013,8,6: | 6 |
| 2 | Dynamic regulation of plasmodesmatal permeability and its application to horticultural research显示文摘Effective cell-to-cell communication allows plants to fine-tune their developmental processes in accordance with the prevailing environmental stimuli.Plasmodesmata(PD)are intercellular channels that span the plant cell wall and serve as cytoplasmic bridges to facilitate efficient exchange of signaling molecules between neighboring cells.The identification of PD-associated proteins and the subsequent elucidation of the regulation of PD structure have provided vital insights into the role of PD architecture in enforcing crucial cellular processes,including callose deposition,ER–Golgi-based secretion,cytoskeleton dynamics,membrane lipid raft organization,chloroplast metabolism,and cell wall formation.In this review,we summarize the emerging discoveries from recent studies that elucidated the regulatory mechanisms involved in PD biogenesis and the dynamics of PD opening-closure.Retrospectively,PDmediated cell-to-cell communication has been implicated in diverse cellular and physiological processes that are fundamental for the development of horticultural plants.The potential application of PD biotechnological engineering represents a powerful approach for improving agronomic traits in horticultural crops in the future. | Yanbiao Sun Dingquan Huang Xu Chen | 2019 | Horticulture Research2019,6,1: | 4 |
| 3 | Synthesis and Electrical Properties of Li-modified Bi_(0.5)Na_(0.5)TiO_3-BaTiO_3 Lead-free Piezoelectric Ceramics显示文摘Lead-free piezoelectric ceramics (1-y)Bi0.5(Na1-xLix)0.5TiO3-yBaTiO3 with x=0-0.125 and y=0.02-0.12 were fabricated by a solid-state reaction process, and their dielectric, piezoelectric and ferroelectric properties were investigated. The results show that the addition of Li+ significantly improves the sintering performance and piezoelectric properties of the ceramics. X-ray diffraction (XRD) patterns indicate that the ceramics possess pure perovskite structure. At room temperature, the ceramics provide high piezoelectric charge constant d33 (up to 210 pC/N), high planar electromechanical coupling factor kp (34.5%), large remanent polarization Pr (up to 40 μC/cm2), and low coercive field Ec (3.0 kV/mm), which indicates that (1-y)Bi0.5(Na1-xLix)0.5TiO3-yBaTiO3 is a good lead-free piezoelectric ceramic. | Yunweu Liao Dingquan Xiao | 2009 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2009,25,6: | 3 |
| 4 | Oxygen octahedron tilting,electrical properties and mechanical behaviors in alkali niobate-based lead-free piezoelectric ceramics显示文摘In this work,we present a new piezoelectric solid solution consisting of two typical alkali niobate-based materials,K_(0.5)Na_(0.5)NbO_(3)(KNN)and Li_(0.15)Na_(0.85)NbO_(3)(LNN).Although KNN and LNN have the same perovskite structure,they exhibit extremely different electrical properties and mechanical behaviors.The phase structures,electrical and mechanical evolutions of the new lead-free piezoelectric materials with different ratios of KNN and LNN are comprehensively and theoretically investigated.According to the Xray diffraction patterns and curves of permittivity versus temperature,a series of complicated phase transitions can be found with varied LNN content.Rietveld refinement results based on XRD patterns reveal an oxygen octahedron tilting in the LNN-rich crystal structure,and simultaneously the reasons for octahedron tilting are discussed.The distorted crystal structure is accompanied by extremely decreased electric properties but increased mechanical properties,which reveals electrical and mechanical properties of alkali niobate-based piezoelectric ceramics strongly depend on their inner structures,and the enhancement of intrinsic hardness results in the deterioration of piezoelectric properties.Our work exhibits the detailed evolutions of structure,electrical and mechanical properties from KNN to LNN,which provides experimental and theoretical basis for development of new alkali niobate-based piezoelectric materials. | Zhi Tan Shaoxiong Xie Laiming Jiang Jie Xing Yu Chen Jianguo Zhu Dingquan Xiao Qingyuan Wang | 2019 | Journal of Materiomics2019,5,3: | 3 |
| 5 | Nanopumping Molecules via a Carbon Nanotube显示文摘We demonstrate the feasibility of using a carbon nanotube to nanopump molecules.Molecular dynamics simulations show that the transport and ejection of a C20 molecule via a single-walled carbon nanotube(SWNT)can be achieved by a sustained mechanical actuation driven by two oscillating tips.The optimal condition for nanopumping is found when the tip oscillation frequency and magnitude correlate to form quasi steady-state mechanical wave propagation in the SWNT,so that the energy transfer process is optimal leading to maximal molecular translational motion and minimal rotational motion.Our finding provides a potentially useful mechanism for using an SWNT as a vehicle to deliver large drug molecules. | Min Chen Ji Zang Dingquan Xiao CZhang Feng Liu | 2009 | Nano Research2009,2,12: | 3 |
| 6 | Potassium sodium niobate based lead-free ceramic for high-frequency ultrasound transducer applications显示文摘The BiAlO_(3)(BA)and(Bi_(0.5)Na_(0.5))ZrO_(3)(BNZ)are selected to form a solid solution with(K_(0.48)Na_(0.52))NbO_(3) via traditional solid state technique to optimize the electrical performance and temperature stability of KNNbased lead-free ceramics,simultaneously.Here we show that doped BA has a great influence on phase structure,morphologies,and electrical properties.The XRD patterns and dielectric constant versus temperature curves reveal that an increase in the BA content results in a transform of phase structures from a coexistence state of rhombohedral,orthorhombic and tetragonal phases to pseudocubic phase.Owing to the construction of R-O-T phase boundary,optimized performances(T_(C)~336℃,d_(33)~306 pC/N,kp=0.48)are obtained in 0.962(K_(0.48)Na_(0.52))NbO_(3)-0.003BiAlO_(3)-0.035(Bi_(0.5)Na_(0.5))ZrO_(3)(KNN-3)ceramics.Based on the sintered KNN-3 ceramic samples,high-frequency ultrasound imaging transducers are designed and fabricated,which exhibits a high center frequency of 24.5 MHz,a broad -6 dB bandwidth of 97% and a high-sensitivity.Finally,the imaging characteristic of the lead-free transducers is demonstrated via ex vivo imaging of biological tissue structure.As environment friendly materials,the excellent electrical and acoustic performance of developed KNN-based ceramics has great potential for practical applications. | Jie Xing Laiming Jiang Chunlin Zhao Zhi Tan Qian Xu Jiagang Wu Qiang Chen Dingquan Xiao Jianguo Zhu | 2020 | Journal of Materiomics2020,6,3: | 3 |
| 7 | Effect of La and Co-doping on microstructure and electrical properties of Bi FeO_3 thin films显示文摘Adding both La3+and Co3+was used to tune the microstructure and electrical properties of Bi Fe O3(BFO) thin films, and Bi1-xLaxFe0.90Co0.10O3 thin films were grown on the Sr Ru O3-buffered Pt-coated silicon substrates by a radio frequency sputtering. A polycrystalline structure with(110) orientation was shown in thin films, and their resistivity dramatically increases as the La3+content increases. Their dielectric constant increases,and dielectric loss decreases with increasing La3+content.In addition, their ferroelectric and fatigue properties were enhanced with rising La3+content. The thin films with x = 0.03 have optimum electrical properties(e.g., remanent polarization 2Pr* 175.6 l C/cm2, coercive field2Ec* 699.5 k V/mm, dielectric constant er* 257 and tan d * 0.038), together with a good fatigue behavior. The impendence analysis of the films was conducted to identify the defects type during conductivity, and both hopping electrons and single-charged oxygen vacancies are mainly responsible for the conduction of grain and grain boundaries regardless of La3+content. Since VQA has gained much attention in recent years, this paper gives an up-to-date review of VQA research and highlights current challenges in this filed. The subjective study and common VQA databases are first reviewed.Then, a survey on the objective VQA methods, including full-reference, reduced-reference,and no-reference VQA, is reported.
