2Assessment of Iron Bioavailability in Ten Kinds of Chinese Wheat Flours Using an in vitro Digestion/Caco-2 cell Model显示文摘Objective To compare iron bioavailability (Fe BV) from ten selected kinds of Chinese wheat flours in order to provide scientific basis for further human trials and enable plant breeding programs to screen biofortified wheat cultivars. Methods An in vitro digestion/Caco-2 cell model was used to assess Fe BV of ten flour samples from six leading Chinese wheat cultivars and the stability of Fe BV in one cultivar was studied across three growing environments. Results Significant differences were observed in both Fe BV and Fe bioavailability per gram of food (Fe BVPG) among cultivars (P<0.01) grown at the same location with the same flour extraction rate. Zhongyou 9507 and Jingdong 8 had Fe BV 37%-54% and Fe BVPG 103%-154% higher than the reference control. In the Anyang environment, Zhongyou 9507 had a higher wheat flour-Fe level and Fe BVPG. Differences in Fe BV were detected in cultivars with different flour extraction rates. Conclusion Zhongyou 9507 and Jingdong 8 were identified as the most promising cultivars for further evaluation of efficacy by using human subjects. The growing environments had no effect on Fe BV, but did have a significant effect on Fe BVPG. 4Intrahepatic HBV DNA as a predictor of antivirus treatment efficacy in HBeAg-positive chronic hepatitis B patients显示文摘AIM: To evaluate the effect of antiviral agents on intrahepatic HBV DNA in HBeAg-positive chronic hepatitis B patients. METHODS: Seventy-one patients received treatment with lamivudine,interferon alpha (IFN-α2b) or sequential therapy with lamivudine-IFN-α2b for 48 wk. All subjects were followed up for 24 wk. Serum and intrahepatic HBV DNA were measured quantitatively by PCR. HBV genotypes were analyzed by PCR-RFLP. RESULTS: At the end of treatment,the intrahepatic HBV DNA level in 71 patients decreased from a mean of (6.1 ± 1.0) log10 to (4.9 ± 1.4) log10. Further,a larger decrease was seen in the intrahepatic HBV DNA level in patients with HBeAg seroconversion. Intrahepatic HBV DNA level (before and after treatment) was not significantly affected by the patients' HBV genotype,or by the probability of virological flare after treatment. CONCLUSION: Intrahepatic HBV DNA can be effectively lowered by antiviral agents and is a significant marker for monitoring antivirus treatment. 5Lithium-conductive LiNbO_(3) coated high-voltage LiNi_(0.5)Co_(0.2)Mn_(0.3)O_(2) cathode with enhanced rate and cyclability显示文摘LiNi_(0.5)Co_(0.2)Mn_(0.3)O_(2)(NCM523) cathode materials can operate at extremely high voltages and have exceptional energy density.However,their use is limited by inherent structure instability during charge/discharge and exceptionally oxidizing Ni^(4+)at the surface.Herein,we have developed a citrate-assisted deposition concept to achieve a uniform lithium-conductive LiNbO_(3) coating layer on the NCM523 surface that avoids self-nucleation of Nb-contained compounds in solution reaction.The electrode-electrolyte interface is therefore stabilized by physically blocking the detrimental parasitic reactions and Ni^(4+)dissolution whilst still maintaining high Li+conductivity.Consequently,the modified NCM523 exhibits an encouraging Li-storage specific capacity of 207.4 m Ah g-1at 0.2 C and 128.9 m Ah g-1 at 10 C over the range 3.0-4.5 V.Additionally,a 92% capacity retention was obtained after 100 cycles at 1 C,much higher than that of the pristine NCM523(73%).This surface engineering strategy can be extended to modify other Ni-rich cathode materials with durable electrochemical performances.Haifeng Yu Shouliang Wang Yanjie Hu Guanjie He Le Quoc Bao Ivan P.Parkin Hao Jiang 2022Green Energy & Environment2022,7,2:2
6Recent advances on study of hadrosaurid dinosaurs in Heilongjiang(Amur) River area between China and Russia显示文摘Four main dinosaur-bearing sites have been investigated in latest Cretaceous deposits from the Amur/Heilongjiang Region: Jiayin and Wulaga in China (Yuliangze Formation) ,Blagoveschensk and Kundur in Rus- sia (Udurchukan Formation) . More than 90% of the bones discovered in these localities belong to hollowcrested lambeosaurine hadrosaurids: Charonosaurus jiayinensis at Jiayin,Amurosaurus riabinini at Blagoveschensk, Olorotitan arharensis at Kundur,and Sahaliyania elunchunorum at Wulaga. Flat-headed hadrosaurine hadrosau- rids are much less numerous,but appear well diversified as well: Kerberosaurus manakini at Blagoveschensk, Wulagasaurus dongi at Wulaga,and a new genus at Kundur. Theropods are represented by shed teeth and isolated bones; isolated scutes and teeth discovered at Kundur are tentatively attributed to nodosaurids. Palynologi- cal studies suggest that these sites are probably synchronous with the Lancian' vertebrate localities of western North America,which represent the youngest dinosaur faunas in this area. However,the latest Cretaceous dinosaur assemblages are completely different in the Amur/Heilongjiang region (lambeosaurines abundant,ceratopsids absent) and in western North America (ceratopsids abundant,lambeosaurines extremely rare or absent) . 8Antiviral adsorption activity of porous silicon nanoparticles against different pathogenic human viruses显示文摘New viral infections,due to their rapid spread,lack of effective antiviral drugs and vaccines,kill millions of people every year.The global pandemic SARS-CoV-2 in 2019-2021 has shown that new strains of viruses can widespread very quickly,causing disease and death,with significant socio-economic consequences.Therefore,the search for new methods of combating different pathogenic viruses is an urgent task,and strategies based on nanoparticles are of significant interest.This work demonstrates the antiviral adsorption(virucidal)efficacy of nanoparticles of porous silicon(PSi NPs)against various enveloped and non-enveloped pathogenic human viruses,such as Influenza A virus,Poliovirus,Human immunodeficiency virus,West Nile virus,and Hepatitis virus.PSi NPs sized 60 nm with the average pore diameter of 2 nm and specific surface area of 200 m^(2)/g were obtained by ball-milling of electrochemically-etched microporous silicon films.After interaction with PSi NPs,a strong suppression of the infectious activity of the virus-contaminated fluid was observed,which was manifested in a decrease in the infectious titer of all studied types of viruses by approximately 104 times,and corresponded to an inactivation of 99.99%viruses in vitro.This sorption capacity of PSi NPs is possible due to their microporous structure and huge specific surface area,which ensures efficient capture of virions,as confirmed by ELISA analysis,dynamic light scattering measurements and transmission electron microscopy images.The results obtained indicate the great potential of using PSi NPs as universal viral sorbents and disinfectants for the detection and treatment of viral diseases.Liubov A.Osminkina Svetlana N.Agafilushkina Ekaterina A.Kropotkina Nikolay Yu Saushkin Ivan V.Bozhev Sergei S.Abramchuk Jeanne V.Samsonova Alexandra S.Gambaryan 2022Bioactive Materials2022,7,1:1

16Knowledge Mining:A Cross-disciplinary Survey显示文摘Knowledge mining is a widely active research area across disciplines such as natural language processing(NLP), data mining(DM), and machine learning(ML). The overall objective of extracting knowledge from data source is to create a structured representation that allows researchers to better understand such data and operate upon it to build applications. Each mentioned discipline has come up with an ample body of research, proposing different methods that can be applied to different data types. A significant number of surveys have been carried out to summarize research works in each discipline. 18Comparative and population genomics of buckwheat species reveal key determinants of flavor and fertility显示文摘Common buckwheat(Fagopyrum esculentum)is an ancient crop with a world-wide distribution.Due to its excellent nutritional quality and high economic and ecological value,common buckwheat is becoming increasingly important throughout the world.The availability of a high-quality reference genome sequence and population genomic data will accelerate the breeding of common buckwheat,but the high heterozygosity due to the outcrossing nature has greatly hindered the genome assembly.Here we report the assembly of a chromosome-scale high-quality reference genome of F.esculentum var.homotropicum,a homozygous self-pollinating variant of common buckwheat.Comparative genomics revealed that two cultivated buckwheat species,common buckwheat(F.esculentum)and Tartary buckwheat(F.tataricum),underwent metabolomic divergence and ecotype differentiation.The expansion of several gene families in common buckwheat,including FhFAR genes,is associated with its wider distribution than Tartary buckwheat.Copy number variation of genes involved in the metabolism of flavonoids is associated with the difference of rutin content between common and Tartary buckwheat.Furthermore,we present a comprehensive atlas of genomic variation based on whole-genome resequencing of 572 accessions of common buckwheat.Population and evolutionary genomics reveal genetic variation associated with environmental adaptability and floral development between Chinese and non-Chinese cultivated groups.Genome-wide association analyses of multi-year agronomic traits with the content of flavonoids revealed that Fh05G014970 is a potential major regulator of flowering period,a key agronomic trait controlling the yield of outcrossing crops,and that Fh06G015130 is a crucial gene underlying flavor-associated flavonoids.Intriguingly,we found that the gene translocation and sequence variation of FhS-ELF3 contribute to the homomorphic self-compatibility of common buckwheat.Collectively,our results elucidate the genetic basis of speciation,ecological adaptation,fertility,and unique flavor of common buckwheat,and provide new resources for future genomics-assisted breeding of this economically important crop.Kaixuan Zhang Yuqi He Xiang Lu Yaliang Shi Hui Zhao Xiaobo Li Jinlong Li Yang Liu Yinan Ouyang Yu Tang Xue Ren Xuemei Zhang Weifei Yang Zhaoxia Sun Chunhua Zhang Muriel Quinet Zlata Luthar Mateja Germ Ivan Kreft Dagmar Janovska Vladimir Meglic Barbara Pipan Milen I.Georgiev Bruno Studer Mark A.Chapman Meiliang Zhou 2023Molecular Plant2023,16,9:0
19STM Manipulation of Molecular Moulds on Metal Surfaces显示文摘Molecular Landers are a class of compounds containing an aromatic board as well as bulky side groups which upon adsorption of the molecule on a surface may lift the molecular board away from the substrate.Different molecular Landers have extensively been studied as model systems for nanomachines and the formation of molecular wires,as well as for their function as“molecular moulds”,i.e.,acting as templates by accommodating metal atoms underneath their aromatic board.Here,we investigate the adsorption of a novel Lander molecule 1,4-bis(4-(2,4-diaminotriazine)phenyl)-2,3,5,6-tetrakis(4-tert-butylphenyl)benzene(DAT,C_(64)H_(68)N_(10))on Cu(110)and Au(111)surfaces under ultrahigh vacuum(UHV)conditions.By means of scanning tunneling microscopy(STM)imaging and manipulation,we characterize the morphology and binding geometries of DAT molecules at terraces and step edges.On the Cu(110)surface,various contact configurations of individual DAT Landers were formed at the step edges in a controlled manner,steered by STM manipulation,including lateral translation,rotation,and pushing molecules to an upper terrace.The diffusion barrier of single DAT molecules on Au(111)is considerably smaller than on Cu(110).The DAT Lander is specially designed with diamino-triazine side groups making it suitable for future studies of molecular self-assembly by hydrogen-bonding interactions.The results presented here are an important guide to the choice of substrate for future studies using this compound.Miao Yu Wei Xu Youness Benjalal Regis Barattin Erik Lægsgaard Ivan Stensgaard Mohamed Hliwa Xavier Bouju AndréGourdon Christian Joachim Trolle R.Linderoth Flemming Besenbacher 2009Nano Research2009,2,3:0
