1Modified constraint-induced movement therapy alters synaptic plasticity of rat contralateral hippocampus following middle cerebral artery occlusion显示文摘Modified constraint-induced movement therapy is an effective treatment for neurological and motor impairments in patients with stroke by increasing the use of their affected limb and limiting the contralateral limb.However,the molecular mechanism underlying its efficacy remains unclear.In this study,a middle cerebral artery occlusion(MCAO)rat model was produced by the suture method.Rats received modified constraint-induced movement therapy 1 hour a day for 14 consecutive days,starting from the 7^th day after middle cerebral artery occlusion.Day 1 of treatment lasted for 10 minutes at 2r/min,day 2 for 20 minutes at 2 r/min,and from day 3 onward for 20 minutes at 4 r/min.CatWalk gait analysis,adhesive removal test,and Y-maze test were used to investigate motor function,sensory function as well as cognitive function in rodent animals from the 1st day before MCAO to the 21^st day after MCAO.On the 21^st day after MCAO,the neurotransmitter receptor-related genes from both contralateral and ipsilateral hippocampi were tested by micro-array and then verified by western blot assay.The glutamate related receptor was shown by transmission electron microscopy and the glutamate content was determined by high-performance liquid chromatography.The results of behavior tests showed that modified constraint-induced movement therapy promoted motor and sensory functional recovery in the middle cerebral artery-occluded rats,but had no effect on cognitive function.The modified constraint-induced movement therapy upregulated the expression of glutamate ionotropic receptor AMPA type subunit 3(Gria3)in the hippocampus and downregulated the expression of the beta3-adrenergic receptor gene Adrb3 and arginine vasopressin receptor 1 A,Avprla in the middle cerebral artery-occluded rats.In the ipsilateral hippocampus,only Adra2 a was downregulated,and there was no significant change in Gria3.Transmission electron microscopy revealed a denser distribution the more distribution of postsynaptic glutamate receptor 2/3,which is an a-amino-3-hydroxy-5-methyl-4-isoxazole-propionic acid receptor,within 240 nm of the postsynaptic density in the contralateral cornu ammonis 3 region.The size and distribution of the synaptic vesicles within 100 nm of the presynaptic active zone were unchanged.Western blot analysis showed that modified constraint-induced movement therapy also increased the expression of glutamate receptor 2/3 and brain-derived neurotrophic factor in the hippocampus of rats with middle cerebral artery occlusion,but had no effect on Synapsin I levels.Besides,we also found modified constraint-induced movement therapy effectively reduced glutamate content in the contralateral hippocampus.This study demonstrated that modified constraint-induced movement therapy is an effective rehabilitation therapy in middle cerebral artery-occluded rats,and suggests that these positive effects occur via the upregulation of the postsynaptic membrane a-amino-3-hydroxy-5-methyl-4-isoxazole-propionic acid receptor expression.This study was approved by the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee of Fudan University,China(approval No.201802173 S)on March 3,2018.Bei-Yao Gao Dong-Sheng Xu Pei-Le Liu Ce Li Liang Du Yan Hua Jian Hu Jia-Yun Hou Yu-Long Bai 2020Neural Regeneration Research2020,15,6:19

6A survey on multi-sensor fusion based obstacle detection for intelligent ground vehicles in off-road environments显示文摘With the development of sensor fusion technologies, there has been a lot of research on intelligent ground vehicles, where obstacle detection is one of the key aspects of vehicle driving. Obstacle detection is a complicated task, which involves the diversity of obstacles, sensor characteristics, and environmental conditions. While the on-road driver assistance system or autonomous driving system has been well researched, the methods developed for the structured road of city scenes may fail in an off-road environment because of its uncertainty and diversity.A single type of sensor finds it hard to satisfy the needs of obstacle detection because of the sensing limitations in range, signal features, and working conditions of detection, and this motivates researchers and engineers to develop multi-sensor fusion and system integration methodology. This survey aims at summarizing the main considerations for the onboard multi-sensor configuration of intelligent ground vehicles in the off-road environments and providing users with a guideline for selecting sensors based on their performance requirements and application environments.State-of-the-art multi-sensor fusion methods and system prototypes are reviewed and associated to the corresponding heterogeneous sensor configurations. 8Prognostic Values of Serum Chloride and Sodium Levels in Patients with Three-vessel Disease显示文摘Objective Identification of new risk factors is needed to improve prediction of adverse outcomes in patients with three-vessel disease(TVD). The present study aimed to evaluate the prognostic values of serum chloride and sodium levels in patients with TVD. Methods We used data from a prospective cohort of consecutive patients with angiographically confirmed TVD. The primary endpoint was all-cause death. Cox proportional hazard regression was used to analyze the relationship of serum chloride and sodium levels with long-term outcomes of TVD patients. Results A total of 8,318 participants with available serum chloride and sodium data were included in this analysis. At baseline, patients in the low tertiles group of serum chloride level(≤ 102.0 mmol/L) or serum sodium level(≤ 139.0 mmol/L) had more severe disease conditions. During a median follow-up of 7.5-year, both low serum chloride level and low serum sodium level were found to be associated with an increased risk for mortality in univariate analysis. However, when both parameters were incorporated into a multivariate model, only low serum sodium level remained to be an independent predictor of all-cause death(hazard ratio: 1.16, 95% confidence interval: 1.01-1.34, P = 0.041). Modest but significant improvement of discrimination was observed after incorporating serum sodium level into the Synergy between percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI) with Taxus and Cardiac Surgery score. Conclusion Serum sodium level is more strongly associated with long-term outcomes of TVD patients compared with serum chloride level. 10Synthesis of Iron-Carbide Nanoparticles:Identification of the Active Phase and Mechanism of Fe-Based Fischer-Tropsch Synthesis显示文摘Despite the extensive study of the Fe-based Fischer-Tropsch synthesis(FTS)over the past 90 years,its active phases and reaction mechanisms are still unclear due to the coexistence of metals,oxides,and carbide phases presented under realistic FTS reaction conditions and the complex reaction network involving CO activation,C-C coupling,and methane formation.To address these issues,we successfully synthesized a range of pure-phase iron and iron-carbide nanoparticles(Fe,Fe_(5)C_(2),Fe_(3)C,and Fe_(7)C_(3))for the first time.By using them as the ideal model catalysts on high-pressure transient experiments,we identified unambiguously that all the iron carbides are catalytically active in the FTS reaction while Fe_(5)C_(2) is the most active yet stable carbide phase,consistent with density functional theory(DFT)calculation results.The reaction mechanism and kinetics of Fe-based FTS were further explored on the basis of those model catalysts by means of transient high-pressure stepwise temperature-programmed surface reaction(STPSR)experiments and DFT calculations.Our work provides new insights into the active phase of iron carbides and corresponding FTS reaction mechanism,which is essential for better iron-based catalyst design for FTS reactions.Huabo Zhao Jin-Xun Liu Ce Yang Siyu Yao Hai-Yan Su Zirui Gao Mei Dong Junhu Wang Alexandre I.Rykov Jianguo Wang Yanglong Hou Wei-Xue Li Ding Ma 2021CCS Chemistry2021,3,11:1
11Degradation of Rhodamine B by MnFe-LDH/PMS/O3 three-phase catalytic system: performance, mechanism and ecotoxicity studies显示文摘This study developed a novel MnFe-LDH/PMS/O3 three-phase catalytic system to degrade the organic dye RhB, which was used to address the drawbacks of persulfate oxidation and ozonation techniques. The structure, ionic and elemental composition, specific surface area, and magnetic properties of the LDHs were investigated using a variety of physicochemical characterization tools. The results showed that MnFe-LDH had a large specific surface area, a rich crystalline phase composition, and a functional group structure. The RhB degradation rate of MnFe-LDH/PMS/O3 was 0.34 min−1, which was much higher than that of other comparative systems. RhB could be completely degraded in 10 min after optimization and had a significant effect on TOC removal. The system was found to be effective over a wide pH range. Common anions were largely unaffected and humic acid acted as an inhibitor. At the same time, the system had generally effective degradation performance for different dyes. Combined with quenching experiments and EPR, it was found that SO4•−, •OH, O_(2)•−, and 1O_(2) all participated in the reaction, and •OH contributed more. The degradation pathway of RhB was derived by LC-MS, and the T.E.S.T. evaluation found that the toxicity of the intermediate product was significantly reduced. Finally, the stability and availability of LDHs were verified using cycling experiments and metal ion leaching. 13Integration of Biological Synthesis&Chemical Catalysis:Bio-based Plasticizer trans-Aconitates显示文摘Plasticizers are essential to reduce processing difficulties and improve plastic properties.However,petroleumbased phthalate plasticizers,which are mostly used at present,urgently require alternatives due to their con-firmed and serious health risks.In this study,the green mass production of trans-aconitic acid was achieved via synthetic biotechnology and microbial fermentation,which was further expanded to multiple application sce-narios using chemical esterification,resulting in trans-aconitate plasticizers that are biosafe and environmentally friendly and have high plasticizing efficiency and long-term stability.Different plasticizers with various core structures and alkyl chains were studied to determine their properties as polyvinyl chloride(PVC)plasticizers,and tributyl trans-aconitate displayed the best comprehensive performance with up to 1.24 plasticizing effi-ciency.The possible PVC plasticization mechanism with synergistic solvent,support,and shielding effects was discussed and summarized.Tributyl trans-aconitate has significant potential to replace traditional PVC plasti-cizers in general merchandise,food packaging,medicinal materials,and other products,further promoting the development of the high-quality plastic industry with greener technology and safer applications.Hongbin Hou Xuenian Huang Zhiqiang Du Jian Guo Min Wang Guangqiang Xu Ce Geng Yunpeng Zhang Qinggang Wang Xuefeng Lu 2023Green Carbon2023,1,1:0
