| 4 | Global and communicative development skills in preschool children with cleft lip and palate显示文摘Importance:Cleft lip and palate(CLP)is globally among the most common childhood malformations.This disorder impacts childhood development,including speech and language,and affects children worldwide.Objective:To analyze child development skills(adaptive fine motor,gross motor,personal-social,and language)in preschool children with isolated CLP compared with children without this malformation.Methods:The participants included an experimental group of 27 children with isolated CLP and a comparison group of 27 children without CLP aged between 48 and 59 months.The groups were evaluated using two instruments:the Denver Developmental Screening Test II(DDST-II)and the Avaliapao do Desenvolvimento da Linguagem(ADL-Language Development Assessment).Data were analyzed by descriptive and inductive analyses,using the Student’s Mest and the Mann-Whitney test,at a significance level of P<0.05.Results:All children in the comparison group performed within normal standards for their age range in the DDST-II and the ADL.The worst performance in the experimental group was observed in language skills,followed,in declining order,by adaptive fine motor,personal-social,and gross motor as measured by the DDST-II.Children with isolated CLP also performed poorly in receptive,expressive,and global language in the ADL.No statistically significant differences were observed in the experimental group’s scores for the ADL and the DDST-II.Interpretation:Developmental skill levels were below expectations for children of this age with isolated CLP. | Mayalle Rocha Bonfim Jurado Maria Gabriela Cavalheiro Camila de Castro Correa Melina Evangelista Whitaker Simone Rocha de Vasconcelos Hage Dionisia Aparecida Cusin Lamonica Luciana Paula Maximino | 2021 | Pediatric Investigation2021，5，1： | 1 |

| 7 | Physiological Maturity of Corn Seeds(Zea mays)by Tetrazolium Salt显示文摘The purpose of this study was to evaluate the relationship of tetrazolium salt testing to common indicators(milk line,black layer,dry matter)used to determine corn seed physiological maturity.The seeds used were the hybrids Pioneer 4285 and Dow 2B587.These hybrids were harvested 40 days after polinization(DAP),with 4-day intervals until 68 DAP.The harvested seeds were evaluated for viability and vigor(germination test,accelerated aging test and cold test).The parameters used to determine the physiological seed’s maturity were the black layer,the milk line,the seed dry matter,seed water content and the evaluation of seed tissues using the tetrazolium salt to evaluate the endosperm cells.The germination of both materials was greater than 95%and there was no difference between harvest times.Corn seed physiological maturity(PM)was identified at 56 DAP for P4285(F2)and between 48 and 56 DAP for 2B587(F2).The maximum vigor was detected by accelerated aging tests and cold tests before PM for the two genotypes.The activity of endosperm cells is related to the other PM indicators(milk line,black layer,dry matter and water content).The transport of nutrients from plant to the seed ceases at seed physiological maturity.Use of tetrazolium salt allows identifying cell death of the basal region and this parameter corresponds to the others evaluated,thus demonstrating that the tetrazolium salt is effective for corn seed physiological maturity characterization. | Luiz Felipe Nicoleti Torrezan Ana Dionisia da Luz Coelho Novembre | 2018 | Journal of Food Science and Engineering2018，8，6： | 0 |
