1Effect of TMGa flux on GaN films deposited on Ti coated on glass substrates at low temperature显示文摘Highly c-axis-oriented GaN films were deposited on Ti coated glass substrates using low temperature electron cyclotron resonance plasma enhanced metal organic chemical vapor deposition system(ECR-PEMOCVD)with trimethyl gallium(TMGa)as gallium source.The influence of TMGa flux on the properties of GaN films were systematically investigated by reflection high energy electron diffraction(RHEED),X-ray diffraction analysis(XRD),atomic force microscopy(AFM)and Raman scattering.The GaN film with small surface roughness and high c-axis preferred orientation was successfully achieved at the optimized TMGa flux of 1.0 sccm.The ohmic contact characteristic between GaN and Ti layer was clearly demonstrated by the near-linear current-voltage(I-V)curve.The GaN/Ti/glass structure has great potential to dramatically improve the scalability and reduce the cost of solid-state lighting light emitting diodes.WANG EnPing BIAN JiMing QIN FuWen ZHANG Dong LIU YueMei ZHAO Yue DUAN ZhongWei WANG Shuai 2013Chinese Science Bulletin2013,58,30:2

4Scientific objectives of the Hot Universe Baryon Surveyor(HUBS) mission显示文摘The Hot Universe Baryon Surveyor(HUBS) is a proposed space-based X-ray telescope for detecting X-ray emissions from the hot gas content in our universe. With its unprecedented spatially-resolved high-resolution spectroscopy and large field of view,the HUBS mission will be uniquely qualified to measure the physical and chemical properties of the hot gas in the interstellar medium, the circumgalactic medium, the intergalactic medium, and the intracluster medium. These measurements will be valuable for two key scientific goals of HUBS, namely to unravel the AGN and stellar feedback physics that governs the formation and evolution of galaxies, and to probe the baryon budget and multi-phase states from galactic to cosmological scales. In addition to these two goals, the HUBS mission will also help us solve some problems in the fields of galaxy clusters, AGNs, difuse X-ray backgrounds, supernova remnants, and compact objects. 6The Significance of PSA Modified Parameters (F/T)/PSAD for Diagnosing Prostatic Cancer in the Grey Zone of 4~10 ng/ml显示文摘OBJECTIVE To investigate the diagnostic value of modified prostate specific antigen(PSA)parameters in the diagnosis of prostate cancer(PCA) when the serum PSAis in a grey zone of 4~10 ng/ml. METHODS The results of serum PSA determinations of the patients receiving a transrectal ultrasound-guided multiphase prostatic biopsy,were retrospectively analyzed.In the 88 patients with a serum PSA value of 4-10 ng/ml,the final diagnosis of PCA was made in 21,and that of benign prostate hyperplasia(BPH)in 67 patients.The percentage of the free-serum PSA([FPSA]/total-serum PSA[TPSA],F/T),PSA density(PSAD)and the sensitivity and specificity of the new PSA modified parameter(F/T)/PSAD in diagnosing PCA,within a set threshold value,was compared. RESULTS In the 88 patients with serum PSA in the grey zone of 4.0-10.0 ng/ml,there was no significant difference in comparing the TPSA between the 21 PCA patients and 67 BPH patients(P>0.05).However, there was a significant difference in the value of modified PSA parameters, such as F/T,PSAD and(F/T)/PSAD,between the PCA and the BPH groups (P<0.001).As the cut off point-value of the F/T,PSAD and(F/T)/PSAD was set at 0.16,0.15 and 0.8,the diagnostic sensitivity for PCA was 66.7%, 76.2%and 85.7%,and the specificity was 41.8%,43.3%and 68.7%,respectively.There was no significant difference in the sensitivity comparing the modified parameters for diagnosing PCA(P>0.05),whereas an overt predominance was present in the specificity of(F/T)/PSAD for PCAdiagnosis (P<0.05). 7GLTSCR1 coordinates alternative splicing and transcription elongation of ZO1 to regulate colorectal cancer progression显示文摘Alternative splicing(AS)and transcription elongation are vital biological processes,and their dysregulation causes multiple diseases,including tumors.However,the coregulatory mechanism of AS and transcription elongation in tumors remains unclear.This study demonstrates a novel AS pattern of tight junction protein 1(ZO1)regulated by the RNA polymerase II elongation rate in colorectal cancer(CRC).Glioma tumor suppressor candidate region gene 1(GLTSCR1)decreases the transcription elongation rate of ZO1 to provide a time window for binding of the splicing factor HuR to the specific motif in intron 22 of ZO1 and spliceosome recognition of the weak 3 and 5 splice sites in exon 23 to promote exon 23 inclusion.Since exon 23 inclusion in ZO1 suppresses migration and invasion of CRC cells,our findings suggest a novel potential therapeutic target for CRC.Fengyan Han Beibei Yang Mingyue Zhou Qiong Huang Minglang Mai Zhaohui Huang Maode Lai Enping Xu Honghe Zhang 2022Journal of Molecular Cell Biology2022,14,2:1
8The Precursor of GRB211211A:A Tide-induced Giant Quake?显示文摘The equilibrium configuration of a solid strange star in the final inspiral phase with another compact object is generally discussed,and the starquake-related issue is revisited,for a special purpose to understand the precursor emission of binary compact star merger events(e.g.,that of GRB211211A).As the binary system inspirals inward due to gravitational wave radiation,the ellipticity of the solid strangeon star increases due to the growing tidal field of its compact companion.Elastic energy is hence accumulated during the inspiral stage which might trigger a starquake before the merger when the energy exceeds a critical value.The energy released during such starquakes is calculated and compared to the precursor observation of GRB211211 A.The result shows that the energy might be insufficient for binary strangeon-star case unless the entire solid strangeon star shatters,and hence favors a black hole-strangeon star scenario for GRB211211A.The timescale of the precursor as well as the frequency of the observed quasi-periodic-oscillation have also been discussed in the starquake model.Enping Zhou Yong Gao Yurui Zhou Xiaoyu Lai Lijing Shao Weiyang Wang Shaolin Xiong Renxin Xu Shuxu Yi Garvin Yim Han Yue Zhen Zhang 2024Research in Astronomy and Astrophysics2024,24,2:0
9Single‑cell sequencing reveals the reproductive variations between primiparous and multiparous Hu ewes显示文摘Background In the modern sheep production systems,the reproductive performance of ewes determines the economic profitability of farming.Revealing the genetic mechanisms underlying differences in the litter size is important for the selection and breeding of highly prolific ewes.Hu sheep,a high-quality Chinese sheep breed,is known for its high fecundity and is often used as a model to study prolificacy traits.In the current study,animals were divided into two groups according to their delivery rates in three consecutive lambing seasons(namely,the high and low reproductive groups with≥3 lambs and one lamb per season,n=3,respectively).The ewes were slaughtered within 12 h of estrus,and unilateral ovarian tissues were collected and analyzed by 10×Genomics single-cell RNA sequencing.Results A total of 5 types of somatic cells were identified and corresponding expression profiles were mapped in the ovaries of each group.Noticeably,the differences in the ovary somatic cell expression profiles between the high and low reproductive groups were mainly clustered in the granulosa cells.Furthermore,four granulosa cell subtypes were identified.GeneSwitches analysis revealed that the abundance of JPH1 expression and the reduction of LOC101112291 expression could lead to different evolutionary directions of the granulosa cells.Additionally,the expression levels of FTH1 and FTL in mural granulosa cells of the highly reproductive group were significantly higher.These genes inhibit necroptosis and ferroptosis of mural granulosa cells,which helps prevent follicular atresia.Conclusions This study provides insights into the molecular mechanisms underlying the high fecundity of Hu sheep.The differences in gene expression profiles,particularly in the granulosa cells,suggest that these cells play a critical role in female prolificacy.The findings also highlight the importance of genes such as JPH1,LOC101112291,FTH1,and FTL in regulating granulosa cell function and follicular development.Ting Ge Yifan Wen Bo Li Xiaoyu Huang Shaohua Jiang Enping Zhang 2024Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2024,15,2:0
10Development and Economic Effect of Farmers' Specialized Cooperatives显示文摘The paper introduces the present development of farmers' specialized cooperatives in China, points out that although the cooperatives in China develop rapidly, they are generally small and their advantages cannot be given into full play, and then analyzes the development achievements of the cooperatives, for example, they have realized scale benefits, their management system tends to more mature, the economic value of their brands is improved and they have created great economic benefits.
