1Differentiated super-enhancers in lung cancer cells显示文摘Super-enhancers(SEs) are regulatory elements with enriched accumulation of key transcription factors.Few studies were done investigating SEs in lung cancers.Here we analyzed epigenetic profiling data to identify SEs in lung cancer cell lines.Enhancers were classified as SEs and typical enhancers(TEs).Most of the TEs were overlapped between normal cell and cancer cells.A great portion of SEs were differentiated comparing these cells.Analysis of GO terms associated with SEs revealed SE remodeling(lost on some sites while gain on others) between normal and lung cancer cells.By comparing the average number of SEs in each GO term in cancer cells with the number in control cells,surprisingly,no GO terms with significantly increased SE number in cancer condition were observed.On the contrary,in aspects such as 'cell-cell adhesion','receptor activity' and'negative regulation of canonical Wnt signaling pathway',the related SEs were significantly reduced in cancer cells.These findings suggest that in lung cancer,cells may not gain decisive gene expression in the related aspect,instead,they may have lost control of the fateful genes.Taken together,our work with the usability of omics data identified SEs in lung cancer cells and further showed cancer-specific features of SE-related terms.Xin Li Chengjun Lu Qijue Lu Chunguang Li Ji Zhu Tiejun Zhao Hezhong Chen Hai Jin 2019Science China(Life Sciences)2019,62,9:1
2Application of osteoinductive calcium phosphate ceramics in giant cell tumor of the sacrum:report of six cases显示文摘This study aimed at evaluating the possibility and effectiveness of osteoinductive bioceramics to fill the tumor cavity following the curettage of sacral giant cell tumor(GCT).Six patients(four females and two males,25–45 years old)underwent nervesparing surgery,in which the tumor was treated by denosumab,preoperative arterial embolization and extensive curettage.The remaining cavity was filled with commercial osteoinductive calcium phosphate(CaP)bioceramics,whose excellent osteoinductivity was confirmed by intramuscular implantation in beagle canine.All patients were followed by computed tomography(CT)scans postoperatively.According to the modified Neer criterion,five cases obtained Type I healing status,and one case had Type II.At the latest follow-up,no graft-related complications and local recurrence were found.The CT scan indicated a median time of healing initiation of 3months postoperatively,and the median time for relatively complete healing was 12months.The excellent bone regenerative ability of the ceramics was also confirmed by increased CT attenuation value,blurred boundary and cortical rim rebuilding.In conclusion,osteoinductive CaP bioceramics could be an ideal biomaterial to treat the large remaining cavity following extensive curettage of sacral GCT.However,further investigation with more cases and longer follow-up was required to confirm the final clinical effect.Yitian Wang Xiangfeng Li Yi Luo Li Zhang Hezhong Chen Li Min Qing Chang Yong Zhou Chongqi Tu Xiangdong Zhu Xingdong Zhang 2022Regenerative Biomaterials2022,9,1:0
3Climatic effects on soil organic nitrogen fractions and amino acid chirality in paddy soils显示文摘Soil organic nitrogen(ON)accounts for more than 90%of the total nitrogen(TN)in paddy soils.Inadequate understanding of the different ON fractions in paddy soils and their corresponding bioavailability under different climatic conditions has constrained the development of appropriate nutrient management strategies for rice production.In this study,we applied a modified Bremner method coupled with high-performance liquid chromatography to characterize how soil ON fractions and amino acid chirality varied under different climatic conditions at five typical rice production sites along a latitudinal gradient.According to the results,climate had no obvious influence on TN,nitrogen(N)form,and individual amino acid contents.However,the proportions of various N forms in TN had linear relationships with annual mean temperature(AMT),with high correlation coefficient(r)values.Amino acid components also exhibited similar trends,with r as high as 0.85.Most notably,consistent linear relationships were observed between the D/L ratios of several amino acids and AMT in paddy soils(r=0.18–0.92).Findings of this study provide insights into ON and amino acid dynamics in paddy soil systems under intensive production along climate gradients.Qiang LI Jin WANG Hezhong YUAN Baoshan CHEN Shunyao ZHUANG 2023Pedosphere2023,33,4:0
