1An octree-based proxy for collision detection in large-scale particle systems显示文摘Particle systems are important building block for simulating vivid and detail-rich effects in virtual world.One of the most difficult aspects of particle systems has been detecting collisions between particles and mesh surface.Due to the huge computation,a variety of proxy-based approaches have been proposed recently to perform visually correct simulation.However,all either limit the complexity of the scene,fail to guarantee non-penetration,or are too slow for real-time use with many particles.In this paper,we propose a new octree-based proxy for colliding particles with meshes on the GPU.Our approach works by subdividing the scene mesh with an octree in which each leaf node associates with a representative normal corresponding to the normals of the triangles that intersect the node.We present a view-visible method,which is suitable for both closed and non-closed models,to label the empty leaf nodes adjacent to nonempty ones with appropriate back/front property,allowing particles to collide with both sides of the scene mesh.We show how collisions can be performed robustly on this proxy structure in place of the original mesh,and describe an extension that allows for fast traversal of the octree structure on the GPU.The experiments show that the proposed method is fast enough for real-time performance with millions of particles interacting with complex scenes.FAN WenShan WANG Bin PAUL Jean-Claude SUN JiaGuang 2013Science China(Information Sciences)2013,56,1:8

3Calcium-organic frameworks cathode for high-stable aqueous Zn/organic batteries显示文摘Rechargeable aqueous zinc-ion batteries(AZIBs) are attracting tremendous attention because of their intrinsic merits such as high safety and low cost. Cathode plays a critical role in enhancing the electrochemical performance of AZIBs. However, it is difficult to design a robust and high-efficiency cathode material and further implement the commercialization of AZIBs. Metal-organic frameworks(MOFs) electroactive compounds are attractive to serve as the cathode of AZIBs due to their unique porosity and crystal structures, resource renewability and structural diversity. In this work, a calcium-pure terephthalates acid framework(Ca-PTA·3H_(2)O) was synthesized by facile hydrolysis and cationic exchange method,then explored as a novel cathode for AZIBs. The results highlight a high specific capacity of 431 mAh/g(0.51 mAh/cm^(2)) at a current density of 50 mA/g, and excellent cycle performance with capacity retention of ~90% after 2700 cycles at 500 m A/g. The following up characterizations investigate the reversible zinc storage mechanism in detail.
