| 1 | Whole-genome resequencing of Osmanthus fragrans provides insights into flower color evolution显示文摘Osmanthus fragrans is a well-known ornamental plant that has been domesticated in China for 2500 years.More than 160 cultivars have been found during this long period of domestication,and they have subsequently been divided into four cultivar groups,including the Yingui,Jingui,Dangui,and Sijigui groups.These groups provide a set of materials to study genetic evolution and variability.Here,we constructed a reference genome of O.fragrans‘Liuyejingui’in the Jingui group and investigated its floral color traits and domestication history by resequencing a total of 122 samples,including 119 O.fragrans accessions and three other Osmanthus species,at an average sequencing depth of 15×.The population structure analysis showed that these 119 accessions formed an apparent regional cluster.The results of linkage disequilibrium(LD)decay analysis suggested that varieties with orange/red flower color in the Dangui group had undergone more artificial directional selection;these varieties had the highest LD values among the four groups,followed by the Sijigui,Jingui,and Yingui groups.Through a genome-wide association study,we further identified significant quantitative trait loci and genomic regions containing several genes,such as ethylene-responsive transcription factor 2 and Arabidopsis pseudoresponse regulator 2,that are positively associated with petal color.Moreover,we found a frameshift mutation with a 34-bp deletion in the first coding region of the carotenoid cleavage dioxygenase 4 gene.This frameshift mutation existed in at least one site on both alleles in all varieties of the Dangui group.The results from this study shed light on the genetic basis of domestication in woody plants,such as O.fragrans. | Hongguo Chen Xiangling Zeng Jie Yang Xuan Cai Yumin Shi Riru Zheng Zhenqi Wang Junyi Liu Xinxin Yi Siwei Xiao Qiang Fu Jingjing Zou Caiyun Wang | 2021 | Horticulture Research2021,8,1: | 5 |
| 2 | Nonlinear Dynamic Modeling for a Diesel Engine Propeller Shafting Used in Large Marines显示文摘Longitudinal vibration,torsional vibration and their coupled vibration are the main vibration modes of the crankshaft-sliding bearing system.However,these vibrations of the propeller-crankshaft-sliding bearing system generated by the fluid exciting force on the propeller are much more complex.Currently,the torsional and longitudinal vibrations have been studied separately while the research on their coupled vibration is few,and the influence of the propeller structure to dynamic characteristics of a crankshaft has not been studied yet.In order to describe the dynamic properties of a crankshaft accurately,a nonlinear dynamic model is proposed taking the effect of torsional-longitudinal coupling and the variable inertia of propeller,connecting rod and piston into account.Numerical simulation cases are carried out to calculate the response data of the system in time and frequency domains under the working speed and over-speed,respectively.Results of vibration analysis of the propeller and crankshaft system coupled in torsional and longitudinal direction indicate that the system dynamic behaviors are relatively complicated especially in the components of the frequency response.For example,the 4 times of an exciting frequency acting on the propeller by fluid appears at 130 r/min,while not yield at 105 r/min.While the possible abnormal vibration at over-speed just needs to be vigilant.So when designing the propeller shafting used in marine diesel engines,strength calculation and vibration analysis based only on linear model may cause great errors and the proposed research provides some references to design diesel engine propeller shafting used in large marines. | ZHANG Qinglei DUAN Jianguo ZHANG Suohuai FU Yumin | 2014 | Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2014,27,5: | 2 |

| 4 | Faulty Phase Identification for Transmission Line with Metal Oxide Varistor-protected Series Compensator显示文摘The nonlinear operation of metal oxide varistor(MOV)-protected series compensator in transmission lines introduces complications into fault detection approaches. The accuracy of a conventional fault detection schemes is adversely affected by continuous change of the system impedance and load current at the point of a series compensation unit. Thus, this study suggests a method for detecting the faulted phase in MOV-protected series-compensated transmission lines. Primarily, the fault feature is identified using the covariance coefficients of the current samples during the fault period and the current samples during the pre-fault period. Furthermore, a convenience fault detection index is established by applying the cumulative sum technique. Extensive validation through different fault circumstances is accomplished, including different fault positions,resistances, and inception times. The experimental results show that the proposed method performs well with high resistance or impedance faults, faults in noisy conditions, and close-in and far-end faults. | 5 | Dissecting the contributions of organic nitrogen aerosols to global atmospheric nitrogen deposition and implications for ecosystems显示文摘Atmospheric deposition of particulate organic nitrogen(ON_(p))is a significant process in the global nitrogen cycle and may be pivotally important for N-limited ecosystems.However,past models largely overlo oked the spatial and chemical inhomogeneity of atmospheric ON_(p)and were thus deficient in assessing global ON_(p)impacts.We constructed a comprehensive global model of atmospheric gaseous and particulate organic nitrogen(ON),including the latest knowledge on emissions and secondary formations.Using this model,we simulated global atmospheric ON_(p)abundances consistent with observations.Our estimated global atmospheric ON deposition was 26 Tg N yr^(-1),predominantly in the form of ON_(p)(23 Tg N yr^(-1))and mostly from wildfires(37%),oceans(22%)and aqueous productions(17%).Globally,ON_(p)contributed as much as 40%to 80%of the total N deposition downwind of biomass-burning regions.Atmospheric ON_(p)deposition thus constituted the dominant external N supply to the N-limited boreal forests,tundras and the Arctic Ocean,and its importance maybe amplified in a future warming climate. | Yumin Li Tzung-May Fu Jian Zhen Yu Xu Yu Qi Chen Ruqian Miao Yang Zhou Aoxing Zhang Jianhuai Ye Xin Yang Shu Tao Hongbin Liu Weiqi Yao | 2023 | National Science Review2023,10,12: | 0 |
| 6 | Follow-up of two victims of a 60Co-source radiation accident in 1986, Kaifeng, Henan Province, China显示文摘Objective:To explore the late effects of acute radiation exposure through the follow-up of two victims of a 60Cosource radiation accident,who suffered moderate acute radiation sickness of bone marrow type.Methods:On May 26,1986,a power failure occurred suddenly at an irradiation plant in Kaifeng,Henan Province,China,during which two workers at the site,named Liang and Yan,accidentally entered the 60Co-source irradiation cell in service.Long-term medical observations were carried out on them following the accident.Results:The late effects of the accident on Liang and Yan were observed.The main manifestations of Liang were hypomnesia and visual impairment.A typical radiation-induced cataract developed 2 years after exposure.Local cutaneous radiation injury and resultant five operations were performed within a period of five years after exposure.The decrease in the number and low viability of his sperms was found 1 year after exposure.The decrease in his leukocytes and platelets occurred during 1–5 years after exposure.He died from intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma 21 years after exposure.For Yan,the main manifestations included headache,dizziness,fatigue,insomnia,and susceptibility to cold just after exposure.She had intermittent menolipsis at age 41.The leukocytes was fluctuating in the range of(3.1–3.9)109/L 14–24 years after exposure.A decrease in estradiol(reproductive hormone)and an increase in follicle-stimulating hormone were observed.Thyroid nodules were detected by thyroid ultrasound 21 years after exposure.She died from acute myeloid leukemia(AML)32 years after exposure.Conclusions:Follow-up of victims exposed to a high activity radiation source should focus on the organs sensitive to radiation and on the radiation-induced carcinogenesis. | Fengling Zhao Jifeng Yang Yumin Lyu Quanfu Sun Baohua Fu | 2020 | Radiation Medicine and Protection2020,1,4: | 0 |
| 7 | Microwave-assisted Catalyzed Synthesis and In vitro Bioactivity Evaluation of Benzimidazoles Bearing Phenolic Hydroxyl显示文摘An efficient and facile method was introduced for the synthesis of benzimidazoles in this paper.The optimum reaction conditions were determined.A series of benzimidazoles bearing phenolic hydroxyl(2a—2t)were synthesized in moderate to excellent yields starting from differently substituted hydroxyl benzaldehyde and 4-position substituted o-phenylenediamine via nu-cleophilic addition in the presence of catalyst Na2S2O5 under microwave irradiation condition.Herein,effects of the catalyst,molar ratio of reactants,reaction temperature and solvent were investigated.The optimal reaction condition was determined.The effect of DMF and EtOH solvent on the reaction was compared.The synthesized compounds were characterized by FTIR,HRMS,1H NMR and 13C NMR spectroscopy.Further,the bacteriostatic activities of the synthesized compounds were evaluated with ciprofloxacin and itraconazole as a positive control,respectively.Compounds 2b,2n,2q and 2r exhibited some antibacterial activity.The lowest MIC of antibacterial activity of compound 2b was 32µg/mL.Meanwhile,the luminescence property of compound 2b was studied.The antibacterial activity of compound 2b,along with their good fluorescence performance highlighted the potential of these compounds as lead structures and owned fluorescence trace for further study towards the development of novel drugs and functional mechanisms in living organisms. | YAN Liuqing FU Jiaxu LI Shuang ZHANG Jinlong WANG Shuang GU Qiang ZHANG Yumin LIN Feng | 2021 | Chemical Research in Chinese Universities2021,37,3: | 0 |
