1Deep-learning-based extraction of the animal migration patterns from weather radar images显示文摘Continental coverage and year-round operation of the weather radar networks provide an unprecedented opportunity for studying large-scale airborne migration.The broad and local-scale airborne information collected by these infrastructures can answer many ecological questions.However,extracting and interpreting the biological information from such massive weather radar data remains an intractable problem.Recently,many big-data problems have been solved using the deep learning technology.In this study,the biological information in the weather radar data is identified using the advanced deep learning method.The proposed method consists of two main parts,i.e.,a rendering and casting procedure and an image segmentation procedure based on a convolutional neural network.The biological data are automatically extracted by rendering and mapping,image segmentation,and result masking.By analyzing the typical radar data from single and multiple stations,we partly reveal the intensity and speed of the migration pattern.We present the first feasibility study of the extraction of local and large-scale biological phenomena from the Chinese weather radar network data.Kai CUI Cheng HU Rui WANG Yi SUI Huafeng MAO Huayu LI 2020Science China(Information Sciences)2020,63,4:11
2Configuration Synthesis and Performance Analysis of 9‑Speed Automatic Transmissions显示文摘Current research of automatic transmission(AT)mainly focuses on the improvement of driving performance,and configuration innovation is one of the main research directions.However,finding new configurations of ATs is one of the main limitations of configuration innovation.In the present study,epicyclic gear trains(EGTs)are applied to investigate mechanisms of 9-speed ATs.Then four kinematic configurations are proposed for automatic transitions.In order to evaluate the performance of proposed mechanisms,the lever analogy method is applied to conduct kinematic and mechanical analyses.The power flow analysis is conducted,and then transmission efficiencies are calculated based on the torque method.The comparative analysis between the proposed and existing mechanisms is carried out where obtained results show that proposed mechanisms have reasonable performance and can be used in ATs.The prototype of an AT is manufactured and the speed test is conducted,which proves the accuracy of analysis and the feasibility of proposed mechanisms.Huafeng Ding Changwang Cai Ziming Chen Tao Ke Bowen Mao 2020Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2020,33,3:0
3PGAM5 deacetylation mediated by SIRT2 facilitates lipid metabolism and liver cancer proliferation显示文摘Tumor metabolic reprogramming and epigenetic modification work together to promote tumorigenesis and development.Protein lysine acetylation,which affects a variety of biological functions of proteins,plays an important role under physiological and pathological conditions.Here,through immunoprecipitation and mass spectrum data,we show that phosphoglycerate mutase 5(PGAM5)deacetylation enhances malic enzyme 1(ME1)metabolic enzyme activity to promote lipid synthesis and proliferation of liver cancer cells.Mechanistically,we demonstrate that the deacetylase SIRT2 mediates PGAM5 deacetylation to activate ME1 activity,leading to ME1 dephosphorylation,subsequent lipid accumulation and the proliferation of liver cancer cells.Taken together,our study establishes an important role for the SIRT2-PGAM5-ME1 axis in the proliferation of liver cancer cells,suggesting a potential innovative cancer therapy.Gongyu Fu Shi-Ting Li Zetan Jiang Qiankun Mao Nanchi Xiong Xiang Li Yijie Hao Huafeng Zhang 2023Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2023,55,9:0
