1Nitrification characteristics of nitrobacteria immobilized in waterborne polyurethane in wastewater of corn-based ethanol fuel production显示文摘A technology to achieve stable and high ammonia nitrogen removal rates for corn distillery wastewater (ethanol fuel production) treatment has been designed.The characteristics of nitrifying bacteria entrapped in a waterborne polyurethane (WPU) gel carrier were evaluated after acclimation.In the acclimation period,nitrification rates of WPU-immobilized nitrobacteria were monitored and polymerase chain reaction (PCR) was also carried out to investigate the change in ammonium-oxidizing bacteria.The results showed that the pellet nitrification rates increased from 21 to 228 mg-N/(L-pellet·hr) and the quantity of the ammonia oxidation bacteria increased substantially during the acclimation.A continuous ammonia removal experiment with the anaerobic pond effluent of a distillery wastewater system was conducted with immobilized nitrifying bacteria for 30 days using an 80 L airlift reactor with pellets at a fill ratio of 15% (V/V).Under the conditions of 75 mg/L influent ammonia,hydraulic retention time (HRT) of 3.7-5.6 hr,and dissolved oxygen (DO) of 4 mg/L,the effluent ammonia concentration was lower than 10 mg/L and the ammonia removal efficiency was 90%.While the highest ammonia removal rate,162 mg-N/(L-pellet·hr),was observed when the HRT was 1.3 hr.Yamei Dong Zhenjia Zhang Yongwei Jin Jian Lut Xuehang Cheng Jun Li Yan-yan Deng Ya-nan Feng Dongning Chen 2012Journal of Environmental Sciences2012,24,6:14
2Dynamic Topology Multi Force Particle Swarm Optimization Algorithm and Its Application显示文摘Particle swarm optimization(PSO) algorithm is an effective bio-inspired algorithm but it has shortage of premature convergence. Researchers have made some improvements especially in force rules and population topologies. However, the current algorithms only consider a single kind of force rules and lack consideration of comprehensive improvement in both multi force rules and population topologies. In this paper, a dynamic topology multi force particle swarm optimization(DTMFPSO) algorithm is proposed in order to get better search performance. First of all, the principle of the presented multi force particle swarm optimization(MFPSO) algorithm is that different force rules are used in different search stages, which can balance the ability of global and local search. Secondly, a fitness-driven edge-changing(FE) topology based on the probability selection mechanism of roulette method is designed to cut and add edges between the particles, and the DTMFPSO algorithm is proposed by combining the FE topology with the MFPSO algorithm through concurrent evolution of both algorithm and structure in order to further improve the search accuracy. Thirdly, Benchmark functions are employed to evaluate the performance of the DTMFPSO algorithm, and test results show that the proposed algorithm is better than the well-known PSO algorithms, such as μPSO, MPSO, and EPSO algorithms. Finally, the proposed algorithm is applied to optimize the process parameters for ultrasonic vibration cutting on Si C wafer, and the surface quality of the Si C wafer is improved by 12.8% compared with the PSO algorithm in Ref. [25]. 5The two-stage interaction of Ebola virus VP40 with nucleoprotein results in a switch from viral RNA synthesis to virion assembly/ budding显示文摘Ebola virus(EBOV)is an enveloped negative-sense RNA virus and a member of the filovirus family.Nucleoprotein(NP)expression alone leads to the formation of inclusion bodies(IBs),which are critical for viral RNA synthesis.The matrix protein,VP40,not only plays a critical role in virus assembly/budding,but also can regulate transcription and replication of the viral genome.However,the molecular mechanism by which VP40 regulates viral RNA synthesis and virion assembly/budding is unknown.Here,we show that within IBs the N-terminus of NP recruits VP40 and is required for VLP-containing NP release.Furthermore,we find four point mutations(L692A,P697A,P698A and W699A)within the C-terminal hydrophobic core of NP result in a stronger VP40–NP interaction within IBs,sequestering VP40 within IBs,reducing VP40–VLP egress,abolishing the incorporation of NC-like structures into VP40–VLP,and inhibiting viral RNA synthesis,suggesting that the interaction of N-terminus of NP with VP40 induces a conformational change in the C-terminus of NP.Consequently,the C-terminal hydrophobic core of NP is exposed and binds VP40,thereby inhibiting RNA synthesis and initiating virion assembly/budding.Linjuan Wu Dongning Jin Dan Wang Xuping Jing Peng Gong Yali Qin Mingzhou Chen 2022Protein & Cell2022,13,2:0
6ScQ cloud quantum computation for generating Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger states of up to 10 qubits显示文摘In this study, we introduce an online public quantum computation platform, named as ScQ, based on a 1D array of a 10-qubit superconducting processor. Single-qubit rotation gates can be performed on each qubit. Controlled-NOT gates between nearest-neighbor sites on the 1D array of 10 qubits are available. We show the online preparation and verification of Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger states of up to 10 qubits through this platform for all possible blocks of qubits in the chain. The graphical user interface and quantum assembly language methods are presented to achieve the above tasks, which rely on a parameter scanning feature implemented on ScQ. 7Simulation of surface displacement and strain field of the 2011 Japan Mw9. 0 earthquake显示文摘Based on dislocation theory of Okada,we adopted a finite-element fault model inverted by Gavin Hayes from seismic data for the 2011 Japan Mw9. 0 earthquake,and obtained the corresponding surface displacement and strain fields. The calculated displacement field is consistent with the observed GPS results in the trend of changes.
