1Recent progress of surface coating on cathode materials for high-performance lithium-ion batteries显示文摘Lithium-ion batteries (LIB) have received substantial attention in the last 10 years,as they offer great promise as power sources that can lead to the electric vehicle (EV) revolution in the next 5 years.Since the cathode serves as a key component in LIB,its properties significantly affect the performance of the whole system.Recently,the cathode surface modification based on coating technique has been widely employed to enhance the electrochemical performances by improving the material conductivity,stabilising the physical structure of materials,as well as preventing the reactions between the electrode and electrolyte.In this work,we reviewed the present of a number of promising cathode materials for Li-ion batteries.After that,we summarized the very recent research progress focusing on the surface coating strategies,mainly including the coating materials,the coating technologies,as well as the corresponding working mechanisms for cathodes.At last,the challenges faced and future guidelines for optimizing cathode materials are discussed.In this study,we propose that the structure of cathode is a crucial factor during the selection of coating materials and technologies.Peiyuan Guan Lu Zhou Zhenlu Yu Yuandong Sun Yunjian Liu Feixiang Wu Yifeng Jiang Dewei Chu 2020Journal of Energy Chemistry2020,29,4:28
2Preliminary report on methane emissions from the Three Gorges Reservoir in the summer drainage period显示文摘Recently reported summertime methane (CH4) emissions (6.7 ± 13.3 mg CH4/(m2·hr)) from newly created marshes in the drawdown area of the Three Gorges Reservoir (TGR), China have triggered broad concern in academic circles and among the public. The CH4 emissions from TGR water surfaces and drawdown areas were monitored from 3rd June to 16th October 2010 with floating and static chambers and gas chromatography. The average CH4 emission flux from permanently flooded areas in Zigui, Wushan and Yunyang Counties was (0.33 ± 0.09) mg CH4/(m2·hr). In half of these hottest months of the year, the wilderness, cropland and deforested drawdown sites were aerobic and located above water level, and the CH4 emissions were very small, ranging from a sink at 0.12 mg CH4/(m2·hr) to a source at 0.08 mg CH4/(m2·hr) except for one mud-covered site after flood. Mean CH4 emission in flooded drawdown sites was 0.34 mg CH4/(m2·hr). The emissions from the rice paddy sites in the drawdown area were averaged at (4.86 ± 2.31) mg CH4/(m2·hr). Excepting the rice-paddy sites, these results show much lower emission levels than previously reported. Our results indicated considerable spatial and temporal variation in CH4 emissions from the TGR. Human activities and occasional events, such as flood, may also affect emission levels. 3Soil warming effect on net ecosystem exchange of carbon dioxide during the transition from winter carbon source to spring carbon sink in a temperate urban lawn显示文摘The significant warming in urban environment caused by the combined effects of global warming and heat island has stimulated widely development of urban vegetations.However,it is less known of the climate feedback of urban lawn in warmed environment.Soil warming effect on net ecosystem exchange(NEE)of carbon dioxide during the transition period from winter to spring was investigated in a temperate urban lawn in Beijing,China.The NEE(negative for uptake)under soil warming treatment(temperature was about 5°C higher than the ambient treatment as a control)was-0.71 μmol/(m2·sec),the ecosytem was a CO2 sink under soil warming treatment,the lawn ecosystem under the control was a CO2 source(0.13μmol/(m2·sec)),indicating that the lawn ecosystem would provide a negative feedback to global warming.There was no significant effect of soil warming on nocturnal NEE(i.e.,ecosystem respiration),although the soil temperature sensitivity(Q10) of ecosystem respiration under soil warming treatment was 3.86,much lower than that in the control(7.03).The CO2 uptake was significantly increased by soil warming treatment that was attributed to about 100% increase of α(apparent quantum yield)and Amax(maximum rate of photosynthesis).Our results indicated that the response of photosynthesis in urban lawn is much more sensitive to global warming than respiration in the transition period.Xiaoping Zhou Xiaoke Wang Lei Tong Hongxing Zhang Fei Lu Feixiang Zheng Peiqiang Hou WenzhiSong Zhiyun Ouyang 2012Journal of Environmental Sciences2012,24,12:4
4Large Scale One-Pot Synthesis of Monodispersed Na_(3)(VOPO_(4))_(2)F Cathode for Na-Ion Batteries显示文摘Na-ion batteries(NIBs)have received significant interest as potential candidates for large-scale energy storage owing to the widespread distribution of sodium and superior low-temperature performance.However,their commercial application is usually hindered by the high production cost and inadequate performance for electrode materials,particularly for cathodes.Na_(3)(VOPO_(4))_(2)F(NVOPF)has been recognized as one of the most promising cathodes for high-energy NIBs owing to the high working voltage and energy density.Here,we report a facile highly efficient room-temperature solution protocol for large-scale synthesis of NVOPF cathode for NIBs.By simply regulating pH,NVOPF can be obtained,which delivered a discharge capacity of 120.2 mAh g^(-1) at 0.1 C and 72%capacity retention over 8000 cycles at 25 C.Besides,the kilogram-level NVOPF products have been synthesized,and 26650 cylindrical cells were fabricated,which exhibit excellent cycling stabilities,remarkable lowtemperature performance with comparable safety features.We hope our findings could provide insights on the industrial application of NVOPF in NIBs.Qiangqiang Zhang Xing Shen Quan Zhou Kaixuan Li Feixiang Ding Yaxiang Lu Junmei Zhao Liquan Chen Yong-Sheng Hu 2022Energy Material Advances2022,,1:2
5The Chloride Permeability of Persulphated Phosphogypsum-Slag Cement Concrete显示文摘The chloride permeability and microstructure of persulphated phosphogypsum-slag cement concrete(PPSCC), the Portland slag cement concrete(PSCC) and ordinary Portland cement concrete(OPCC) were investigated comparatively. Some test methods were used to evaluate the chloride permeability and explain the relationship between the permeability and microstructure of concrete. The results show that the resistance to chloride penetration in PPSCC is significantly better than that in OPCC, the reasons are as follows: 1) the slag in PPSCC is activated by clinker(alkali activation) and phosphogypsum(sulfate activation), forming more low Ca/Si C-S-H gel and gel pores below 10 nm than OPCC, improving the resistance to chloride penetration; 2) the hydration products of PPSCC have a much stronger binding capacity for chloride ions; and 3) in the same mix proportion, PPSCC has a better workability without large crystals calcium hydroxide in the hydration products, the interfacial transition zone(ITZ) is smoother and denser, which can cut off the communicating pores between the pastes and aggregates.黄有强 LU Jianxin CHEN Feixiang 水中和 2016Journal of Wuhan University of Technology(Materials Science)2016,31,5:1
6High-fidelity,low-latency polarization quantum state transmissions over a hollow-core conjoined-tube fiber at around 800 nm显示文摘Hollow-core fiber(HCF)promises to unify air-borne light propagation and non-line-of-sight transmission,thus holding great potential for versatile photonics-based quantum information applications.The early version of HCF based on photonic-bandgap guidance has not proven itself a reliable quantum channel because of the poor modal purity in both spatial and polarization domains,as well as significant difficulty in fabrication when the wavelength shifts to the visible region.In this work,based on the polarization degree of freedom,we demonstrate high-fidelity(∼0.98)single-photon transmission and distribution of entangled photons over a 36.4 m hollow-core conjoined-tube fiber(CTF)by using commercial silicon single-photon avalanche photodiodes.Our CTF realizes the combined merits of low loss,high spatial modal purity,low polarization degradation,and low chromatic dispersion.We also demonstrate single-photon low-latency(∼99.96%speed of light in vacuum)transmission,paving the way for extensive uses of HCF links in versatile photonics-based quantum information processing.Xinyu Chen Wei Ding Ying-Ying Wang Shou-Fei Gao Feixiang Xu Huichao Xu Yi-Feng Hong Yi-Zhi Sun Pu Wang Yan-Qing Lu Lijian Zhang 2021Photonics Research2021,9,4:1
7Triple effects of Sn-substitution on Na0.67Ni0.33Mn0.67O2显示文摘Layered oxides are one of the most prom ising cathode materials for sodium ion batteries (NIBs), however, the relatively low working voltage hinders the increase of energy density thus limiting the application scenarios of NIBs. Here we prepared and investigated a series of Sn^4+ substituted NaO.67NiO.33M na67-xSnxO2 (x = 0.10, 0.20, 0.30, 0.33) and found that Sn-substitution can induce three effects: promoting O3-stack formation, sm oothing the voltage profile and increasing the working voltage to -3.6 V. 8Effect of long-term cyclic compression loading on the structural evolution of trabecular bone显示文摘Dynamic remodeling of bone tissue is mediated by the synergistic effects of osteoblast-driven bone formation and Osteoclast-dominated bone resorption.However,how bone cells perceive the mechanical stimuli and regulate bone remodeling have not been fully understood.This study aims to evaluate the effect of cyclic compression loading on trabecular microstructure for 42 days and identify the relationship between the evolution of trabecular microstructure and cell distribution.The eighth caudal vertebrae of rats were subjected to long-term cyclic compression loading with different frequencies.The compression displacement is 1 mm.In vivo micro-computed tomography was performed at 0,14,28 and 42 days to determine the structural parameters.The bone volume fraction(BV/TV)in the 1 Hz cyclic compression loading group was significantly higher than that in the control and 10 Hz groups,whereas the trabecular separation(Tb.Sp)was significantly lower.The 10 Hz cyclic compression group had the lowest BV/TV and highest Tb.Sp.After 14 days of loading,the BV/TV values of 1 Hz group were 29.62%and 41.6%higher than those of the control and 10 Hz groups,respectively.Conversely,the Tb.Sp of 1 Hz group was approximately 12.33%and 16.52%lower than that of the control and 10 Hz group,respectively.More bone formation and less bone resorption were observed in the 1 Hz group than the control group.In addition,more osteoblasts were attached to the area of bone formation,while more osteoclasts were located in the area of bone resorption.These findings may provide a basis for further understanding mechanical stimulation-regulated bone remodeling.Yan Gao Feixiang Lu Shouhui Wang Lianwen Sun Huijie Leng Bo Huo 2021Medicine in Novel Technology and Devices2021,,4:0
9A novel online analyzer for accurate and rapid measurement of volatile fatty acids in anaerobic wastewater treatment显示文摘Volatile fatty acids(VFAs), which are largely generated during the anaerobic acidification process, are considered to be reliable indicators of the stable process operation. However,the common methods for monitoring VFAs are offline, and they are typically manual requiring time-consuming, costly and complex instruments. This study aims to develop a novel online analyzer for automatic measuring VFAs, which was based on the 5-p H point titration, embedded with a proportional-integral-derivative(PID) feedback control system. The results show that it can achieve accurate and rapid monitoring of VFAs ranging between 0-400 mg/L(<9 min/sample) but simultaneously faces the problems of overtitration and interference of complex characteristics of wastewater. In order to improve its accuracy and stability, the effects of three general coefficients(K_(I),K_(P), and K_(D)) of PID on the titration were investigated, and the optimal values of K_(I), K_(P), and K_(D)were found to be 1.5, 1.0, and-1.0~0.5,respectively. Besides, the initial titration speed was set at 0.06 m L/min, equal to the minimum speed of the peristaltic pump, and the dichotomy approach was integrated into the PID feedback controller. 10The value of ultrasound elastography in differential diagnosisof superficial lymph nodes显示文摘The study evaluated the value of ultrasound elastography in differentiating the benign and malignant superficial lymph nodes.A total of 112 subjects,including 82 patients with enlarged lymph nodes and 30 healthy volunteers,were recruited.All the subjects were examined by B-mode ultrasonography,power Doppler ultrasonogra-phy and elastography.Most of the patients were histo-pathologically confirmed by needle aspiration cytology and some patients were diagnosed by clinical data combined with follow-upfindings.The sensitivity,speci-ficity and accuracy of B-mode ultrasonography were 59.8%,76.5%and 67.1%,those of the bloodflow classification by power Doppler ultrasonography 77.0%,82.3%and 79.4%and those of elastographic classification 74.7%,97.1%and 84.5%,respectively.The elasticity of the lymph nodes was quantitatively measured and defined as stiffness value.When the stiffness value of 2.395 was taken as the cutoff point,the sensitivity and specificity of elastography were 78.41%and 98.51%,and the Youden index reached the highest,with the value being 0.7692.The stiffness values of two indeterminate benign lymph nodes,the elastrographicfindings of which were rated as patterns 2 and 3,were below the cutoff point.The elastographicfindings of 10 malignant lymph nodes were also classified as pattern 2 or 3.Only one of them had the stiffness values below the cutoff point.It was concluded that ultrasound elastography is a novel,noninvasive and convenient tool for the differentiation of the nature of the superficial lymph nodes in clinical practice.Yanrong ZHANG Qing LV Yehua YIN Mingxing XIE Feixiang XIANG Chengfa LU Tianwei YAN Wei LI Hui XU Yan HUANG 2009Frontiers of Medicine2009,3,3:0

12Neogene integrative stratigraphy,biotas,and paleogeographical evolution of the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau and its surrounding areas显示文摘The remarkable uplift of the Tibetan Plateau in the Neogene had great impacts on the climate and environment of East Asia and even the world.Therefore,establishment of the Neogene stratigraphic framework of the Tibetan Plateau is of great significance to research in various fields of geosciences.Based on marine sediments,the international chronostratigraphic system of the Neogene is divided into six stages in the Miocene and two stages in the Pliocene.Since the beginning of the Cenozoic,the share of terrestrial strata on continents has increased rapidly.By the Neogene,it had far exceeded that of marine strata,and almost all deposits on the Tibetan Plateau and its surrounding areas were terrestrial strata.In China,the Miocene includes five stages and the Pliocene includes two stages.Except for the Tunggurian of the Miocene,which has a lower boundary at 15 Ma,the other stages have the same paleomagnetic definitions and time intervals as the corresponding international marine stages.Mammalian fossils play a very important role in the division and correlation of Cenozoic terrestrial strata,and rodent,carnivore,proboscidean,perissodactyl and artiodactyl fossils are especially important in Neogene terrestrial biostratigraphy.There are many basins with well-exposed strata and abundant mammalian fossils in the Tibetan Plateau.The lower boundary stratotype sections of the Neogene Xiejian and Bahean stages are located respectively in the Xining and Linxia basins,and there are precise paleomagnetic dates in coordination with mammalian fossils.The lower boundary stratotypes of other stages can also be effectively determined in the Tibetan Plateau.Many first appearing mammalian genera in East Asia also appeared in the Tibetan Plateau and its surrounding areas,especially in the Linxia Basin on the northeast margin and in the Siwaliks on the southwest margin.Among them,Prodeinotherium first appeared at the bottom of the Miocene in the Siwaliks,and the earliest Hipparion of the Old World first appeared at the bottom of the Bahean Stage in the Linxia Basin.Carbon and oxygen isotope analysis of enamel and paleosols of Cenozoic sediments and mammal fossils in the Tibetan Plateau and its surrounding areas have been used to reconstruct the climate,environment and vegetation development characteristics,and revealed that these changes were not only related to global change,but also had regional features.Evidence of the Late Miocene C4plant expansion event based on carbon isotope changes comes from the southern margin of the Tibetan Plateau,but in sharp contrast,δ13C indicates that there was still no clear or significant C4plant signal on the northern margin of the Tibetan Plateau until the end of the Neogene.Theδ18O analysis shows that there were several major climate change events in the Cenozoic,especially in the Late Miocene at about 7 Ma,when positive drift ofδ18O indicates that the northern and southern sides of the Tibetan Plateau were changing to drier environments.The strong uplift of the Tibetan Plateau in the Late Miocene strengthened the thermal contrast between sea and land,which strengthened monsoon circulation and led to the expansion of C4vegetation in South Asia.However,the East Asian summer monsoon,which can bring atmospheric precipitation and a climate suitable for C4plants to northern China,was not enough to affect the northern Tibetan Plateau.The Tibetan Plateau on the whole rose to an altitude of about 3000 m in the Miocene,becoming a barrier to mammalian migration;it reached its modern altitude of more than 4000 m in the Pliocene,thus forming a cryosphere environment,which led to the emergence of ancestral types of the Ice Age fauna.Tao DENG Xiaomin FANG Qiang LI Shiqi WANG Feixiang WU Sukuan HOU Jiao MA Qigao JIANGZUO Danhui SUN Yan ZHENG Qinqin SHI Boyang SUN Lu LI 2024Science China Earth Sciences2024,67,4:0
