2Evaluation of three tracers for labeling distal cerebrospinal fluidcontacting neurons显示文摘It has been reported that distal cerebrospinal fluidcontacting neurons(dCSF-CNs)can be detected by immunohistochemical assay using cholera toxin subunit B-conjugated horseradish peroxidase(CBHRP).In the present study,another two methods with CB alone or CB-conjugated FITC(CB-FITC)were used,and the results from the three methods were compared.Adult Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into three groups with CB-HRP,CB or CB-FITC.Tracers were diluted to 30%in artificial cerebrospinal fluid and injected separately(in a volume of 3μL)into the lateral ventricle.Animals from the CB-HRP and CB groups were perfused 48 h after surgery while animals from the CB-FITC group were perfused 1,3,6,12,24 or 48 h after surgery.The brain was sectioned(40μm)for immunofluorescence and five sections with positive neurons were selected from each rat for neuron counting.Three clusters of positive neurons in a'Y-like'distribution were detected ventral to the cerebral aqueduct of rats from the three groups.No significant difference was observed among the quantitative data.In the CB-FITC group,stable staining was detected even at 6 h after injection.Taken together,lateral ventricle injection of CB/CB-FITC is a useful method for labeling dCSFCNs in rats.The CB-FITC method makes dCSF-CNs labeling much simpler and more convenient.Fang Zhou Jiayou Wang Hongxing Zhang He Liu Guangping Zhao Cuihua Zu Xiaoxing Lu Licai Zhang 2013Neuroscience Bulletin2013,29,5:7
3Fabrication and characterization of Ce_(0.7)Zr_( 0.3)O_2 nanorods having high specific surface area and large oxygen storage capacity显示文摘Nanorod-like Ce 0.7 Zr 0.3 O 2 solid solutions were synthesized by a sodium dodecyl sulfate-assisted precipi- tation method. The samples were characterized by means of scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, and specific surface area measurement. 4Synthesis and characterization of wormhole-like mesoporous Ce_(0.6)Zr_(0.35)Y_(0.05)O_2 solid solutions显示文摘Nanoparticles of Ce0.6Zr0.35Y0.05O2 (CZY) solid solution have been prepared by the CTAB (hexadecyl-trimethyl ammonium bromide), CTAB-EG (ethylene glycol) templating, and CTAB-EG-NaCl (in which the pores of the precursor synthesized by the CTAB-EG method is filled by a certain amount of NaCl) method, respectively. The physical properties of these materials were characterized by means of tech-niques such as X-ray diffraction (XRD), high resolution scanning electron microscopy (HRSEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), selected area electron diffraction (SAED), and N2 adsorp-tion-desorption measurements. The CZY samples synthesized by the above three methods display wormhole-like mesoporous morphology and cubic crystal structures. The materials are narrow in pore size distribution (averaged pore diameter = 5.3―7.1 nm), high in surface areas (95―119 m2/g), and large in pore volumes (0.16―0.18 cm3/g). 7Self‐suspended rare‐earth doped up‐conversion luminescent waveguide:propagating and directional radiation显示文摘Near-infrared excited rare-earth(RE)-doped up-conversion(UC)-luminescent materials have attracted enormous attention because of their unique emission properties,such as narrow emission bands,long luminescence lifetimes,and multiple colors.However,current development of RE-doped luminescent material is hindered by weak and narrowband absorption problems and low photon-conversion quantum efficiencies.In addition to conventional approaches to enhance fluorescence intensity,controlling emission directivity to improve detection efficiency has become a promising approach to obtain higher luminescence brightnesses.In this paper,a self-suspended RE-doped UC luminescent waveguide is designed to realize directional emissions.Benefitting from the special morphology of the crown-like NaYF4:Yb3+/Er3+microparticle,the points contact between the waveguide and substrate can be obtained to decrease energy loss.An attractive UC luminescent pattern accompanied by powerful and controllable directional emissions is observed,and the spatial emission angle and intensity distribution are explored and analyzed in detail by introducing Fourier imaging detection and simulation.This work provides a new method for achieving controllable directional fluorescence emissions and obtaining improved detection efficiency by narrowing emission directivity,which has potential applications in 3-dimensional displays and micro-optoelectronic devices,especially when fabricating self-fluorescence micron lasers.Changjian Zhang Chengyun Zhang Zhenglong Zhang Tao He Xiaohu Mi Ting Kong Zhengkun Fu Hairong Zheng Hongxing Xu 2020Opto-Electronic Advances2020,3,6:3
8Preparation and characterization of highly active nanosized strontium-doped lanthanum cobaltate catalysts with high surface areas显示文摘La1?xSrxCoO3?δ (x=0, 0.4) nanoparticles have been prepared using the citric acid complex-ing-hydrothermal synthesis coupled method and citric acid complexing method. The physico-chemical properties of these materials were characterized by means of X-ray diffraction (XRD), high resolution scanning electron microscopy (HRSEM), element analysis (EDX), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopic (XPS), oxygen temperature-programmed desorption (O2-TPD), hydrogen temperature-programmed re-duction (H2-TPR) as well as surface area measure-ments and oxidation state titration. Their catalytic performance was examined for the total oxidation of ethylacetate (EA). It is found that the La1?xSrxCoO3?δ (x=0, 0.4) catalysts were single-phase and rhombo-hedrally-structured perovskites and their surface ar-eas ranged from 16 to 26 m2/g. The Sr-doped sample derived from the coupled procedure was uniformly distributed nanoparticles with a short rod-shaped morphology. The doping of Sr (i) enhanced the con-centrations of Co3+ and oxygen vacancies, (ii) in-creased the amount of oxygen adsorbed on the sur-face at low temperatures, (iii) promoted the mobility of lattice oxygen, and (iv) improved the properties of redox. The La0.6Sr0.4CoO2.78 catalyst prepared by the citric acid complexing-hydrothermal synthesis cou-pled strategy performed the best in the oxidation of EA, furthermore no partially oxidized products were formed. 9Monitoring p21 mRNA expression in living cell based on molecular beacon fluorescence increasing rate显示文摘Studying the expression level of mRNA in living cells will offer tremendous opportunities for ad-vancement in cell biology research,disease diagnostics,and drug discovery.In this paper,a molecular beacon(MB)specific for the important tumor suppressor gene p21 has been designed and synthesized.The fluorescence signal was detected in real-time after the MB entered the cytoplasm of nasopharyn-geal carcinoma cells.After injecting the p21MB into nasopharyngeal carcinoma cell and p33-trans-fected nasopharyngeal carcinoma cell,the consistent increase of fluorescent signal intensity was de-tected in both cell lines,and maximum fluorescence intensity achieved in about 15 min.In about 4 min following microinjection,the fluorescence increasing rate was significantly different between these two cell lines,which indicate the different p21 mRNA expression levels.The results obtained in the real-time detection were also validated by RT-PCR.Analysis of the initial fluorescence increasing rate can effi-ciently reduce the side effect of enzyme and improve the accuracy in living cell mRNA detection.TANG HongXing YANG XiaoHai WANG KeMin TAN WeiHong LIU Bin HE LiFang WANG Wei 2008Chinese Science Bulletin2008,53,3:2
10A comparative investigation of NdSrCu_(1-x) Co_x O_(4-δ) and Sm_(1.8) Ce_(0.2) Cu_(1-x) Co_x O_(4-δ) (x:0–0.4) for NO decomposition显示文摘A series of single-phase T-structured NdSrCu 1-x Co x O 4-δ with oxygen vacancies and T -structured Sm 1.8 Ce 0.2 Cu 1-x Co x O 4-δ (x: 0–0.4) with oxygen excess were prepared using ultrasound-assisted citric acid complexing method, and characterized by means of techniques such as thermogravimetric analysis and NO temperature-programmed desorption (NO-TPD). The catalytic activities of these materials were evaluated for the decomposition of NO. It was found that the NdSrCu 1-x Co x O 4-δ catalysts were of oxygen vacancies whereas the Sm 1.8 Ce 0.2 Cu 1-x Co x O 4-δ ones possessed excessive oxygen (i.e., over-stoichiometric oxygen); with a rise in Co doping level, the oxygen vacancy density of NdSrCu 1-x Co x O 4-δ decreased while the over-stoichiometric oxygen amount of Sm 1.8 Ce 0.2 Cu 1-x Co x O 4-δ increased. The NO-TPD results revealed that NO could be activated much easier over the oxygen-deficient perovskite-like oxides than over the oxygen-excessive perovskite-like oxides, with the NdSrCuO 3.702 catalyst showing the best efficiency in activating NO molecules. Under the conditions of 1.0% NO/helium, 2800 hr -1 , and 600–900°C, the catalytic activity of NO decomposition followed the order of NdSrCuO 3.702 > NdSrCu 0.8 Co 0.2 O 3.736 > NdSrCu 0.6 Co 0.4 O 3.789 > Sm 1.8 Ce 0.2 Cu 0.6 Co 0.4 O 4.187 > Sm 1.8 Ce 0.2 Cu 0.8 Co 0.2 O 4.104 > Sm 1.8 Ce 0.2 CuO 4.045 , in concord with the sequence of decreasing oxygen vacancy or oxygen excess density.
