| 1 | Effect of Short-term Forest Bathing in Urban Parks on Perceived Anxiety of Young-adults: A Pilot Study in Guiyang, Southwest China显示文摘Forest can be taken as a natural therapy to alleviate perceived anxiety of visitors. Given the geographical difference between urban and rural forest environments, little is known about the urban forest therapy effect of anxiety alleviation with reference to the rural forest. In this study, forty-three university students(aged from 19 to 23) were recruited as participants to visit the forest parks at urban and rural areas of Guiyang City on 21 and 23 December 2016. The forest experience was separated by four sceneries. Participants were asked to complete questionnaires by self-evaluating specific anxiety change from 12 questions with scores from 1 to 10 at both entrance and exit of the parks. The Wilcoxon signed-rank test and paired t-test were used to compare the change of anti-anxiety scores during forest bathing and between urban and rural forests, respectively. Results revealed that forest bathing in the urban park can alleviate the anxiety from financial state(P = 0.0028), exam-pass pressure(P = 0.0040) and love-affair relationship(P = 0.0286). Although rural forest bathing can also alleviate the anxiety from financial state(P = 0.0222), meanwhile, it maintained the anxiety about campus life(P < 0.0001). Forest tree richness tended to be higher in the rural forest park than in the urban one, which in contrast decreased the anxiety alleviation from inter-communication in the rural forest park(P = 0.0487). Principle component analysis indicated that participants tended to perceive more decline of anxiety from social contact in the urban forest. In conclusion, university students were recommended to pay a short visit to the urban forest with partners if they felt anxious about personal affairs and felt necessary to talk with others. | 3 | A new multi-scale analytic algorithm for edge extraction of strawberry leaf images in natural light显示文摘In this study,a new algorithm was proposed for edge extraction of greenhouse strawberry leaf in natural light based on the 4-level daubechies 5(‘db5’)wavelet decomposition.This algorithm adopts different segmentation methods for the reconstructed images at different scales to erase the external background and the internal leaf vein interference.There were two advantages of this method.One was that it can provide the abstraction from different spaces to express a same image.The other one was that some image features are hard to be acquired in some scale spaces,while the features are easy to be obtained in other scale spaces.In this image process methods,the Otsu threshold segmentation was to obtain the binary image areas,and the Canny segmentation is to obtain the accurate gradient edges,then the morphological methods and the logical calculus methods were to avoid the fragments inside the leaf area and the adhesions outside the leaf area.Since the strawberry leaf images were different respectively,and the greenhouse optical radiation and reflection may cause local non-uniform illumination of leaf image,the pseudo canny edges of leaf image ere divided into three categories in this research.The first category was the external pseudo canny edges area of the first layer reconstructed leaf image,the second category was the internal pseudo canny edges area in highlight of the third layer reconstructed leaf image,the third category was the internal pseudo canny edges area of significantly different grayscale of the third layer reconstructed leaf image.The different processing methods were constructed for the three kinds of different texture features based on the multi scale reconstructed images,then the complete and the accurate leaf edges without interference were obtained.Finally,the multi scale method was simplified and a remarkably effective segmentation algorithm was deduced for the greenhouse strawberry leaf in natural light. | Wang Jianlun Han Yu Zhao Shuangshuang Zheng Hongxu He Can Cui Xiaoying Xu Yun Chen Jianshu Wang Shuting | 2016 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2016,9,1: | 2 |
| 4 | Injectable melatonin-loaded carboxymethyl chitosan(CMCS)-based hydrogel accelerates wound healing by reducing inflammation and promoting angiogenesis and collagen deposition显示文摘Carboxymethyl chitosan(CMCS)-based hydrogels have antibacterial activity,and have shown the abilities of preventing wound infection,promoting cell proliferation,accelerating collagen deposition,and stimulating hyaluronic acid formation during wound healing.As a hormone produced by the pineal gland in humans and animals,melatonin promotes skin wound healing by regulating the release of inflammatory mediators and accelerating the proliferation and migration of cells,angiogenesis,and collagen deposition.However,the combined effects of CMCS and melatonin on wound healing remain unclear.Injectable CMCS-based hydrogels containing melatonin were prepared,and their healing effects were evaluated using a full-thickness cutaneous wound model in rats.Compared with the control and the hydrogel with no melatonin groups,the melatonin-loaded hydrogel significantly increased the percentage of wound closure,promoted the proliferation of granulation tissue and re-epithelialization,and accelerated collagen deposition.Additionally,the melatonin-loaded hydrogel promoted angiogenesis and vascular endothelial growth factor receptor protein expression and increased the expression of cyclooxygenase-2 and inducible nitric oxide synthase.The melatonin-loaded hydrogel also markedly increased the expression of collagen III,α-smooth muscle actin,and transforming growth factor-β1 proteins and reduced collagen I expression.These results suggest that the melatonin-loaded hydrogel promoted granulation tissue formation and accelerated wound healing by reducing inflammation and promoting angiogenesis and collagen deposition. | Kai Chen Changci Tong Jinge Yang Peifang Cong Ying Liu Xiuyun Shi Xu Liu Jun Zhang Rufei Zou Keshen Xiao Yuyang Ni Lei Xu Mingxiao Hou Hongxu Jin Yunen Liu | 2021 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,4: | 2 |

| 6 | Characteristics of Uranium Mineralization in Red Clastic Formations in the Southwestern Margin of the Ordos Basin显示文摘In the southwestern margin of the Ordos Basin,uranium mineralization is primarily hosted by predominantly oxidative red clastic formations in the Lower Cretaceous.The main target layers for uranium exploration are the Madongshan and Liwaxia formations of the Liupanshan Group,followed by the Jingchuan Formation of the Zhidan Group.The host rocks(medium-fine feldspar quartz sandstone),which are bleached to a light grayish white color,contain a minor organic matter component and pyrite.Uranium mineralization changes from surficial infiltration or phreatic oxidation in the upper part to interlayer oxidation in the lower part.Uranium ore bodies are mostly lenticular or tabular in shape,locally shaped like crescent rolls.Individual ore bodies are typically small and shallow.Uranium predominantly manifests as pitchblende and coffinite.Coffinite is usually short and columnar or granular in habit,whereas pitchblende occurs as an irregular colloidal covering on the surface or in fissures of ferric oxide,silicate,clay or carbonate.Secondary uranium minerals are torbernite,uranophane,and uranopilite.Minerals associated with uranium are mainly pyrite,chalcopyrite and,to a minor extent,arsenopyrite and fluorite.The associated elements are Mo,V,Se,Co,Ni,and Mn,the host sandstone being high in Cu and Ba.Overall,the red clastic formations in the southwestern margin of the Ordos Basin are characterized by’five multiples but one low’which means multiple target layers,multiple stages of mineralization,multiple ore body shapes,multiple kinds of uranium minerals,multiple associated elements,but low organic matter.This implies an overall complex uranium metallogenic environment and mineralization process.It is recommended that future uranium exploration should take into consideration regional metallogenic conditions and mineralization features,with target layers in the wide-smooth synclinal slope being focused on.Most uranium deposits are small to medium in size,and the main type of uranium mineralization can vary by target layer. | ZHANG Zilong HE Feng YI Longsheng FAN Honghai CAI Yuqi LIU Hongxu LIU Xinyang CHEN Hongbin JIA Cui YANG Mengjia | 2020 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2020,94,5: | 1 |

| 11 | Acupoint application therapies for essential hypertension:a systematic review and Meta-analysis显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the efficacy and safety of acupoint application therapies(AA)for hypertension.METHODS:We searched Pub Med,EMBASE,the Cochrane Center Controlled Trials Register,Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure,Chinese Scientific Journal Database,and Wanfang Med Online Database from their inceptions to October 7,2019.No language restriction was applied.We included randomized clinical trials testing AA against Western Medicine,AA versus placebo,AA combined with Western Medicine versus Western Medicine.Study selection,data extraction,quality assessment,and data analyses were conducted according to the Cochrane standards.RESULTS:Totally 41 trials with 3772 participants were included.The methodological quality of the included trials was evaluated as generally low.AA plus Western Medicine significantly lowered systolic blood pressure(BP)[weighted mean difference(WMD):-10.36,95%confidence intervals(CI):-12.62,-8.10;P<0.00001],diastolic BP(WMD:-5.71,95%CI:-7.30,-4.13;P<0.00001),and total effect[risk ratio(RR):1.23,95%CI:1.15,1.32;P<0.00001].The BP-lowering effect of AA was significantly higher than that of placebo[systolic BP(SBP):-8.05,95%CI:-8.67,-7.43;P<0.00001;diastolic BP(DBP):-6.66,95%CI:-7.31,-6.01,P<0.00001].The total effect also improved significantly from baseline with AA than placebo(RR:10.85,95%CI:4.71,24.98;P<0.00001).Traditional Chinese Medicine symptoms score were significantly reduced by AA compared with Western Medicine(WMD:-1.75,95%CI:-2.52,-0.99;P<0.00001),10 trials reported adverse events,indicating that the safety of SSYX Capsule is still uncertain.CONCLUSIONS:Application therapies may be considered a safe and beneficial for the treatment of hypertension and can reduce BP and improve the total effect.Further well-designed trials are needed to support our conclusions. | LIU Wei XIONG Xingjiang QIAO Lumin CHEN Yuyi LI Yixuan SU Xing CHU Fuyong LIU Hongxu | 2022 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2022,42,2: | 1 |

| 16 | Ag nanoparticle/polymer composite barcode nanorods显示文摘We demonstrate a facile method combining colloidal lithography, selective ion-exchange, and the in situ reduction of Ag ions (Ag+) for the fabrication of multi-segmented barcode nanorods. First, polymer multilayer films were prepared by spin-coating alternating thin films of polystyrene and polyacrylic acid (PAA), and then multi-segmented polymer nanorods were fabricated via reactive ion etching with colloidal masks. Second, Ag nanoparticles (Ag NPs) were incorporated into the PAA segments by an ion exchange and the in situ reduction of the Ag~. The selective incorporation of the Ag NPs permitted the modification of the specific bars of the nanorods. Lastly, the Ag NP/polymer composite nanorods were released from the substrate to form suspensions for further coding applications. By increasing the number of segments and changing the length of each segment in the nanorods, the coding capacity of nanorods was improved. More importantly, this method can easily realize the density tuning of Ag NPs in different segments of a single nanorod by varying the composition of the PAA segments. | 18 | Optimizing the growth and N status of containerized Australian Blackwood(Acacia melanoxylon)seedlings with exponential nitrogen loading显示文摘Exponential nitrogen(N) loading approach has been used to optimize seedling growth in container seedling production. However, the response of seedling growth to N loading and optimal N loading rates are species-dependent. There is a lack of information on optimal N loading in container production of Australian Blackwood(Acacia melanoxylon) seedlings. In this study, 7 exponential N loading at rates of 0, 50, 100, 200, 300, 400, and 600 mg N seedling-1, respectively, were applied at the week 3, 6, 9, 12 and 14 after transplanting to determine optimal loading approach based on seedling height, root collar diameter(RCD), biomass accumulation and N uptake in tissue-cultured Australian Blackwood(A. melanoxylon) seedlings. Seedlings did not respond to N loading 3 wk after transplanting, then the accumulative addition of N loading for improved RCD and seedling height was 12.99 and 28.02 mg N seedlings-1 in the 100 N and 400 N treatment 6 wk after transplanting, respectively, and on 9 and 12 wk, that for improved seedling growth was 63.64 and 400 mg N seedling-1 in the 200 N and 400 N treatment, respectively. Vector diagnosis of final biomass and N status indicated that the dose of 100 and 400 mg N seedling-1 was characterized to be 'deficient' and 'optimum' dose of exponential N loading for Blackwood seedlings. | 19 | Geographical distribution of Aralia elata characteristics correlated with topography and forest structure in Heilongjiang and Jilin Provinces,Northeast China显示文摘The Araliaceae family consists of numerous species of medical plants of significant value as non-wood forest products.To conserve and culture these plants in natural forest stands is an important undertaking which should be implemented according to the relationship between forest structure and understory population.In this study,thirtyfive plots were established in natural A ralia elata stands.Taller individual and denser populations were found in the northern and in the eastern regions,respectively.Both population densities and individual leaf weight increased along longitude.In contrast,their relationship with elevation and DBH were negative.Along with the altitude gradient,both height and root-collar diameter increased but population density declined.Root-collar diameter and population density decreased with latitude and DBH,respectively.Overall,dominant trees unlikely enforced strong disturbance to the development of understory A.elata populations unless concerning some specific topographic factors. | Hongxu Wei Guoshuang Chen Xin Chen Hengtian Zhao | 2021 | Journal of Forestry Research2021,32,3: | 0 |
