1Theoretical research on construction quality real-time monitoring and system integration of core rockfill dam显示文摘With the enlargement of core rockfill dam construction scale and the improvement of construction mechanization level, the traditional manual construction quality control method is now difficult to meet the quality and safety demands of modern dam construction, so automatic and real-time dam construction quality monitoring with high-techs is urgently needed. 2Real-time compaction quality monitoring of high core rockfill dam显示文摘The conventional quality control method of core rockfill dam construction exhibit difficulty controlling compaction parameters accurately or ensuring construction quality. This is because it is easily influenced by human behavior or lack of adequate management. We therefore establish the timely monitoring indexes and control criteria of compaction processes by considering the characteristics and quality requirements of high core rockfill dam construction. Based on the established indexes and criteria, integrating GPS, GPRS and PDA technologies, a real-time compaction quality monitoring method is proposed. The relevant key techniques are proposed as well, including automatic collection of information and a graphic algorithm for rolling-process visualization. By the proposed method and techniques, a real-time monitoring system is provided to realize the precise automatic online entire-process monitoring of compaction parameters, including compaction pass, rolling trajectory, running speed of roller, vibration status and rolled pavement thickness. The application of the Nuozhadu project shows that the proposed system can control compaction parameters effectively and ensure better construction quality. 3Mesoscale Dynamics and Its Application in Torrential Rainfall Systems in China显示文摘Progress over the past decade in understanding moisture-driven dynamics and torrential rain storms in China is reviewed in this paper. First, advances in incorporating moisture effects more realistically into theory are described, including the development of a new parameter, generalized moist potential vorticity(GMPV) and an improved moist ageostrophic Q vector(Qum). Advances in vorticity dynamics are also described, including the adoption of a 'parcel dynamic' approach to investigate the development of the vertical vorticity of an air parcel; a novel theory of slantwise vorticity development, proposed because vorticity develops easily near steep isentropic surfaces; and the development of the convective vorticity vector(CVV)as an effective new tool. The significant progress in both frontal dynamics and wave dynamics is also summarized, including the geostrophic adjustment of initial unbalanced flow and the dual role of boundary layer friction in frontogenesis, as well as the interaction between topography and fronts, which indicate that topographic perturbations alter both frontogenesis and frontal structure. For atmospheric vortices, mixed wave/vortex dynamics has been extended to explain the propagation of spiral rainbands and the development of dynamical instability in tropical cyclones. 4Improving sludge dewaterability via Fe^(2+) chelated citrate activated peroxydisulfate oxidation显示文摘Citrate (Ct) was chosen as a typical chelator used in the Fe^(2+)-peroxydisulfate (PDS) process to improve sludge dewaterability.The PDS-Fe^(2+)-Ct process exhibited better performance in sludge dewatering than PDS-Fe^(2+).Specifically,with a PDS dosage of 1.2 mmol/g VS,the molar ratio of PDS/Fe^(2+)and Ct/Fe^(2+)were 4:5 and 1:4,respectively,the capillary suction time decreased from 155.8 to 24.8sec,and the sludge cake water content decreased from 82.62%to 64.11%(-0.06MPa).The oxidation led to a reduced negative charge and a decrease in particle size.The enhanced sludge dewaterability and changes of sludge properties were attributed to the decomposition of extracellular polymeric substances,and it was explored by protein,polysaccharide,3D-EEMs,and FT-IR.Additionally,the quenching experiments of radical species demonstrated that SO_(4)-·played a more important role than·OH,and its productivity was improved with the addition of Ct.Moreover,the reasons for the improved productivity of radicals with the addition of Ct were discussed.The results of this study could serve as a basis for improving sludge dewatering using the PDS-Fe^(2+)-Ct process and suggest that the addition of Ct may improve the productivity of SO_(4)-·in the activation o PDS via Fe^(2+).Donghai Yuan Xinyu Li Siyu Xiong Jun Cui Jijiao Zhou Yingying Kou 2023Journal of Environmental Sciences2023,,3:0
5Effects of natural forest conversion and plantation tree species composition on soil macrofauna communities in Northeast China mountains显示文摘As primary and secondary forests are being replaced by plantations across the globe,the soil macrofauna community structure is also affected,but little is known about the impact of mixed culture plantations compared with monocultures on the soil macrofauna.To determine the impact of forest conversion on soil macrofauna,we surveyed the soil macrofauna in two broad-leaved and three coniferous monoculture stands and four coniferous-broadleaved mixed stands,and in adjacent reserved secondary stands as a reference.Soil macro fauna community composition was significant affected by forest type,season and their interaction(P<0.05).The abundance,taxa richness and diversity of soil macro fauna changed to different degrees depending on the plantation type.Broadleaved monoculture stands and secondary stands had similar macrofauna abundance and taxa richness,but values were lower in coniferous stands than in secondary stands.The Shannon index for macrofauna in coniferous stands was also the lowest,but the Pielou index did not differ between forest types.The negative effects of the conifer monoculture on soil macro fauna were not present in the mixed stands with broad-leaved trees.Forest conversion impacted soil properties;soil moisture,NO_(3)^(-),and pH were significant drivers of soil macrofauna community structure.The impact of forest conversion on soil macrofauna was closely dependent on tree species composition and diversity.The macro fauna community structure in the broadleaved and the mixed stands were relatively similar to that in the natural forest,and thus recommended for forest conversion in the study area.Shuangjiao Ma Qingcheng Wang Yong Zhang Limei Yan Donghai Cui Liqing Xu 2023Journal of Forestry Research2023,34,5:0
6Simultaneous degradation of sulfadiazine and dissolved organic matter based on low-impact development facilities显示文摘Sulfadiazine(SD)is a common antibiotic administered to treat bacterial infections in livestock,and its fate andmigration are greatly affected by dissolved organicmatter(DOM).The soil infiltration system[a typical low-impact development(LID)facility]can significantly alterDOMproperties during runoff pollution,thus affecting the complexation of SDwithDOM.Here,the binding characteristics of different DOM components and SD in the soil infiltration system were explored using spectroscopic techniques(excitation–emission matrices,parallel factor analysis,and synchronous fluorescence spectroscopy).Combined with the weakening of DOM fluorescence intensity and 78.63%reduction in mean SD concentration following treatment,synchronous degradation may have occurred.The binding sequence of SD and DOM fluorophores was further explored using two-dimensional correlation spectroscopy.Effluent DOM showed greater sensitivity to SD and more binding sites than influent DOM.Moreover,hydrophobic protein-like substances exhibited higher log K_(M) values than other fluorescent components,indicating that protein-like components play significant roles in SD complexation.The soil percolation system improved the complexation stability and binding sequence of fulvic-like substances.Thus,SD–DOM can be intercepted and degraded using LID facilities to reduce the risk of SD in aquatic environments.Donghai Yuan Siyu Xiong Chenling Yan Linxiao Zhai Yanqi Cui Yingying Kou 2023Journal of Environmental Sciences2023,,8:0
7Overexpression of PtPEPCK1 gene promotes nitrogen metabolism in poplar显示文摘To understand the function of phosphoenolpyruvate carboxylase kinase,we introduced PtPEPCK1 gene under the control of 35S promoter into 84K poplar(Populus alba×P.glandulosa).PtPEPCK1 gene is well-known for its role in gluconeogenesis.However,our data confi rmed that it has signifi cant eff ects on amino acid biosynthesis and nitrogen metabolism.Immunohistochemistry and fl uorescence microscopy indicate that PtPEPCK1 is specifi cally expressed in the cytoplasm of the spongy and palisade tissues.Overexpression of PtPEPCK1 was characterized through transcriptomics and metabolomics.The metabolites concentration of the ornithine cycle and its precursors also increased,of which N-acetylornithine was up-regulated almost 50-fold and ornithine 33.7-fold.These were accompanied by a massive increase in levels of several amino acids.Therefore,overexpression of PtPEPCK1 increases amino acid levels with urea cycle disorder.Lina Wang Miao He Song Chen Kean Wang Donghai Cui Xin Huang Lijie Liu 2019Journal of Forestry Research2019,30,6:0
8A Chromosome-level Genome Assembly of Wild Castor Provides New Insights into Its Adaptive Evolution in Tropical Desert显示文摘Wild castor grows in the high-altitude tropical desert of the African Plateau,a region known for high ultraviolet radiation,strong light,and extremely dry condition.To investigate the potential genetic basis of adaptation to both highland and tropical deserts,we generated a chromosome-level genome sequence assembly of the wild castor accession WT05,with a genome size of 316 Mb,a scaffold N50 of 31.93 Mb,and a contig N50 of 8.96 Mb,respectively.Compared with cultivated castor and other Euphorbiaceae species,the wild castor exhibits positive selection and gene family expansion for genes involved in DNA repair,photosynthesis,and abiotic stress responses.Genetic variations associated with positive selection were identified in several key genes,such as LIG1,DDB2,and RECG1,involved in nucleotide excision repair.Moreover,a study of genomic diversity among wild and cultivated accessions revealed genomic regions containing selection signatures associated with the adaptation to extreme environments.The identification of the genes and alleles with selection signatures provides insights into the genetic mechanisms underlying the adaptation of wild castor to the high-altitude tropical desert and would facilitate direct improvement of modern castor varieties.Jianjun Lu Cheng Pan Wei Fan Wanfei Liu Huayan Zhao Donghai Li Sen Wang Lianlian Hu Bing He Kun Qian Rui Qin Jue Ruan Qiang Lin Shiyou Lü Peng Cui 2022Genomics, Proteomics & Bioinformatics2022,20,1:0
