| 2 | Microstructure modification and corrosion resistance enhancement of die-cast Mg-Al-Re alloy by Sr alloying显示文摘The effects of Sr additions on the microstructure and corrosion performance of a Mg-Al-RE alloy in 3.5 wt.%Na Cl saturated with Mg(OH)_(2) have been investigated.Microstructure examination reveals that the Sr addition introduces additional intermetallic phases,refines intermetallic networks and dendritic grains,and improves the network continuity.More Al and rare earth elements can be identified in the intermetallics and grain boundaries or inter-dendrite regions under a transmission electron microscope and secondary electron microscope,respectively.On the Sr-containing intermetallic phases and the refined microstructure,the oxide films become more protective,resulting in more corrosion resistant boundary areas and thus dendrite grain grooves.Hence,the presence of large amounts of intermetallics and boundaries can enhance the corrosion performance of the Mg-Al-RE alloy containing Sr. | Matthew S.Dargusch Zhiming Shi Hanliang Zhu Andrej Atrens Guang-Ling Song | 2021 | Journal of Magnesium and Alloys2021,9,3: | 5 |

| 10 | Synthesis and microstructure characterization of tetragonal Zr1–xTixO2 (x = 0–1) solid solutions显示文摘Oxide powders of Zr1_xTixO2(x=0-1)solid solutions with micron-sized particles were synthesized via a solution combustion method.The synthesis process and Zr/Ti molar ratio were optimized to produce powders with the tetragonal crystal structure.X-ray diffraction,Raman spectroscopy and transmission electron spectroscopy results confirm that a full crystallization microstructure with the single tetragonal phase is obtained after calcination at 600℃while maintaining the crystallite size<30 nm.Zr/Ti oxide mixtures with Zr>67 mol%exhibit a tetragonal crystal structure and the embedding Ti in ZrO2 improves the structure stability.The nitrogen sorption results indicate that the powders possess mesoporous morphology with medium specific surface areas(~10-50 m^2/g).Chemical stability tests show that these powders are relatively stable with negligible removal of titanium and zirconium after elution by 0.5 mol/L HC1.Density functional theory was used to calculate the most stable structure with low energy for the selected composition. | Linggen Kong Inna Karatchevtseva Hanliang Zhu Meng Jun Qin Zaynab Aly | 2019 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2019,35,9: | 0 |

| 12 | Superplasticity of a Ti-24Al-14Nb-3V-0.5Mo Intermetallic Alloy显示文摘Superplastic properties and microstructural evolution of a Ti-24Al-14Nb-3V-0.5Mo (at. pct) intermetallic alloy were studied. Optimum superplastic properties were obtained for temperatures in the interval 960℃≤5 T≤5980℃. The apparent activation energy in the superplastic regime was determined and the deformation mechanism was also discussed. Based on the studies, a curve panel with three sheets sandwich structure was fabricated successfully.
