1A Comparison of Carlin-type Gold Deposits:Guizhou Province,Golden Triangle,Southwest China,and Northern Nevada,USA显示文摘Several Au deposits in Guizhou Province,southwest China,described as being similar to the highly productive Carlin-type gold deposits in northern Nevada.USA,were examined to identify similarities and differences between the two districts.Samples were collected along transects from lowto high-grade rock,where possible,and fram stockpiles at the Shuiyindong,Zimudang,Taipingdong,Yata and Jinfeng(formerly Lannigou)deposits.Methods used to examine ore and alteration minerals included hand-sample description:reflectance spectroscopy using an ASD Terraspec spectrometer;analyses of hand samples by carbonate staining with Alizaren red and potassium ferricyanide;transmitted and reflected light petrography;chemical analyses,mineral identification,and imaging using a JEOL.JSM-5610 scanning electron microscope:and quantitative chemical analyses using a JEOL JXA-8900 electron probe microanalyzer.Geochemical analyses of hand samples for 52 elements were done by ALS Chemex.Results indicate both similarities and differences between the two districts.Both districts have similar geologic histories.and deposits at both locations appear to have formed as a result of similar tectonic events.though the district in southwest China lacks evidence of eoeval felsic igneous activity;however,the ore-stage minerals and the fluids that produced the minerals and deposits have some significant differences.The Nevada deposits were dominated by fluid-rock reaction in which host rock Fe was sulfidized to form Au-bearing pyrite.Although ore fluids sulfidized host rock Fe in the Cuizhou deposits.the timing of Fe metasomatism is unknown,so whether the deposits formed in response to sulfidation or pyritization is unclear.Fluid-rock reaction between an acidic,aqueous fluid and highly reactive calcareous rocks in Nevada caused extensive decarbonatization of host rocks,jasperoid replacemerit of carbonate minerals,and alteration of silty rock components to illite and kaolinite.In Guizhou,CO2-bearing ore fluids with temperatures and pressures approaching 100℃ and 500 bars greater than temperatures and pressures detemained for ore fluids in the Nevada deposits,deposited Aubearing pyrite.In examined Guizhou deposits these fluids carbonatized host rocks and farmed both replacement and open-space-filling ore.The fluids,which may have been immiscible,were sufficiently overpressured to fracture wall rocks and to create significant open space filled by vein quartz.While deposit architecture,tectonic setting,and host rocks in Guizhou are quite similar to northern Nevada,ore and alteration minerals suggest that ore-forming processes in examined Guizhou deposits have important similarities to processes associated with formation of orogenic Au systems.The Guizhou deposits display characteristics of both Carlin-type and orogenic systems,perhaps indicating formation at conditions somewhat intermediate to conditions for Carlin-type deposits and orogenic systems.Jean S.CLlNE John L.MUNTEAN Xuexiang GU Yong XIA 2013地学前缘2013,20,1:23
2The enhanced X-ray Timing and Polarimetry mission—eXTP显示文摘In this paper we present the enhanced X-ray Timing and Polarimetry mission—eXTP. eXTP is a space science mission designed to study fundamental physics under extreme conditions of density, gravity and magnetism. The mission aims at determining the equation of state of matter at supra-nuclear density, measuring effects of QED, and understanding the dynamics of matter in strong-field gravity. In addition to investigating fundamental physics, eXTP will be a very powerful observatory for astrophysics that will provide observations of unprecedented quality on a variety of galactic and extragalactic objects. 3Connexin 43 hemichannels protect bone loss during estrogen deficiency显示文摘Estrogen deficiency in postmenopausal women is a major cause of bone loss,resulting in osteopenia,osteoporosis,and a high risk for bone fracture.Connexin 43 (Cx43) hemichannels (HCs) in osteocytes play an important role in osteocyte viability,bone formation,and remodeling.We showed here that estrogen deficiency reduced Cx43 expression and HC function.To determine if functional HCs protect osteocytes and bone loss during estrogen deficiency,we adopted an ovariectomy model in wild-type (WT) and two transgenic Cx43 mice:R76W (dominant-negative mutant inhibiting only gap junction channels) and Cx43 Δ130–136 (dominant-negative mutant compromising both gap junction channels and HCs).The bone mineral density (BMD),bone structure,and histomorphometric changes of cortical and trabecular bones after ovariectomy were investigated.Our results showed that the Δ130–136 transgenic cohort had greatly decreased vertebral trabecular bone mass compared to WT and R76W mice,associated with a significant increase in the number of apoptotic osteocyte and empty lacunae.Moreover,osteoclast surfaces in trabecular and cortical bones were increased after ovariectomy in the R76W and WT mice,respectively,but not in Δ130–136 mice.These data demonstrate that impairment of Cx43 HCs in osteocytes accelerates vertebral trabecular bone loss and increase in osteocyte apoptosis,and further suggest that Cx43 HCs in osteocytes protect trabecular bone against catabolic effects due to estrogen deficiency.Liang Ma Rui Hua Yi Tian Hongyun Cheng Roberto Jose Fajardo Joseph J. 4Mechanotransduction via the coordinated actions of integrins,PI3K signaling and Connexin hemichannels显示文摘Mechanical loading opens connexin 43(Cx43)hemichannels(HCs),leading to the release of bone anabolic molecules,such as prostaglandins,from mechanosensitive osteocytes,which is essential for bone formation and remodeling.However,the mechanotransduction mechanism that activates HCs remains elusive.Here,we report a unique pathway by which mechanical signals are effectively transferred between integrin molecules located in different regions of the cell,resulting in HC activation.Both integrinα5 andαV were activated upon mechanical stimulation via either fluid dropping or flow shear stress(FSS).Inhibition of integrinαV activation or ablation of integrinα5 prevented HC opening on the cell body when dendrites were mechanically stimulated,suggesting mechanical transmission from the dendritic integrinαV toα5 in the cell body during HC activation.In addition,HC function was compromised in vivo,as determined by utilizing an antibody blockingαV activation andα5-deficient osteocyte-specific knockout mice.Furthermore,inhibition of integrinαV activation,but not that ofα5,attenuated activation of the phosphoinositide 3-kinase(PI3K)-protein kinase B(AKT)signaling pathway upon mechanical loading,and the inhibition of PI3K/AKT activation blocked integrinα5 activation and HC opening.Moreover,HC opening was blocked only by an anti-integrinαV antibody at low but not high FSS levels,suggesting that dendriticαV is a more sensitive mechanosensor thanα5 for activating HCs.Together,these results reveal a new molecular mechanism of mechanotransduction involving the coordinated actions of integrins and PI3K/AKT in osteocytic dendritic processes and cell bodies that leads to HC opening and the release of key bone anabolic factors.Manuel A.Riquelme Sumin Gu Rui Hua Jean X.Jiang 2021Bone Research2021,9,1:7

18Bladder-colon chronic cross-sensitization involves neuro-glial pathways in male mice显示文摘BACKGROUND Irritable bowel syndrome and bladder pain syndrome often overlap and are both characterized by visceral hypersensitivity.Since pelvic organs share common sensory pathways,it is likely that those syndromes involve a cross-sensitization of the bladder and the colon.The precise pathophysiology remains poorly understood.AIM To develop a model of chronic bladder-colon cross-sensitization and to investigate the mechanisms involved.METHODS Chronic cross-organ visceral sensitization was obtained in C57BL/6 mice using ultrasound-guided intravesical injections of acetic acid under brief isoflurane anesthesia.Colorectal sensitivity was assessed in conscious mice by measuring intracolonic pressure during isobaric colorectal distensions.Myeloperoxidase,used as a marker of colorectal inflammation,was measured in the colon,and colorectal permeability was measured using chambers.c-Fos protein expression,used as a marker of neuronal activation,was assessed in the spinal cord(L6-S1 level)using immunohistochemistry.Green fluorescent protein on the fractalkine receptor-positive mice were used to identify and count microglia cells in the L6-S1 dorsal horn of the spinal cord.The expression of NK1 receptors and MAPK-p38 were quantified in the spinal cord using western blot.RESULTS Visceral hypersensitivity to colorectal distension was observed after the intravesical injection of acetic acid vs saline(P<0.0001).This effect started 1 h post-injection and lasted up to 7 d postinjection.No increased permeability or inflammation was shown in the bladder or colon 7 d postinjection.Visceral hypersensitivity was associated with the increased expression of c-Fos protein in the spinal cord(P<0.0001).In green fluorescent protein on the fractalkine receptor-positive mice,intravesical acetic acid injection resulted in an increased number of microglia cells in the L6-S1 dorsal horn of the spinal cord(P<0.0001).NK1 receptor and MAPK-p38 levels were increased in the spinal cord up to 7 d after injection(P=0.007 and 0.023 respectively).Colorectal sensitization was prevented by intrathecal or intracerebroventricular injections of minocycline,a microglia inhibitor,by intracerebroventricular injection of CP-99994 dihydrochloride,a NK1 antagonist,and by intracerebroventricular injection of SB203580,a MAPK-p38 inhibitor.CONCLUSION We describe a new model of cross-organ visceral sensitization between the bladder and the colon in mice.Intravesical injections of acetic acid induced a long-lasting colorectal hypersensitivity to distension,mediated by neuroglial interactions,MAPK-p38 phosphorylation and the NK1 receptor.Karim Atmani Fabien Wuestenberghs Maximilien Baron Illona Bouleté Charlène Guérin Wafa Bahlouli David Vaudry Jean Claude do Rego Jean-Nicolas Cornu Anne-Marie Leroi Moïse Coëffier Mathieu Meleine Guillaume Gourcerol 2022World Journal of Gastroenterology2022,28,48:1
