| 1 | Strain hardening behavior of Mg-Y alloys after extrusion process显示文摘The strain hardening is an effective mode of enhancing mechanical properties in alloys.In this work,the strain hardening behaviors of Mg-xY(x=1,2,and 3 wt%)after extrusion process was investigated using uniaxial tensile tests.Results suggest that the Mg-xY alloys are composed ofα-Mg with a little amount of Mg24Y5 phase.The average grain size reduces from 19.8μm to 12.2μm as the Y content adds from 1 wt%to 2 wt%.Nevertheless,when Y content reaches 3 wt%,the grain size reaches to 12.9μm,which is close to that of Mg-2Y.The strain hardening rate decreases from 883 MPa to 798 MPa at(σ-σ0.2)=40 MPa,and Mg-2Y and Mg-3Y have the similar strain hardening response.Moreover,Mg-1Y shows an obvious ascending stage after the steep decreasing stage,which is mainly caused by the activation of twinning.The strain hardening behavior of Mg-xY is explained based on understanding the roles of the deformation mechanisms via deformation microstructure analysis and Visco-Plastic Self Consistent(VPSC)model.The variation of strain hardening characteristics with increasing Y content is related to the effects of grain size and texture. | Chaoyue Zhao Ziyan Li Jiahui Shi Xianhua Chen Teng Tu Zhu Luo Renju Cheng Andrej Atrens Fusheng Pan | 2019 | Journal of Magnesium and Alloys2019,7,4: | 6 |
| 2 | Effects of Fe concentration on microstructure and corrosion of Mg-6Al-1Zn-xFe alloys for fracturing balls applications显示文摘Mg-6A1-1 Zn-xFe (x = 0,1,3,5 and 7 wt%) alloys were prepared by powder metallurgy and followed by hot extrusion. Majority of Fe element exists as insoluble particles in the alloys. The as-extruded alloys showed higher degradable rates but less stable mechanical properties than as-annealed alloys. Corrosion rate of all the alloys increased with increasing Fe concentration, reaching 2.4 mL cm^-2 h^-1.0.2% yield strength of all the alloys was higher than 150 MPa. | 3 | Effect of Sr addition on the grain refinement of AZ31 magnesium alloys显示文摘The grain refinement mechanisms of Sr in the AZ31 magnesium alloys were studied by both phase diagram calculation and experimental analysis.The influence of Sr content on the solute distribution coefficients of Al and Zn during solidification was investigated in order to find out whether Sr addition can enhance the grain refinement efficiency brought by Al and Zn.The results showed that Sr addition can promote the segregation in liquid phases for both Al and Zn during solidification,therefore enhance the grain refinement effects by Al and Zn in AZ31 magnesium alloys.And the effect of Sr addition on the solute distribution coefficients for Al is larger than that of Zn.Sr addition can improve the GRF values by itself and also improve the GRF values of Al and Zn to the AZ31 magnesium alloys,and the grains are refined consequently. | Renju Cheng Fusheng Pan Shan Jiang Cheng Li Bing Jiang Xianquan Jiang | 2013 | Progress in Natural Science:Materials International2013,23,1: | 2 |
| 4 | Effect of Ca addition on the as-cast microstructure and creep properties of Mg-5Zn-5Sn magnesium alloy显示文摘The effect of Ca addition on the as-cast microstructure and creep properties of Mg-5Zn-5Sn magnesium alloy was investigated. The results indicate that adding 1.0 wt.% Ca to Mg-5Zn-5Sn alloy can effectively refine the as-cast microstructure of the alloy, and the CaMgSn phase with high thermal stability is formed in the alloy. In addition, adding 1.0 wt.% Ca to Mg-5Zn-5Sn alloy can also improve the creep properties of the alloy. After adding 1.0 wt.% Ca to Mg-5Zn-5Sn alloy, the second creep rate of the alloy at 150°C and 50 MPa for 100 h decreases from 4.67×10-8 to 1.43×10-8 s-1. | 5 | In-situ LDHs growth on PEO coatings on AZ31 magnesium alloy for active protection:Roles of PEO composition and conversion solution显示文摘In this work,plasma electrolytic oxidation(PEO)coatings were produced on magnesium alloy AZ31 in aluminate,silicate and phosphate-based electrolytes,and followed by hydrothermal treatments in order to synthesis layered double hydroxides(LDHs)based nanocontainers.LDHs synthesis was done in three different growth solutions(deionized water,sodium nitrate and aluminum nitrate containing solution).In frame of this work it was shown,that it was difficult to form LDHs on Si-based PEO coating,due to more stable silicate phases in comparison with aluminate and phosphate phases in respective PEO coatings.The obtained hybrid LDH/PEO coatings were characterized using SEM,EDS and GDOES,and then the corrosion protection was further investigated by EIS.Based on the obtained results,it was confirmed that,the hydrothermal treatments in Al^(3+)containing solution played an important role on overall corrosion resistance for phosphate and silicate-based PEO coatings,but not for Al-based PEO coatings. | Gen Zhang Liang Wu Maria Serdechnova Aitao Tang Cheng Wang Carsten Blawert Fusheng Pan Mikhail L.Zheludkevich | 2023 | Journal of Magnesium and Alloys2023,11,7: | 1 |
