1Altered trends in carbon uptake in China’s terrestrial ecosystems under the enhanced summer monsoon and warming hiatus显示文摘The carbon budgets in terrestrial ecosystems in China are strongly coupled with climate changes.Over the past decade,China has experienced dramatic climate changes characterized by enhanced summer monsoon and decelerated warming.However,the changes in the trends of terrestrial net ecosystem production(NEP)in China under climate changes are not well documented.Here,we used three ecosystem models to simulate the spatiotemporal variations in China's NEP during 1982–2010 and quantify the contribution of the strengthened summer monsoon and warming hiatus to the NEP variations in four distinct climatic regions of the country.Our results revealed a decadal-scale shift in NEP from a downtrend of–5.95 Tg C/yr^2(reduced sink)during 1982–2000 to an uptrend of 14.22 Tg C/yr^2(enhanced sink)during 2000–10.This shift was essentially induced by the strengthened summer monsoon,which stimulated carbon uptake,and the warming hiatus,which lessened the decrease in the NEP trend.Compared to the contribution of 56.3%by the climate effect,atmospheric CO2 concentration and nitrogen deposition had relatively small contributions(8.6 and 11.3%,respectively)to the shift.In conclusion,within the context of the global-warming hiatus,the strengthening of the summer monsoon is a critical climate factor that enhances carbon uptake in China due to the asymmetric response of photosynthesis and respiration.Our study not only revealed the shift in ecosystem carbon sequestration in China in recent decades,but also provides some insight for understanding ecosystem carbon dynamics in other monsoonal areas.Honglin He Shaoqiang Wang Li Zhang Junbang Wang Xiaoli Ren Lei Zhou Shilong Piao Hao Yan Weimin Ju Fengxue Gu Shiyong Yu Yuanhe Yang Miaomiao Wang Zhongen Niu Rcmg Ge Huimin Yan Mei Huang Guoyi Zhou Yongfei Bai Zongqiang Xie Zhiyao Tang Bingfang Wu Leiming Zhang Nianpeng He Qiufeng Wang Guirui Yu 2019National Science Review2019,6,3:24
2Efficacy of capecitabine-based combination therapy and singleagent capecitabine maintenance therapy in patients with metastatic breast cancer显示文摘Objective: The purpose of this study was to observe the efficacy and toxicities of capecitabine-based chemotherapy and capecitabine monotherapy as maintenance therapy in the treatment of metastatic breast cancer(MBC).Patients and methods: A total of 98 MBC patients were treated with capecitabine combined with vinorelbine(NX). Results: The median number of treatment was 6 cycles(1-7 cycles). There were two cases of complete remission(CR), 58 partial remission, 27 stable disease(SD), 11 progression disease. The overall response rate(ORR)(CR + PR) was 61.2%. The clinical benefit rate(CBR) was 75.5%. Fifty of effective patients received with capecitabine monotherapy as maintenance therapy. The ORR(CR + PR) was 4%. The CBR was 48%. The median progression-free survival(PFS) was 12 months. In maintenance therapy or not, the median post metastasis survival rate(MSR) was 63 and 28 months, respectively. In the combination therapy group, the major grade 3/4 toxicities included hand-foot syndrome(3.1%), skin pigmentation(2.0%), diarrhoea and abdominal distension(5.1%), stomatitis(1.0%), and leukopenia(20.4%).Conclusions: Capecitabine-based combination therapy and single-agent capecitabine maintenance therapy were well tolerated and effective to MBC.Huimin Lv Min Yan Mengwei Zhang Limin Niu Huiai Zeng Shude Cui 2014Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2014,26,6:8
3Graded-information feedback strategy in two-route systems under ATIS显示文摘In consideration of the constraint of the advanced traveler information systems(ATIS) detecting accuracy and the time delay of information feedback systems,a novel approach named gradedinformation feedback strategy is proposed and applied into a two-route scenario.The approach adopts the fuzzy C-means clustering algorithm to classify road traffic conditions based on flux,mean velocity,and density.Then,each cluster centre is fixed on.Furthermore,real-time traffic conditions on each route could be judged by the preceding cluster centers.Results of judgment would be displayed on variable message signs to guide the successors at the entrance to make reasonable route-choices.Meanwhile,a cellular automaton model is adopted to investigate the correlation between efficiency of tworoute systems,number of clustering,and travelers' route choice behavior.Compared with the conventional strategies,the simulation shows that the innovative information feedback strategy can evidently improve utilization efficiency of road networks.Jianqiang Wang Huimin Niu 2014Journal of Traffic and Transportation Engineering(English Edition)2014,1,2:8
4NiO nanoparticle-decorated SnO_(2)nanosheets for ethanol sensing with enhanced moisture resistance显示文摘In a high relative humidity(RH)environment,it is challenging for ethanol sensors to maintain a high response and excellent selectivity.Herein,tetragonal rutile SnO_(2)nanosheets decorated with NiO nanoparticles were synthesized by a two-step hydrothermal process.The NiO-decorated SnO_(2)nanosheet-based sensors displayed a significantly improved sensitivity and excellent selectivity to ethanol gas.For example,the 3 mol%NiO-decorated SnO_(2)(SnO_(2)-3Ni)sensor reached its highest response(153 at 100 ppm)at an operating temperature of 260℃.Moreover,the SnO_(2)-3Ni sensor had substantially improved moisture resistance.The excellent properties of the sensors can be attributed to the uniform dispersion of the NiO nanoparticles on the surface of the SnO_(2)nanosheets and the formation of NiO-SnO_(2)p–n heterojunctions.Considering the long-term stability and reproducibility of these sensors,our study suggests that the NiO nanoparticle-decorated SnO_(2)nanosheets are a promising material for highly efficient detection of ethanol.Gaoqiang Niu Changhui Zhao Huimin Gong Zhitao Yang Xiaohui Leng Fei Wang 2019Microsystems & Nanoengineering2019,5,1:3

12Construction of 1D/2D α-Fe_(2)O_(3)/SnO_(2) Hybrid Nanoarrays for Sub-ppm Acetone Detection显示文摘Exhaled acetone is one of the representative biomarkers for the noninvasive diagnosis of type-1 diabetes.In this work,we have applied a facile two-step chemical bath deposition method for acetone sensors based onα-Fe_(2)O_(3)/SnO_(2) hybrid nanoarrays(HNAs),where one-dimensional(1D)FeOOH nanorods are in situ grown on the prefabricated 2D SnO_(2) nanosheets for on-chip construction of 1D/2D HNAs.After annealing in air,ultrafineα-Fe_(2)O_(3) nanorods are homogenously distributed on the surface of SnO_(2) nanosheet arrays(NSAs).Gas sensing results show that theα-Fe_(2)O_(3)/SnO_(2) HNAs exhibit a greatly enhanced response to acetone(3.25 at 0.4 ppm)at a sub-ppm level compared with those based on pure SnO_(2) NSAs(1.16 at 0.4 ppm)and pureα-Fe_(2)O_(3) nanorods(1.03 at 0.4 ppm),at an operating temperature of 340℃.The enhanced acetone sensing performance may be attributed to the formation ofα-Fe_(2)O_(3)-SnO_(2) n-n heterostructure with 1D/2D hybrid architectures.Moreover,theα-Fe_(2)O_(3)/SnO_(2) HNAs also possess good reproducibility and selectivity toward acetone vapor,suggesting its potential application in breath acetone analysis.Huimin Gong Changhui Zhao Gaoqiang Niu Wei Zhang Fei Wang 2020Research2020,,1:0
13Identification of birch lncRNAs and mRNAs responding to salt stress and characterization of functions of lncRNA显示文摘Long noncoding RNAs(lncRNAs)are important in abiotic stress tolerance.Here,we identified salt-responsive genes and lncRNAs in the roots and leaves of Betula platyphylla Suk.(birch),and characterized their lncRNAs functions.In total,2660 mRNAs and 539 lncRNAs responding to salt treatment were identified using RNA-seq.The salt-responsive genes were substantially enriched in‘cell wall biogenesis’and‘wood development’in the roots and were enriched in‘photosynthesis’and‘response to stimulus’in the leaves.Meanwhile,the potential target genes of the salt-responsive lncRNAs in roots and leaves were both enriched in‘nitrogen compound metabolic process’and‘response to stimulus’.We further built a method for quickly identifying abiotic stress tolerance of lncRNAs,which employed transient transformation for overexpression and knock-down of the lncRNA,enabling gain-and loss-of-function analysis.Using this method,11 randomly selected salt-responsive lncRNAs were characterized.Among them,six lncRNAs confer salt tolerance,two lncRNAs confer salt sensitivity,and the other three lncRNAs are not involved in salt tolerance.In addition,a lncRNA,LncY1,was further characterized,which improves salt tolerance by regulating two transcription factors,BpMYB96 and BpCDF3.Taken together,our results suggested that lncRNAs play important roles in the salt response of birch plants.Yaqi Jia Huimin Zhao Yani Niu Yucheng Wang 2023Horticulture Research2023,10,2:0
14Data-Driven User Complaint Prediction for Mobile Access Networks显示文摘In this paper,we present a user-complaint prediction system for mobile access networks based on network monitoring data.By applying machine-learning models,the proposed system can relate user complaints to network performance indicators,alarm reports in a data-driven fashion,and predict the complaint events in a fine-grained spatial area within a specific time window.The proposed system harnesses several special designs to deal with the specialty in complaint prediction;complaint bursts are extracted using linear filtering and threshold detection to reduce the noisy fluctuation in raw complaint events.A fuzzy gridding method is also proposed to resolve the inaccuracy in verbally described complaint locations.Furthermore,we combine up-sampling with down-sampling to combat the severe skewness towards negative samples.The proposed system is evaluated using a real dataset collected from a major Chinese mobile operator,in which,events due to complaint bursts account approximately for only 0:3%of all recorded events.Re-sults show that our system can detect 30%of complaint bursts 3 h ahead with more than 80%precision.This will achieve a corresponding proportion of quality of experi-ence improvement if all predicted complaint events can be handled in advance through proper network maintenance.Huimin Pan Sheng Zhou Yunjian Jia Zhisheng Niu Meng Zheng Lu Geng 2018Journal of Communications and Information Networks2018,3,3:0

18Diagnostic diversity and heterogeneity of tumors: a real-world study of metastasis re-biopsy in advanced breast cancer显示文摘Background::Re-biopsy of metastasis in advanced breast cancer(ABC)has become an international convention to assist the diagnosis and evaluation of tumor heterogeneity.This study aimed to detect diagnostic diversity and inconsistencies among estrogen receptor(ER),progesterone receptor(PR),and human epidermal growth factor receptor 2(HER2)expression levels between primary and metastatic lesions.Methods::We conducted a retrospective analysis of 1670 cases of ABC patients who had undergone at least one lesion re-biopsy from January 2010 to December 2018.The pathological diagnosis of biopsies,distribution of biopsy sites,and severe puncture complications at each site were collected.In addition,the inconsistency rates and related factors of ER,PR,and HER2 expression between primary and metastatic lesions were analyzed fully considering patients’demographic profiles and disease characteristics.Results::In total,1670 cases of breast cancer(BC)patients diagnosed by pathology underwent one to four biopsies of recurrences or metastases in different sites or at different stages during the rescue treatment,producing 2019 histopathological specimens which were analyzed in the study.Pathological diagnosis showed that eight patients had benign pathological diagnoses,11 patients had second primary malignant tumors but without recurrences of breast cancer,and 17 patients had pathologically confirmed breast cancer recurrences combined with second primary cancer.In 1173 patients who presented ER,PR,and HER2 expressions in primary and metastatic lesions,the inconsistency rates of ER,PR,and HER2 were 17.5%(205/1173),31.3%(367/1173),and 13.9%(163/1173),respectively.The multivariate analysis showed that the age at the onset of breast cancer or adjuvant endocrine therapy was an independent factor affecting changes in PR expression level.Except one liver puncture with local hemorrhage and two lung punctures with hemopneumothorax,no other severe puncture complications occurred in 1950 non-surgical rebiopsies.Conclusions::The pathological diagnosis of metastasis re-biopsy of ABC was diverse,and the ER,PR,and HER2 expression levels were inconsistent between primary and metastatic lesions.Therefore,more attention should be paid to perform biopsies of relapsed and metastatic breast cancers routinely in clinical practice.Huimin Lv Limin Niu Mengwei Zhang Huiai Zeng Shengnan Zhao Min Yan 2022Chinese Medical Journal2022,135,17:0
