| 1 | Combined use of phospholipid complexes and self-emulsifying microemulsions for improving the oral absorption of a BCS class IV compound, baicalin显示文摘The aim of this study was to develop a formulation to improve the oral absorption of baicalin(BA)by combining a phospholipid complex(PC)and self-emulsifying microemulsion drug delivery system(SMEDDS),termed BA–PC–SMEDDS.BA–PC was prepared by a solvent evaporation method and evaluated by complexation percentage(CP).The physicochemical properties of BA–PC were determined.The synergistic effect of PC and SMEDDS on permeation of BA was studied in vitro with Caco-2 cells and in situ with a single pass intestinal perfusion model.The improved bioavailability of BA in BA–PC–SMEDDS was confirmed in an in vivo rat model.The CP of BA–PC reached 100%when the molar ratio of drug to phospholipid(PP)was Z1:1.The solubility of BA–PC increased in both water and octanol,and the log P o/w of BA–PC was increased significantly.BA–PC–SMEDDS could be dispersed more evenly in water,compared to BA and BA–PC.Both the Caco-2 cell uptake and single-pass intestinal perfusion models illustrated that transport of BA in BA–PC was lower than that of free BA,while improved significantly in BA–PC–SMEDDS.The relative bioavailability of BA–PC(1:2)–SMEDDS was 220.37%.The combination system of PC and SMEDDS had a synergistic effect on improving the oral absorption of BA. | Huiyi Wu Xiaoying Long Fei Yuan Li Chen Sujing Pan Yunjun Liu Yoshiko Stowell Xiaoling Li | 2014 | Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2014,4,3: | 14 |
| 2 | High-efficiency CNT-Si solar cells based on a collaborative system enabled by oxide penetration显示文摘Carbon nanotube-silicon(CNT-Si)solar cells represent one of the alternative photovoltaic techniques with potential for low cost and high efficiency.Here,we report a method to improve solar cell performance by depositing conventional transitional metal oxides such as WO_(3)and establishing a collaborative system,in which CNTs are well-embedded within the WO_(3)layer and both of them are in close contact to Si substrate.This unique collaborative system optimizes the overall energy conversion process including the light absorption(antireflection by WO_(3)),carrier separation(forming quasi p-n junction)and charge collection(CNT conductive network throughout the oxide layer).Combining with our previous TiO_(2)-coating and HNO_(3)-doping techniques,a solar cell efficiency of>18%at an active area of 0.09 cm 2(air mass 1.5,100 mW/cm^(2))was achieved.The oxide-enhanced CNT-Si solar cells which integrate the advantages of traditional semiconductors and novel nanostructures represent a promising route toward next-generation high-performance silicon-based photovoltaics. | Xuewei Zhao Wenjing Xu Yizeng Wu Huaisheng Wu Zhiyuan Xia Huiyi Xu Yuanyuan Shang Jinquan Wei Anyuan Cao | 2022 | Nano Research2022,15,3: | 0 |
| 3 | Identification and evaluation of shale oil micromigration and its petroleum geological significance显示文摘Taking the Lower Permian Fengcheng Formation shale in Mahu Sag of Junggar Basin,NW China,as an example,core observation,test analysis,geological analysis and numerical simulation were applied to identify the shale oil micro-migration phenomenon.The hydrocarbon micro-migration in shale oil was quantitatively evaluated and verified by a self-created hydrocarbon expulsion potential method,and the petroleum geological significance of shale oil micro-migration evaluation was determined.Results show that significant micro-migration can be recognized between the organic-rich lamina and organic-poor lamina.The organic-rich lamina has strong hydrocarbon generation ability.The heavy components of hydrocarbon preferentially retained by kerogen swelling or adsorption,while the light components of hydrocarbon were migrated and accumulated to the interbedded felsic or carbonate organic-poor laminae as free oil.About 69% of the Fengcheng Formation shale samples in Well MY1 exhibit hydrocarbon charging phenomenon,while 31% of those exhibit hydrocarbon expulsion phenomenon.The reliability of the micro-migration evaluation results was verified by combining the group components based on the geochromatography effect,two-dimension nuclear magnetic resonance analysis,and the geochemical behavior of inorganic manganese elements in the process of hydrocarbon migration.Micro-migration is a bridge connecting the hydrocarbon accumulation elements in shale formations,which reflects the whole process of shale oil generation,expulsion and accumulation,and controls the content and composition of shale oil.The identification and evaluation of shale oil micro-migration will provide new perspectives for dynamically differential enrichment mechanism of shale oil and establishing a“multi-peak model in oil generation”of shale. | HU Tao JIANG Fujie PANG Xiongqi LIU Yuan WU Guanyun ZHOU Kuo XIAO Huiyi JIANG Zhenxue LI Maowen JIANG Shu HUANG Liliang CHEN Dongxia MENG Qingyang | 2024 | Petroleum Exploration and Development2024,51,1: | 0 |
| 4 | Fu's subcutaneous needling for orthostatic hypotension due to Guillain-Barré syndrome: A case report显示文摘A 28-year-old female developed symptoms of frequent dizziness and occasional syncope while standing up,accompanied by paresthesia in her extremities and occasional constipation.She was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré syndrome(GBS).Her upright blood pressure was undetectable,and cerebrospinal fluid analysis showed protein-leukocyte separation.A nerve conduction study showed that the sensory nerves of her lower limbs had been injured,but the motor nerves were almost normal.She was treated with immunotherapy and hormonotherapy,which partially relieved her paresthesia and constipation.However,her orthostatic hypotension(OH) persisted after two months of treatment.After three courses of treatment consisting of Fu’s subcutaneous needling,OH significantly improved,with a much less pronounced decrease(<20 mmHg) in systolic blood pressure in the upright position than observed be fore treatment.She was sympto m-free and able to stand and walk for short distances after 3 months of follow-up.This case indicates that Fu’s subcutaneous needling treatment is effective for OH caused by GBS,and it may be a suitable alternative when conventional treatment does not produce ideal results. | Zhonghua Fu Huiyi Huang Qingqian Yu Yuehan Song Xiulun Gan Zhiyue Li Fengzhi Wu | 2022 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medical Sciences2022,9,4: | 0 |
| 5 | The protein corona modulates the inflammation inhibition by cationic nanoparticles via cell-free DNA scavenging显示文摘A central paradigm in nanomedicine is that when synthetic nanoparticles(NPs)enter the body,they are immediately cloaked by a corona of macromolecules(mostly proteins)that mediates the role of the physico-chemical properties in the NP biological functions(the“coronation paradigm”).In this work,we focused on the assessment of the“coronation paradigm”for cationic NPs(cNPs)used as rheumatoid arthritis(RA)drugs due to their ability to scavenge cell-free DNA(cfDNA).We fabricated series of cNPs uniformly coated with single or di-hydroxyl groups and different types of amino groups and showed that hydroxylated nanoparticles displayed a prolonged retention in inflamed joints and greater anti-inflammatory effect in collagen-induced arthritis(CIA)rats than the non-hydroxylated analogues.Especially,the cNPs with secondary amines and a di-hydroxyl shell showed the best performance among the tested cNPs.Proteomic analysis showed that the cNPs with a di-hydroxyl shell adsorbed less opsonin proteins than the cNPs carrying mono hydroxyl groups and non-hydroxylated ones,which may provide a mechanistic explanation for the different biodistribution profiles of cNPs.Thus,this study suggests that the protein corona mediates the effects of the surface chemistry on the fate and functions of cNPs as anti-RA drugs. | Xingliang Liu Huiyi Liang Yanzi Yan Jingjiao Wu Massimo Bottini Lixin Liu Yongming Chen | 2022 | Bioactive Materials2022,7,7: | 0 |
| 6 | Boosting the direct conversion of NH4HCO3 electrolyte to syngas on Ag/Zn zeolitic imidazolate framework derived nitrogen-carbon skeleton显示文摘The electrochemical reduction of NH4HCO3 to syngas can bypass the high energy consumption of high-purity CO_(2)release and compression after the ammonia-based CO_(2)capture process.This technology has broad prospects in industrial applications and carbon neutrality.A zeolitic imidazolate framework-8 precursor was introduced with different Ag contents via colloid chemical synthesis.This material was carbonized at 1000℃to obtain AgZn zeolitic imidazolate framework derived nitrogen carbon catalysts,which were used for the first time for boosting the direct conversion of NH4HCO3 electrolyte to syngas.The AgZn zeolitic imidazolate framework derived nitrogen carbon catalyst with a Ag/Zn ratio of 0.5:1 achieved the highest CO Faradaic efficiency of 52.0%with a current density of 1.15 mA·cm^(−2)at−0.5 V,a H2/CO ratio of 1-2(−0.5 to−0.7 V),and a stable catalytic activity of more than 6 h.Its activity is comparable to that of the CO_(2)-saturated NH4HCO3 electrolyte.The highly discrete Ag-N_(x)and Zn-N_(x)nodes may have combined catalytic effects in the catalysts synthesized by appropriate Ag doping and sufficient carbonization.These nodes could increase active sites of catalysts,which is conducive to the transport and adsorption of reactant CO_(2)and the stability of*COOH intermediate,thus can improve the selectivity and catalytic activity of CO. | Huiyi Li Jianmin Gao Jingjing Shan Qian Du Yu Zhang Xin Guo Shaohua Wu Zhijiang Wang | 2023 | Frontiers of Chemical Science and Engineering2023,17,9: | 0 |
