1Recent Progress in CRISPR/Cas9 Technology显示文摘The clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats(CRISPR)/Cas9 system, a simple and efficient tool for genome editing, has experienced rapid progress in its technology and applicability in the past two years. Here, we review the recent advances in CRISPR/Cas9 technology and the ways that have been adopted to expand our capacity for precise genome manipulation. First, we introduce the mechanism of CRISPR/Cas9, including its biochemical and structural implications. Second, we highlight the latest improvements in the CRISPR/Cas9 system, especially Cas9 protein modifications for customization. Third, we review its current applications, in which the versatile CRISPR/Cas9 system was employed to edit the genome, epigenome, or RNA of various organisms. Although CRISPR/Cas9 allows convenient genome editing accompanied by many benefits, we should not ignore the significant ethical and biosafety concerns that it raises. 2Protonation induced high-T_c phases in iron-based superconductors evidenced by NMR and magnetization measurements显示文摘Chemical substitution during growth is a well-established method to manipulate electronic states of quantum materials, and leads to rich spectra of phase diagrams in cuprate and iron-based superconductors. Here we report a novel and generic strategy to achieve nonvolatile electron doping in series of(i.e.11 and 122 structures) Fe-based superconductors by ionic liquid gating induced protonation at room temperature. Accumulation of protons in bulk compounds induces superconductivity in the parent compounds, and enhances the Tclargely in some superconducting ones. Furthermore, the existence of proton in the lattice enables the first proton nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR) study to probe directly superconductivity. Using Fe S as a model system, our NMR study reveals an emergent high-Tcphase with no coherence peak which is hard to measure by NMR with other isotopes. 3Hybrid Weighted l_1-Total Variation Constrained Reconstruction for MR Image显示文摘Compressed sensing based Magnetic resonance(MR) image reconstruction can be done by minimizing the sum of least square data fitting item, the Total variation(TV) and l1 norm regularizations. In this paper, inspired by the conventional constrained reconstruction model, we propose a hybrid weighted l1-TV minimization method to reconstruct MR image. We introduce the iterative mechanism to update the weights for l1 and TV norms adaptively. The weights vary at each element of the image matrix according to the presented weights selection strategy. 4Superconductivity at 36 K in gadolinium-arsenide oxides GdO_(1-x)F_xFeAs显示文摘In this paper we report the fabrication and superconducting properties of GdO1-xFxFeAs. It was found that when x is equal to 0.17, GdO0.83F0.17FeAs is a su-perconductor with the onset transition temperature Tcon ≈ 36.6 K. Resistivity anomaly near 130 K was observed for all samples up to x = 0.17, and such a phenomenon is similar to that of LaO1-xFxFeAs. 5Surface morphology and electronic structure in stoichiometric superconductor CaKFe_(4)As_(4) robed by scanning tunneling microscopy/spectroscopy显示文摘CaKFe_(4)As_(4) is a new-type superconductor with a relatively high transition temperature of 35 K among stoichiometric iron-based superconductors. Based on scanning tunneling microscopy/spectroscopy, the surface morphology and electronic structure of CaKFe_(4)As_(4) single crystal were systematically investigated. The cleaved CaKFe_(4)As_(4) showed various morphologies, such as atomically resolved 1×1, 1×2, and √2×√2 lattices. By analyzing the geometrical correlations of these morphologies, the 1×1 and 1×2 lattices were identified as the original and reconstructed As layers, respectively, whereas the √2×√2 lattice was distinguished as the reconstructed alkaline-earth-metal or alkali-metal layer. The superconducting energy gap of 7.3 me V and bosonic mode of 12.7 me V were resolved in the scanning tunneling spectra. In addition, the superconducting energy gaps measured on different terminations were identical and consistent with the values obtained by bulk-sensitive techniques, indicating that the electronic structures of CaKFe_(4)As_(4) were insensitive to the surface reconstructions. 6Drought risk assessment in China:Evaluation framework and influencing factors显示文摘Global warming and rapid economic development have led to increased levels of disaster risk in China.Previous attempts at assessing drought risk were highly subjective in terms of assessment methods and selection of the assessment indicators and which resulted in appreciable uncertainty in the results of these risk assessments.Based on the assumption that areas with historically high drought losses are more likely to suffer future high drought losses,we develop a new drought risk assessment model that includes historical drought loss data.With this model,we map the regional differentiation of Chinese drought risk.Regions with high(extreme high)drought risk account for 4.3%of China’s area.Five significant high-risk areas have been identified:Northeast China,North China,the east part of Northwest China,the east part of Southwest China and a small part in the west of Northwest China.Areas with high and extreme high drought risk are dominant in the Heilongjiang Province,accounting for 32%of the total area,followed by the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region,with 26%of total area.The contribution of each influencing factor has been quantified,which indicates that high-exposure and high-vulnerability account for the high-risk of drought.We recommend that measures like strengthening the protection of cultivated land and reducing dependence on the primary industry should be taken to mitigate to drought-induced losses.Jiaqi Zhao Qiang Zhang Xiudi Zhu Zexi Shen Huiqian Yu 2020Geography and Sustainability2020,1,3:3
7Impact of Droughts on Winter Wheat Yield in Different Growth Stages during 2001–2016 in Eastern China显示文摘Remote sensing can provide near real-time and dynamic monitoring of drought. The drought severity index(DSI), based on the normalized difference vegetation index(NDVI) and evapotranspiration/potential evapotranspiration(ET/PET), has been used for drought monitoring. This study examined the relationship between the DSI and winter wheat yield for prefecture-level cities in five provinces of eastern China during 2001–2016. We first analyzed the spatial and temporal distribution of droughts in the study area. Then the correlation coefficient between drought-affected area and detrended yield of winter wheat was quantified and the impact of droughts of different intensities on winter wheat yield during different growth stages was investigated. The results show that incipient drought during the wintering period has no significant impact on the yield of winter wheat, while moderate drought in the same period can reduce yield. Drought affects winter wheat yield significantly during the flowering and filling stages. Droughts of higher intensity have more significant negative effects on the yield of winter wheat. Monitoring of droughts and irrigation is critical during these periods to ensure normal yield of winter wheat. 8Stability of superconducting Nd_(0.8)Sr_(0.2)NiO_(2) thin films显示文摘The discovery of superconducting states in the nickelate thin film with infinite-layer structure has paved a new way for studying unconventional superconductivity.So far,research in this field is still very limited due to difficulties in sample preparation.Here we report the successful preparation of the superconducting state of Nd_(0.8)Sr_(0.2)NiO_(2)thin film(T_(c)=8.0-11.1 K)and study the stability of such films in the ambient environment,water,and under electrochemical conditions.Our work demonstrates that the superconducting state of Nd_(0.8)Sr_(0.2)NiO_(2)is remarkably stable,which can last for at least 47-day continuous exposure to air at 20°C and 35%relative humidity.We also show that the superconductivity disappears after being immersed in de-ionized water at room temperature for 5 h.Surprisingly,it can also survive under ionic liquid gating conditions with an applied voltage of about 4 V,which is even more stable than conventional perovskite complex oxides.Xiang Ding Shengchun Shen Huaqian Leng Minghui Xu Yan Zhao Junrui Zhao Xuelei Sui Xiaoqiang Wu Haiyan Xiao Xiaotao Zu Bing Huang Huiqian Luo Pu Yu Liang Qiao 2022Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2022,65,6:2

10Stochastic pedestrian avoidance for autonomous vehicles using hybrid reinforcement learning显示文摘Ensuring the safety of pedestrians is essential and challenging when autonomous vehicles are involved.Classical pedestrian avoidance strategies cannot handle uncertainty,and learning-based methods lack performance guarantees.In this paper we propose a hybrid reinforcement learning(HRL)approach for autonomous vehicles to safely interact with pedestrians behaving uncertainly.The method integrates the rule-based strategy and reinforcement learning strategy.The confidence of both strategies is evaluated using the data recorded in the training process.Then we design an activation function to select the final policy with higher confidence.In this way,we can guarantee that the final policy performance is not worse than that of the rule-based policy.To demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method,we validate it in simulation using an accelerated testing technique to generate stochastic pedestrians.The results indicate that it increases the success rate for pedestrian avoidance to 98.8%,compared with 94.4%of the baseline method.Huiqian LI Jin HUANG Zhong CAO Diange YANG Zhihua ZHONG 2023Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering2023,24,1:1

12Chiral phonon activated spin Seebeck effect in chiral materials显示文摘Efficient generation of spin polarization is very important for spintronics and quantum computation. In chiral materials without magnetic order nor spin-orbit coupling, we find a new spin selectivity effect—chiral phonon activated spin Seebeck(CPASS)effect. Starting with the nonequilibrium distribution of chiral phonons under a temperature gradient, the CPASS coefficients are computed based on the Boltzmann transport theory. With both the phonon-drag and band transport contributions, the spin accumulations generated by the CPASS effect exhibit quadratic dependence on the temperature gradient. The strength of the CPASS effect and the relative magnitude of both contributions are tunable by the chemical potential modulation. 13EDGE-DIRECTED INTERPOLATION BASED ON SHIFTED-LINEAR IMAGE MODEL显示文摘This paper presents a hybrid image interpolation algorithm to keep details and edges simultaneously. The basic idea is to separate the unknown pixels into two classes and estimate them in different way. One class of unknown pixels is obtained via shifted linear interpolation and the other class through statistical signal processing method. The merit of this hybrid algorithm is that each unknown pixel can be estimated through original pixels simultaneously. 14Anisotropic magnetoelastic response in the magnetic Weyl semimetal Co_(3)Sn_(2)S_(2)显示文摘Co_(3)Sn_(2)S_(2) is a recently identified magnetic Weyl semimetal in Shandite compounds. Upon cooling, Co_(3)Sn_(2)S_(2) undergoes a ferromagnetic transition with c-axis polarized moments(0.3 μ_(B)/Co) around T_(C)= 175 K, followed by another magnetic anomaly around T_(A)≈ 140 K. A large intrinsic anomalous Hall effect is observed in the magnetic state below TC with a maximum of anomalous Hall angle near T_(A). Here, we report an elastic neutron scattering on the crystalline lattice of Co_(3)Sn_(2)S_(2) in a magnetic field up to 10 T. A strongly anisotropic magnetoelastic response is observed, while only a slight enhancement of the Bragg peaks is observed when B//c. The in-plane magnetic field(B//ab) dramatically suppresses the Bragg peak intensity probably by tilting the moments and lattice toward the external field direction. The in-plane magnetoelastic response commences from T_(C), and as it is further strengthened below T_(A), it becomes nonmonotonic against the field between T_(A) and T_(C) because of the competition from another in-plane magnetic order. 15Trace Formulae for the Nonlinearization of Periodic Finite-Bands Dirac Spectral Problem显示文摘This paper deals with a Dirac operator with periodic and finite-bands potentials.Taking advantage of the commutativity of the monodromy operator and the Dirac operator, we define the Bloch functions and multiplicator curve, which leads to the formula of DubrovinNovikov's type. Further, by calculation of residues on the complex sphere and via gauge transformation, we get the trace formulae of eigenfunctions corresponding to the left endpoints and right end-points of the spectral bands, respectively. 16Planckian dissipation and non-Ginzburg-Landau type upper critical field in Bi2201显示文摘Resistivity and Hall effect measurements have been carried out on a micro-fabricated bridge of Bi2201 single crystal at low temperatures down to 0.4 K under high magnetic fields.When superconductivity is crashed by a high magnetic field,the recovered 'normal state' resistivity still shows a linear temperature dependence in the low temperature region.Combining with the effective mass and the charge carrier density,we get a linear scattering rate 1/τ=αkBT/h with 0.77 <α <1.16,which gives a strong evidence of the Planckian dissipation.Furthermore,our results reveal a new type of temperature dependence of the upper critical field,H_(c2)(T)=H*■,which is totally different from the expectation of the Ginzburg-Landau theory,and suggests the existence of uncondensed Cooper pairs above H_(c2)(T) line.Qihao Zang Zhengyan Zhu Zuyu Xu Shichao Qi Haoran Ji Yiwen Li Jian Wang Huiqian Luo Hua-Bing Wang Hai-Hu Wen 2023Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2023,66,3:0
17Targeted sequencing and integrative analysis of 3,195 Chinese patients with neurodevelopmental disorders prioritized 26 novel candidate genes显示文摘Neurodevelopmental disorders(NDDs)are a set of complex disorders characterized by diverse and cooccurring clinical symptoms.The genetic contribution in patients with NDDs remains largely unknown.Here,we sequence 519 NDD-related genes in 3,195 Chinese probands with neurodevelopmental phenotypes and identify 2,522 putative functional mutations consisting of 137 de novo mutations(DNMs)in 86 genes and 2,385 rare inherited mutations(RIMs)with 22 X-linked hemizygotes in 13 genes,2 homozygous mutations in 2 genes and 23 compound heterozygous mutations in 10 genes.Furthermore,the DNMs of16,807 probands with NDDs are retrieved from public datasets and combine in an integrated analysis with the mutation data of our Chinese NDD probands by taking 3,582 in-house controls of Chinese origin as background.We prioritize 26 novel candidate genes.Notably,six of these genes d ITSN1,UBR3,CADM1,RYR3,FLNA,and PLXNA3 d preferably contribute to autism spectrum disorders(ASDs),as demonstrated by high co-expression and/or interaction with ASD genes confirmed via rescue experiments in a mouse model.Importantly,these genes are differentially expressed in the ASD cortex in a significant manner and involved in ASD-associated networks.Together,our study expands the genetic spectrum of Chinese NDDs,further facilitating both basic and translational research.Tao Wang Yi Zhang Liqui Liu Yan Wang Huiqian Chen Tianda Fan Jinchen Li Kun Xia Zhongsheng Sun 2021Journal of Genetics and Genomics2021,48,4:0

19Analysis of the Characteristics and Development Direction of Services Trade in Shandong Province of China显示文摘Shandong is a significant province for foreign trade in China;however,it still faces shortcomings in the development of its service trade,as outlined below.Firstly,the scale of service trade is limited.Shandong’s service trade volume ranked sixth in China in 2022,lagging considerably behind Shanghai,Guangdong,Beijing,Zhejiang,and Jiangsu.Secondly,the proportion of service trade in Shandong compared to the overall national services trade volume falls below the national average,with the per capita scale even lower than the national average.Thirdly,Shandong’s service trade accounts for less than 10% of the province’s foreign trade,which is 3 percentage points below the national average.The insufficient development of Shandong’s service trade is mainly attributed to the weak performance of its own service industry and the limited scale of attracting foreign services investment.Accelerating the development of producer services in Shandong,promoting the intelligent upgrading of consumer services,and continuously promoting reform and opening up in the service sector will be conducive to achieving high-quality development of services trade in Shandong.Huiqian Yu 2024Proceedings of Business and Economic Studies2024,7,1:0
20Natural variation of GmFATA1B regulates seed oil content and composition in soybean显示文摘Soybean(Glycine max) produces seeds that are rich in unsaturated fatty acids and is an important oilseed crop worldwide. Seed oil content and composition largely determine the economic value of soybean. Due to natural genetic variation, seed oil content varies substantially across soybean cultivars. Although much progress has been made in elucidating the genetic trajectory underlying fatty acid metabolism and oil biosynthesis in plants, the causal genes for many quantitative trait loci(QTLs) regulating seed oil content in soybean remain to be revealed. In this study, we identified Gm FATA1B as the gene underlying a QTL that regulates seed oil content and composition, as well as seed size in soybean. Nine extra amino acids in the conserved region of Gm FATA1B impair its function as a fatty acyl–acyl carrier protein thioesterase, thereby affecting seed oil content and composition. Heterogeneously overexpressing the functional Gm FATA1B allele in Arabidopsis thaliana increased both the total oil content and the oleic acid and linoleic acid contents of seeds.
