2Table-like magnetocaloric effect and large refrigerant capacity of composite magnetic refrigerants based on LaFe_(11.6)Si_(1.4)H_y alloys显示文摘Composite magnetic refrigerants were prepared by physical mixing LaFe_(11.6)Si_(1.4)H_y alloys with different Curie temperatures(Tc). The phase structures of these LaFe_(11.6)Si_(1.4)H_y alloys were analyzed by X-ray diffraction(XRD) and the magnetocaloric effect(MCE) and refrigerant capacity(RC) of these composite magnetic refrigerants were investigated by experiment and calculation in this paper. The magnetocaloric effect(MCE) and refrigerant capacity(RC) of these composite magnetic refrigerants were investigated by experiment and calculation in this paper. The results indicate the experimental magnetic entropy change(-△S_M)-Tcurve corresponds reasonably with the(-△S_M)-Tcurve calculated by the linear combination of(-△S_M)-T curves of the single material. An optimal mixing ratio can make the composite magnetic refrigerant possess a table-like(-△S_M)-Tcurve which is beneficial to magnetic Ericsson cycle. When three LaFe_(11.6)Si_(1.4)H_y alloys with different T_c are mixed, the full width at half maximum(△T_(FWHM)) of(-△S_M)-T curves is about 48.7 K and the RC is about 177.76 J/kg under a magnetic field change of 2 T. 3Polydopamine and collagen coated micro-grated polydimethylsiloxane for human mesenchymal stem cell culture显示文摘Natural tissues contain highly organized cellular architecture.One of the major challenges in tissue engineering is to develop engineered tissue constructs that promote cellular growth in physiological directionality.To address this issue,micro-patterned polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS)substrates have been widely used in cell sheet engineering due to their low microfabrication cost,higher stability,excellent biocompatibility,and most importantly,ability to guide cellular growth and patterning.However,the current methods for PDMS surface modification either require a complicated procedure or generate a non-uniform surface coating,leading to the production of poor-quality cell layers.A simple and efficient surface coating method is critically needed to improve the uniformity and quality of the generated cell layers.Herein,a fast,simple and inexpensive surface coating method was analyzed for its ability to uniformly coat polydopamine(PD)with or without collagen on micro-grated PDMS substrates without altering essential surface topographical features.Topographical feature,stiffness and cytotoxicity of these PD and/or collagen based surface coatings were further analyzed.Results showed that the PD-based coating method facilitated aligned and uniform cell growth,therefore holds great promise for cell sheet engineering as well as completely biological tissue biomanufacturing.Dhavan Sharma Wenkai Jia Fei Long Shweta Pati Qinghui Chen Yibing Qyang Bruce Lee Chang Kyong Choi Feng Zhao 2019Bioactive Materials2019,4,1:4

5Growth mechanism of palladium clusters on rutile TiO_2 (110) surface显示文摘Oxide-supported transition metal systems have been the subject of enormous interest due to the improvement of catalytic properties relative to the separate metal.Thus in this paper,we embark on a systematic study for Pd n (n=1-5) clusters adsorbed on TiO2 (110) surface based on DFT-GGA calculations utilizing periodic supercell models.A single Pd adatom on the defect-free surface prefers to adsorb at a hollow site bridging a protruded oxygen and a five-fold titanium atom along the [110] direction,while Pd dimer is located on the channels with the Pd-Pd bond parallel to the surface.According to the transition states (TSs) search,the adsorbed Pd trimer tends to triangular growth mode,rather than linear mode,while the Pd4 and Pd5 clusters prefer three-dimensional (3D) models.However,the oxygen vacancy has almost no influence on the promotion of Pd n cluster nucleation.Additionally,of particular significance is that the Pd-TiO2 interaction is the main driving force at the beginning of Pd nucleation,whereas the Pd-Pd interaction gets down to control the growth process of Pd cluster as the cluster gets larger.It is hoped that our theoretical study would shed light on further designing high-performance TiO2 supported Pd-based catalysts.Weina Zhao Huaxiang Lin Yi Li Yongfan Zhang Xin Huang Wenkai Chen 2012Journal of Natural Gas Chemistry2012,21,5:3
6Density functional theory for adsorption of HCHO on the FeO(100) surface显示文摘The density functional theory (DFT) and periodic slab model were used to get information concerning the adsorption of HCHO on the FeO(100) surface. A preferred η2-(C,O)-di-σ four-membered ring adsorption conformation on the Fe-top site was found to be the most favorable structure with the predicted adsorption energy of 210.7 kJ/mol. 7The chromosome-level reference genome of Coptis chinensis provides insights into genomic evolution and berberine biosynthesis显示文摘Coptis chinensis Franch, a perennial herb, is mainly distributed in southeastern China. The rhizome of C. chinensis hasbeen used as a traditional medicine for more than 2000 years in China and many other Asian countries. Thepharmacological activities of C. chinensis have been validated by research. Here, we present a de novo high-qualitygenome of C. chinensis with a chromosome-level genome of ~958.20 Mb, a contig N50 of 1.58 Mb, and a scaffold N50of 4.53 Mb. We found that the relatively large genome size of C. chinensis was caused by the amplification of longterminal repeat (LTR) retrotransposons. In addition, a whole-genome duplication event in ancestral Ranunculales wasdiscovered. Comparative genomic analysis revealed that the tyrosine decarboxylase (TYDC) and (S)-norcoclaurinesynthase (NCS) genes were expanded and that the aspartate aminotransferase gene (ASP5) was positively selected inthe berberine metabolic pathway. Expression level and HPLC analyses showed that the berberine content was highestin the roots of C. chinensis in the third and fourth years. 8Estimating Seismic Intensity Maps of the 2021 Mw 7.3 Madoi,Qinghai and Mw 6.1 Yangbi,Yunnan,China Earthquakes显示文摘This study focuses on rapidly determining seismic intensity maps of earthquakes because it offers fundamental information for effective emergency rescue and subsequent scientific research,and remains challenging to accurately determine seismic intensity map in regions with sparse instrumental observations.Here we applied a novel method that consisted of array technology(backprojection),ground-motion prediction equations,and site corrections,to estimate the seismic intensity maps of the 2021 Mw 7.3 Madoi,Qinghai and the Mw 6.1 Yangbi,Yunnan,China earthquakes.We used seismic data recorded at European stations to back-project the source processes of the 2021 Mw7.3 Madoi,Qinghai and the Mw 6.1 Yangbi,Yunnan,China earthquakes.The back-projected energy radiations were then used as subevents or used to define the fault geometry.Summing the contributions of each subevent or estimating the shortest distances from each site to the rupture fault,we obtained the ground motion(PGA and PGV)for each site under rock site conditions.The estimated ground motions were corrected at each site for local site amplification according to the Vs30 database.Our estimated seismic intensity maps and field reports showed high similarity,which further validated the effectiveness of the novel approach,and pushed the limit of earthquake size down to~M 6.Such efforts would substantially help in the fast and accurate evaluation of earthquake damage,and precise rescue efforts.Wenkai Chen Dun Wang Can Zhang Qiang Yao Hongjun Si 2022Journal of Earth Science2022,33,4:2
9Density functional theory study of CO catalytic oxidation on Co_2B_2/TiO_2(110) surface显示文摘Titanium dioxide with CoB amorphous alloys nanoparticles deposited on the surface is known to exhibit higher catalytic activity than the CoB amorphous.A study of the structure of such system is necessary to understand this effect.A quantum chemical study of Co2B2 on the TiO2(110) surface was studied using periodic slab model within the framework of density functional theory(DFT).The results of geometry optimization indicated that the most stable model of adsorption was Co2B2 cluster adsorbed on the hollow site of TiO2 .The adsorption energy calculated for Co2B2 on the hollow site was 439.3 kJ/mol.The adsorption of CO and O2 was further studied and the results indicated that CO and O2 are preferred to adsorb on the Co2 site.Co-adsorption of CO and O2 shows that Co2B2 /TiO2 is a good catalyst for the oxidation of CO to carbon dioxide in the presence of oxygen.Qingsong Zeng Wenkai Chen Yongfan Zhang Wenxin Dai Xin Guo 2010Journal of Natural Gas Chemistry2010,19,3:2

11Prediction of thermodynamic properties of actinide and lanthanide compounds显示文摘Several relationship models for thermodynamic functions of actinide and lanthanide compounds are built. The descriptors such as the difference of atomic radii between metal atoms and nonmetal atoms and the molecular mass are used in quantitative structure-activity/property relationships. The relative errors for entropy and heat capacity are less than 20% in the majority of gaseous compounds. 14Preliminary report of the September 5,2022 M_(S) 6.8 Luding earthquake,Sichuan,China显示文摘The 2022 M_(S)6.8 Luding earthquake is the strongest earthquake in Sichuan Province, Western China, since the 2017 M_(S)7.0 Jiuzhaigou earthquake. It occurred on the Moxi fault in the southeastern segment of the Xianshuihe fault, a tectonically active and mountainous region with severe secondary earthquake disasters. To better understand the seismogenic mechanism and provide scientific support for future hazard mitigation, we summarize the preliminary results of the Luding earthquake, including seismotectonic background, seismicity and mainshock source characteristics and aftershock properties, and direct and secondary damage associated with the mainshock.The peak ground displacements in the NS and EW directions observed by the nearest GNSS station SCCM are ~35 mm and ~55 mm, respectively, resulting in the maximum coseismic dislocation of 20 mm along the NWW direction, which is consistent with the sinistral slip on the Xianshuihe fault. Back-projection of teleseismic P waves suggest that the mainshock rupture propagated toward south-southeast. The seismic intensity of the mainshock estimated from the back-projection results indicates a Mercalli scale of Ⅷ or above near the ruptured area,consistent with the results from instrumental measurements and field surveys. Numerous aftershocks were reported, with the largest being M_(S)4.5. Aftershock locations(up to September 18, 2022) exhibit 3 clusters spanning an area of 100 km long and 30 km wide. The magnitude and rate of aftershocks decreased as expected, and the depths became shallower with time. The mainshock and two aftershocks show left-lateral strike-slip focal mechanisms. For the aftershock sequence, the b-value from the Gutenberg-Richter frequency-magnitude relationship, h-value, and p-value for Omori’s law for aftershock decay are 0.81, 1.4, and 1.21, respectively, indicating that this is a typical mainshock-aftershock sequence. The low b-value implies high background stress in the hypocenter region. Analysis from remote sensing satellite images and UAV data shows that the distribution of earthquake-triggered landslides was consistent with the aftershock area. 18Structure-based linker optimization of 6-(2-cyclohexyl-1-alkyl)-2-(2-oxo-2-phenylethylsulfanyl)pyrimidin-4(3H)-ones as potent non-nucleoside HIV-1 reverse transcriptase inhibitors显示文摘In continuation of our efforts toward the discovery of potent HIV-1 NNRTIs with diverse structures,a series of novel S-DACO analogues of 6-(2-cyclohexyl-1-allkyl)-2-(2-oxo-2-phenyl-ethylsulfanyl)pyrimidin-4(3 H)-ones were designed,synthesized and evaluated for their antiviral activities in MT-4 cells.Most of these new compounds showed moderate to good activities against wild type HIV-1 with IC_(50) values ranging from 7.55μmol/L to 0.018μmol/L.Among them,compound 5 c was identified as the most promising inhibitor against HIV-1 replication with an IC_(50)=0.018μmol/L,CC_(50)=194μmol/L,and SI=12791,which was much more potent than the reference drugs NVP and DLV and comparable to AZT and EFV.In addition,5 c also exhibited improved activity against double mutant HIV-1 strain RES056 compared to that of the reference drugs NVP/DLV and DB02.The preliminary structure-activity relationship(SAR)and molecular modeling studies were also discussed,which provides some useful indications for guiding the further rational design of new S-DACO analogues.Daxiong Li Chunsheng Zhang Wei Ding Siming Huang Le Yu Nan Lu Wenkai Pan Yiming Li Erik De Clercq Christophe Pannecouque Hongbing Zhang Yueping Wang Yanping He Fener Chen 2021Chinese Chemical Letters2021,32,3:1
