| 1 | Oxaliplatin and 5-fluorouracil hepatic infusion with lipiodolized chemoembolization in large hepatocellular carcinoma显示文摘AIM: To investigate transarterial chemoembolization(TACE) with hepatic infusion of oxaliplatin and 5-fluorouracil and Lipiodol chemoembolization in large hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).METHODS: In this retrospective study, 132 patients with unresectable HCCs larger than 10 cm were treated with hepatic infusion of oxaliplatin and 5-fluorouracil followed by Lipiodol chemoembolization. The primary endpoint was overall survival(OS). Sixteen-week disease-control rate, time to progression(TTP), and major complications were also studied. Univariate and multivariate analyses were performed to identify prognostic factors affecting OS and TTP.RESULTS: A total of 319 procedures were performed in the 132 patients. Eleven(8.3%) patients received radical resection following TACE treatment(median time to initial TACE 4.3 ± 2.3 mo). The median OS and TTP were 10.3 and 3.0 mo respectively, with a 50.0% 16-wk disease-control rate. Major complications were encountered in 6.0%(8/132) of patients following TACE and included serious jaundice in 1.5%(2/132) patients, aleukia in 1.5%(2/132), and hepatic failure in 3.0%(4/132). One patient died within one month due to serious hepatic failure and severe sepsis after receiving the second TACE. | 2 | Natural YMDD-motif mutants affect clinical course of lamivudine in chronic hepatitis B显示文摘AIM:To investigate the prevalence of nature tyrosinemethionine-aspartic acid-aspartic acid motif mutations in chronic hepatitis B(CHB)patients and to evaluate the efficacy of lamivudine.METHODS:A total of 1268 CHB patients were recruited from the outpatient and inpatient departments of six centers.Tyrosine-methionine-aspartic acid-aspartic acid(YMDD)mutations were analyzed using the hepatitis B virus(HBV)drug resistance line probe assay.Forty voluntary patients were selected from those with positive or negative natural YMDD mutations to undergo treatment with lamivudine.RESULTS:YMDD mutations were detected in 288(22.71%)of the 1268 CHB patients.Multivariate analysis revealed that the patients’HBV DNA level(P=0.0282)and hepatitis B e antigen status(P=0.0133)were also associated with natural YMDD mutations.The rates of normalization of alanine aminotransferase levels and HBV DNA nondetection at 6,24,36,and 48 wk were compared between the patients with natural YMDD mutations and those without,and the differences were not significant.However,there was a significant difference in the cumulative emergence rates of virological breakthrough at 48 wk in the patients with natural YMDD mutations and those without(32.5%vs 12.5%,P=0.032).CONCLUSION:Naturally occurring YMDD mutationsare detectable in a large proportion of CHB patients;breakthrough hepatitis tended to occur in patients with natural YMDD mutations. | You-Wen Tan Yun Ye Guo-Hong Ge Wei Zhao Jian-He Gan Yun Zhao Zhi-Lin Niu Dong-Jun Zhang Li Chen Xue-Jun Yu Li-Jun Yang | 2015 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2015,21,7: | 4 |

| 10 | The design of HEPS global timing system显示文摘Purpose The high energy photon source(HEPS)is a 4th generation synchrotron light source under construction by the institute of high energy physics.The accelerator complex consists of a 500-MeV Linac,a full-energy synchrotron booster,a 6-GeV synchrotron storage ring(SR),and three e-beam transport lines for injection and extraction among accelerators.A global timing system(GTS)covers the timing needs for all accelerator,beamline,and experiment systems.The GTS is designed to coordinate the injection processes and various measurements and protections.Most systems require that the RMS jitter of the GTS signal is less than 30 ps,while the trigger jitters for the electron gun and SR injection and extraction kickers are less than 10 ps.Method The HEPS GTS is an event-based timing system based on MicroTCA.4 hardware architecture.The MicroTCA.4300 series products from the micro-research Finland Oy are implemented in the HEPS GTS system.Results and conclusions The RMS jitter,integrated from 1 Hz to 10 MHz,of the 166.6 MHz event clock is 5.489 ps.The RMS jitter of TTL outputs is less than 30 ps.This paper reports the design of the HEPS GTS,which satisfies all of the HEPS physics requirements for timing with preliminary test results shown. | Fang Liu Ge Lei Zhe Duan Cai Meng Chenyan Lu Yanhua Shao Xinpeng Ma Nan Gan Yuemei Peng Jianshe Cao Chungming Chu Yanfeng Sui Jingyi Li IHEP | 2021 | Radiation Detection Technology and Methods2021,5,3: | 1 |

| 19 | Amyloid beta deposition related retinal pigment epithelium cell impairment and subretinal microglia activation in aged APPswePS1 transgenic mice显示文摘AIM:To identify the pathological role of amyloid beta(Aβ) deposition in retinal degeneration,and explore Aβ deposition on the retinal pigment epithelium cells(RPE) layer and the associated structural and functional changes in Alzheimer's disease transgenic mice.METHODS:RPE changes in the eyes of APPswe/PS1 transgenic and none transgenic(NTG) mice over 20 months old were examined.Histological changes were investigated via hematoxylin and eosin(H&E) staining and transmission electron microscopy(TEM) examination,whereas the expression of amyloid precursor protein(APP),Aβ,Zonula occludens-1(ZO-1) and Ionized calcium binding adaptor molecule-1(IBA-1) were investigated using immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence techniques.All of the obtained results were quantitatively and statistically analyzed.RESULTS:In aged transgenic mice,an APP-positive immunoreaction and Aβ deposition were detected on the RPE layer but were undetectable in NTG mice.The RPE demonstrated some vacuole changes,shortened basal infoldings and basal deposition in histopathological examination and TEM tests,wherein irregular shapes were indicated by ZO-1 disorganization through fluorescence.Furthermore,IBA-1 positive cells were observed to have accumulated and infiltrated into the RPE layer and localized beneath the RPE/Bruch's membrane(Br M) complex,which was accompanied by an increase in BrM thickness in aged transgenic mice in comparison to NTG mice.The IBA-1 positive cells were found to be co-stained with Aβ deposition on the RPE flat mounts.CONCLUSION:The observed Aβ deposition in the RPE layer may cause RPE dysfunction,which is associated with microglia cells infiltration into the retina of aged transgenic mice,suggesting that Aβ deposition probably plays a significant role in RPE-related degenerative disease. | Zhi-Zhang Dong Juan Li Yi-Feng Gan Xue-Rong Sun Yun-Xia Leng Jian Ge | 2018 | International Journal of Ophthalmology(English edition)2018,11,5: | 1 |
