| 2 | Clustering mechanism for electric tomography imaging显示文摘Electrical tomography(ET) imaging,developed in the 1980s,has attracted much industrial and research attentions owing to its low cost,quick response,lack of radiation exposure,and non-intrusiveness compared to other tomography modalities.However,to date applications thereof have been limited owing to its low imaging resolution.The issue with space resolution in existing ET imaging reconstruction methods is that they employ a mathematical approach based on an ill-posed equation with inconsistent solutions.In this paper,we propose a novel ET imaging method based on a data-driven approach.By recovering the cluster structures hidden in the ET imaging process followed by the application of a fuzzy clustering algorithm to identify the cluster structures,there is no need to study the ill-posed mathematical formulation.The proposed method has been tested by means of three experiments,including image reconstructions of a human lung image and plastic rode shape,as well as two simulations executed on the Comsol platform.The results show that the proposed method can reconstruct ET images with much higher space resolution more quickly than the existing algorithms. | YUE ShiHong WUTeresa CUI LiJun WANG HuaXiang | 2012 | Science China(Information Sciences)2012,55,12: | 9 |
| 3 | An unsupervised grid-based approach for clustering analysis显示文摘In recent years, the growing volume of data in numerous clustering tasks has greatly boosted the existing clustering algorithms in dealing with very large datasets. The K-means has been one of the most popular clustering algorithms because of its simplicity and easiness in application, but its effciency and effectiveness for large datasets are often unacceptable. In contrast to the K-means algorithm, most existing grid-clustering algorithms have linear time and space complexities and thus can perform well for large datasets. In this paper, we propose a grid-based partitional algorithm to overcome the drawbacks of the K-means clustering algorithm. This new algorithm is based on two major concepts: 1) maximizing the average density of a group of grids instead of minimizing the minimal square error which is applied in the K-means algorithm, and 2) using grid- clustering algorithms to thoroughly reformulate the object-driven assigning in the K-means algorithm into a new grid-driven assigning. Consequently, our proposed algorithm obtains an average speed-up about 10-100 times faster and produces better partitions than those by the K-means algorithm. Also, compared with the K-means algorithm, our proposed algorithm has ability to partition any dataset when the number of clusters is unknown. | 4 | A Novel Unsupervised Two-Stage Technique in Color Image Segmentation显示文摘A new unsupervised two-stage method for color image segmentation is proposed. The method contains coarse segmentation and delicate segmentation. In coarse segmentation, we adaptively choose a gray channel from CIE-lab color space. The Otsu method combined with a refinement to its threshold is applied to get global optimal segmentation. In delicate segmentation, a narrowband based procedure is applied to get more accurate contour of the object and local optimal segmentation is achieved. Our method finally balance the global optimal and the local optimal. The proposed method does not need initial contours or initial labels, thus it is more robust in certain applications. Experimental results of our method in MSRA1000 database show that our method is robust in segmenting objects and backgrounds when possessing weakly heterogeneous color. | 7 | Cd3(C3N3S3)2 coordination polymer/graphene nanoarchitectures for enhanced photocatalytic H2O2 production under visible light显示文摘For a long time, there has been global concern over the environment and energy problems. Recently, the problems, which have brought about serious effect on the global living condition, have been in the ‘‘spotlight' and given impetus to the universal's efforts to head for the same direction: stem the worst warming and strive for the renewable energy source. Hydrogen peroxide(H_2O_2) is undoubtedly a good choice,which holds the promise as a clean, efficient, safe and transferrable energy carrier. Octahedral coordination polymer, Cd_3(C_3N_3S_3)_2, was found to be a robust photocatalyst for H_2O_2 generation under visible light irradiation. To further improve the H_2O_2 generation efficiency, adhering the octahedron to reduced graphene(rGO) was applied as the strategy herein. The study shows that by adhering Cd_3(C_3N_3S_3)_2to rGO, the formation of H_2O_2 is 2.5-fold enhanced and its deformation is concurrently suppressed. | 8 | The Formation Control of Multi-agent Systems on a Circle显示文摘This paper investigates the formation control of a class of multi-agent systems moving on a circle, whose topology is a cyclic graph, and presents several new results for the following two cases: Case I, the agents with single-integrator kinematics,and Case II, the agents with double-integrator kinematics. Firstly,for Case I, two control protocols are proposed under which the multiagent systems keep a uniformly-spaced formation. Secondly,we study Case II, and a control protocol is designed for this case, then the stability of the formation is proved. Finally, three simulations are studied by using our presented results. | 9 | Online monitoring of gas-solid two-phase flow using projected CG method in ECT image reconstruction显示文摘Electrical capacitance tomography(ECT)is a promising technique for multi-phase flow measurement due to its high speed,low cost and non-intrusive sensing.Image reconstruction for ECT is an inverse problem of finding the permittivity distribution of an object by measuring the electrical capacitances between sets of electrodes placed around its periphery.The conjugate gradient(CG)method is a popular image reconstruction method for ECT,in spite of its low convergence rate.In this paper,an advanced version of the CG method,the projected CG method,is used for image reconstruction of an ECT system.The solution space is projected into the Krylov subspace and the inverse problem is solved by the CG method in a low-dimensional specific subspace.Both static and dynamic experiments were carried out for gas-solid two-phase flows.The flow regimes are identified using the reconstructed images obtained with the projected CG method.The results obtained indicate that the projected CG method improves the quality of reconstructed images and dramatically reduces computation time,as compared to the traditional sensitivity,Landweber,and CG methods.Furthermore,the projected CG method was also used to estimate the important parameters of the pneumatic conveying process,such as the volume concentration,flow velocity and mass flow rate of the solid phase.Therefore,the projected CG method is considered suitable for online gas-solid two-phase flow measurement. | Qi Wang Chengyi Yang Huaxiang Wang Ziqiang Cui Zhentao Gao | 2013 | Particuology2013,11,2: | 4 |
| 10 | An Angle Structure Descriptor for Image Retrieval显示文摘This paper presents an efficient image feature representation method, namely angle structure descriptor(ASD), which is built based on the angle structures of images. According to the diversity in directions, angle structures are defined in local blocks. Combining color information in HSV color space, we use angle structures to detect images. The internal correlations between neighboring pixels in angle structures are explored to form a feature vector. With angle structures as bridges, ASD extracts image features by integrating multiple information as a whole, such as color, texture, shape and spatial layout information. In addition, the proposed algorithm is efficient for image retrieval without any clustering implementation or model training. | 11 | Growth mechanism of palladium clusters on rutile TiO_2 (110) surface显示文摘Oxide-supported transition metal systems have been the subject of enormous interest due to the improvement of catalytic properties relative to the separate metal.Thus in this paper,we embark on a systematic study for Pd n (n=1-5) clusters adsorbed on TiO2 (110) surface based on DFT-GGA calculations utilizing periodic supercell models.A single Pd adatom on the defect-free surface prefers to adsorb at a hollow site bridging a protruded oxygen and a five-fold titanium atom along the [110] direction,while Pd dimer is located on the channels with the Pd-Pd bond parallel to the surface.According to the transition states (TSs) search,the adsorbed Pd trimer tends to triangular growth mode,rather than linear mode,while the Pd4 and Pd5 clusters prefer three-dimensional (3D) models.However,the oxygen vacancy has almost no influence on the promotion of Pd n cluster nucleation.Additionally,of particular significance is that the Pd-TiO2 interaction is the main driving force at the beginning of Pd nucleation,whereas the Pd-Pd interaction gets down to control the growth process of Pd cluster as the cluster gets larger.It is hoped that our theoretical study would shed light on further designing high-performance TiO2 supported Pd-based catalysts. | Weina Zhao Huaxiang Lin Yi Li Yongfan Zhang Xin Huang Wenkai Chen | 2012 | Journal of Natural Gas Chemistry2012,21,5: | 3 |

Given the unstable agent dynamics and a known communication delay, two consensus protocols are designed to guarantee consensus over undirected network. Especially, the maximum delay bound is derived when the network topology is completely connected. | 13 | lncRNAX-inactive-specific transcript is a potential biomarker related to changes in CD4+T cell levels in systemic lupus erythematosus显示文摘Background:Systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE)is a particularly heterogeneous autoimmune disease.This study was intended to clarify the correlations between X-inactive-specific transcript(XIST)expression and SLE clinical features and the contribution of XIST to SLE pathogenesis at the transcriptome level.Methods:XIST expression in 79 SLE patients,14 rheumatoid arthritis patients,and 23 healthy controls was determined by quantitative polymerase chain reaction.The Benjamini and Hochberg adjusted method and multivariate linear regression were applied to correct p-values and adjust confounding factors,respectively.Bioinformatic methods were used to explore the function and regulatory mechanism of XIST.Results:XIST was significantly elevated in peripheral blood mononuclear cells and CD4^(+)T cells from SLE patients compared with the levels in healthy controls and had potential diagnostic value for SLE.Notably,XIST expression was positively correlated with the SLE disease activity index and significantly reduced after effective treatment.Moreover,SLE patients with high XIST expression tended to have elevated levels of CD4^(+)T cells,but reduced levels of NK cells.Bioinformatic analyses suggested that XIST may regulate OLFM4 and CEACAM8 expression by acting as a spongy body for miR-20a,miR-92a,miR-106a,and miR-449a.Furthermore,CEACAM8 was significantly upregulated in CD4^(+)T cells from SLE patients and significantly positively correlated with XIST expression.Conclusions:lncRNA XIST,a potential diagnostic and therapeutic biomarker for SLE,is involved in the change of immune cell balance in the peripheral blood of SLE patients.Mechanistically,XIST may regulate the miR-17-92-CEACAM8 axis to achieve this in CD4^(+)T cells. | Qi Cheng Xin Chen Jieying Xu Mo Chen Peiyu Zhang Huaxiang Wu Yan Du | 2022 | Rheumatology & Autoimmunity2022,2,3: | 2 |
