| 1 | Pattern transition and sluggish cracking of colloidal droplet deposition with polymer additives显示文摘Drying of colloidal droplets often develops versatile depositions.We study the drying deposition of both colloidal droplets containing silica nanoparticles and the silica colloidal droplets with polyethylene oxide(PEO) additives.We focus on the effect of polymer additives on the deposition formation and the cracking dynamics by using in-situ microscope observation.With PEO additives,a transition from ring-like deposition to uniform deposition is observed,and the cracking dynamics is greatly reduced.The PEO additives enhance the adsorption of particles at the air-water interface,thus forming the network structure at the interface which blocks the outward capillary flow.This contributes to the uniform deposition.Meanwhile,the multi-distribution of the aggregates size enhances the non-homogeneity of the drying film and consequently results in multi-nucleation of cracks.This reduces the stress accumulation that drives the crack propagation and may be responsible for the sluggish cracking dynamics. | ZHANG YongJian LIU ZhengTang ZANG DuYang QIAN YiMeng LIN KeJun | 2013 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2013,56,9: | 2 |

| 4 | Centimeter-Deep NIR-II Fluorescence Imaging with Nontoxic AIE Probes in Nonhuman Primates显示文摘Fluorescence probes with aggregation-induced emission(AIE)characteristics are of great importance in biomedical imaging with superior spatial and temporal resolution.However,the lack of toxicity studies and deep tissue imaging in nonhuman primates hinders their clinical translation.Here,we report the blood chemistry and histological analysis in nonhuman primates treated with AIE probes over tenfold of an intravenous dose of clinically used indocyanine green(ICG)during a study period of 36 days to demonstrate AIE probes are nontoxic.Furthermore,through bright and nontoxic AIE probes and fluorescence imaging in the second window(NIR-II,1,000-1,700 nm),we achieve an unprecedented 1.5-centimeter-deep vascular imaging in nonhuman primates,breaking the current limitation of millimeter-deep NIR-II fluorescence imaging.Our important findings,i.e.,nontoxic features of AIE probes and centimeter-deep NIR-II vascular imaging in nonhuman primates,may facilitate successful translation of AIE probes in clinical trials. | Zonghai Sheng Yaxi Li Dehong Hu Tianliang Min Duyang Gao Jen-Shyang Ni Pengfei Zhang Yuenan Wang Xin Liu Kai Li Hairong Zheng Ben Zhong Tang | 2020 | Research2020,,1: | 1 |

| 10 | Delivery of Biomimetic Liposomes via Meningeal Lymphatic Vessels Route for Targeted Therapy of Parkinson’s Disease显示文摘Targeted therapy of Parkinson’s disease is an important challenge because of the blood–brain barrier limitation.Here,we propose a natural killer cell membrane biomimetic nanocomplex(named BLIPO-CUR)delivered via the meningeal lymphatic vessel(MLV)route to further the therapeutic efficacy of Parkinson’s disease.The membrane incorporation enables BLIPO-CUR to target the damaged neurons,thus improving their therapeutic efficacy through clearing reactive oxygen species,suppressing the aggregation ofα-synuclein,and inhibiting the spread of excessα-synuclein species.Compared with the conventional intravenous injection,this MLV administration can enhance the delivered efficiency of curcumin into the brain by~20 folds.The MLV route administration of BLIPO-CUR enhances the treatment efficacy of Parkinson’s disease in mouse models by improving their movement disorders and reversing neuron death.Our findings highlight the great potential of MLV route administration used as targeted delivery of drugs to the brain,holding a great promise for neurodegenerative disease therapy. | Jing Liu Duyang Gao Dehong Hu Siyi Lan Yu Liu Hairong Zheng Zhen Yuan Zonghai Sheng | 2023 | Research2023,,3: | 0 |
| 11 | Surface pressure anisotropy and complex relaxation of silica nanoparticle monolayer at the air-water interface显示文摘We report the anisotropy effect and the relaxation dynamics of surface pressure of silica nanoparticle monolayer at the air-water interface. The anisotropy of surface pressure occurs when the water surface is fully covered by particles and becomes more prominent with the increase of surface concentration. Hence, the conception of surface tensor was proposed to characterize the monolayer properties. The dynamics of pressure relaxation involves three timescales which are related to the damping of surface fluctuation, rearrangement of particle rafts and particle motion inside each raft. The anisotropy decays when the layer is kept static and the process is accelerated remarkably by barrier oscillation.
