| 1 | Intestinal protozoa and intestinal helminthic infections among schoolchildren in Central Sudan显示文摘Objective:To determine the prevalence of intestinal parasitic infections and soil-transmitted helminths(STHs) among primary schoolchildren in El dhayga,Central Sudan.Methods:In this cross-sectional study,three fresh faecal samples were collected from each child,which were examined by direct wet mount,brine flotation,formalin-ether and Kato-Katz techniques.The intensity of each STH infection was expressed as the mean of eggs per gram counts of the three samples.Results:In total,142(90.4%) of 157 children harboured at least one type of intestinal parasite.Ascaris lumbricoides,Hymenolepis nana,Entamoeba histolytica and Giardia lamblia were the most common parasites found,with prevalence rates of 32.5%,30.6%,33.1%and 19.7%,respectively.Out of these 157 children,29(18.5%) harboured more than two intestinal parasitic infections.No cases of Schistosoma mansoni or Enterobius vermicularis were identified. | 2 | 猪支原体肺炎活疫苗(168株)滴鼻免疫保护效果的研究显示文摘本研究通过滴鼻免疫新途径免疫猪支原体肺炎活疫苗168株,与肺内免疫组及对照组进行比较,来确定滴鼻免疫猪支原体肺炎活疫苗(168株)的免疫保护力。将20只猪随机分为肺内免疫组、滴鼻免疫组、健康对照组和攻毒对照组。定期观察和检测各组猪免疫后的临床症状。结果表明:滴鼻免疫组免疫后,猪群体温正常,无免疫引起的局部或全身不良反应,免疫途径安全可行;滴鼻免疫组和肺内免疫组与健康对照组相比,SIgA水平显著升高,差异极显著(P<0.01),但滴鼻免疫组与肺内免疫组相比,差异不显著。流式细胞仪检测显示CD4+数值未发生显著性变化。肺脏剖检评分显示滴鼻免疫组的肺脏的病变水平与攻毒对照组相比呈极显著降低(P<0.01),保护率达到60%,相对低于肺内免疫组100%的保护率。猪支原体肺炎活疫苗(168株)通过滴鼻免疫方式,可以产生较好的免疫保护力。 | 杨若松 邢宪平 冯志新 华利忠 熊祺琰 Hassan Zackaria Ali Ishag 邵国青 | 2016 | 河北农业大学学报2016,39,4: | 2 |
| 3 | Immune response to hepatitis B vaccine among patients on hemodialysis显示文摘Infection with hepatitis B virus(HBV) poses a major health threat worldwide, where the magnitude and overburden of chronic carrier state approaches 150 million chronic carriers. The prevalence of HBV is greater among dialyzed patients compared to the general population owing to their increased vulnerability to blood and its products, along with hazards posed by contaminated hemodialysis tools and devices. Anelectronic systematic search of the published literature was carried and data on the immunological riposte to hepatitis B vaccination among hemodialysis patients was extracted from relevant studies. End stage renal disease patients on hemodialysis have a lower or an absolutely negative riposte to HBV vaccine. Several means have been tried to improve this response with some success, nevertheless none have been universally adopted. | 7 | Cortisol and uncomplicated Plasmodium falciparum malaria in an area of unstable malaria transmission in eastern Sudan显示文摘Objective:To investigate the levels of serum Cortisol in patients with uncomplicated Plasmodium falciparum(P.falciparum) malaria in an area of unstable malaria transmission in eastern Sudan. | 19 | Glial cell line-derived neurotrophic factor and brain-derived neurotrophic factor regulate the interaction between astrocytes and Schwann cells at the trigeminal root entry zone显示文摘The trigeminal root entry zone is the zone at which the myelination switches from peripheral Schwann cells to central oligodendrocytes.Its special anatomical and physiological structure renders it susceptible to nerve injury.The etiology of most primary trigeminal neuralgia is closely related to microvascular compression of the trigeminal root entry zone.This study aimed to develop an efficient in vitro model mimicking the glial environment of trigeminal root entry zone as a tool to investigate the effects of glial cell line-derived neurotrophic factor and brain-derived neurotrophic factor on the structural and functional integrity of trigeminal root entry zone and modulation of cellular interactions.Primary astrocytes and Schwann cells isolated from trigeminal root entry zone of postnatal rats were inoculated into a two-well silicon culture insert to mimic the trigeminal root entry zone microenvironment and treated with glial cell line-derived neurotrophic factor and brain-derived neurotrophic factor.In monoculture,glial cell line-derived neurotrophic factor promoted the migration of Schwann cells,but it did not have effects on the migration of astrocytes.In the co-culture system,glial cell line-derived neurotrophic factor promoted the bidirectional migration of astrocytes and Schwann cells.Brain-derived neurotrophic factor markedly promoted the activation and migration of astrocytes.However,in the co-culture system,brain-derived neurotrophic factor inhibited the migration of astrocytes and Schwann cells to a certain degree.These findings suggest that glial cell line-derived neurotrophic factor and brain-derived neurotrophic factor are involved in the regulation of the astrocyte-Schwann cell interaction in the co-culture system derived from the trigeminal root entry zone.This system can be used as a cell model to study the mechanism of glial dysregulation associated with trigeminal nerve injury and possible therapeutic interventions. | Madeha Ishag Adam Ling Lin Amir Mahmoud Makin Xiao-Fen Zhang Lu-Xi Zhou Xin-Yue Liao Li Zhao Feng Wang Dao-Shu Luo | 2023 | Neural Regeneration Research2023,18,6: | 0 |
